Thank You Jesus! Thank You Father! Our Maker, our shield, our sufficiency, our yesterday, our today, our tomorrow, our forever, hallowed be Your name. Thank You for Your presence in our midst today, thank You for all that You’ve done for us in time past, Father we have come again this morning, we are here because we knew that You will be here, thank You for honoring us with Your presence; Father thank You for Your word that You’re going to speak to us, thank You for Your leading in our lives, Your hand upon us; thank You for Your Spirit, thank You for everything.

Lord God of heaven, we ask this morning like never before, please speak to us, give us understanding, glorify Your name in us now and ever in the mighty name of Jesus. Praise the living Jesus!

I welcome everyone to the presence of the Most High this morning; I want to acknowledge life, that I’m standing here is only by the grace of God and I thank God for that, and I know it’s the same for you, for every one of us, so we thank God for life. I would like to acknowledge in his absence, our father in the Lord, the APICR of Region 11 for giving me this opportunity to share the word today, thank you daddy, God bless you in the name of Jesus.

Before we go into the word today, I would like to make two announcements – the first one is the prayer chain; tomorrow by the grace of God, our prayer chain, the topic is ‘The Supernatural Help’, our text is taken from Psalm 121: 1 – 8; then the second announcement is around our Evening of Hymns, everybody will receive a copy of this by the grace of God after this service as we’re going out, please if you need more than one, take it, the idea is to give other people and use it to invite, we are inviting you, so you go out and invite other people, it’s a provincial program and we want as many people to be part of this program especially here, it’s the first of its kind, it’s inaugural, please come. Evening of Hymns, Sunday 22nd at 4 pm, it will not take time, maximum 2 and a half hours so that you still have time for late in the evening and also to prepare for Monday, and the dress code is white, but please let nobody say I won’t come because I don’t have white, a touch of white or even if there’s no white please come, the white around will whiten you, hallelujah!

So we go into the message for today, please turn with me to Psalm 23 – by the way, the hymn and the choir ministration already prepared a ground for my message, so thank God for what He’s doing; “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord today, tomorrow, this week, this month, this year, forever more, praise the Lord!

The topic before us this morning is Who is Leading You?, please ask your neighbor who is leading you? You know it’s easy to ask somebody a question, now ask yourself, who is leading me? The other way to look at it is who are you following? And then who am I following? Many of us know about following – I’m following this person on Instagram, who are you following?

Quick definitions – to lead is to guide on a way, especially by going in advance; to lead is to guide, to lead is to direct on a course or in a direction; and to follow is the other side of it, to move or to come after a person or something that is already going ahead. So if you take the first one, who is leading you, you’re looking at who is guiding you, who is directing you; if you say who are you following, that is who is ahead that you are coming behind from, praise the living Jesus!

So this message, who is leading you, it suggests that there is someone that is going ahead of you that you are following, that you’re coming after; the message is to stimulate us to hold on fast onto our Christian journey, taking after the One that is going before us, is also to help us to direct the steps for those who are following in the wrong direction to help us realign, it will also encourage those who have not even started at all and they are wondering where are they going to get on the track and start this same journey.

By the grace of God, in the course of this message we’ll look at a few lessons and if time will permit we’ll close it today; so the first lesson is that everyone is following somebody, there’s at least one person next to you, everyone is following even though we all want to be leaders in our respective vocations, circles or ministry, in everything that we do, the truth is that we are following someone else, at least we are all being led and as a result we’re also being influenced to do what we are doing. In 1 Corinthians 11:1, Apostle Paul says be ye followers of me, even as I am also of Jesus Christ; he’s saying you are my followers, but even me I’m following Jesus, hallelujah!

Under this first lesson, Ecclesiastes 3: 11-13 tells us that God makes everything beautiful in His own time, and in verse 12 it says that there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can; as long as we can therefore says that the life that we have is a journey as long as we can. There is a journey, this journey is full of uncertainties, on this journey we are faced with a lot of decision- making situations, decisions like today should I come to church, what dress should I wear; sometimes on this journey it feels like we’re on the mountain, everything is working, economy is increasing, businesses are doing well, bonuses are coming in, dividends are flying in every now and then, the children are doing well in school, business as well, promotions every month, like we’re on the mountain.

