Potter’s hand

Potter’s hand

Isaiah_64-8: But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand

Isaiah_64-8: But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand

Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor?

Romans 9:21, NKJV

Jesus makes suffering understandable; as the Potter, He uses suffering as the pressure on the wet “clay” of our lives. Under His gentle, loving touch, our lives are molded into a “shape” that pleases Him. But the shape that is so skillfully wrought is not enough. He not only desires our lives to be useful, but He also wants our character to be radiant. And so He places us in the furnace of challenges until our “colors” are revealed – colors that reflect the beauty of His own character.

Without the preparation of the loving, skillful touch of the Potter’s hand, any usefulness or beauty the clay might have would be destroyed by the pressure and the heat. But Jesus makes suffering understandable to this blob of clay. In the midst of the pressure and the heat, I am confident His hand is on my life, developing my faith until I display His glory, transforming me into a vessel of honor that pleases Him! I don’t trust any other potter with my life.

Would you submit to the touch of the Potter’s hand?

Blessings,

In the race of life

In the race of life

You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 8:32, NKJV

Winning a relay race depends not only on the speed of the runners but also on their skillful ability to transfer the baton. If the baton is dropped, precious seconds are wasted, and the race may be lost. If the runner fails to pass the baton, he is disqualified from the race altogether.

In the race of life, the “baton” is the truth that leads to personal faith in God. Each generation receives the “baton” from the previous generation, runs the race to the best of its ability, then passes the “baton” smoothly and securely to the next generation.

Every day we see advances in our civilization bringing better health care, longer life spans, and ever-expanding knowledge. But underneath all the progress and sophistication, our civilization is experiencing a bankruptcy of moral and spiritual values that threatens to erode our very existence. In the midst of wickedness and waste, we must strive to relay the baton of truth that leads to personal faith in God that has been handed down to generation after generation since Creation.

Key To Faith That Works

Key To Faith That Works

Matthew_17-20: And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you

Matthew_17-20: And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you

“If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move.”

Matthew 17:20, NKJV

Are you discouraged because you have not received “anything from the Lord” as it relates to your prayer life? When Jesus’ disciples were discouraged by their inability to get answers to prayer and so were ineffective in helping others, He encouraged them by pointing out that even faith the size of a mustard seed could move mountains. The key to faith that works is the foundation on which it is placed.

Base your faith in prayer on God’s Word. Ask Him to give you a promise that applies specifically to your situation. Then claim it persistently in prayer until God keeps His Word.

Do you think God’s silence in your life means He has forgotten you?

Do you think God’s silence in your life means He has forgotten you?

Hebrews_6-10: For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister, God Cares

Hebrews_6-10: For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister, God Cares

I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands.

Isaiah 49:15-16, NKJV

Noah was totally helpless to change his situation. There was nothing he could do except to stay on the ark and tend to the needs of his family and those of the animals until God in some way brought deliverance. He had to keep his faith in God while simply waiting out the silence that followed the storm.

Although He had been silent, God had not forgotten Noah. In fact, since Noah and his family were the only living persons on the face of the earth, we can be sure they had God’s total, undivided attention every moment.

Do you think God’s silence in your life means He has forgotten you? Oh, no! God says He has engraved your name on the palms of His hands. He says that a mother could forget her nursing baby at mealtime before He could forget you! You are in God’s heart and on His mind every moment. He is fully informed of your circumstances and will bring about change when He knows the time is right.

Amen!

Where Will You Spend Eternity? Are You Afraid Of Dying? Fear Of Death

Where Will You Spend Eternity? Are You Afraid Of Dying? Fear Of Death

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. —John 3:16

That where I am, there you may be also. —John 14:3

“I don’t think I would be afraid to die if I knew what to expect after death,” said a young man with an incurable disease. Evidently he had not heard of what God “has prepared for those who love Him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).

This young man had within him the fear of death. By nature, we fear the unknown. But the Bible says that the grave is not the end for anyone but rather the beginning of eternity:

Transgressors and sinners …
Who forsake the Lord shall be consumed …
Both will burn together,
And no one shall quench them (Isaiah 1:28, 31)

This is not God’s will but a consequence of human choice.

The child of God has no need to fear death. Why? God has not left us with the spirit of hopelessness, for He is “the God of hope” (Romans 15:13). Death, for the Christian, is overcome by the reality of hope—HEAVEN.

We see this assurance in John, the great “Where I am” book of the Bible. Jesus had told His disciples He was going away; He was preparing them for His death. But they could not fathom what He was telling them. They had walked with Him and fellowshipped together. He was their Teacher and Friend; they were His students and His companions.

Peter said to Him, “Lord, where are You going?”

Jesus answered him, “Where I am going you cannot follow Me now” (John 13:36).

Then Jesus spoke some of the most treasured words in Scripture:

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you … I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know” (John 14:1-4).

This was a revelation to the disciples. It was as if Jesus had said to them, “We have no lasting home on earth, but My Father’s house is a home where we will be together forever.”

