Oh, What needless pain we bear all because we do not carry everything to God in prayers

Oh, what needless pain we bear all because we do not carry everything to God in prayers!

Let God help you

It was a cool evening just before the winter sets in. A small boy was kicking his rubber ball all over the place. His father sat nearby enjoying the cool breeze of the evening. Suddenly the ball fell on the roof of a house and got stuck there. The “clever” boy quickly got a long stick with which to dislodge his ball from the roof. However because of his little stature, whenever he was near the house, he could not see the top of the roof. When he moved back to a point where he could see the ball on the roof, he would be too far from the house!

After several futile efforts to reach his ball, the boy in desperation went to meet his Father. With tears in his eyes he appeared to the old man for help. The father looked at him rather sadly and said “Didn’t you see me here all the time? Why do you have to wait till you are tired and frustrated before coming to me for help?”

The boy did not say a word. The father got up and in a moment the ball was again in the boy’s eager hands “Thank you Daddy!” he said. “I hope you have learnt your lesson”, the father replied.

Many of us like the boy in this story, we are true sons and daughters of God, born-again, sanctified, holy living and tongue talking. Yet, we carry our burdens about apparently ignoring the fact that our Father in heaven is more than able to solve all problems. Ephesians 3:20 says “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us.”

Of course, we know that He is able but we feel we should try our best. After all we are “Strong” and “Wise” and “Experienced”. But, did not 1 Peter 5:7. Says, that we should cast ALL our cares upon Him because He cares for us? If we are to cast all our cares upon Him then why are we still carrying part of the burden ourselves?

Could it be pride or ignorance? Could it be that we really do not trust Him to do good job if we surrender all our plans to Him? But did not Psalm 37:5 encourage us to commit our way unto the Lord, trust Him and that He shall bring it to pass? What about the additional witness of Psalm 55:22 and Proverbs 16:3? “Cast thy burden upon the Lord and He shall sustain thee! He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved” and Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be blessed” Are not the Words of God forever settled?

What is it that worries you so much? Is it your health? Has the doctor said, there is no more hope for you? Is that the doctor’s report? Then what about the Lord’s report? Did He not say that He has no pleasure in the death even of a sinner? Did he not ask you, “Why should you die?”

Did he not say, “You shall not die but live and declare the glory of the Lord?” can the dead praise Him? Can those who go down to the grave magnify Him? Is it not the living that can sing praises unto Him? Isaiah 38:18-19. Did He not say that He chose you so that you can praise Him?

Are you barren? Is that your burden? Who made your womb? Is it not Jesus Christ? If anything is wrong with that womb, can He not amend it or replace it? Luke 1:37 says that with God nothing shall be impossible? Is God a liar? Is He not the one who said, “Be fruitful” and remember the case of Lazarus, that he was not only dead but rotten? Did not Jesus raise Him up? Has Jesus change? Did not Hebrew 13:8 says that He is the same yesterday and today and forever?

Is your business giving you some concern? Do you think He does not know about that too? Did not His word say that He wishes ABOVE ALL THINGS that you PROSPER and be in health even as your soul prosper 3 John 2? What do understand by “above all things? Does that not mean that it is the supreme Will of God Almighty that you should prosper? And if God wants you to prosper, how can your business fail? Unless, of course you do not make Him your partner or maybe He is your junior Partner!

Brethren, let God help you. Bring your problems to Jesus and hands off! That song writer said it well:

“What a friend we have in Jesus

All our sins and grieve to bear,

What a privilege to carry,

Everything to God in prayer,

Oh, what peace we often forfeit,

Oh, what needless pain we bear,

All because we do not carry,

Everything to God in prayers!

May God Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

The Lord is my Shepherd

The Lord is my ShepherdIn these changing times, many people are living from pay check to pay check.   And if the truth were known, at some point or another most of us have been   concerned about money. We imagine that men like Bill Gates do not have this   problem because he always has enough to cover the checks he writes.

We believe he has more than enough. On the other hand,   some people fall just short of enough. Many possess just enough, and others   will never have all they want or think they need. God, however, does not want   us to look at our earthly possessions and think, “Well, I don’t have enough   to make it, and I’m mad because that guy over there has much more.” Wealth is   never the issue with God. You can be the richest person in the world, but if   you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you are eternally poor—a pauper   in God’s sight.