And some other times on this journey it’s like we’re in the valley, like nothing is working, what’s happening in this economy, what’s happening to our business, what’s happening in our marriage, what’s happening to my finances, where am I going, what’s tomorrow looking like, it’s like we are in the valley.

And some other times it feels like a war zone, every now and then you have to war, you have to do something; and some other times is like it’s peace like a river, it’s the journey of life, it’s quite easy to get carried away, perhaps to lose it or to become overly excited when it feels like we’re on the mountain, and also when it feels like we’re in the valley it’s also so easy to say God where are You, where’s Your face, and also to lose it, this underscores the need for us to follow someone or to be led by someone who knows the way or who knows where it will all end.

Then like every other journey the journey of life has a terminal point, has a final destination, hallelujah! Ephesians 3: 1 & 2, to everything there is a season, and every activity under the heavens has a time. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to harvest; so there is a final destination to this journey, and when I said the final destination, it even goes beyond just the going away from here, if you are following a leader who knows that at the end of this, because there’s a final destination there will be accountability, even in the course of the journey of life as you are following him, the leader also is preparing you to become accountable.

But if you are following a leader who feels that after this there’s nothing else, let’s all end it here, it will also reflect in the way we live and then we live as if there’s no care, live carelessly, desperately, recklessly as if it will all end here, but there’s a destination and what is this destination, the final destination of this journey is not just when we close our eyes and there’s no breath again, the final destination of this journey is in eternity, either eternal life or eternal damnation.

So if there is a leader who thinks that there’s nothing about eternal life, it says let us finish it here, but a leader who knows that there is still accountability afterwards says live your life in such a way that when you transit then you will make the best of it, hallelujah! Therefore, every man, every woman needs a leader; every man, every woman needs a guide in this journey of life.

In Acts 8, there is a story there that many of us are familiar with; there was an Ethiopian eunuch, he was reading the Bible and the Spirit of the Lord led Philip and said ‘go to him’, and as soon as Philip got to him, he greeted him and said do you understand what you are reading? And the eunuch says how will I understand when there is no one that will share with me, that’s from verses 32 – 35; and the example of this eunuch is like our lives, many people go through life but the question is do you understand this life that you are journeying on?

The truth is that we do not know except there is somebody that will interpret it to us; many of us are living, there is this Yoruba saying that ‘aba ni ikan n da, ikan kan o le mo apata’, what does that mean, ikan is termite, anytime when we see termites hill we say these things are beautiful, it wasn’t because they are intelligent, they were just trying and it turned out to become a termite hill, praise the Lord! So many people without a guide, without a leader in life will just be living life and end up anywhere.

In Luke 6:39, the Bible says “Can the blind lead the blind?” The answer is simple, to the extent that the road is straight, the blind who is leading will continue, but when he also gets to a point where it’s difficult, he falls, the person following him falls also, that underscores the fact that we need a leader, somebody who knows the way.

Lesson number two, that every one of us will therefore have to choose a leader, this choice may be by default, you do nothing, a leader will be imposed on you and you know that leader that will be imposed on you if you do nothing; you do something, you are deliberate about following a leader then he leads you in the way. There are three possible options of leaders on this journey of life; it could be a man, can be the devil and it can also be God, praise the living Jesus!

Many people pattern their lives after a man, they look at a man and say this man is successful, I want to be like him, do you know who he’s following? That’s why you find many people successful out there in the eyes of the world but to God they are not, and then you find that one CEO of this global all over the world one day wakes up and committed suicide at age 42 and you wonder ‘ah, but everything was going well’, it’s because he’s a man who is going on a journey alone and does not know where it will end and he doesn’t know where to go, praise the living Jesus!