This is a picture painted with words—for He is the Word. A heavenly home is described in the Greek as a “mansion.” It doesn’t mean an imposing house but rather a permanent dwelling—an eternal abode. Jesus told this little band of men the way to reach this wonderful place: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).

As humans we place a great deal of value on our homes. Amid all the changes that will come, when we no longer have an earthly home, we have a promise—we will be with Him forever.

Heaven seems a mystery to many people. They wonder if Heaven is above the lofty clouds, or if Heaven will come down to earth. When I am asked, “Where is Heaven?” I simply answer: Heaven is where Jesus is. He told His disciples, “I go to prepare a place for you … that where I am, there you may be also!” So when my earthly life has ended and you wonder where I’ve gone, this will be the answer: I will be with Jesus—that’s where I am.

As humans we place a great deal of value on our homes. Amid all the changes that will come, when we no longer have an earthly home, we have a promise—we will be with Him forever.

What about you? Do you know where you will be when you step into eternity? The ultimate destination is not found in a slick vacation package. The ultimate destination is HEAVEN—found in Jesus Christ. Nothing can transcend this wonderful place. Jesus said, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him” (John 14:23).

Nicodemus was a Pharisee who had heard of Jesus and was interested in what He had to say, so he went looking for Him. We don’t know where he found Jesus, for He had no earthly home. “Foxes have holes,” He said, “and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head” (Matthew 8:20). But the Bible says that if we seek Him, He may be found (Isaiah 55:6, Matthew 7:7). And, sure enough, Nicodemus found Jesus in the dark of night.

“Rabbi,” he said, “we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him” (John 3:2).

Jesus changed the conversation from the miracles of which Nicodemus inquired to the miracle of a new life in Christ and said, “Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God … That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again’” (John 3:6-7). Nicodemus’ reaction was filled with doubt and unbelief, and he exclaimed, “How can these things be?” (John 3:9).

Jesus answered this leading Pharisee with another question. “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things?” (John 3:10).

Nicodemus was stunned. If Christ had said this to Zacchaeus or the woman at the well, it might make sense, but Jesus spoke to a professor of theology. And He was saying, “It isn’t enough, Nicodemus. You must be born again.”

This term born again has fascinated people for centuries. It simply means “Born From Above”—born into the family of God. We are all God’s creation, but we are not all God’s children. Those who are born only once (physical birth) will experience physical and spiritual death, what the Bible calls the second death. But those who are born twice (physically and spiritually) will die only a physical death because they will be resurrected to life eternal. This is why Jesus came.

Nicodemus could only see human life; Jesus was speaking of spiritual life. What Nicodemus needed was a new heart. Surely he would have read the Scripture, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you” (Ezekiel 36:26). No matter how hard Nicodemus worked to live right, he fell short of being born again.

This was a lot for Nicodemus to take in. Imagine what must have been going through his mind when he heard Jesus say,

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:16-17).

The Bible does not record what happened after their meeting; and if the Book of John ended there, we might not know what became of Nicodemus. But John 7 tells of a debate that later arose among the Jewish leaders about Jesus, for He had told them also that He was going away, and “where I am you cannot come” (John 7:33-34). Jesus knew the chief priests were planning to seize Him, but He spoke of returning to His heavenly home. Then the Pharisees asked one another if any of them believed Jesus, and Scripture says that Nicodemus spoke up for Him (John 7:47-51). Jesus’ words had illuminated Nicodemus’ darkened heart.

We don’t see Nicodemus again until he appears after Christ’s death on the cross, bringing a mixture of spices to use in preparing Jesus’ body for burial (John 19:39). Most of Christ’s followers had fled, but here we see Nicodemus caring for Him. It seems that even in death’s shadow, Nicodemus had eternity on his mind.

But as we’ve seen, many people never think of eternity. As a Christian and a preacher of the Gospel, I am always grieved to have to interrupt a marvelous picture, such as eternal life in Heaven, to talk about another eternal place that Jesus calls HELL. It has no similarities to what is typically called home, nor is Hell a resting place, a holding place, or a graveyard. Hell is a burning inferno.

More than the description, I want to point out the greatest darkness of Hell—it is a place where Jesus is not. Jesus said, “I am going away. You will search for me but will die in your sin. You cannot come where I am going” (John 8:21, NLT). This is the great anguishing nightmare—to be eternally separated from the Son of God. It is unimaginable. For this reason alone, to be in Hell is the most terrible of all judgments.

There are some people who actually believe that if they end up in Hell, they’ll get used to it. After all, they say, the devil has provided a great deal of pleasure for them while on earth, so how bad can it be?

Let me tell you; the devil is not in charge of Hell, nor is it his headquarters. Satan is the “prince of this world” (John 16:11, KJV) and has taken up residence in many hearts. But He knows what the end is for him. He made his choice long ago and wants to take a world of people with him to Hell, where he will serve out his eternal sentence.

The Bible says that the everlasting fire was created for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41). Jesus said, “I have the keys of Hades and of Death” (Revelation 1:18). The devil does not own Hell. It is not his home—it is his judgment.