True wealth comes when we learn to seek God for every need we have and   we live within the framework that He has given us. When we do this, we begin   to trust and rely only on Him. It also places us in a position for great   blessing because He will never leave us feeling hopeless or abandoned.   Instead, we gain a growing sense of His intimate care and love for us.
If you could chose earthly wealth and riches or God’s eternal love, which one   would you choose? Your answer reveals a lot about how much you value and   treasure the Lord.

In Psalm 23, David presents some wonderful news for each one of us. He   wants us to know that God has more than enough to provide for every need we   have. He owns everything and all that is His can be ours.

You may feel as though you do not have enough to make it through   another month or that your life is stamped “insufficient funds.” Here’s the   good news: God has more than enough. When you pray and express your needs, He   promises to meet those needs every time in amazing ways.

If the Lord is your shepherd, He will meet all of your needs every   time. Be patient. Seek His face in prayer and watch for His coming.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1).

May God Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and   defend us from all their enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

God leads me beside the quiet waters, He restores my soul. Hold onto Jesus

God leads me beside the quiet waters He restores my soul. Hold onto Jesus

When is the last time you felt frustrated, frightened, or fearful? Instead of releasing that thought, hang on to it for a moment. Did these feelings come as a result of the death of a loved one or the news of a grave illness? Perhaps, you received word that you were going to be laid off from your job. With no one at home to help, it feels as though you have reached a dead end. How will you take care of your family? Where will the money come from to pay the bills?

Many times, God allows us to face great difficulties – not to hurt us or make us feel as though we have been left without any hope – but in order to teach us to turn our faces to Him and cry out for help. Never forget that He is omniscient and knows all about our circumstances.

David wrote Psalm 23 as a standard of hope. It is a promise that you can claim whenever you sense despair coming your way. It also is a testimony to what God did for David and what He will do for you. When the problems of life heat up and your soul becomes dry and thirsty, God will refresh you by leading you beside His still waters.

David was never separated long from trouble. He spent years running from King Saul who turned out to be a mad man and was intent on David’s destruction. Sorrow, loss, separation from family members, and deep heartache were the building blocks of faith in David’s life. And in Acts 13:22, God calls him, ”a man after My heart.”

Are you a man or a woman who has a heart for God, or are you frantically chasing broken dreams and worldly desires? If your testimony is one of rushing and running, then it is time for you to stop and let go. Allow God to give you a cool drink of His eternal water. Then your heart will know peace.

“He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters”(Psalm 23:2).
May God Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all their enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

God Sent His Word, and Healed Them, and Delivered Them From Their Destructions

HE SENT HIS
WORD, AND HEALED THEM, AND DELIVERED THEM FROM THEIR DESTRUCTIONS

Psalm 107:20

Psalm 107
gives a graphic picture of those who are in trouble. It says “Fools because of their transgressions, and
because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their soul abhorred all manner of
food; and they draw near unto the gates of death” (
verse 17-18). Who are
these “fools?” it’s talking about those that reject knowledge of God’s Word.
They experience all kinds of trouble in their lives because of their ignorance
of the Word.

Then, the
Bible says they “cry unto the Lord in
their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses”
(verse 19). But
how exactly did the Lord save them? The Bible says, He sent HIS WORD, and healed them… “His answer
to their crying was to send His Word! This is the principle you need to
understand today. God’s answer to
whatever trouble anyone is facing is to send His Word!
It makes no
difference what the trouble is; whether it’s sickness, bankruptcy, marital
problems, or failure at school. Once you have God’s Word in that area, you have
the answer. God’s answer is to send His Word.

The Word of
God produces in your life whatever it talks about. If it’s a message of healing
and health, it will heal you if you receive it into your heart. If it’s a
message of prosperity and material wealth, it will produce the same in your
life. That’s why you cannot afford to miss church services or neglect your
times of Bible study, because the answer that you need is right there in the
Word. Every day, open your spirit and welcome the Word into your heart. As you
do this, it will produce that which you need in your life.

CONFESSION

I welcome the Word of God into my
heart today. It produces in my life everything that it talks about and
navigates my life in God’s Will for me. I love God’s Word and I yearn to
receive more and more of it every day, because it is God’s answer to all life’s
questions! In Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

Supernatural success

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

SUPERNATURAL SUCCESS

This book of the law
shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate therein day and
night, that thou may observe to do according to all that is written therein:
for then thou shall make thy way prosperous, and then thou shall have good
success (Joshua 1:8)

Supernatural success is total, all – round success in all
area of your life. It means that you are excellent in every single aspect of
your life. God doesn’t want you to experience success in some areas and failure
in other areas of your life. He desires that you become an all round success.

