Biblical Structure

  • The Old Testament consists traditionally of three major sections: the Law, the Prophets, and the Writings.
  • The Law consists of the first five books of the Old Testament. This section is also called the Torah or the Pentateuch.
  • The Prophets are in two groups: the Former Prophets (Joshua, Judges, Samuel, and Kings), and the Latter Prophets (Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Hoseah, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi).
  • Of the Latter Prophets, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel are considered Major Prophets, with the rest being Minor Prophets. This designation refers to the volume of writing rather than the content of the books.
  • The Writings consist of three groups: Wisdom (Psalms, Proverbs, and Job), Scrolls (Song of Songs, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes, and Esther), and Histories (Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Chronicles).
  • Though it contains significant prophetic passages, the book of Daniel is considered belonging to the Historical Writings.
  • Psalm 119 is an acrostic poem. Each section begins with a different letter of the Hebrew alphabet.
  • The New Testament consists of four major sections: the Gospels, the Acts of the Apostles, the Epistles, and the Revelation.
  • The Gospels are Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. They detail the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

History

  • The oldest book of the Bible is Job, estimated to have been written around 1100 BC.
  • The newest book of the Old Testament is Malachi, written about 400 BC.
  • The New Testament was written in the period between 45 and 95 AD, the newest book being Revelation.
  • The Old Testament was written mostly in Hebrew, with just a few passages written in Aramaic.
  • The New Testament was written in Greek.
  • The Old Testament was canonized around 300 BC.

THE WONDERS OF REVERSING THE IRREVERSIBLE  A Sermon And Prayer Points By Pastor E A Adeboye RCCG 2012 Holy Ghost Congress

Text:    Ezekiel 37 V 4

The Lord Almighty can do all things, He is the all knowing God, Psalm 115 v 15 He is the sovereign one.

The one more appropriate name of God to describe Him tonight can be found in Rev 1 v8 He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, the One who is the One who was and the One who is to come.

Now what is the implication of this?  It means what has gone, what is happening and what is to come all meet together in Him.

As a result of this He controls time and season, Daniel2v 20 -21. If He wants He can stop time like it happen in Joshua 12 v 10 -14;

He told the Sun to stay where it was and don’t set, and the sun stood still.

He can do more than that, He can reverse time according to Isaiah 8v 7-8  The past present and future coincide in Him.

He can go right into the past pick something there and bring it to the present meaning He can pick what you thought you have lost forever and bring it back to you again.

He can go into the future and bring it to the present, like in the case of the wedding in the Canaan of Galilee; when His mother told him the wine is finished, Jesus Christ said woman my time has not yet come but that same day His time came and He performed His first miracle.

He made laws to control nature and gravity, but all these laws are made for His pleasure according to Revelation 4 v 1-11.

Whenever He wants He can suspend the laws, just like He did in 2 king 6 v 1-7, you don’t need much of science to know that if you throw a wood into the water it will float, but when the axe head of the sons of the prophet fell into the water in 2kings 6 v 1-17, Elisha cut a wood, threw it into the water and the axe head float instead of the wood.

He can suspend law, He can reverse them, and then He can override them.

The Lord in His sovereigns can restore lost opportunity.  He can change curses into blessings.

You will see this in Genesis 49 v 5-7 when Joshua placed a curse on anyone who tries to build the wall of Jericho but years later in Numbers 3 v 11 Elisha put an end to that curse and turned it into a blessing.

God can also  keep a destiny in suspense if you look at Daniel 4  King Nebuchadnezzar offended God , so he turned him to an animal for seven years.

Everybody was looking at him as an animal, humanly speaking it was over for him, but in the whole seven years nobody dethroned him, until He restore him back as a king and added excellent majesty to him.

God can turn dry bones into an army, He can make hopeless situation to be hopeful. He can reverse the irreversible.

The question now is for whom will God do this?  These are the kind of people who serve God voluntarily according to 2 kings 4 v 8-17.

God is not ready to help the one who is not ready seek for Him Mark 11 v 46.

Lastly anyone who is going to have the irreversible reversed, must surrender to Him completely.

