666 or 777

666 or 777?

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Revelation 13:18

This beast does great wonders, making a fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. The mark of the beast in Scripture is six, the number of a man, meaning incompleteness. The beast’s system is three sixes or an incomplete system which will fail. Satan designed it, of course, so it cannot succeed. Satan, antichrist, and the false prophet will fail.

It is important that you have an understanding of 666. Satan can’t win, so there’s no reason to hook up with him. I am not hooked up with satan, and I am not hooked up with the Babylonian system. I am hooked up with Jesus the Messiah! His number is seven, and with that number of completeness you get the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and they win!

We are living in an anti-God, humanistic, anti-Word of God system that prevails in our educational systems and in our media. We see the rise of every kind of sin. Every perversion we can imagine is no longer shocking. We are in the last of the last days; in fact, we are in that sliver of time between Jerusalem no longer being trodden down of the Gentiles and the rapture of the church. Jesus said, “No man knows the day nor hour,” but He did say that you will know by the leaves turning on the trees that summer is near. Summer is near and the return of the Lord is near, so we need to be ready!

Prayer for Today

Father!
Your Word tells me everything I need to walk in light and truth. Your Spirit gives me everything I need to walk with courage and strength. Your Son gives me life, and I thank you! In Jesus Christ! Name, Amen.

A Sword, Stars, Candlesticks And The Seven Churches

A Sword, Stars, Candlesticks And The Seven Churches

And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword:
and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength…. The
mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the
seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the
seven churches.

Revelation 1:15-16, 20

Imagine that you are John and you are doing your best to describe what
you’re looking at! He sees a number of things: seven golden
candlesticks, referring to the churches; and seven stars, referring to
angels. The purpose of the candlestick is to give light, and that is
the purpose of the church. If the church doesn’t bring light to people-light to its community and light to ignorance and darkness-if it
doesn’t reveal God and His Word and His plan, it is of no value.

Notice also that out of Jesus’ mouth-the image John is describing-is a
sharp, two-edged sword. A double-edged sword cuts both ways.

Some people think that when they read about the angel of the church
that it is referring to the pastor, but it is not. The angels provide
assistance to the pastor and to the church. The angels provide help to
all individuals who are born again. If you are an heir of salvation,
God has assigned you an angel that has been involved in your life to
the degree that you have allowed him to work for you. Scripture tells
you that you will eventually judge your angel. But I wouldn’t be too
fast to get on his case, lest he bring out the cameras, roll back the
tape, and document what you’ve been saying and doing!

Prayer for Today

Father,
Your ways are beyond my understanding. Your ways are higher than mine.
Thank You for Your Word and Your Spirit bringing light and life. In
Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

The Word Of God Is The Most Powerful Force Ever Released

The Word Of God Is The Most Powerful Force Ever Released

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,)
before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and
calleth those things which be not as though they were

Romans 4:17

The most powerful thing in the universe is not some chemical, atomic, nuclear, or hydrogen weapon of mass destruction. No, the most powerful
force ever released in the history of the universe is the Word of God!
God’s Word stands forever, and it is the prime creative force of the
God who calls things into being. God’s Word creates! God’s Word lives!

I am thankful that satan wasn’t a student of prophecy. Satan didn’t
understand what was happening during the thirty-three years Jesus was
on the earth. God gave the devil fair warning in Genesis 3:15, but he
just didn’t get it. Had the princes of this world truly understood
God’s Word, they never would have crucified the Lord of Glory.

When satan and his human allies killed Jesus, they became the victims
of God’s master strategy. Satan thought he had Jesus where He wanted
him when the final battle began in the Garden of Gethsemane, but they
didn’t know that they were about to be stripped of the keys of death,
hell and the grave! When all was said and done, Jesus was the one to
whom all power had been given! Hallelujah!

Prayer for Today

Father,
You are all-powerful! You are almighty! Thank you for your Spirit who
lives and reigns in me to help me live victorious over all the evil
strategies satan places in my way. In Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

Growing In Love

Love

Growing in Love

[Love] rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things…. Beareth all things, believeth all things,
hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1 Corinthians 13:5,7

Let me say something that may shock you but is nevertheless true: You don’t really fall in love with someone until after you’ve been married to them. All the other feel-good things that happen in courtship aren’t
real love. These things aren’t necessarily bad, and you have to admit
that they feel awfully good, but they aren’t real love.

