Our Lord’s Doctrine.

Matthew_6-33: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 6:27-34.

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Matthew 6:33

Acts 6:1-16

Job. 15-17.

The meaning of doctrine is the account and content of any teaching. There are many kinds of doctrines. We have the doctrine of devils (1Tim 4:1). There are diverse and strange doctrines (Heb 13:9) “Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. Jesus forewarned that His doctrine might be polluted or lost completely by the time He came back (Luke 18:8).

The original doctrine of Christ can be found in Matt 7:28 & 29 “When Jesus had finished saying these things the crowds were amazed at His teaching because He taught as one who had authority and not as their teachers of the law.” Jesus declared His doctrine to be divine and not man-made. “Jesus answered “My teaching is not my own. It comes from Him who sent me (God the Father). If anyone chooses to do God’s will he will find out whether My teaching comes from God or whether I speak of My own (John 7:16 &17)

In order to preserve this divine doctrine, God has appointed Apostles, Prophets, Teachers, Workers of miracles, those who have gifts of Healing And Helpers with gifts of administration and those speaking in tongues (1 Cor. 12:28).

The original doctrine of Christ is summarized as seeking the Kingdom of God first and His righteousness. Our Lord often warned His disciples of false doctrine as “Leaven of Pharisees“. We need to take care and be more watchful today than they of those days.

PRAYER:
Almighty God, I pray Thee to renew Your divine doctrine in our hearts for our salvation, peace, righteousness and holiness for Christ’s sake.

Come And See The Lord For Yourself.

Psalms_34-8: O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

John 1:43-51.

“Nazareth!” exclaimed Nathanael. “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” “Come and see for yourself,” Philip replied.
John 1:46

Acts 5

Job 13-14.

Philip found that Jesus Christ was too sweet to keep to himself and therefore looked for Nathaniel. Jesus was like any other man living in Palestine. It was what Philip and others had discovered about Him that made Him different. Nathaniel thought the Messiah should come from an important town like Jerusalem, the capital, Bethlehem (the City of David), or even from Israel or from his own town, Canaan. Philip’s response to Nathaniel’s skepticism was ‘COME AND SEE’ come and meet Him yourself first before you decide otherwise.

It took only two statements by Jesus to turn Nathaniel from a skeptic into a believer. These statements show Jesus as the all-knowing (omniscient) and all-seeing (an aspect of omnipresence). “Here is a true Israelite in whom there is nothing false” and I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you (John 1:48b).

Nathaniel became a believer because of Jesus’ ability to know what is in people’ hearts and minds and see into hidden places. But Jesus tells him that his belief needs more content. Jesus is also the link between heaven and earth. His title ‘SON OF MAN’ focuses on His mission here on earth, His humble identification with humanity and His reign as King.

Nathaniel then made one of the key declarations about Jesus in the gospel of John. He said “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel” (John 1:49). Nathaniel was humble enough to admit that his former stand was wrong and did not hesitate to worship Jesus. Sadly, some people have totally rejected the gospel of Christ because they want to appear to be tough people. Unfortunately, their toughness is also their foolishness. The evidence is too strong for anyone who is wise to ignore. What about you? Be wise.

PRAYER:
God Eternal, remove my pride and the foolishness of not totally accepting You. Give me Your wisdom and understanding to accept You as my Lord and Saviour in Christ’s name. Amen.

The Truth About Rapture.

2-Peter_3-10: But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

1. It is going to be the next greatest event that will shock all the continents of the world. Matt 24:40-42.

2. It is going to take place suddenly, abruptly, unexpectedly, without warning and without prior notice. 1 Thess 5:2

3. There shall be no second version of the event. 1 Thess 5:4

4. A greater percentage of the world will be taken unawares. Matt 24:38-39

5. Careless Christians who miss the event will have no other similar gracious opportunity. Matt 13:49-50

6. The event shall have no regard or respect for ecclesiastical titles or church leadership positions. Matt 5:20

7. It shall be a day when the sheep shall be separated from the goats. Matt 25:32-33.

8. The day shall differentiate between the Broad Way Christians and the Narrow Way Christians. Matt 7:13-14

9. The day shall separate sincerity from hypocrisy. Gal 5:21

10. The day shall differentiate between those who harbour secret sins from those who abhor secret sins. Gal 5:20-21

11. The day shall separate those whose lives are hidden in Christ from those who are hiding in the church. Luke 13:27

12. The day shall show a glaring, clear, conspicuous, demarcation between Christians who walk on the path of holiness from those who walk on the path of worldliness. Heb 12:14