A mother and son once lived in a miserable attic. Years before, she had married against her parents’ wishes and had gone with her husband to live in a strange land. But her husband soon died, and she managed with great difficulty to secure the bare necessities. The boy’s happiest times were when his mother told of her father’s house in the old country, a place with grassy lawns, enormous trees, wide porches, and delicious meals. The child longed to live there.

One day the postman knocked at the door with a letter. The woman recognized her father’s handwriting and with trembling fingers opened the envelope that held a check and a slip of paper with two words: “Come home.”

A similar experience will come to all who know Christ. Someday you will receive this brief message: “The Father says come home.”

Those who know Christ are not afraid to die. Death is not the grim reaper. Death to the Christian is “going home.” No one who has died in the Lord would ever want to come back to this life. To depart and be with Christ, Paul said, “is far better” (Philippians 1:23). The Bible says that we are strangers and pilgrims on earth, seeking a homeland, a place prepared for us by God (Hebrews 11:16) where the Lord will receive us into “an everlasting home” (Luke 16:9). I have never known a man or woman to receive Christ and ever regret it.

Perhaps you have never bent your will to God’s will and been born again. You can do that now, for He desires that all be saved (1 Timothy 2:4). Right now you can make your decision for Christ and start on the road that leads to a heavenly home.

Jesus said in essence, “You can be where I am, or you can be where I am not.” I pray you settle life’s most important question: WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY?

My witness is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going (John 8:14).

By Franklin Graham

I was deeply saddened but certainly not surprised when the U.S. Supreme Court handed down its tragically flawed and immorally reasoned decision on same-sex marriage.

It was obvious that the liberal wing of the court had already predetermined the outcome of the Obergefell v. Hodges case, even though dozens of states over the past few years had passed marriage amendments—many of them by overwhelming margins—banning same-sex unions.

Indeed, both the Clinton and Bush administrations supported the Defense of Marriage Act, which endorsed the traditional and historic view and rights of marriage between a man and woman. President George W. Bush even called for a constitutional amendment to further strengthen the historic definition of marriage. Bush said, “The union of a man and a woman is the most enduring human institution, honored and encouraged in all cultures, and by every religious faith.”

Yet under the zealous gay/lesbian activism of President Obama—who in his first term actually opposed same-sex marriage—the floodgates of acceptance of this practice of sexual immorality were opened wide.

white-house-lit-up-1-1024x703

The White House was lit up in rainbow colors June 26 2015 to celebrate the Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage.

Never, though, would I have dreamed that our president would light up the White House with the vivid, bright rainbow colors of the gay movement. It was a deliberate, measured step by the president to flaunt and celebrate a disastrous ruling that blatantly defies God’s moral law.

I am reminded of the Bible’s admonition to the Romans, whose culture had been rapidly descending into sexual chaos, especially with the overt, shameless practice of homosexuality. “Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them” (Romans 1:32, emphasis mine).

I cannot overstate what a dangerous era we have now entered. Immorality and depraved debauchery are not only endorsed by courts and political leaders, but these are joyfully celebrated. God’s standards are mocked and ridiculed in the process, and the battle lines are clearly drawn for decades to come between a decadent, defiant culture and believers who are committed to the truth of the Gospel.

The Scriptures state just how serious the rejection of God’s truth can be for a people: “Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law” (Proverbs 29:18). The church of the Lord Jesus Christ provides culture not only with encouraging salt and light but also with a divine restraint on the spread of evil and wickedness.

Attempts to throw off biblical morality never result in the freedoms anticipated. The end is always increasing enslavement to immorality, a consequence that ultimately can lead to the demise of a civilization. Destructive behavior of every kind is gradually unleashed, ushering in increasing lawlessness and corruption. I don’t think we realize the horror that awaits a people who rebel and reject God’s authority.

Ironically, the very symbol the gay/lesbian movement has chosen—the rainbow—should remind us all of God’s righteous judgment and His gracious, covenantal restraint until that Day. When the rainbow appeared after the flood to Noah, God’s promise wasn’t that He would never destroy the Earth again—but simply that He would not use a worldwide flood to do so.

The rainbow came after the iniquity of man had become such a stench in God’s nostrils that God acted to cleanse the earth, sparing only Noah and his family. At Christ’s return, the earth, the heavens and mankind will come under the intense judgment of God. “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and works that are done on it will be exposed” (2 Peter 3:10).

When the rainbow appears in the Book of Revelation, it precedes the impending, unstoppable wrath that will come upon all who rebel against Christ.

The Apostle John writes: “Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow over the head, and his face was like the sun, and his legs like pillars of fire” (Revelation 10:1). Unprecedented woes of God’s end-time judgment have commenced, as Almighty God prepares a new Heaven and a new Earth where righteousness reigns and sin is forever banished.

Incredibly, as the severity of God’s judgments escalate, rebellious and hard-hearted men continue to shake their fists in the face of God. “They were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues. They did not repent and give him glory” (Revelation 16:9).