Many of these leaders also position themselves over us so that you don’t see any other person; leaders, please if people are following us as everybody has somebody also following, let us also lead them after the One that we are following who we’ll soon see very shortly.

In 2 Samuel 15: 11-13, is the story of Absalom; Absalom was the first son of David, he was very charismatic, he created a kingdom in a kingdom; while his father was a king, he would tell people anytime you want to see the king come to me first, let us talk about it and he will counsel them, he’ll tell them what to do, even maybe possibly resolve them so they don’t need to go to the king. Over time he acquired fame, was very charismatic, then one day he decided that he too can become king now, so he chose to go with 50 horsemen, but 250 people followed him, guess what, one of the advisers of his father followed him, what did they see, a charismatic Absalom, but what happened to Absalom at the end of the day, he died abruptly because he was going nowhere, because he was just a man walking and a lot of people queued behind him.

Brethren, let us be mindful of who the leader that we follow is; if you are following a man, I’m not saying don’t follow any man because everybody must follow a man, but follow a man that is following a leader who knows the way, praise the living Jesus! The reason is that sometimes also the heart of man is deceitful and desperately wicked, who would have thought in Genesis 4 that Cain would lead his brother and when they got to the field he invited his brother, come let’s go to the field and he killed him there, that’s a leader, somebody was following him and he killed him, the heart of man can be deceitful, praise the living Jesus!

There was this story about four years ago, I think a few of us will remember it, some school students – four of them, girls, left the school under the understanding that they were going to see the uncle of one of them, so they went with the taxi, when they got there and they finished, only three came back into the taxi, so the taxi driver was curious and was like where is the fourth person, I think he didn’t get a good answer, out of the curiosity of course he blew the alarm and they found that the other three had actually conspired to go and donate her to an herbalist, so the supposed uncle was a herbalist and they wanted to use her to make money, that’s a leader, the heart of man is deceitful and desperately wicked, praise the living Jesus!

The second type of leader is the devil, Satan; the devil as we know is on the prowl to populate his final destination, he doesn’t want to be alone. In 1 Peter 5:8, the Bible says be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour; the only thing that the devil is interested in are the people that he will roast, he is very cunning, he comes in a very cunning way.

Genesis 3:1-6, we know the story, the serpent went to Eve, he did not say don’t do what God asked you to do, he said did God ask you not to eat any of these trees, did God ask you not to eat anything at all? Then she said no, God said we should eat everything except this one; see where he started from, he said no, even that one you can eat it, nothing will happen, try it, you will see you’ll be like God – deceitful, cunning, that’s the devil, and what was he interested in, he found that God was having a daily relationship, communion with man and he was envious, he needed to destroy that, he couldn’t stand the fact that the position he lost, somebody else has taken that position, hallelujah!

He comes like a spirit of wrong counsel, he leads people – his captive to do the wrong thing and he’s the same person that will go and blow alarm before God and say see the person You want to bless, see what he’s doing. In 1 Kings 13, there was this story of the old prophet and the new prophet, God has given the new prophet an instruction, go, deliver my message, don’t eat anything, don’t go into any house, turn back and go back to Jerusalem, and he was already doing that until an old prophet came to him and said even me I’m a prophet like you now, just as you were going, an angel told me that I should ask you to come back – spirit of lie.

And then he went supposedly to a prophet like himself, and as soon as they were on the table eating, the Bible says then the real Spirit of God now took over that old prophet and prophesied that because he disobeyed God he would not make it back home, and indeed he did not make it back home because on his way a lion attacked him and he was torn to pieces, he was killed, nobody could touch his carcass, everybody came there and saw it, because the devil wanted to roast somebody, that’s who the devil is as a leader, I’m trying to expose the devil, he makes his followers to feel very comfortable that even in the wrong, that it’s the right thing they are doing; they are doing the wrong things but he wants them to be comfortable they are doing the right thing, how?

2 Corinthians 4:4, the Bible says the God of this air has blinded their mind, so what he does is that because sometimes we are wondering can’t this person see that this is wrong, they can no longer see because the god of the air has blinded their mind so they could not see it again, so they will be doing the wrong thing until whatever is used to block their mind is taken.