PRAYER POINTS

1.                Praise Him because of His Almightiness He can do all things

2.                Father, You are the Help of the helpless please help me.

3.                Please restore to me Father every opportunities that I have lost.

4.                Father, give me another chance.

5.                Father, change every curse in my life to a blessing.

6.                Father, if need be re-write my destiny for the better tonight.

7.                Father, reverse the irreversible for me tonight.

WORD OF PROPHECY

Daddy says whatever blessings you have already will not be lost.

Daddy says stop seeking human attention, I Am all you need and I Am more than sufficient.

The Lord said very soon it will be difficult to belief you were once a failure.

The Lord says never again will the devil have a say concerning your progress.

SUMMARY OF Day 2  MESSAGE by Pastor E. A. Adeboye

Topic: WONDERS OF THE SPOKEN WORDS:  Isaiah 55 v 10-11

This word can bring order out of confusion according to Mark 4 v 31- 41.

The word has to be spoken before it becomes effective.

The moment it is spoken it can no longer be erased or recalled until it has accomplished the purpose for which It  is sent.

The word can transform darkness to light and it can also turn emptiness to fullness.

Conditions you must satisfied so that your spoken word will become effective:

1 Acquaint yourself with the Almighty God

2. Be at peace with God; surrender to God completely

3. Lay up God’s word in your heart.

4. Pay your vows.

PRAYER POINTS

1.         Praise God because His word has already gone out to you and it will not return to Him void.

2.         Father according to Exodus 15 i can enjoin divine health if I hearken diligently to your word and obey. I will hearken diligently to your word and obey. I hereby decree that from now on, I will enjoin divine health.

3.         Father, according to Psalm 23 v 6 if i dwell permanently with you; goodness and mercy shall follow me. I hereby decree because I will dwell permanently, that Goodness and mercy shall be mine all the days of my life.

4.         Father, according to Psalm 91 because I am going to dwell with you no evil shall come near me, I hereby decree because i am going to dwell permanently with you, evil will never come near my dwelling place again.

5.         Father, according to Psalm 118 v 17 because I will witness, I will tell people about your good works, I hereby decree I shall live, I shall not die.

6.         Father, according to John 15 v 16 if I am constantly winning souls for you all my prayers will be answered, I hereby decree that from now on before I call God please answer.

7.         Personal prayer request.

Songs of praise the angels sang,
heaven with alleluias rang,

Songs of praise awoke the morn
when the Prince of Peace was born;
songs of praise arose when he
captive led captivity.

Heaven and earth must pass away;

Hebrews 10:5-7. Your Body And Your Health By Pastor Sam Adeyemi

God designed the human body as earth-suits for our spirits for the period we are on earth. Every human body is specifically adapted to suit God’s purpose and destiny for each person, so it’s our responsibility to take very good care of the bodies given to us. The starting point is accepting our bodies- height, nose, teeth, eyes, etc. – the way God designed it. The prophecy in our opening scriptural reference tells us that Jesus’ body was specifically given to Him for the fulfilment of His purpose. In Psalm 139:14, the Psalmist says,’ I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvellous are your works’.  Everything God has given you is perfect for your destiny; do not desire to be like anybody else.

  2. I bind every spirit of career destruction in the name of Jesus.

  4. Father Lord, loose Your angels to go and create favour for me before my boss and other members of my department.
  5. I bind spirits in all the personnel who would try to use evil against me, including lying, gossip and slander and opinionated spirits in the name of Jesus.
  6. Father, loose Your angels to go and create favour with my boss and to secure my position in the name of Jesus.
  7. I receive power to fight the enemy and drive him back in my life, job, finances and home in the name of Jesus.