My prayer is that in every state, God will raise up committed, bold followers of Christ who will have the courage to run for local, state and national offices, and perhaps by the grace of God, overcome the spread of wickedness in our nation.

For while I do not understate the challenges that lie ahead for our nation and for the church in what is fast becoming (and perhaps already is) a post-Christian America, neither do I dare underestimate the power of the Gospel. It convicts of sin and righteousness. It confronts those living in rebellion with truth and consequences. It transforms any person willing to turn from sin and put their faith in the Savior.

Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ may increasingly be in the minority, but “nothing can hinder the Lord from saving by many or by few” (1 Samuel 14:6).

As you go through this unpredictable life, hold on to the sweetness of God’s character, for that will provide both stability and sensitivity

As you go through this unpredictable life, hold on to the sweetness of God’s character, for that will provide both stability and sensitivity

How you handle frustration, annoyance and persecution today will add blessings to you in Heaven

Getting even feels good! That’s why people do it—vengeance temporarily gives them a sense of satisfaction, though it quickly dissipates into regret. Have you ever read one of those imprecatory psalms? You know, the ones where David called down God’s wrath on someone? “Break their teeth in their mouth, O God!” (Psalm 58:6). While it’s not my life verse, I confess I’ve imprecated people on the freeway or over parking spaces from time to time.

But I’ve learned something: As I truly pray for people, my heart begins to change. As I start asking God to bless them, my heart begins to soften and becomes more Christlike.

Exhibiting a loving humility is easier said than done because people are neither always tender hearted nor always sympathetic. Often we are met with blatant hostility. And Peter calls us to a gentle response: “Not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing” (1 Peter 3:9). We’re not sure if he was referring to unbelievers persecuting believers or if he was speaking about fellow believers with whom we have a disagreement.

Either way, we should respond the same way: GENTLY.

Don’t fight back. We bless “that [we] might inherit a blessing.” The New Living Translation makes it even stronger: “Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will bless you for it.” When Peter penned this, he may have been thinking back to the time he tried to fight evil with evil in the Garden of Gethsemane. As the enemies came to arrest Jesus, Peter snatched a sword and went right for Malchus’s ear! After Jesus restored the man’s ear, He instructed Peter to put away his weapon, “for all who take the sword will perish by the sword” (Matthew 26:52). Peter knew from first hand experience both the temptation to take vengeance and the importance of leaving it up to God.

One of the greatest virtues that separates Christianity from other belief systems is that we are taught not to avenge ourselves nor ignore our dissenters. We are commanded to love our enemies. This kind of response was virtually unheard of in antiquity. Human nature—then and now—is best summed up in the Old Testament law known as the LEX TALIONIS, which prescribed a restricted vengeance of an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth (see Exodus 21). Vengeance limited to fair restitution is one thing, but to bless instead?

Peter was saying that when you bless instead of curse—when, instead of doing what feels right, you do what is right—you will be blessed. How you handle frustration, annoyance and persecution today will add blessings to you in Heaven. Jesus said, “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven” (Matthew 5:11-12). As Solomon noted, “A soft answer turns away wrath” (Proverbs 15:1). Part of the blessing is that it defuses your anger, allowing your wrath to be neutralized by time and calmer emotions. The other part is that it attracts others to Jesus’ message of love and forgiveness.

A pastor from Argentina named Juan Carlos Ortiz wrote about a leadership conference he attended. He said, “I saw a man who was in my former denomination, so I went over to him to hug him.” But the man saw him coming and growled, “Don’t hug me.” Ortiz replied, “Well, I love you.” The man almost shouted in response, “You cannot love me because I am your enemy!” Ortiz responded, “Praise the Lord! I didn’t know you were my enemy, but here’s an opportunity for me to love my enemies.” He walked up to him, hugged him close, and prayed aloud, “Thank you, Jesus, for my precious enemy.” Within one year, Ortiz was preaching at the man’s church. His gentle response led to a giant blessing.

And there’s a practical reason to seek that blessing. Quoting Psalm 34, Peter said, “For ‘He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it’” (1 Peter 3:10-11).

Do you love life? Do you want to be happy—to experience and enjoy the blessing of God in your life? Then love people—the good and the bad. Respond to people’s snorts and brusque comments with something that will surprise them. Show them love. If you love people, you’ll love life.

Why is this so important? Because many don’t love life; they tolerate it, or even hate it.

Even Solomon—who had so much—came to a point where he said, “Therefore, I hated life … for all is vanity and vexation of spirit” (Ecclesiastes 2:17, KJV). I even know some Christians who, when I ask how they’re doing, just answer, “Oh, I’m OK. Making it through.” It’s understandable to feel that way during a rough week or two, but month after month, year after year, for a whole lifetime? It reminds me of the pessimistic donkey from Winnie the Pooh. I wonder, did the spirit of Eeyore take over?