In the Book of Acts 7, a young man called Saul was part of the people who were there when they were killing Stephen, he was an apprentice so when they were doing it they gave him the clothes, you watch over our clothes, then he graduated in chapter 8; the Bible says that he now began to persecute so much that the Christians began to scatter; and then in Acts 9, on his way to Damascus to do the same thing that he has perfected over time, then God arrested him and then that which the devil has used to blind his mind was taken away and he saw the light and the Saul became Paul who became the greatest apostle of this new testament. I pray if there’s anyone here today whose mind the devil has blinded, the Lord Almighty will visit you this morning and He will lift whatever veil the devil has put on you in the mighty name of Jesus.

So who is the third leader that we can consider? The third leader is God, our Lord Jesus Christ, who is He? He is the way, so when we are talking about the journey of life and somebody introduced Himself in John 14:6, says ‘I am the way’, if He’s the way, mind you, none of the other people have come to tell us that they are the way, so they couldn’t lie about that, there can be only one way, so the One who says I’m the way truly is the one to follow because He knows where to take you, hallelujah!

He is the light of the world; in John 9:5 the Bible says as long as I am in the world I am the light of the world’, what does it mean? The world is like a dark place, if you don’t know what you are doing you’ll be groping in the dark, but if you have the light of the world as part of your journey, He illuminates your path and then you can see more clearly, praise the living Jesus!

I remember many years ago, I was working in an organization where the only thing that you can predict they will do is that they will lie, the only thing that is predictable is that they will do it wrong, so it was like running against an institution. So one day one of the top executives called me, he said Tunde, I’ve watched you, this your God just continue to serve Him; he said you are like a man whose eyes were covered, blindfolded, and they left you to go on a landmine and you navigated in such a way that you did not detonate any of those. They wanted you to do something but it never happened but you did not know that they were plotting behind you; because there is somebody who is called the Light, even in the darkness of the world the light will take you through. I pray for you today, it does not matter what you are going through, in the mighty name of Jesus the light of the world will shine for you in the name of Jesus.

He’s the Author and Finisher of our faith, the meaning of that is that He was there when you were created; Author, He knows why you were created, He knows where you are supposed to be at a certain time, so if you are not there if He’s the One leading you, He will tell you you need to be here. He knows when you will run into troubles and He has a solution for your trouble because the Bible says right from the foundation of the world His works are known unto Him, so He knows when there will be problem and He has solutions to your problem, so if you are not following this person, life will be suboptimal.

He’s the Bread of Life; what does that mean? He’s the Sustainer, when you get to a point where you are famished, lack of ideas, lack of the will, lack of zeal to go, the Bread of Life is there to sustain you, the Bread of Life is there to energize you, the Bread of Life is there to keep you going; He’s the Bread of Life, John 6: 35, I am the Bread of Life, praise the living Jesus!

Then He knows your struggles, He sees your challenges, He knows them, He has passed through similar challenges when He was here, He can fix them, He knows your name, He knows your every breath, He knows when you rise up, when you are doing well, He knows when you are down. In Exodus 3:10, the Bible says, and the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people (God knows), and I have come to deliver them, hallelujah!

Who is this God? He is full of compassion and love, even when you are already following a bad leader, because of His love and compassion He will still come to you, praise the living Jesus! Psalm 145:8, the Bible says the Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; He’s slow to anger, and great in mercy; Lamentations 3:22, His compassions they fail not, because they are renewed every day; what you did yesterday He wrote it off, you started on a clean slate today.

To round it off, He’s all powerful, He can do all things; if you’re in the valley, His hands are long enough to go there and bring you out; if you are in trouble, His hands are long enough to keep you; if you are going through tough times, He’s able to unwind situations to work in your favor.

Proverbs 21: 1, the heart of kings and men are in the hands of God and He can fashion it like rivers of water to favor His children; He’s the creator of the whole universe; Psalms 62:1, once He has spoken, twice I have heard, power belongs to Him.