  14. Lord, send us staff who will be a healthy perspective to our organization.
  15. Lord, bring me staff with fresh approach that will enhance the company’s ability to grow and turn a profit.
  16. Lord, help me to manage the people in my organization well.
  17. Lord, bless the family of my staff financially and physically.
  18. Lord, help all my members of staff to control their tongue.
  19. Father, give us the anointing to get the job done above and beyond our own strength, abilities, gifts and talents.
  20. Lord, impart to all members of staff, everything they need to perform their duties with joy and excellence.
  21. If the right persons for our work are not currently here, Lord bring them here.
  22. Help us Lord to serve our customers better.
  23. Help us Lord to be more sensitive to the needs of our customers and be more responsible to their desires and wants.
  24. Lord, help us to be on the lookout for ways to provide better products and services.
  25. Lord, help me to yield to the Holy Spirit whenever I encounter circumstances beyond my knowledge.
  26. Lord, always help me to do my very best at all times.
  27. Let all our workers perform their duties with a spirit of excellence.
  28. Let all our workers fulfil their duties to the best of their ability.
  29. I break myself and my workers loose from an un-productive habits in Jesus’ name.
  30. Lord, let all our workers receive the enabling power to plan their day and pay attention to their duties.
  31. Father, I dedicate and consecrate my business to You in the name of Jesus.

  1. Father, let all who owes my company pay back at the appropriate time in the name of Jesus.
  2. Father, I lift up those who are in debts to us to You, bless them so that they can pay us in the name of Jesus.
  3. Lord, increase the business of our debtors and make provision for them to meet their financial obligations.
  4. Lord, cause all our debtors with fraudulent intentions to pay back what they owe.
  5. Father, send the Holy Spirit to convict all fraudulent debtors that they might repent and make things right in the name of Jesus.
  6. Lord, bring in needed funds through increased sales or decreased expenses to meet all our financial obligations.
  7. I come against the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus.
  8. I come against the spirit of anxiety or worry concerning my business situation.

As you confess these words of God concerning prosperity, you will receive victory over poverty, debt and financial lack. Every wrong circumstance and every bad situation will be turned around. Every attack will be turned into victory. Be encouraged to confess it over and over again. Let the Word of God sink deep into your spirit. No matter how you feel, no matter what you see, no matter what you have experienced in the past, God’s Word always works. It never fails. Shout your prosperity confession right into the devil’s face. Make this confession a part of your daily life and expect God to work a miracle for every need you have. Jesus is Lord of this earth. The earth with all its fullness belongs to God. As a joint heir with Jesus, I claim the wealth of this earth, for it belongs to Jesus. I claim all that Jesus’ death made available for me to receive. In Jesus’ name, I command you devil to loose the wealth of this earth! Take your hands off now! I command every hindering force to stop! In Jesus’ name, I bind you and render you ineffective against me! In Jesus’ name, I command wealth to come to me now! Jesus is Lord of my life. Jesus is Lord of my finances. Jesus is Lord!

  1. I delight myself in the Word of the Lord, therefore, I am blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in my house and my righteousness endureth forever. (Psalm 112:1-3.)

  7. The Lord is my shepherd. (Psalm 23:1.)
  8. The Lord prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies, He anoints my head with oil, my cup runneth over. (Psalm 23:5.)
  9. The blessing of the Lord makes me rich and He adds no trouble to it. (Prov. 10:22.)
  10. I receive wealth from the Lord and the good health to enjoy it. (Eccl. 5:19.)
  11. I am blessed because I trust in the Lord. I reverence the Lord, therefore is no want in my life. The young lions do lack and suffer hunger: But I shall not want any good thing. (Psalm 34:8-10.)

Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints. 2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. 3 Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. 4 For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation. 5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.

6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; 7 To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; 8 To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; 9 To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. 2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. 3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. 4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. 5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. 6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

David‘s Psalm of praise

1 I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. 2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. 3 Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. 4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. 5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. 6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. 7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. 8 The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. 9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

1 LORD, I cry unto thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto thee. 2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. 3 Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. 4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

5 Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities. 6 When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet. 7 Our bones are scattered at the grave’s mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth. 8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O GOD the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute. 9 Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity. 10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

1 Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man; 2 Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war. 3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders’ poison is under their lips. Selah. 4 Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings. 5 The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah. 6 I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD. 7 O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

8 Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah. 9 As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them. 10 Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again. 11 Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him. 12 I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor. 13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

1 O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. 2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. 3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. 5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. 19 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. 20 For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. 21 Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? 22 I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