God’s perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18), which should motivate us to leave Him in control. Everyone you encounter is allowed into your life by God for His own purposes. When you realize that, you’ll want to make sure that you bless whoever it may be, not curse them. Peter offered further motivation: “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous” (1 Peter 3:12).

Not only is God looking after you, He’s listening to you. Peter continued: “And His ears are open to their prayers” (1 Peter 3:12). I don’t have to worry about those who are trying to do me evil. God will deal with them in His own way, so I don’t have to exact revenge.

As you go through this unpredictable life, hold on to the sweetness of God’s character, for that will provide both stability and sensitivity. Remember, there was a time when you were unlovely, when you rejected Him, when you failed to love others the way He does, and yet Jesus loved and died for you (see Romans 5:8).

So, here we are, not the company of the faultless but of the forgiven. The proof is in our open doors and open hearts. We welcome the unlovely, the hurting, the coarse—we welcome each other. We let go of ourselves and our self-centeredness and hold on to Jesus. While we will feel upset—in the car or the grocery line or in conversation—we can choose to show His compassion, His patience, His humility and tender-heartedness. In this way, we avoid the vanity of vengeance—by the sweetness, the kindness, the respect and wonder of His love.

God knows what He is doing! His plans are perfect!

2-Corinthians_12-9: And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me

My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.

2 Corinthians 12:9, NKJV

“Take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female” (Gen. 7:2-3, NIV ). Just how big was Noah’s assignment? We know that there are more than eighteen thousand different species of mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians today. If the number is doubled to include two of every kind, with several thousand extras added to make up the five additional pairs of each “clean” species, then double all of that to include any that have become extinct, the total figure is about seventy-five thousand animals!

According to the dimensions given, when Noah had all the animals assembled on the ark, only 60 percent of the available space would have been occupied. The remaining 40 percent would be available for food storage and living quarters for Noah’s family. It all worked, as impossible as it had seemed!

God knows what He is doing! His plans are perfect! You can obey His instructions with confidence!

God Is Still At Work In You

God Is Still At Work In You

Ephesians_3-20: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us

Ephesians_3-20: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us

Sing praises on the harp to our God, who covers the heavens with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth.

Psalm 147:7-8, NKJV

Although God was actively involved throughout the Creation process, in the beginning the “earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep” (Gen. 1:2,NIV).

If you and I had been present at that time to view the earth, we might have had the impression that because we could not see any evidence of God’s activity, He was not doing anything. Yet at that very time, “the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters” (Gen. 1:2, NIV). He was actively preparing Planet Earth to receive His Word and be transformed into a place of beauty and purpose.

Are you concerned for a friend whose life is like “the surface of the deep”– undulating, unstable, always changing, and moody? Even though you have prayed without ceasing, have you seen no evidence of God’s activity in that person’s life? Have you therefore concluded that God is not active? Place your faith in the God of Creation and be encouraged! He is active whether or not you and I can see evidence of His activity.

Please Let Jesus Fix You!

By Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible, and invisible.

Colossians 1:16, NKJV

It can be mind boggling to contemplate the vastness of the universe, from the greatest star to the smallest particle. It is so vast that astronomers are now saying that it stretches beyond what we are capable of penetrating, even with sophisticated telescopes like the Hubble. And every bit of it was created by the Living Word of God, Who, even as He hung the stars in space, counted them and called them each by name!

Not only did He create objects of massive size, but He also created such minute, delicate, intricate things as snowflakes, no two of which are the same.

Jesus Christ is the One by Whom, for Whom, through Whom everything was made. Therefore, He knows what’s wrong in your life and how to fix it. Let Him take charge. Give Him the authority to put it right.

Thank You Jesus.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND THE BLESSINGS OF SALVATION

RESPONSIBILITIES AND THE BLESSINGS OF SALVATION

Text:

Ephesians 4:17-24
This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

INTRODUCTION:

God expects all saved souls to put off the their old nature and put on a new man after Christ. Those who put on a new man through genuine repentance have a lots of blessings awaiting them.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SAVED SOUL

1. All Saved Souls Must Put Off The Old Man,
Matthew 9:16
No man putteth a piece of new cloth unto an old garment, for that which is put in to fill it up taketh from the garment, and the rent is made worse.

2. All Saved Souls Must Put On The New Man
Matthew 9:17
Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

3. Disengagement From Every Link With The Devil.
2 Corinthians 6:1-18

Ephesians 5:11-12
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

4. Purification Of Thoughts And Hearts.
Psalm 19: 14
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

1 Corinthians 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

5. Regular Fellowship With God
James 4:8
Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

1 John 1:1-3
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

6. Regular Fellowship With The Brethren.
Psalm 133:1
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

Hebrews 10:25
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Acts 2:42-47
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

7. Acting in faith and living to please God always.
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

THE BLESSINGS OF SALVATION

1. Becoming Joint Heirs With Christ
Romans 8:16-17
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

2. Ability To Do All Christ Did While Here On Earth.
John 14:12
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ[a] who strengthens me.

