Psalm 112. The Happiness Of A Good Person. The Blessed State Of The Righteous

1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. 2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. 4 Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. 5 A good man showeth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. 7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. 8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies. 9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour. 10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The Righteous Will Live By Faith

Seed of Faith

For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
Romans 1:17

Are you secure in God’s promise to never leave you or forsake you?

When we feel fear or uncertainty we should stand on God’s promises in His Word: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 14:27). Is your testimony one of faith or of fear?

Lester Sumrall said, “Faith is to be a constant dominating experience in your life-not something that comes once in a while… continually test yourself… when you start to make a decision or do something ask, ‘Is this faith’s road I’m walking? Or is it unbelief’s?’ If it is unbelief’s, get off that road! You don’t belong there. ‘Is this faith’s choice? Or is it fear’s choice?’ I’m not making that choice. I don’t want fear dominating my life. That’s living by faith. That’s the eternal quest for faith. You must do it all the time. Don’t quit. Just pursue it.”

Put your trust in God and get a spirit of faith. He has never let anyone down and He won’t start with you.

Psalm 119. The Justice Of The Law Of The LORD

TZADDI

137 Righteous art thou, O LORD, and upright are thy judgments. 138 Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful.

139 My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.

140 Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

141 I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts.

142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights. 144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

Psalm 98. God The Ruler Of The World. A Song Of Praise To The LORD For His Salvation And Judgment

A Psalm

1 O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. 2 The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly showed in the sight of the heathen. 3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. 5 Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. 6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King. 7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. 8 Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together 9 Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Psalm 97. God The Supreme Ruler. A Song Of Praise To The Sovereign LORD

1 The LORD reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof. 2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne. 3 A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about. 4 His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled. 5 The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. 6 The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory. 7 Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods.

8 Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O LORD. 9 For thou, LORD, art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods. 10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. 11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. 12 Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Psalms 58. A Prayer For God To Punish The Wicked. The Just Judgment Of The Wicked

To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David

1 Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men? 2 Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth. 3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies. 4 Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear; 5 Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD. 7 Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces. 8 As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun. 9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath. 10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. 11 So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Matthew 5. The Sermon On The Mount

Matthew 5. The Sermon On The Mount

1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: 2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. 10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; 24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. 25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. 26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement: 32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

33 Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: 34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne: 35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. 36 Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black. 37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. 41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Psalms 11. Faith in the LORD’s righteousness. Confidence in the LORD

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David

1 In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? 2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. 3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. 5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. 6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. 7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

Psalms 1. True happiness. The way of the righteous and the end of the ungodly (KJV)

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Clothed in Christ Righteousness

And when they crucified Him, they divided His garments, casting lots for them to determine what every man should take.

Mark 15:24, NKJV

When Jesus finally arrived at the place of execution around nine o’clock in the morning, if His treatment followed standard procedure in those days, He was stripped of all His clothes. Possibly He was allowed to retain a loincloth.

Yet because Jesus was stripped “naked,” you and I can be clothed! The Bible tells us that all of our righteousness, including the very best things we ever do, are so permeated with sin and selfishness that they are like filthy rags in God‘s sight
(Isa. 64:6). But at the Cross, Jesus gave us His perfect, spotless robe of righteousness and took our filthy garments of sin in exchange (Phil. 3:9). On Judgment Day, you and I will be dressed in His righteousness before God because He wore the filthy garments of our sin. We will be clothed because He was stripped!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

LIKE JESUS

Esther 1-3

Memorize:Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 1 John 3:7

Read: 1 John 3:1-10

The call to salvation is a call to holiness. After you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour, it does not end there; the journey to Heaven has only just begun. Before you were saved, you manifested the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21).

But now that you have encountered Jesus Christ at salvation, the fruit of the Spirit is expected from you (Galatians 5:22-23). Every attempt at righteousness before your salvation was equal to self-righteousness which is as filthy rags to God (Isaiah 64:6); hence, Paul says his self-righteousness no longer counts but the righteousness by faith in Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:9).

God has not only saved us and given us the gift of righteousness, He also expects us to live a life in agreement with His standard. Today, some people think that it is just enough to be born again and that nothing else is required.