So lesson number three, now we’ve seen that we need leaders, now we know the leaders, those who can lead, your success or otherwise in life and your final destination is a function of who is leading you, do we agree with that? Your success or otherwise in life, one, and your final destination whether eternal life or eternal damnation is a function of who is leading you. The devil does not know any other place to go, he knows that he will end up in hell, the end of the devil is the lake of fire, the only place the devil can lead anybody to is the same place because he doesn’t know anything better; if it’s a man that is leading you a man will get to the middle of the road and then say I don’t know where else to turn to, so the person will be stranded.

If you are following a man, there will be disappointment; if you follow the devil, there will be shame, there will be pain, there will be injury, there will be afflictions; but if you follow God, Jesus Christ, you are bound not only to enjoy this life but also enjoy the life that comes after, hallelujah!

So brethren, I bring before you this morning the Lord Jesus Christ who is the real deal, He’s the real deal, compassionate and loving, He’s a guide of life and He covers our back in the battles of life.

We have a few examples in the scripture, Moses; Moses was born under circumstances that were very questionable but then God protected him, it was God that led his mother to go and throw him in water, it was God that led the daughter of Pharaoh to come at that same time, it was God that led her to pick him to the palace, it was God that led Pharaoh not to say this is not mine, look at his color, but in spite of that they raised him; it was God that led him to go to Median, it was God that led him back to lead the people. A life that is led by God is a life of success, a life that is led by God is a life of victory, hallelujah!

Another example is Judas Iscariot; even though the Master says I will help you, Judas Iscariot says I have another leader and the leader gave him an idea, I will make you rich quick, how about giving you 30 shekels of silver; he said ah, that’s a lot of money, but you have to do something simple for me, (you know how the devil does, he pushes people first on a slope where you can’t come back again); he says all you just need to do is identify your Master; haha, that’s a simple thing now, I will do it for you, but unknown to him as soon as he did it guilt took him over which was devil’s plan to slaughter him, you can see the different leaders, praise the living Jesus!

What determines or how do you know who is your leader or what determines who your leader will be? One point, the spirit that is in you determines who is leading you. Romans 6:16, know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? If you yield your body and say Satan you are the master, lead me, then that is because that’s your spirit, that’s who leads you, but if the spirit that says I’m after Jesus Christ, that’s the One that will lead you, so what is your choice today brethren?

Are you going to take salvation or are you going to harden your heart? Hebrews 3:7 & 8 says don’t harden your heart today; don’t harden your heart when the call comes; are you going to live in righteousness or to continue to live in sin? Hebrews 1:9, God has loved righteousness and hated iniquity, so if you want to follow God you need to love what He loves – righteousness. How does God lead? God is the same forever, brethren, He does not change; there’s this song ‘He changeth not’, He doesn’t change, Arugbo ojo, Ancient of days who remains the same forever’.

Hebrews 13:8, Jesus Christ yesterday and today and forever; Malachi 3:6, I am the Lord, I change not, and that’s why ye sons of Jacob are not consumed; He changes not, so His methods and ways remains the same.

So how does God lead? By His Spirit, of course we know if your spirit determines who you follow, then He leads by His Spirit. John 4:24, the Bible says God is Spirit, you want to follow God, your spirit must communicate with His Spirit. How does God lead? Through His word; for example you are hearing the word this morning, Psalm 119: 105, your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path; Psalm 119:11, your word have I hid in my heart so that I will not sin against you. How does He lead? By speaking; Samuel, Samuel, Samuel, speak Lord – by speaking.

How does He lead? He uses signs; Moses got into the field and saw bush burning but not consumed. How does He lead? Through dreams and visions; Paul had a dream in Acts 22 and he knew that even though there will be shipwreck there will be no loss of life.

Benefits, when God leads you what do you stand to gain? When out of these three possible leaders you choose God, what do you stand to gain?