The recipe for supernatural
success which GOD gave to Joshua is to “meditate” on the Word of GOD day and
night. The Bible says,Meditate upon
these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to
all”
(1 Timothy 4:15). If you would meditate on the Word, everything that
you do will prosper: you will be a good businessman, a good father, a good
mother, a good wife, a good husband, and of course, a good Christian. There’s
no area of your life that will be lacking if you will do this. Meditation will
cause you to do the Word, and it’ll produce results in every area of your life
(Psalm 1:1-3).

You can have supernatural success;
just make up your mind today to meditate consciously on the Word. Every area of
your life will be balanced, and you will be a success all-round.

PRAYER

Dear LORD, thank You for teaching me the secret of supernatural
success. I declare that I am excelling in every area of my life by Your Grace
alone! I thank You for I know that as I meditate on Your Word, all that
concerns me is perfected in Christ Jesus. Amen!

Bow down Your ear, O Lord, hear me; for I am poor and need (Psalm 86:1)

BOW DOWN YOUR EAR, O LORD, HEAR ME; FOR I AM POOR AND NEEDY
(Psalm 86:1)

In one way or another, we can all relate to Psalm 86:1 where
David says, “I am poor and needy”. Even the richest among us should understand
that poverty and need relate more to the spirit than to the wallet. When
billionaire Rich DeVos speaks to groups he often says, “I’m just a sinner saved
by grace.”

Psalm 86 tells us that the help God provides is not measured
by a monetary ledger sheet. When we acknowledge that we are poor and needy,
it’s not so God will lavish material riches on us. No! We do so to open the
door to other, more valuable treasures.

Here’s what God does for the poor and needy. He will
“preserve” our lives and “save” all those who trust in Him (v.2). He will be
“merciful” and “ready to forgive” (vv.3, 5). He will listen to and answer our
prayers (vv.6, 7).

But we’re not to take God’s blessings without giving back.
We have a responsibility to learn God’s ways, walk in His truth, “fear [God’s]
name,” praise the Lord, and “glorify [His] name” (vv.11-12).

Do you consider
yourself among the “poor and needy?” if so, welcome to the club. Let’s not
forget all the spiritual blessings. God has for us and the godly response we
should have towards His generosity – Dave Branon

We’re thankful for the blessings, Lord,

You give us day by day;

Now help us show our gratitude

By walking in your way, O Lord! Amen! – sper

The poorest man is he
whose only wealth is money

Jesus Loves You And He Understands Your Pains And Sorrows! The Lord Is Gracious And Full Of Compassion. Psalm 145:8

Jesus loves you and He understands your pains and sorrows!

The Lord Is Gracious And Full Of Compassion. Psalm 145:8

I have a friend who was working in his home office one evening, trying to get some necessary paperwork done. His little girl, who was about 4 years old at the time, was playing around his desk, puttering about, moving objects here and there, pulling out drawers, and making a good deal of noise.

My friend endured the distraction with stoic patience until the child slammed a drawer on one of her fingers and screamed in pain. Reacting in exasperation he shouted, “That’s it!” as he escorted her out of the room and shut the door.

Later, her mother found her weeping in her bedroom and tried to comfort her. “Does your finger still hurt?” she asked. “No,” the little girl sniffled. “Then why are you crying?” her mother asked. “Cause,” she whimpered, “When I pinched my finger, Papa didn’t say, “Sorry!’”

Sometimes that’s all we need, isn’t it? Someone who cares and who will respond with kindness and compassion, someone who will say, “Sorry!” or “I love you!” We have One name Jesus who does that for us.

Jesus loves us, understands our pains and sorrows, and gave Himself for us (Eph. 5:2). Now we are to “Walk in love” and imitate Him. –David Roper

The Secret Things Belongs To The Lord Our God

WHY ME!

The secret things belong to the Lord Our God (Deuteronomy 29:29)

Recently I read Psalm 131, one of my favorite Psalms. In the past, I viewd it as an encouragement to understand that mystery is one of the hallmarks of God’s character. It challenged me to let my mind be at rest, since I am unable to understand all that God is doing in His universe.

