1-Thessalonians_5-17: Pray without ceasing

The essence of Prayer cannot be overemphasized hence the Bible admonishes us in

Luke 18:1 KJV

“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;”. Also in

1 Thessalonians 5:17 KJV

“Pray without ceasing.”.

The creator of Heaven and Earth and all that consists have everything in place before bringing His people to dwell here. God makes no mistakes. The human nature always resist to pray to God, saying God knows everything and all that we might need at every point in time! Yes God is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient. The essence of prayer is more than asking for bread and complaining to God hence the Bible tells us in

Matthew 4:4 KJV

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

We don’t just pray to receive from God but to maintain fellowship with God. We pray to receive information that helps us in carrying out daily and every other activities that pertains to our wellbeing. When we pray, we receive information that helps us solve problems that are beyond human capability. When we pray, we receive information on the mind of God concerning every situation that we might be running helter skelter to know from human point of view.

Prayer in general should be seen as the channel through which we communicate with God and God to us. Without communication especially with God, we will be completely ineffective, inefficient in all that we do or planning to do. Praying might prove to be a daunting task for a good number of people, but the rewards are always astronomical if done with Faith, Patience and Perseverance.

There is no one who can claim exhaustive knowledge about prayer. The knowledge about prayer is being gained as one who practice it continuously follow its course and as he/she does that, the GOD expounds more to any one that follows diligently. As far as Heaven and Earth is concern, no living being can claim absolute knowledge of prayer, as that belongs to God Almighty Alone.

1. Pray that House On The Rock will remain at the cutting edge of ministry, relevant to God’s agenda. Declare that our legacy shall be an everlasting one through many generations, with God being the inspiration through all spheres of the Ministry.

Isaiah 41:15
Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff

Jeremiah 51:20-21
Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms; And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;

2. Pray that every leader in House On The Rock will remain connected to the vision and aligned with the spirit, doctrine and values of our Senior Pastor and this Ministry.

1. Declare that all those incensed against the Body of Christ, who have lifted their hands against God’s dwelling place to destroy His people, will be brought to utter nothingness. Release angelic protection for God’s people in the Land.

Isaiah 41:11-12
Behold, all those who were incensed against you Shall be ashamed and disgraced; They shall be as nothing, And those who strive with you shall perish. You shall seek them and not find them-Those who contended with you. Those who war against you Shall be as nothing, As a nonexistent thing

2. Insist that the healing streams of God and the wellspring of Joy will flow ceaselessly for Pastor Paul and his family, to inundate and quench all fiery assaults against their lives, health, ministry and progress.

Ecclesiastes 5:20
For he will not dwell unduly on the days of his life, because God keeps him busy with the joy of his heart.

1. Declare that Nigeria is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, everyone and everything in it. Insist that God’s eternal kingdom and will rules over our nation.

Psalm 24:1
The earth is the LORD’S, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.

Revelation 11:15
Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!

2. Release divine protection over fathers, mothers and children planted in the House, asking that God will keep and deliver them from all evil and working of the spirit of darkness. Pray that families will remain under the covering of God and His mercies.

Psalms 91:10-11
No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.

3. Pray that all the desires and needs of our Snr. Pastor’s family will be supernaturally met by God.

4. Pray that strategic and effectual doors of ministry be opened in every nation and institution where God would have this commission go. Declare that we will not lack wisdom, skill, grace, supernatural provision, human capital, material, financial and supernatural help to do God’s bidding.

1. 1. Pray for a fresh outpouring of Gods anointing oil upon the Senior Pastor and the Leadership of House On The Rock, ask that the power and the grace of the Lord will make a difference in their lives and the ministry.

Psalms 89:20
I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him.

Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.

2. Thank God for our children. Pray for the salvation of our children and ask The Lord to draw our unsaved children to Himself.

3. Declare that our children will be taught of The Lord, they will not bring reproach or dishonor to the name of the Lord or their families. Declare that they are protected from negative influences and preserved from the moral decadence and influence of the spirit of this age.

Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.

4. Dismantle and uproot all satanic strongholds, systems and structures responsible for radical religious ideologies and philosophies, belief systems and demonic cultures in this generation. Pray that an overwhelming wind of revival blow across the nations, bringing repentance, revival and great harvest of souls into the kingdom.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

1. Release the reward and blessings of diligence, integrity, faithfulness and commitment upon our businesses and vocations. Ask the Lord of the harvest to crown our efforts with His goodness.

Proverbs 10:4
He who has a slack hand becomes poor, But the hand of the diligent makes rich.

Proverbs 12:24
The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy man will be put to forced labor.

Proverbs13:4
The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.

Proverbs 21:5
The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, But those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.

Proverbs 22:29
Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

2. Release the blessing of health and fruitfulness upon every home. Ask God to take away sickness, infirmities and bareness from our midst as declared in his word.

Exodus 23:25-26
So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.

3. Declare that unity and peace will characterize every family in House On The Rock. Come against internal and external attack on the unity and stability of our families and home.

With all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4. Pray that the gates of hell will not prevail against the growth of the Body of Christ, bind the influence of the enemy and pray for angelic protection for God’s people in the Land.

•We declare the blessing of bountiful increase and multiplication upon All House On The Rock Churches and the respective resident Pastors.

1. Pray that this year and onward you will walk in the supernatural like never before – supernatural health, wealth, favour etc. Pray that the Rhema word of God and clear cut vision will characterize your daily life, thereby granting you inexplicable victories.

Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Matthew 4:4

1. Decree that Nigeria shall be built up and her cities established. Reverse the downward trend of decay and degeneration in the nation; prohibit retrogression in the land.

Isaiah 58:12
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

2. Pray that the hand of our Senior Pastor and the entire leadership will be strengthened by the Hand of our God. Declare help and grace for the next level of the Work

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Genesis 49:24
But his bow remained in strength, And the arms of his hands were made strong By the hands of the Mighty God of Jacob (From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel).

3. Ask God to arise in His anger and sore displeasure in defense of His people (the Body of Christ) and in remembrance of the congregation purchased by His blood.

Psalms 74:2
Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.

4. Pray that as a wise master builder, you will build your life, family, business, career, destiny etc., not on sinking sand, but on the solid rock of God’s infallible word.

Matthew 7:24-25
Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

Declarations:
•We declare that our youths are wise, visionary, virtuous, and of quick understanding. They are not influenced by the spirit of this age, instead, they remain examples of godliness, chastity and excellence among their peers in this generation – in the Name of Jesus!

House On The Rock. PUSH. Pray Until Something Happens.

DAY 6 – MARCH 12th 2016.

1. Declare that our Nation will become self-reliant in the manufacturing of goods and services. Ask that there will be an emergence of quality infrastructure and sustainable development in our Nation.

Isaiah 60:17
Instead of bronze I will bring gold, Instead of iron I will bring silver, Instead of wood, bronze, And instead of stones, iron. I will also make your officers peace, And your magistrates righteousness.

Psalm 67:5-6
Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.

2. Pray that the blessing and fragrance of God’s favor will rest upon House On The Rock members as they engage in businesses and diverse career in the market place.

Exodus 3:21
And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:

Genesis 27:27, 28
And he came near and kissed him; and he smelled the smell of his clothing, and blessed him and said: “Surely, the smell of my son Is like the smell of a field Which the LORD has blessed. Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:

3. Pray that the eyes of your understanding be flooded with light so that you may comprehend the divine potentials reposed in you. Insist that disorder, chaos and darkness will no longer becloud your life.

Genesis 1:2-3
The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.

Ephesians 1:18-19
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power

4. Ask that God will continue to build this House, keep, guard, protect and defend His work and all numbered in our congregation.

Psalm 127:1
Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.

Isaiah 31:5
Like birds flying about, So will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem. Defending, He will also deliver it; Passing over, He will preserve it.”