Number one, when God leads you, you know that you can never miss the way because He is the way. When the way leads you you’re already on the way, you can never miss; so this issue of life, you get to one point they said you are going to start again, you get to one point they say things are no longer working, brethren, when God is leading you, because He’s the way you can never miss the way.

When God is leading you what people struggle with you will do it effortlessly. Genesis 24, Abraham sent Eliezer, go and get a wife for my son, big task, but it must be from this, this and this, but because God was leading, God positioned everything, in one minute everything was done. From today in the mighty name of Jesus, those things that you are struggling with, as God begins to lead you, effortlessly you will make results in the mighty name of Jesus.

When God is leading you, you will surely reach your destination. When a man is leading you he gets to one point and says I don’t know where to go again and then all of you are stranded in the middle. When the devil is leading you, he takes you off tangent away from your destination; but when God is leading you, He knows the reason why you were created, He takes you through that path until you get to the end, you cannot miss it when God is leading you, hallelujah!

When God is leading you, you shall not lack any good thing. That passage we read from, Psalm 23, the Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want, (why?) Because He makes me to lie down in green pastures, (abundance), and He leads me. When God is leading you, He will give you the grace to please Him. Psalm 23:3 says and he restores my soul, so every time your soul is weakened He gives you strength again to continue. When God is leading you, divine provision and overflowing provision shall be order of the day; verse 5 says you prepare the table in the presence of my enemies and overflow, when God is leading you that is it.

When God is leading you it shall be blessing forever; verse 6, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days, that’s what happens when God is leading you, hallelujah!

Brethren, in summary, this our month of divine favor, do you know that to have God leading you is favor? Exodus 33:13 & 14, now therefore I pray thee, if I have found grace; another translation says favor in thy sight, show me the way, meaning lead me, and then God said in the next verse, I will not only lead I will go with you, hallelujah! So when God is leading you, you’ll find favor and you will exhibit the character of the person that leads you: if it is God you will show the kind of God, if it’s the other way you will show the fruits of the other way.

Your success in life brethren, is determined by who is leading you; He doesn’t give unconditionally, God doesn’t give unconditionally; when you follow man it ends in disappointment; if you follow the devil it ends in disaster, but if you follow God He takes you to a brighter tomorrow, praise the living Jesus!

The devil knows where he’s going, so anybody who is following the devil, the only way the devil can succeed in leading anyone is by deceit, is by lies, is by manipulation, and shrouding things in darkness because every reasonable person knows what is good and what is bad but the devil had to now use those things, hallelujah! But God is open, praise the living Jesus!

Jesus Christ is the way to the Father, we established that already, let us be sure that we take the right decision today brethren, as to who is leading you. If God is leading you, you will have a successful life and after this life you will end up in eternal life; if the devil is leading you, the devil will give one and take 10, that’s how the devil operates; he gave Judas Iscariot 30 shekels he took his life, if God is leading you, even after this life, John 14: 1-3, He said I have gone to prepare a place for you and then I will come back to take you, so that the place where I am there you will be also, praise the living Jesus!

However brethren, the first step to have God to lead you is to surrender to God; that passage we read from said to whom you yield your spirit or your body, that’s the one that you will obey; you must first yield your body to God, you must first yield, when you yield you surrender to Him and say from today I put my hands in Your hands, lead me, He will lead you gladly, He’s waiting for you.

So before we go to pray I would like as many of us who are here, you are not sure who is leading you, three different categories: you are not sure who is leading you, to be very sure come and accept Jesus, surrender your life to Him; the second category is you know and you know who is leading you, you know it’s not God, it’s either a man who doesn’t know where he’s going or the devil, you know in your heart of heart, please come and surrender your life. And the third category, if like Judas Iscariot, once you followed God but then when the allure of life flashed into your eyes you went back and took the offer of the devil, come back home.

