Tell Someone About Jesus.

Matthew_1-21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins

Text:
2 Kings 7:8-11
8 The men who had leprosy reached the edge of the camp, entered one of the tents and ate and drank. Then they took silver, gold and clothes, and went off and hid them. They returned and entered another tent and took some things from it and hid them also.

9 Then they said to each other, “What we’re doing is not right. This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves. If we wait until daylight, punishment will overtake us. Let’s go at once and report this to the royal palace.”

10 So they went and called out to the city gatekeepers and told them, “We went into the Aramean camp and no one was there—not a sound of anyone—only tethered horses and donkeys, and the tents left just as they were.”

Mark 5:18-20
18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him.

19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.”

20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.

Introduction:
Every Christian has been endowed with the grace to win souls. We must not allow the unsaved souls to go to hell without knowing who Jesus is and how it is their duties to allow Jesus in their hearts as their Lord and Saviour. Just as you are told about Jesus and you came to Him, you must tell someone about Jesus today?

Why Must I Tell Someone About Jesus?
1. It is a commandment from God.
Matthew 28:18-19
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

2. It is a curse not to preach Jesus.
1 Corinthian 9:16
For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

3. God does not want any sinner to perish.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

4. The worth of a single soul is more than any riches in the world.
Mark 8:35-37
35 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? 37 Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

5. A soul winner is a wise person.
Proverbs 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

6. Your effort in winning souls will be rewarded.
Daniel 12:3
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

Conclusion:
You must make a conscious effort to go out and tell someone about Jesus so that you will be God’s favorite here on Earth and in Heaven.

Psalm 100:4
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise…” The Psalmist presented scenery of God on His Royal Throne; seated majestically in the splendour of His Palace just as our earthly kings do in their royal palaces-fenced round and secured with royal gates and further provided with inner courts in which they sit on their thrones.

 
Our God is a Spirit, we cannot see Him but He sees us and knows us by our names. He searches our hearts even before we approach His gates. When approaching His presence rejoice and be full of thanksgiving. The Bible says in the presence of God there is fullness of Joy (Psalm 16:11). It is an act of ingratitude whenever we enter His presence without thanking Him for the numerous things He has done for us. What is that situation that would make you approach His presence with grudges?

Ten Reasons Why We Should Thank God.
1. For Giving Us Life. “He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things.”

2. For The Salvation Of Our Souls.

3. For His Grace and love for His children.

4. Praise Him for His goodness.

5. Praise Him for His marvellous Light that darkness will never comprehend.

7. God inhabits the praises of His people.

8. You want God in your midst, and then praise Him in holiness.

Conclusion:
The Bible commands us to give thanks unto the Lord at all times (1 Thessalonian 5:18). There are so many unseen battles that our God constantly fights and delivers victory into our hands without our knowledge, so we need to form an attitude of gratitude to thank Him all times and in all circumstances.

Proverbs_11-30: The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise

Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

John 15:16
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

INTRODUCTION:
The cardinal purpose of believers is to evangelize and win souls for Christ and to further ensure that these souls abide. John 15:16. Every believer should “Go Ye into the world and preach the gospel and bring them into the saving grace of Jesus Christ.”

Matthew 28:19-20.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Reconciling Souls back to God was the main mission of Christ when He came to the world and as such a wise disciple has no major assignment than to win souls into the Kingdom of God.

Why Winning Souls Is Wise?

 
1. According to John 15:16, if you win souls and make them abide; then you have a blank cheque from God to ask anything and it shall be done.

2. It Increases The Number Of Worshippers And God Seeks True Worshippers.

John 4:23
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

3. There Is Growth In The House Fellowship Centre And The Church At Large.

4. It helps to spread the gospel fire.

5. The Lord of harvest is happy.

6. Jesus Commanded Us To Bear Fruit Else He Will Take Us Away.

John 15:2
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Conclusion:

God has saved you to win souls, be wise and do as Jesus did, reconciling souls back to God. (John 15:16).

Names Are Very Important, So Answer The Right Name.

Isaiah_9-6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
1 Peter 2:25

Some parents name their children on the basis of certain experiences they might have had before or during the conception of that child. The Bible tells us of Jacob who at birth held on the heel of his twin brother, Esau, who actually came out first from the womb. When his father saw this, he named him “Jacob”, meaning “deceiver or schemer.” The name stuck and the young lad grew up to be a deceiver. He cheated his brother and got the right of the firstborn. He however couldn’t walk in the fullness of the blessing because God doesn’t walk with deceivers. God had to first change his name before he could enjoy the fullness of the blessing.

God also names us with certain factors or considerations, nonetheless upon blessed experiences. If you’re born again, He names you, not by the suffering experience of Christ on the cross, but by His victory over death, sin and the grave. By virtue of your new birth in Christ Jesus, God has given you a new name. it doesn’t matter what your past was like; you’re not a failure, neither are you disadvantaged anymore. Now, you’re a success, a victor, and more than a conqueror.

Name are very important because your life is programmed to become whatever you’re called. So, name the right name. you have a new name in Christ. We’re a new creation, and the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; a choose generation; a royal priesthood; a holy nation, a peculiar people; called to show forth the praises of Him who hath called us out of darkness into His marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9). You’re not “the poor” trying to be rich, you’re “the rich” discovering his inheritance. You’re not “the sick or the weak”; you’re “the strong.”

These are your new names that you must answer.

Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father! I thank You for You’ve given me a name that uplifts. I refuse to be known by the negative ways the world may try to describe me. I see myself only in Your Word and call myself by the glorious name You’ve given me, in Jesus Christ name! Amen!

The Perfect Son Of God.

Isaiah_9-6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Matthew_1-21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins

1 Peter 2:21-22

The Bible tells us Jesus was tempted in all points as we are, yet He was without sin (Hebrews 4:15). Some people hear this and wonder why He had to be tempted in the first place, since He was “the Perfect Son of God.” Well, Jesus wouldn’t have been tempted if it wasn’t possible for Him to fall into temptation, for the temptation wouldn’t be a bona-fide one. He was tempted because it was possible for Him to yield to temptation.

Although Jesus was the Son of God, He didn’t live on earth with heavenly glory; He lived as a man. That’s why the Bible described Him as “the man Christ Jesus.” (1 Timothy 2:5). Remember that when He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane, He said, “O God, let this cup pass from me, nevertheless not my will but thy will be done.” (Mark 14:36). He felt pain and got tired and hungry like every other person, and the Bible says “He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” (Philippians 2:8).

Jesus fasted like we do today to keep the flesh under because He wanted to obey God. He needed to be anointed by God to do the impossible (Acts 10:38), and prayed often. He spent time to study the word and developed the custom of regularly going to the synagogue. Even as the Son of God, He needed to do these things to show us how we should live.

As Christians, we can and should also live as He did – living in the miraculous everyday as the champions God has made us. If we follow His example, and practise His Word we’ll certainly have the same results He had when He was on earth. We actually don’t have any excuse! Jesus did everything He did for our sakes, so we would know what kind of life He’s called us to live. He’s our worthy example.

Dear Heavenly Father! I thank You because I have the mind of Christ Jesus, who being Himself God, nevertheless came in the likeness of men. I manifest the humility of Christ and His love-nature today to everyone in my world through the power of Your Spirit that dwells with me, in Jesus Christ name! Amen!