13. It shall be a day of double emotion: joy for some and unimaginable, indescribable, uncontrollable regrets for others. Luke 13:28

14. It shall be a day of surprises- some “Big names” may miss the flight while some “Less known” may be on board. 1 Cor 1:27

15. Another surprise may be that a man or woman who had faithfully served the Lord for many years may defile his or her garment a few minutes before the sound of that summoning trumpet and miss the flight while a notorious sinner may surrender his or her life to Jesus within the same time frame and go to heaven. Ezekiel 3:20

16. This event may happen now, today, this week, this month, this year or next year! Matt 24:36

17. Wise Christians, like the five virgins that took extra oil, are expected to get ready, yes, to get prepared. Matt 25:1-13

18. After the event, all those who are bitter against one another, malicious, unforgiving, jealous, arrogant, haters, hypocrites, drunkards, fornicators, adulterers, adulteresses, murderers with weapons and murderers with tongue etc, shall have enough time to continue in their trade. Heb 12:14-15.

19. When the event is over there shall be revival among those who have chosen to stay behind not because there will be a second chance, no, but because the reality of the event would have struck them like a thunderbolt. But they will have to pay with their own blood. Revelation 20:4

God Will Avenge For You.

Jeremiah_32-17-2: Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

The Parable of the Widow and the Judge.
Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to teach them that they should always pray and never become discouraged.
2 “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected people. 3 And there was a widow in that same town who kept coming to him and pleading for her rights, saying, ‘Help me against my opponent!’
4 For a long time the judge refused to act, but at last he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or respect people,
5 yet because of all the trouble this widow is giving me, I will see to it that she gets her rights. If I don’t, she will keep on coming and finally wear me out!’”
6 And the Lord continued, “Listen to what that corrupt judge said.
7 Now, will God not judge in favor of his own people who cry to him day and night for help? Will he be slow to help them?
8 I tell you, he will judge in their favor and do it quickly. But will the Son of Man find faith on earth when he comes?”
LUKE 18:1-8

MEMORY VERSE:
“And will not God bring about justice for His own elect who cry day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?”
LUKE 18:7

Deut. 32:35 states: “It is mine to avenge, I will repay, in due time, their footsteps; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them.”

Beloved, what this simply means is that in any area of your life that you are being persecuted, do your best to present it to God who will fight your cause.

Jesus’ lesson is that if an unrighteous and unconcerned judge would act upon the persistent request of a pleading widow, then certainly the pleas of the righteous to a concerned God would bring justice to those who persecute His children. (Heb. 10:37; 2 Peter 3:8-9; Rev. 6:10).

Therefore, Christians must believe that God will readily answer their prayers. However, in case of any delay, they must ask until their joy is full. Jesus also encourages Christians to continually pray for deliverance throughout their time of persecution. God will bring down judgment on those who persecute His children.

Romans 12:19, states: “Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: it is mine to avenge; I will repay; says the Lord.”

Note that God’s heart is to forgive. When we seek forgiveness with a repentant heart, He grants it. However, God asks us to forgive others their sins. His love in us gives us the ability to pardon others and have compassion on them.

The enemy means to destroy you and your future, but God’s redemptive power is released if you allow Him to fight the battle for you. With God’s help, you can suppress the boiling anger in you and forgive the unforgivable.

PRAYER:
Dear Lord, grant me Your divine protection against my enemy and give me victory on all sides in Jesus’ name. Amen.

13 Whenever I hold back the rain or send locusts to eat up the crops or send an epidemic on my people,
14 if they pray to me and repent and turn away from the evil they have been doing, then I will hear them in heaven, forgive their sins, and make their land prosperous again.
15 I will watch over this Temple and be ready to hear all the prayers that are offered here

God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.