3. Doing Greater Works Than Christ Did
John 14:12
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

4. Ability To Enjoy Everlasting Life.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 17:3
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

5. Grace To Enjoy Benefits Of Righteousness
1 Peter 2:24
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

6. Restoration, Deep Knowledge, Wisdom And Understanding
Philippians 3:10
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

7. Material/ Financial Wealth, Sound Health, Fruitfulness, Joy, Beauty, And Glory
2 Corinthians 8:9
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

3 JOHN 2

Conclusion:

Salvation opens doors to God’s blessings in your life.

Thank You Jesus.

Universal Wake Up Call. God Can Repair Our Broken Down Fences

Universal Wake Up Call. God Can Repair Our Broken Down Fences

2-Chronicles_7-14: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land

By Franklin Graham

Dear Friend,

In the Bible we read that Nehemiah was discouraged and distressed because the walls of Jerusalem had been broken down and its gates had been burned with fire. He sat down and wept and mourned for his nation—and he cried out to the God of Heaven.

God heard his prayers and used him to lead the people to rebuild those broken-down walls. They were greatly outnumbered by their enemies and facing opposition and vicious threats. They responded by praying and seeking God, and they went to work rebuilding what had been torn down, even holding their weapons in their hands to protect themselves while they worked. In a miraculously short time—52 days—they rebuilt the walls and hope was restored.

The World’s walls of biblical morality are crumbling. Almost everyone I speak with is distraught over the direction our world is taking. Christianity and our religious freedoms are under siege. Progressives and secularists want to see God removed from everything and to burn every gate of protection.

We can’t sit idle. Like Nehemiah we need to take a bold stand. We need to cry out to God on behalf of our nation. Nehemiah confessed the sins and failures of the people, “including myself and my father’s family,” and repented. He prayed, “We have acted very wickedly toward you” (Nehemiah 1:6–7, NIV).

I believe that it is going to take the church of Jesus Christ standing up for righteousness, shoulder to shoulder, to make a difference in this world. God hears the prayers of His people, and walls can be rebuilt.

We need Christian Presidents, Christian Governors, Christian judges, Christian assembly members, and Christian mayors. We need Christian clerks of court, school board members, governors, and, of course, senators and representatives.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

The strategy that the Lord gave Nehemiah was for each family to begin repairing the portion of the wall nearest their own home. And in our day we can begin rebuilding the wall around our own homes as well. How? Start a prayer group in your own community to pray that our nations would turn back to God—just a few friends praying together every week can make a huge impact. Join your state’s prayer team and for our nations. Support Christians running for office in your city and state. Engage right where you are to make a difference for Christ.

Thank you for standing with us at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to take the Gospel message to as many people as possible through radio, the Internet, evangelistic Crusades both here at home and around the world.

May God richly bless you,

Franklin Graham

Do You Not Know That Your Bodies Are Temples Of The Holy Spirit

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1 Corinthians 6:19

The following message, first preached by Billy Graham more than 60 years ago, is so fitting that it could have been written yesterday. The unchanging truth of God’s Word speaks to hearts in every generation. Let it change yours.

From the very beginning, God has given us moral laws governing the subject of sex that are absolute and unchangeable. Nowhere does the Bible teach that sex in itself is a sin. But from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible condemns the wrong use of sex.

The Bible teaches that “there is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death” (Proverbs 14:12).

We allow our magazine shelves to be filled with obscene literature. Our young people have very little restraint placed on them. In many universities religion is frowned on and sexual freedom is idolized.

In the midst of this darkness, the Word of God stands as a beacon. It speaks either to assure us of the right or to condemn us when wrong.

According to the Bible, morals are not relative. They are absolute. When Moses stood on Mount Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments, which are the basis of all moral law, God said to him, “Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine” (Exodus 19:5).

There is nothing in the Bible that would lead us to believe that God has ever lowered His standards. The seventh commandment says, “You shall not commit adultery” (Exodus 20:14).

This commandment has never been revoked or changed in the slightest degree.

Jesus went further and said, “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matthew 5:27-28).

All the way through the Bible, immorality is listed along with murder and idolatry. In the Old Testament God demanded the death penalty for this sin. God hated it to such an extent that if persons were proved to be guilty, they were to be stoned. Jesus hated this sin so much that He said it is the only thing that can break a sacred marriage contract.

The Bible teaches that this sin leads to hell. “For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil; but in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. Her feet go down to death, her steps lay hold of hell” (Proverbs 5:3-5).

In 1 Corinthians 6, the Bible says that no immoral person can inherit the kingdom of God. There are hundreds of passages that indicate the wrath of God is being stored up against those who commit such sins. God destroyed whole cities because of immorality, and He ordered Israel to destroy nations because of their perversions.

God has not changed. What was wrong from the beginning is still wrong today in God’s sight. There is no variableness nor shadow of turning with God. He is absolute. And I warn you that His wrath is going to explode upon those who are immoral and upon those who encourage others to indulge in immoral practices.

While it is true that “by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight” (Romans 3:20), God will judge men and women by the Law. The Bible says, “Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things” (Romans 2:1).