No! It is not enough! The truth is your new birth gives you the platform on which to build on, having secured God’s righteousness through your faith in Christ Jesus. We are called to be like our Saviour Jesus Christ. In 1 John 2:1, Jesus is called the righteous, and verse 29 says: If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

This means that the fruit of righteousness that you bear will be used to determine whether you are born of God or not. 1 John 3:7 says: Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. God is not saying you should be holier than Jesus. Even Jesus says it is enough for a servant to be like his master (Luke 6:40).

If God expected works of righteousness from Jesus, He expects the same from you. If you look at the letters the Lord wrote to the churches in Revelation 2 and 3, you will notice that He kept repeating that those who will qualify for those wonderful rewards are only the believers who overcome as He also overcame.

In every point Jesus overcame, you too should, because He is our standard. Every act of righteousness He manifested, you too should. You must live a life that manifests the victory Christ has given you over the flesh, Satan and the world. You must allow Him to live His righteous life through you. Are you daily living a life of righteousness?

KEY POINT: Jesus is God’s unchangeable standard for man. Be like Him in everything including righteous living.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The righteousness which is by faith

Blessed Are They Who Hunger And Thirst For Rig...

The righteousness which is by faith

“………Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness” (Romans 4:3)

The righteousness of the Law of Moses was based on works. However, the righteousness which is by the faith of Jesus Christ was credited to your account when you were born again; this righteousness excludes works. In other words, it’s not based on the works of the Law or your good actions. It’s not based on how good and nice you’ve been, but on faith. It has nothing to do with what you did and what you didn’t do, for it’s the result of what Christ has done.

Sadly, some Christians are still trying to be righteous, holy, and pleasing to God! They are struggling to be what they already are. They’re trying to possess what God already said belongs to them. The Bible says, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our LORD Jesus Christ(Romans 5:1). That means you’re already righteous, hence, you don’t need to struggle to be righteous.

There are people who believe that their good works will answer for them in life. They think they rank highly with God because they don’t do anything wrong. The righteousness which is by faith doesn’t rely on your good works but on your faith in the God that justifies the ungodly (Romans 4:5). I’m talking about the One that saved Rahad, the prostitute. All Rahad did was to believe in the God that justifies the ungodly and embrace the righteousness of God.

You may be reading this blog and you’ve committed many sins in your life. You’ve lied, cheated, done a lot of terrible things, and made a lot of mistakes. Well, you don’t need to cry, feel condemned, or keep brooding over all the wrong things you’ve done! We have a God that justifies the ungodly. Just believe in Him! Believe in the cleansing power of blood of Jesus Christ; that blood is still effective today.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father! My heart is anchored on Your Word and I refuse to yield to the distractions of the enemy. Help me to keep my focus and confidence rooted in the cleansing power of the blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and not in my good works, in Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

For every one that ask receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened (Luke 11:10)

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

For every one that ask receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened (Luke 11:10)

You have every right, as a child of God, to expect answers when you pray (John 15:16). But if you pray to God, doubting, you’re not going to get anything James 1:8 says, “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” No man can receive anything from God without faith (Hebrews 11:6)

The reason some people wouldn’t expect answers to their prayers is that they remember all their sins and failures as soon as they get on their knees to pray; they are overwhelmed by self-condemnation. Self-condemnation will destroy your faith. It’s impossible for a man to receive anything from God without faith and that means you wouldn’t be able to receive the answer to your prayer. The way out of this quagmire is to build yourself in God’s Word because you’re a spiritual babe.

The Bible says, “For every on that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe” (Hebrews 5:13). Righteousness is the nature of God that makes you stand before God without the feeling of guilt, inferiority or condemnation. If you condemn yourself incessantly, then you’re unskilled in the Word of Righteousness and as such, you’re a spiritual babe. 1 Peter 2:2 says, “As newborn babes, desires the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby.” The Word of God can build you up in righteousness; “For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith…..” (Romans 1:17). You need to renew your mind with God’s Word and strengthen yourself in His righteousness. With this consciousness of your righteousness in Christ, you can confidently ask The Father, knowing that you’ll receive answer to your request.