If you are here this morning you want to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, you want to start life afresh, you want to anchor yourself into the real deal – Jesus Christ…

[Altar call]

Brethren let us rise up, let’s begin to pray, our first prayer is a prayer of thanksgiving, let us pray and say Father, I thank You, I thank You Lord for Your favor, I thank You for Your mercy, I thank You for Your leading; thank You heavenly Father, glory be to Your name forever more, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Interestingly when our mommy was preaching about two weeks ago, she made reference to a song, ‘I have decided to follow Jesus’, so after doing everything yesterday night, I didn’t even know, from nowhere that song just came, I said ah okay, so maybe this is the season for that song. So I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back, that’s going to be our next prayer point because the meaning of having God to lead you is saying I have decided to follow Jesus, what happened to Judas Iscariot will not happen to me in the mighty name of Jesus.

So we are going to pray: Father in the name of Jesus, please help me to follow You and You alone from today and forever; help me oh Lord that I will not go back, I will not go back into the world; help me oh Lord to follow You, Father please lead me all through life in the mighty name of Jesus. Thank You heavenly Father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Finally, I want us to take a prayer point for our nation; Father, please visit our nation, visit our leaders, whatever You will need to do let them follow You, let us turn that to prayer points.

Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that Your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your Will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Hymn 620. God moves in a mysterious way

God moves in a mysterious way

His wonders to perform;

He plants His footsteps in the sea,

And rides upon the storm.

2:

Deep in unfathomable mines

Of never failing skill

He treasures up His bright designs,

And works His sovereign will.

3:

Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take!

The clouds ye so much dread

Are big with mercy, and shall break

In blessings on your head.

4:

Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,

But trust Him for His grace;

Behind a frowning providence

He hides a smiling face.

5:

His purposes will ripen fast,

Unfolding every hour;

The bud may have a bitter taste,

But sweet will be the flower.

6:

Blind unbelief is sure to err,

And scan His work in vain;

God is His own interpreter,

And He will make it plain.

If you don’t Know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour and would like to accept him into your life as your personal Lord and Saviour, Please say this prayer:

Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from You. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward You. Beloved, Is Jesus In Your Boat?

MEDITATE ON THIS

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding” [PROVERBS 3:5].

WELCOME TO A GLORIOUS NEW WEEK. ENSURE THAT IN ALL YOU DO OR UNDERTAKE, JESUS CHRIST IS AT THE CENTRE OF IT AND YOUR SHIP WILL BE SECURE

Have you ever been on a journey and the opposition against your progress was so intense that you felt you would never get to your destination? If your answer is yes, then know that you are not alone. Life is like embarking on a journey to a destination. Every trip has its obstacles and hurdles. While on a journey, the disciples of Jesus Christ once found themselves in this kind of tough situation.

It was so bad that they felt their boat was going to sink. In fact, water was already entering their boat, and going by all they saw, it appeared nothing could be done. If you are facing a similar situation today, simply make this confession to yourself: my boat cannot sink, I shall reach my goal and nothing can stop my trip in Jesus Christ mighty and matchless name! Amen!

Why will my boat not sink? The reason is because Jesus Christ is in the boat of my life. Nobody and nothing can “swallow the ship the ship where lies the Master of ocean and earth and skies,” a song – writer declared. The greatest mistake you can is to embark on a journey without Jesus in your boat. It is important to note here that you have Jesus Christ in the boat of your life, which you can do by receiving Him as your Lord and personal Saviour.

In addition to this, you should also have Him in the boat of your endeavours. Do you know that if Jesus is in the boat of your life but not in the boat of your personal endeavours, those projects or plans can sink? Many believers today take it for granted that because they are saved, automatically they will scale through any rough waters, including projects in which they did not involve the Lord.

This is not faith but presumption. If you are a believer in Christ Jesus and you go ahead to start a business, a home or a career without God’s involvement, you are on your own. This is why the meditation of today says you should trust God and not depend on your limited understanding. Even when Jesus appears to be asleep in your boat, as long as He is in your boat, He is still in control.

Hence PSALM 121:4 says, “Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”

Is God silent over your situation? Does it appear that He is unaware of what you are going through? Do you feel abandoned by God or even doubt whether He really loves you? Friend, be comforted! God still loves. He cares so much for you [1 PETER 5:7]. He empathises with you in that present situation you are faced with, and He will surely make a way for you.