But then I saw another side of David’s calm spirit: I am unable to understand all that God is doing in me, and it is impossible to try .

David draw a comparison between a weaned child that no longer fret for what it once demanded, and a soul that has learned the same lesson. It is a call to learn humility, patient, endurance, and contentment in all my circumstances-whatever they are-though I do not understand God’s reasons. Divine logic is beyond the grasp of my mind.

I ask, “Why this affliction? Why this anguish?” The Father answers, “Hush, child. You wouldn’t understand if I explained it to you. Just trust me!”

So, I turn from contemplating David’s example to ask myself: Can I, in my circumstances, “hope in The Lord?” (vs 3). Can I wait in faith and patience without fretting and without questioning God’s wisdom? Can I trust Him while He works in me His good, acceptable, and perfect Will? –David Roper

It may not be for me to see

The meaning and the mystery

Of all that God has planned for me

Till “afterward!”

In a world of mystery, it’s a comfort to know The God Who knows all things!

May God Almighty Our Heavenly Father
prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend them from all their enemies in Jesus

Hero worship! I wil praise You, For I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)

HEROES WORSHIP! I WILL PRAISE YOU, FOR I AM FEARFULLY AND
WONDERFULLY MADE (PSALM 139:14)

When I was a kid, I had a hero: Peter Maravich, a
high-scoring basketball player who handled the ball like a magician.

Problem was, my desire to be like Pistol Pete blocked my
satisfaction with who God made me to be. When I realized I could never play
like Pete, I grew discouraged. I even quit my college team briefly because I
couldn’t measure up to the Maravich standard.

Kids still do that kind of things. They grow unhappy with
who God made them to be because they measure themselves by their “perfect”
heroes.

Christian singer Jonny Diaz recognized this and wrote a song
called “More Beautiful You.” The song begins: “Little girl fourteen flipping
through a magazine; says she wants to look that way.” Some young girls wish
they could be like Disney star Selena Gomez or another star the way I wanted to
be like Maravich. Diaz sings, “There could never be a more beautiful you; don’t
buy the lies……; you were made to fill a purpose that only you could do.” Diaz
is saying what another songwriter said under the inspiration of God thousands
of years ago: “[We are] fearfully and wonderfully made”. (Ps. 139:14).

God made us the way He wants us to be. Believe it! There
could never be a more beautiful you- Dave Branon

The Word Of God Is Our Light. The Bible.

Jesus

Jesus (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and
a light unto my path (Psalm 119:105).

Life is
filled with choices that can either make or mar you. At different stages of
life, you’re presented with different choices and to make such decision without
errors, you need proper guidance which only God’s Word can provide.

In John 1:9,
the Bible says the Word of God is the true Light. It’s the Sword of the Spirit
with which you pierce your way through the darkness of life. If the true Light
dwells richly in you, fear, defeat, failure, and all other results of darkness
won’t have any place in you. You won’t fear because the true Light will show
you that God has not given you the spirit of fear. You won’t be defeated
because you’ll see that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the
world. You won’t be sick because you’ll discover that by His stripes, you were
healed. The Word of God will reveal to you what God sees you to be.

It’s your
responsibility to invest the Word of God in yourself by studying it regularly.
If you can inundate your mind with it and store it in your spirit, the Word of
God will produce great results in you and you will glow with the glory of God.
You’ll have a clear direction in life and others will acknowledge that you’re
different.

Do you now
see how victoriously you can live if you keep the Word of God in your heart? If
there’s any darkness in your family, academics, or business, just take a hold
of the Light of God’s Word and pierce through the darkness in the Name of
Jesus!

You Are Established To Shine In Zion.

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber to be an example of a charismatic religious leader. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

THEY THAT TRUST IN THE
LORD SHALL BE AS MOUNT ZION, WHICH CANNOT BE REMOVED, BUT ABIDETH FOREVER
(PSALM 125:1).

As a child
of God, you dwell in Zion. That’s the city of your habitation, and you’ve been
planted there to shine. In Psalm 1:3, the Bible talks about the man whose
delight is in the Word and meditates on it day and night: “…….he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that
bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and
whatsoever he doeth shall prosper”.