Prayer:

Dear Heavenly father! I thank You for giving me the opportunity to ask according to Your will, and the confidence that You will grant my request. Therefore, I ask that You cause me to work in favour today; in my job, school and home, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Secret Sins

Secret Sins

Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance. Psalms 90:8

Besides expressing faith in God, the righteous is identified by consistent right-standing with God. According to Ezekiel 3:21, the righteous is expected not to live in sin, but to continue to do what glorifies God. Righteousness is not something you engage today and disengage tomorrow like some people think. You do not abstain from sin only when those you respect are around, but also when they are not around. The righteous does not only abstain from public sins but also from secret ones. The challenge of most believers is not how to avoid open sins but how to stay righteous in their thoughts realm and to keep away from touching the unclean things when they are all by themselves. That is a major challenge and for the righteous, this is the area he or she devotes more attention and prayer to.

David was one person who had a challenge in this area. Through the knowledge of God’s Word, he understood that secret sins, which nobody else is privy to, are fully exposed to God. In Psalms 90:8, he says our sins which were shrouded in secrecy of darkness and ignorance are exposed by the light of His (God’s) Presence. Your secret sins are not covered at all! God knows everything about your secret deeds. The devil or his agents who were present when you indulged in those evil acts also have the records. It is either God exposes your secrets, or the devil does. What you have buried in the earth or locked up in a safe, which you think is safe, is not safe at all. It can be exposed at anytime. The only secrets that can truly be secrets are the ones you confess to The LORD and hand over to Him. If He covers your faults, nobody can uncover them. When David realised this, he therefore asked God to deliver him from secret sins. Are you still living in sin secretly? Do you secretly masturbate, lust after same sex or the opposite sex? Do you secretly steal or bribe to influence decisions? Repent today and hand your secrets over to God.

Key Point:

The secret sins you fail to expose to Him today will be exposed before men and then nobody and nothing can cover your shame.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

I Have Never Seen The Righteous Forsaken. Nor His Children Begging Bread. Psalms 37:25.

A Crown of Righteousness for my Auntie Gin

I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging bread (Psalms 37:25)

It is great to be righteous! God is keenly interested in what the righteous has. While the world focus on the wealth of the wicked, God focuses on the little that the righteous has.

A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. (Psalms 37:16)

From this scripture we are told that some possessions are better than others. That means you can have little as a righteous individual and give of your little; it will be of great value to God than the individual who gives of his or her abundance but lives in secret sin. Are you righteous but you are bothered because you earn so little and cannot give much? Don’t be troubled! All God is looking for is that little in your hands. He will bless it and abundance will spring forth from there.

Moreover, according to Psalms 37:17, while God is breaking the arms of the wicked, He is strengthening the hands of the righteous. God uses His hands to uphold the righteous. Are you righteous? Rejoice! You are guaranteed to stay on top because God’s hands are holding you up. You will not fall! You will not fail! God is your backbone. In addition, another benefit of the righteous is that he is never forsaken. David testifies of this in Psalms 37:25:

I have been young, and am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

He says during his life time, he has experienced and observed God’s track record of faithfulness to the righteous. Are you righteous? God is not far from you. He is ever present with you whether you feel Him or not. He will not forsake you. In Matthew 28:20, His ever-abiding presence with the righteous is promised. Besides, David says he has never seen the children of the righteous begging bread. Psalms 37:3 says:

Trust in The LORD, and do good; so shall thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Some people think to enter Heaven; they must go like Lazarus the beggar. No! You can go like wealthy and famous Father Abraham. You can go like influential and honourable Daniel. If truly you are righteous, your seed should not beg for food. If you see the seed of any righteous begging, you can be sure something is wrong somewhere.

Prayer Point:

In the name of Jesus Christ, and according to Your track record of faithfulness recorded in Psalms 37:25, I shall not be forsaken and my seed shall never beg bread, Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

“In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” (Genesis 3:19).

After God created Adam, he ruled as a king over the whole earth. He named all the animals with his God-given, unparalleled wisdom. Everything went well and was peaceful. In addition, he regularly received his heavenly visitor – GOD. All he needed had been provided ever before he was created. Then came SIN! The man who wanted to be like God was reduced to dust. While meting out judgment to them, God told him, “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” (Genesis 3:19). Nothing debases a man like sin! Sin can relocate the one on the mountain top to the valley! The moment sin surfaced, everything on earth changed. Suddenly, man realized that he was naked. The animals also realized they could now govern themselves and did not need to be under the control of men. The ground hardened up as it resolved to reduce man’s harvest. The heavens seemed to moved farther from man as divine visitations now become a rarity. Sin changed everything!

