Joyce Meyer Teachings on Ministry and Platform

Joyce Meyer in one of her teachings, expounded on the difference between a PLATFORM and a MINISTRY. In her words, she said, not everyone has a platform but every child of God has a ministry. This is the absolute truth.

You have a Ministry. Begin to actualise your divine assignment and don’t wait for a platform. Visit the sick and lay hands on them. Visit the prison and encourage them. Visit orphanages and play with the children. Visit schools and teach them skills. Visit the area boys and begin a bible school for them under the bridge. Visit the widows in your family and put a smile on their faces. Gather girls who have been abused and reassure them of a great future. This is Ministry. You don’t need a microphone to do Ministry. When your ministry opens you up to a platform, appreciate it and make the best of it but do not drop your Ministry in the bid to have a platform.

Ministry is all around you. Make the best of your divine errands. You have an errand to run for God. Start your race today and stay focused. Don’t cross lane. Stay on your lane and don’t be distracted.

Behind every platform is a lot of Ministry. Those who have a platform will attest to this. A lot of Ministry is behind the scene. That is where the real work is. Ministry most times, outlives platforms. When you have the two, honour God with it. It is dangerous to have a platform without doing Ministry.

My dear, You have a Ministry! We all have a Ministry. Let’s all run with our Ministry and there will be no need for competition and comparisons.

Always remind yourself, I HAVE A MINISTRY!

In serving others, whatever a man sows, he will also reap

Hebrews_11-6: But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him

In your pursuit to render service, you should be excellent in your delivery, being conscious of the Lord’s instruction in our opening scripture. Whatever you do for others to make their lives easier and more comfortable is unto the Lord. Therefore, it’s a great disservice to other citizens and the nation as a whole when your acts of service which should benefit them are rendered shabbily.

Understand that you’re part of a nation, and whatever service you render in politics, public service or in the private sector, to bring succor to others is a seed sown. Galatians 6:7 tells us, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” It’s like the story of a man who entrusted his son-in-law to execute a building project he had sufficiently financed. On completion, he execitedly asked the son-in-law if the house was top notch. “O, yes it is! We used the best materials and employed the best labour for the project,” answered the son-in-law. He then presented the house keys to his father-in-law, who received them and lovingly presented them back to him saying, “Take, the house is actually my gift to you!”

 

 

 

 

 

Surprisingly, rather than being ecstatic with joy, the young man’s countenance dropped. Bemused at his downcast and crestfallen son-in-law, the man asked, “What’s the matter? Don’t you like the house?” The young man, in his pitiful state then narrated to his father-in-la how he had used inferior and substandard labour to build the house. It wasn’t such a good house as he had claimed. He discovered to his regret that all the while he was building the house, he was actually building it for himself, and had cheated himself.

When you’re assigned to execute a task or project, do it excellently, whether or not you’re being monitored. This is because in serving others, you’re directly or indirectly improving your life. Never let inordinate passion to amass wealth propel you to render questionable service that’ll endanger the lives of others, or make the nation run a loss. Who knows, the victim of that collapsed building, fake drugs, bad roads etc, might just be a relative, loved one or the fellow who should save your life or that of your offspring in future. Whatever task or assignments you’ve set yourself to carry out, do it well, for at the end you’ll discover you did it for yourself.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father! I thank You for the opportunity to serve people. I carry out my responsibilities with excellence, virtue, timeliness and precision, having in mind tht every service I render is a seed sown and therefore my harvest is inevitable, in Jesus’s Christ Name, Amen!