You don’t “fall” in love; you grow in love. You grow love over time,
choosing again and again to take advantage of God’s love and power to
extend love to both your mate and yourself.

This is God‘s plan for marriage. Any time you tinker with God’s plan,
somebody pays a terrible price. Where divorce is concerned, not only do
the spouses suffer but the children get stuck with the painful bill for
their parent’s foolishness. It is always better for a couple to get in
God’s Word and work it out in love, and keep working it out. At least
that way the child sees that a person doesn’t just cut and run when
things get tough. If a child sees a parent run from difficulty, it will
be easier for the child to do the same thing in school, on the job, in
his or her relationships, and in every other area of their lives.

Believe God and stand on His Word. When you do, you’ll get God’s power
involved in your situation. It may appear hopeless, but there’s no
hopelessness with God.

Prayer for Today

Dear Heavenly Father,
You are hope. You are life. You are love itself, and You are the One
who can keep my relationships-including my marriage-on a firm
foundation that stands the tests of time and adversity. I run to You
and look to Your Word for love that never fails. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Love Never Fails

Marriage Day

Love Never Fails

Charity [or love] never faileth.
1 Corinthians 13:8a

God‘s plan for man and woman and for preserving Christian marriage
relationships, in particular, is summed up in a single chapter of the
Bible, 1 Corinthians . When God talks about love, He’s talking about
agape love, the God-kind of love. This love never fails, which means
that there’s no time and no place when it won’t work. A man and a woman
who are citing “irreconcilable differences” as their reason for getting
a divorce don’t have any Word to stand on.

Love suffers long. Real love isn’t a sweet concoction that loses its
power after the first taste or two. The love that anchors marriages for
a lifetime goes way beyond the temporary psychological and biochemical
thrill we call “falling in love.”

Real love doesn’t fade just because wrinkles begin to gather around the
face and middle-age fat deposits begin to gather around the waist. It
lasts through the ravages of time. True love springs from the inner
person.

Envy and pride have fractured the foundations of countless marriages
over the centuries. Rudeness also can create unbearable friction in a
marriage relationship. Love doesn’t have to have its own way. When you
have to have everything done your way in a marriage, you aren’t
extending love towards your spouse; you’re entangling your mate with
control.

Prayer for Today

Father,
I worship You for loving me with agape love, unconditional love. I come
to You with an open heart, asking that Your Spirit empower me to love
others with the God-kind of love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Living Soul, God’s Seed

A Living Soul, God‘s Seed

But did He not make them one, having a remnant of the Spirit? And
why one? He seeks godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your
spirit, And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth.

Malachi 2:15

God wants His people to marry born-again believers because He seeks
godly seed. It is no accident that my children are called to the
ministry. There is a “generational anointing” that is a crucial
component of God’s plan for man. Tendencies toward alcoholism, drug abuse and witchcraft tend to be passed down from parents to children
for generations (barring supernatural intervention by the power of God,
but this is a dim picture of the true purpose of generational
transference-God wants to pass on the anointing on you and your spouse
to your children, only in greater measure!).

Abortion is another way the enemy tries to steal God’s seed from the
earth. We can create bodies through the reproduction process, but it is
God who puts life in that union. You may say, “A woman has a right to
do what she wants with her own body.”

Yes, she has a right to do what she wants with her body, but when she’s
pregnant, we’re talking not only about her body but also about the body
of somebody else inside hers. A woman’s body is just an incubator that
keeps that new human being warm and fed. That being is a living soul,
and it is God’s seed.

Prayer for Today

I thank You for being wonderfully made. Thank You for knowing me in my
mother’s womb and for showing me how much You value the life You’ve
created. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Beware of the Temptation to Be Your Own God

Beware of the Temptation to Be Your Own God

For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Genesis 3:5

The serpent was appealing to the lust of being your own god and calling
your own shots. At this point, Eve was still without sin, but her
willingness to listen to satan’s lies had put her on the slippery slope
of temptation. Satan tried the same tactic on Jesus when he offered Him
all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them” (Matthew 4:8).
Jesus didn’t listen to satan’s temptations; He cut him off with the
Word of God.