There are some people who are still looking at their mother-in-law, or at one relative somewhere as the root cause of their problems, whereas they fail to see the real culprit-Sin-which they are carrying about with them. They are busy chasing shadows. Face reality! Is sin in your life? If yes, you are the one undoing yourself. It is an irony that people can go to any length searching for invisible enemies, whereas the visible enemy they are harbouring has become “Invisible” to them. In the Garden of Eden, sin brought nakedness. It also brought disgrace and sweating. Until man’s fall, there was no sweat. Progress was without sweat. Little effort delivered great results. But when sin came, great efforts delivered very little result. It was all work, much sweat and little or no progress. Have you not noticed that your gossiping, backbiting and jesting are working against you? As long as you refuse to cut off from sin – lies and deceit – you may continue to retrogress. Check yourself and pinpoint the sin that is hindering your life. Repent and ask God for forgiveness, resolving never to return to it.

Live right before God while asking for your covenant benefits.

Sin and Righteousness are two things that can rewrite one’s destiny, but from opposite angles. Choose righteousness!

Bread, Seed, and Fruits. God will increase the fruits of your righteousness

Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for
your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of
your righteousness

2 Corinthians 9:10

There are three things that are happening in your finances every day of
your life as you continue to follow God. First, He will “minister bread
for your food.” He will take care of all of your needs.

Secondly, He will “multiply your seed sown.” When you receive an
unexpected gift, the first thing you should do is check with the Holy
Ghost and find out what He wants you to do with it. This money is
earmarked for sowing. The money you receive is to not only come to you,
but to also go through you. The more money that goes through you, the
more money can come to you.

Thirdly, God will “increase the fruits of your righteousness.” In other
words, He will increase your personal harvest. Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The Cross is life

The Cross Is Life by Billy Graham

A gospel that appeals to our reason or righteousness will always be popular, for people like to feel that we can circumvent the cross of Christ. The cross left no footing for man to stand upon. It put the responsibility of man’s redemption upon Christ. Had not man failed? And was he not and is he not continuing to fail? Hasn’t history proved that “there is none righteous, no, not one”? (Romans 3:10).

The cross comes with its mighty power to bring low as well as to exalt, for it exalts none but those whom first it humbles. It calls the pious worshiper to come down out of his ivory tower and to take his place at the cross with the outcast and the vile. It tells the earnest seeker and the anxious inquirer that by their own efforts they are made not one whit better until they put their hope fully in Him who was slain. It tells the sincere evangelical, whose mind is a treasury of orthodox doctrines, that he must stand beside the drunkard and harlot and say, God be merciful to me a sinner!” (Luke 18:13).

I realize that these are hard sayings, but the Bible says that the cross is an offense to the righteousness of man. The cross says that “all have sinned” (Romans 3:23). It decrees that every person, marred by sin, must be remade. It is more than pardon, for forgiveness cancels the old wrong but leaves a man where he is morally. It is even more than justification, for justification makes a man judicially worthy in the sight of God. The cross means life.

Prayer

Lord, forgive us for thinking that we can create our own righteousness. Help us to learn what it means to put our hope fully in Christ and to have life to the fullest. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

May The Good Lord Save Nigeria And Israel From All Our Enemies And Prosper Us Beyond Our Imaginations, In Jesus Christ Mighty Name We Pray, Amen!

Our Choices are never free of conflict

Your Choices are never free from conflict

Galatians 5:17

Many people believe that the end justifies the means. They say it is acceptable to compromise God‘s standards to get ahead. But the fact is we always lose when we violate God’s standards of righteousness. However, it is not always easy to do what is right.

I remember when we moved our headquarters from California to Florida. We had been unable to sell or lease some of our property in California. The buildings remained empty, yet every month we still had to make our mortgage payments.

Some successful Christian businessmen counseled me to default and allow the bank to repossess the property. Many businesses do this, and financially we would be far better off. But that would be wrong since we had signed a contract with the bank. We purposed to trust God to help us pay the bills and sell the property in a way that would honor Him.

Five years passed before we finally sold the property. Although making those payments was a financial hardship, God greatly blessed the ministry. Contributions dramatically increased year after year. I believe God blessed us because we ran the ministry His way.

If we had defaulted on our agreement we could have saved a lot of money, but we would have violated our word and our contract. It is never right to do wrong in order to get a chance to do right. Being righteous as God is righteous means making sacrifices and often saying “no” to the easy way out.

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!