Romans 1 not only exposes moral sin, but it sets forth the basis upon which God will judge such sin. “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them” (Romans 1:28-32).

Three times this chapter says that God “gave them up” or “gave them over.” Men and women became so immoral that even God “gave up.” In other words, they hardened their heart and deadened their conscience to such an extent that they could no longer hear the voice of God. They were blinded, hardened and deadened to conscience.

You may continue in your sins and evade the social consequences in this life, but you will never evade God’s Law. Even as the Bible says, “But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you. And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins” (Leviticus 26:14-18).

Many people say, “But we are not under law—we are under grace.”

Jesus did teach a new theology. The real truth is that now, Christ having died for our sins, God views them more seriously than ever. The Bible says, “Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, ‘Vengeance is Mine; I will repay,’ says the Lord. And again, ‘The Lord will judge His people.’ It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God” (Hebrews 10:28-31).

We flaunt our evil and corruption into the face of Almighty God as though God were completely indifferent. We glorify the twin crimes of sexual perversion and drunkenness, which have spelled doom for other nations. Men and women openly condemn immorality but secretly get a vicarious thrill out of reading in the newspapers the moral deviations of movie stars, socialites and public figures.

Such times of moral degradation have taken place before in the history of the nations. There have been few that have survived the deadening effect. The truth that is often overlooked is that while we become deeply concerned and rightly take steps to curb the evil, legislation cannot work a cure in these things.

Many people are confident that legislation will solve our problem. Our problem is deeper than that. It is the constant problem of the individual sinner before God. Whether the sin is privately or publicly expressed, it is still the individual who stands guilty before God. It is the individual who must cry out to God for salvation from his or her personal sin.

Only the Gospel can cure our nation.

While we have an obligation to take steps to curb the outbreak of sin, we have a higher responsibility for the protection of our youth. Young people must be brought before God’s answer to the problem. The temptation to sin, and the evil that results from yielding to temptation, is more than an unaided man or woman can overcome. The disposition to sin is so overpowering that apart from the grace and power of God we cannot solve our problems. Unless God lifts us out of our sin, we will forever remain in it.

Perhaps you have been confronted with temptations to sin and have found yourself unable to rise above them. The law has condemned you before God and has done its rightful work. Paul said, “By the law is the knowledge of sin” (Romans 3:20), and you, hearing the standards set forth in God’s law, have said within yourself, “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?” (Romans 7:18-24).

Many have tried with all sincerity to live according to these requirements of the law, and have been plunged into despair, being unable to fulfill them. And all the requirements must be fulfilled, for the Bible says that “whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all” (James 2:10).

What a horrible condemnation this is, and yet this is the Scripture.

But God, knowing our inability because of sin, has graciously made provision for all our need, great as it is. While we are unable in ourselves to live up to the law, and while in our weakened condition through sin we can only acknowledge its correctness, yet there is mercy with the Lord. To the desperate soul, fully aware of all his or her sin and failure, there comes the joyful assurance: “I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord! … There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 7:25-8:1).

Hallelujah! Amen!

1-Corinthians_6-20: For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

1-Corinthians_6-20: For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Don’t Let The Devil Intimidate You With His Roar

Don’t Let The Devil Intimidate You With His Roar

James_4-7: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you

James_4-7: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 (KJV)

There are many believers that are passive and it ought not to be so. Don’t sit down and keep complaining. Quit saying whatever will be will be. There are things you can stand up and change because you have the word of God. If I am not called to be passive, what should I do? Resist the devil. I hear some people go to the extent of propounding the theory that fasting is no longer needed. That is a lie from the pit of hell. Jesus did not say, “If you fast”, in Matthew 6; rather, He said, “When you fast”. This shows that Jesus expects us to fast.

Matthew 11:12 (KJV) tells us “the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” If you know what God has made available for you in heavenly places, let the devil know that you are not backing down until you get it. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Don’t you know that the devil wants to wear you out? He wants to deprive you of what is already yours so you have to resist him. Don’t let him intimidate you with his roar.

Every promise of God is sealed with the blood. It is a covenant. Therefore, what God has spoken concerning you will come to pass. In Luke 18:1-8, Jesus told a parable to illustrate how believers ought to stand their ground. Even when a thing is yours, the devil will never put things in your hands. So here was this widow being resisted but she stood her ground and got her victory. Hear the unjust judge in Luke 18:4-8 (KJV), “Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”

Faith means standing your ground. When you do, you will see God come through for you.

Luke 18:1-8;
The Parable of the Persistent Widow
18 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought.

3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’

4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think,

5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”

6 And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says.

7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?