The Lord’s Answer

xii) Father, in Your Miraculous Way send Your Grains and Oil to Nigeria this year, please terminate famine and hardship over this nation, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xiii) Father, please settle Nigeria from tribal and religious battles, fight for us to give us resounding victory, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xiv) Father, please make Nigeria Your Place of Abode, where peace shall reign again forever, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xv) Father, please let our open pastures spring forth and let our trees bear fruits continually all through the year and beyond, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xvi) Father, please send us Your Rain at its season continuously this year and make our land abundantly fruitful to Your Glory alone, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xvii) Father, please release the former rains faithfully and withhold not Your Current Rains in order to terminate dryness and poverty in our land, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xviii) Father, please refill our empty storehouses with the variety of Your Blessings, fill us to the overflow, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xix) Father, You are the Lord God of Restoration, please restore all our lost peace, fortunes, blessings and opportunities, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xx) Father, please let there be no more famine in our land, feed us to our satisfaction like of old, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xxi) Father, please deal wondrously with us and never allow us as a nation to be put to shame any longer, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xxii) Father, You have made Nigeria abundantly rich in both human and material resources and yet things are not working well in our favour because of our multitude of sins and religious bigotry, please come to our rescue and let us live in peace to enjoy the good things You have graciously blessed this nation with, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xxiii) Father, fill us with Your Holy Spirit, rescue and safe us from calamity, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xxiv) Father, please turn our hearts to You to love what You love and hate whatever You hate so that Your Peace can reign over Nigeria, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xxv) Father, please deal ruthlessly with all the enemies of Nigeria wherever they are, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xxvi) Father, please trouble all the troublers of Nigeria both within and without, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xxvii) Father, please let Nigeria experience Your Divine Touch, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xxviii) Father, the hatred in this country has gotten to the very climax, please in mercy let Your Season of Peace and Comfort start today, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xxix) Father, please terminate every form of barrenness in our land, confirm and manifest Your Covenant of Fruitfulness and Peace, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

xxx) Father, please arise to prove Your Almightiness, contend with every enemy of Your Son Jesus over this nation, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

There is the need to intercede for this nation because of the so many battles she has been facing of recent. But we Christians have not been praying for this country as we should.
It is therefore good to focus our prayer more on Nigeria today because it is our Jerusalem. Our weapons are definitely not canal, we should battle right from the spiritual because this our year of resounding victory. The warfare is raging and we must not be ignorant of the devices of anti Christ.
Don’t fold your hands and never feel unconcerned. In your own little way call upon Him and He will answer us and speedily too in Jesus’ Name.
He will restore Nigeria a blessed nation above all other nations again as He meant it to be and make her a nation of first choice in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
We shall surely overcome and triumph in Jesus’ Name.

Devote yourselves to prayer.

Matthew_21-22: And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

‘Devote yourselves to prayer.’
Colossians 4:2 NLT.

Ever been praying for something or someone for a long time, and nothing seems to be happening? It’s tempting to give up. We become discouraged, fed up of praying for the same thing over and over again. We begin to doubt whether God’s going to answer us, and maybe if He’s listening to us at all. But the Bible says: ‘Devote yourselves to prayer.’ And devotion requires passion and persistence. We need to keep praying, keep asking and keep expecting an answer. Jesus told His disciples the story of the persistent widow to ‘show them that they should always pray and not give up’ (Luke 18:1 NIV). When this widow was asking the judge for justice against her enemy, she kept asking. She didn’t ask once and then give up. She ‘kept coming to him with the plea’ (Luke 18:3 NIV). The unjust judge eventually listened and gave her the justice she was looking for. And God is just. He doesn’t act unjustly, He doesn’t withhold things from us when we need them. He cares and He provides. We can keep coming to Him. It’s good to persistently and passionately pray for something. But if we’re not hearing anything, maybe we need to think about whether we’re praying for the right thing. What are our motives behind our prayer? Is it what God wants too? Sometimes we can get so caught up in requesting what we need and what will improve our lives, that we forget that there are so many people that need our prayers. And God tells us to ‘always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people’ (Ephesians 6:18 NIV). So let’s be persistent in our prayers, not only for ourselves but for others too.

I erase my children’s name from every evil list. I pray against any form of delay in the lives of my children. My seeds will make it on time. Every single seed of mine are for trophy of Grace. Lord give them unexplainable blessings.
Lord I will not bury any of my Children. Lord I secure my seeds in Your arms.
In critical moments, God will send help to my children.
Where we cannot defend and stand for ourselves, God! Defend us oh Lord, Vindicate my children. My children shall not be an embarrassment to me.

My children’s prosperity will be obvious.