This verse
of Scripture is talking about the saints; that’s you. You’re like the tree
planted by the rivers of water; you’re bringing forth your fruit in season, and
your leaves shall not wither. Anything you do; whatever you’re connected with,
shall prosper. What a blessing this is! That’s another way of letting you know
that you’ve been established to shine in Zion. You’ve been ordained to prosper,
experience divine health, succeed and excel in every area of your life.
Hallelujah!

But this is
not so for the ungodly (non – Christians) – they are like the chaff blown away
by the wind; therefore, are unable to stand in the judgment and their ways end
in destruction (Psalm 1:4-6). The judgment the psalmist is talking about here
is not the great judgment of the bye–and–bye; he’s referring to the winds of
opposition. In other words, when contrary winds blow, the ungodly will not
stand.

You are like
Mount Zion and have been established on the Rock, Christ Jesus. He is the Rock
of your salvation as well as your success, prosperity and divine health.
Therefore, you’ll forever remain unshakable in the face of adversities and oppositions,
for you’ve been plucked out of the miry clay of fear, defeat and death, and
established to experience eternal glory, victory, peace and prosperity. You’ve
been established to be fruitful and productive, and shine all the days of your
life.

PRAYER

DEAR FATHER IN HEAVEN,
I’M SO GRATEFUL TO YOU FOR ESTABLISHING ME IN THE PATH OF PROSPERITY, SUCCESS,
HEALTH, PEACE AND JOY. AS I DELIGHT MYSELF IN YOU, I ASK THAT YOU CAUSE MY LIFE
TO BLOSSOM IN AN EVER INCREASING MEASURE AS I MAKE YOUR WORD MY STAY AND

Fear not!

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

Though a host should
encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war should rise against me,
in this will I be confident (Psalm 27:3)

Fear is one
of the most important tools of the adversary, the devil. The moment you yield
your heart to it, it’ll create the perfect environment for him to plunder your
life. Fear is a tormenting and domineering spirit; its intent is to take over
your life. You mustn’t yield to it or give it room in your heart.

Jairus was
on his way to his house with the Lord Jesus when he heard that his daughter was
dead. Jesus had to quickly rebuke the spirit of fear to stop it from dominating
his heart (Luke 8:49-50).

In Psalm
46:1-2, the psalmist expressed his confidence and boldness to confront
terrifying situations fearlessly. The reason was that he had spent a lot of
time studying and meditating on God’s law. You see, the information you allow
into your mind will determine the condition of your heart. For this reason, we
are admonished by the spirit of God in Proverb 4:23 to keep and guard our
hearts with all vigilance and above all that we guard, “…….for out of it flow the springs of life” (AMP).

God has
given us a powerful weapon to cast out fear. That weapon is His Word. The Bible
says, “For the Word of God is quick, and
powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword….”
(Hebrews 4:12). The Word
is all you need to get rid of fear in your life. Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and
hearing by the Word of God.”
As you receive it into your spirit, you’re
emboldened and empowered to face and win everyday’s challenges.

When you
fill your heart with God’s Word, you’ll no longer be fearful or succumbs to
satan’s manoeuvres.

CONFESSION

I am growing in the knowledge of God’s
Word and God’s perfect love. God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of
power, love, and a sound mind. Therefore, I refuse to fear and yield to its
tormenting power for fear has no place in my life, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

This Scripture is your recipe for success. The Amplified version says: “This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe (and ) do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely (and ) have good success.” Notice it didn’t say “God shall make your way prosperous,” but that “YOU shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely in the affairs of life and have good success.” But for this to happen, you must meditate on the Word.
This is what many haven’t learnt; the importance and power of meditation. The subject of your meditation should be consistent with the provisions of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Meditating on anything else that’s not consistent with the Gospel will not produce lasting results.
Meditating on God’s Word often, will make you deal wisely in the affairs of life. You’ll become circumspect and penetratingly perceptive; you’ll have extraordinary amplitude of comprehension. The wisdom of God will function in you so much that when you make decisions or take actions on anything, it will be just right. Learn to consciously meditate on the Scriptures. In Psalm 119:97, David said, “O how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day.” No wonder he was so successful and dealt wisely as king over Israel.
As you think through, talk and shout God’s Word in meditation, you’re programming yourself for the upward and forward life, and your success will be apparent to all.
“This book of law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8)
CONFESSION
GOD’s Word is in my mouth and in my heart today, working in me and producing results in every area of my life. The Word of God has made me wise unto salvation, and the forces of success, prosperity and divine health are let loose in my life, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!