8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”

1 Peter 5:5-10
5 In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,

“God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”[a]
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

Heaven And Earth Shall Pass Away: But My Words Shall Not Pass Away

Heaven And Earth Shall Pass Away: But My Words Shall Not Pass Away

Matthew_24-35: Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away

Matthew_24-35: Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away

“Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.” Mark 13:31 (KJV)

The word of God cannot be violated. If He has said it, it shall be even as God has spoken concerning your life. So learn to resist. Don’t accept what the devil throws at you. When he says that your business will not see growth, resist him. When he says you cannot have a baby, resist him. When he says you cannot be promoted, resist him. When he says you cannot advance, resist him. Stand your ground based on the word of God, which can never fail. If He has spoken it, He will bring it to pass. His word will always come through.

What has God said to you? What have you seen in the word that belongs to you? Do you know what God is saying to me about it? He will do it. Do you believe that? You will wear the devil out; he is not going to wear you out. Don’t give up!

In Mark 5, Jairus visited Jesus and asked him to lay his hands on his daughter so that she would be healed. As they were travelling, a woman with the issue of blood came and took her miracle with little delay. Beloved, the fact that something is delayed does not mean that it is the end. Until Jesus steps on the scene, nothing is over.

The report came from Jairus’ home that his daughter was dead, but Jesus stepped in and told Jairus to hold on. And when Jesus got to the house, the story changed. Beloved, your negative story will change. As you stand your ground, be assured that God will come through. The Bible recorded that Jesus heard the report from Jairus’ home and immediately told him only to believe. Don’t stop believing. Don’t stop the process. Some believers stop believing because there is resistance from the enemy. They conclude that the word will not work again. That is a lie from the pit of hell. Stand your ground and see the salvation of your God. I declare that God will come through for you in every area of your life.

23 He pleaded earnestly with him, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.”

24 So Jesus went with him.

A large crowd followed and pressed around him.

25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years.

26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse.

27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak,

28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”

29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.

30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”

31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”

32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it.

33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth.

34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

35 While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?”

36 Overhearing[a] what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”

37 He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James.

38 When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly.

39 He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.”

40 But they laughed at him.

After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was.

41 He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).

42 Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished.

43 He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat.

God Is Not A Man, That He Should Lie. For Every Delay, You Will Receive Double.

God Is Not A Man, That He Should Lie. For Every Delay, You Will Receive Double.

Jeremiah_29-11: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end

Jeremiah_29-11: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end

“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:19 (KJV)

The fact that you opened your store and God said that you are going to sell more than anyone else does not mean there won’t be challenges. Neither do the challenges overrule what God has said. You may be a fashion designer and God said that He is going to take you all over the world. But then one month, two months, three months pass with nothing appearing to happen; don’t put your hands on your head and shout, “I’m finished!” Just go to bed and say, “I believe in God. Devil, it shall be even as God has spoken.” That was what Jairus did in Mark 5. When it looked as if all hope was lost, Jesus said to him, “Be not afraid, only believe” (Mark 5:36, KJV). In other words, forget about those talking to you, because Jesus is still with you.

Beloved, that is all you need. Once you know that God is with you in your business and in your job, human beings can only waste their time. The devil can only dance around, because you will succeed. God will exceed your expectations. The devil is too late. He cannot affect what God has spoken. He will fight it but he cannot stop it. It shall be even as God has spoken concerning your life. So don’t take “no” for an answer. For every delay, you will receive double.

Many people have started even lower than where you are today and succeeded. The fact that you are alive is proof that God is set to do incredible things in your life. Your victory has been fully paid for and guaranteed by the blood of Jesus. Whatever God has spoken concerning you will come to pass. Our text echoes that fact-God is not a man to lie. He has never lied and it is absolutely impossible for Him to lie. You can stake your life on the word and your victory is sure.

You Are Already Blessed

You Are Already Blessed

Ephesians_1-3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Ephesians_1-3. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” Ephesians 1:3 (KJV)

You are already blessed. You may not feel like it and you may not look like it, but we don’t go by feelings. We go by what the word of God says. In the world, it is said that seeing is believing, but in the kingdom, you believe it and then you will see it. It is God that decided to bless you in heavenly places in Christ.

God intends for everyone to be healed. God intends for everyone to prosper. God intends for everyone to walk in power. But not everyone can enjoy such things. Unfortunately, it depends on what you do. You’ve read that Christ has already redeemed you. As far as heaven is concerned, salvation is already yours. The question is, what have you done with it? Beloved, know that you are already blessed.

However, there is an adversary just like in our natural world that is fighting on a regular basis. As I have already illustrated some days ago, someone can buy a property with all the necessary documents but still see another person take possession of it. Was the purchase faulty? No, but the challenge is that the owner did not exercise his or her right. If this can happen in the natural world, and all truth is parallel, then the devil can take what belongs to you. It is yours. It is paid for. But if you fail to do what you are expected to do, you will lose what is yours not because God does not want you to be blessed but because you did not take possession.

It is high time we started to put our feet on the ground and let the devil know that he cannot take what God has given to you. I prophesy over your life that you will outlast every challenge. The intention of the devil is to bring you under, but God said you are going to outlast every challenge. The devil and his cohorts, they will behold God’s wonder in your life. Amen!

Romans 8:28-39
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 1:1-15
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