Many Christians deal with satan’s temptations as Eve did, so it isn’t
surprising that large numbers of people who show up for church on
Sunday mornings live our lives as though we are our own gods. You may
say, “I don’t have any idols!” No? Any time you decide what you are
going to do with your life and how you are going to do it without
regard to God’s Word and without seeking His kingdom first, you have
declared your intention to become your own god.

Prayer for Today

Father,
You are the giver of life. Thank You for placing Your glory on me. I am
Your child, and You are my God and Your ways are my path. In Jesus’
name, Amen.

Seeing Doubt For What It Is

Seeing Doubt For What It Is

Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which
the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God
said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Genesis 3:1

The enemy of our souls never seems to make a direct frontal attack. In
this verse, we see that he begins his assault by approaching the woman
God got from Adam’s rib. If you must defeat a two-person team, you
rarely begin with an assault on the stronger or the senior member. You
tackle the junior or the smaller member first, hoping to divide and
conquer. This technique began with satan in the Garden.

His first device is to question God’s Word in a subtle way: “Hath God
said…?” The devil always works to introduce doubt, but usually he
does it so smoothly that you may not even recognize it at first. The Hebrew word for subtle means cunning, crafty and smooth. Notice that he
asks questions, planting doubt in our hearts and minds: Is this really
God’s way? Did He really mean what He said? Does it have to be only
this way? What do you think God really meant?

It is no accident that satan asked Eve this question. He wasn’t
interested in Eve’s answer; he was interested in planning his own
answer in Eve’s mind.

Prayer for Today

Father,
Your Word remains true and faithful, even in the fact of satan’s
attacks. I choose to listen only to You and to plant Your Words in my
heart and mind so that I can live blameless before You. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Own Up to Guilt

Own Up to Guilt

And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. And the Lord God said unto the woman,
What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, “The serpent
beguiled me, and I did eat.”

Genesis 3:12, 13
Where sin is concerned, there is no difference between men and women.
Both are equally quick to pass off their guilt. This, too, is a
favourite tactic the enemy uses against believers. God is always
interested in honest confession, repentance and complete forgiveness,
but satan only wants us to point the finger in endless blame games that
combine guilt and shame with the sins of being a false witness and
judging one another.

Once God heard what Adam and Eve had to say, He dealt with each party
to the sin one by one. In Genesis 3:15, God began His judgment with the
father of lies and spoke prophetically that satan’s head would be
bruised by Eve’s seed (God’s seed in Jesus Christ). He told the devil
what was coming, but since satan has been stripped of his anointing, he
has also been stripped of his ability to receive revelation. He heard
what God said but didn’t have the revelation to fully understand the
plans of God.

Woman was deceived, but man made a wrong decision knowingly. Eve’s
error took womankind down a step in the social order and in physical
safety and comfort until Jesus restored her to her original position.
Adam’s sin took all mankind-male and female-straight to the grave. Once
again, it took the Son of God Himself to bring us to a glorious
resurrection.

You know me inside and out-You know everything about me. Thank You for

God Knows Who You Are

To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also…lest Satan should get
an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

2 Corinthians 2:10, 11

Satan is the most dangerous con artist and swindler of all time, but many people don’t realize that he is unable to change his tactics. He
has pulling the same old tricks in the same old way for all the 6,000
years that men have been on this planet. He hasn’t changed.

God has a far-reaching and comprehensive plan for man. He has a
clear-cut purpose for each and every individual. He even has a plan for
“ignorance,” as seen in this verse. Unfortunately, in this day and age
there seems to be a great deal of ignorance in the body of Christ
concerning satan’s devices. Too many people keep falling for the same
old tricks of satan over and over again.

According to the apostle Paul, the best defense against the schemes of
the enemy is to be aware of his techniques and tricks. You wont’ fall
for his devices when you understand how he operates and comes against
you.

Prayer for Today

Father,
I worship You for being a God who gives me insight into satan’s
schemes. I thank You that there’s power in the wonderful name of Jesus!
I choose to look at my situation through eyes of faith. In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