Dearly beloved, in spite of how you feel, God is still in control. In spite of how distant God appears to be, God is right in the middle of your situation to bring you out [MATTHEW 8:23-27; PSALM 37:3-5]. It does not matter what is happening around you, the Lord is in control. Very soon, you will testify of His intervention.

Dearly beloveth, any faith you exercise that is full of hope and great expectations but puts Jesus Christ at the back burner is presumption and not faith.

Remain firmly rooted in Christ Jesus blessed, saved, safe, redeemed, sanctified and always rapturable in Jesus name Amen Shalom.

ENJOY A BLESSED, GLORIOUS AND FRUITFUL WEEK IN JESUS NAME

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome teaches: Prove God’s limitless power and abundant provision in your life through faith, not begging or desperation.

Prove GOD in Your Life

Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me (Jeremiah 32:27).

By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. Dd.

As a child of God, never find yourself in situations of desperation or lack where you’re constrained to beg. Even in prayer, God doesn’t want you to beg Him; He has honoured you too much for that. Instead, take your rightful place as His heir. Embrace your position as a child of the monarch of the universe; honoured, dignified and glorified.

The challenge with some folks is that they think about the size of their problems instead of putting their focus on the Lord. What you need is to prove God in your life. Observe what He says in Malachi 3:10, “…prove me now herewith….” Prove Him and see; He’s not intimidated by the greatness of your need.

It reminds me of an encounter with a certain lady who was born with a blood condition. She had come to see me, and as she spoke, she described her “overwhelming” condition, how serious it had been and how it had defied all medical efforts. As I listened to her, I thought, “All it would take to change her life is a few seconds and a few words.”

Immediately, I said to her, “In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, you’re made whole,” and that was it; she was healed. A couple of weeks later, she did all the medical tests and there was no trace of the sickness in her body anymore. Trust God with your life. Do your part, and He will do His part. He’s more willing and enthusiastic for your success than you could ever be for yourself.

That’s why when you pray, don’t plead or act as though He’s reluctant to bless you. Jesus said in Matthew 7:11, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” Simply exercise your faith, and trust in the Lord, for He loves you more than you love yourself, and He’s more than able to sustain you in the realm of superabundance. Prove Him in your life.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for your Word, which assures me of your limitless power and abundant provisions. I trust you completely with my life, knowing that my needs are within your supply system. I declare boldly that I’m abundantly supplied, walking in the realms of superabundance, in Jesus Christ Mighty Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY

Psalm 37:25, I have been young, and [now] am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Malachi 3:10; Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].

Luke 11:9-13; And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if [he ask] a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall [your] heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Hebrews 13:5-6 AMPC; Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] 6 So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?

The Lord that Answers Prayers

Preacher: Pastor. Tunde Netufo

The favor of the Lord will surround you like a shield; it will cover you from now on; the power of God will keep erupting in your life, making way for you now and always in the mighty name of Jesus. God will bless you today, He will make you bigger – physically, spiritually, in your finances, you’ll be bigger, you’ll be stronger, you will be mightier, in the mighty name of Jesus.

God will make you happier than you came at the end of this service in the name of Jesus; He will wipe away every tears, He will answer every prayers, every prayer you pray from today the Lord will answer in the mighty name of Jesus. Today will mark the beginning of your rising, God will lift you up, He will bless you, He will defend you, He will grant you divine enablement, He will take you from power to power, from grace to grace and from victory to victory, and of the increase of your celebration there shall be no end, so shall it be, in the name of God the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Praise the Lord!

Good morning daddies and mommies, good morning brothers and sisters, we are all welcome to this glorious service in Jesus name. Firstly, let me thank the Almighty God for this opportunity to come together again; I want to appreciate the choristers for a job well done this morning, God has used you to set the tone for this service and I can assure you it shall be glorious in Jesus name; His power will keep on erupting in our life positively and of course the fire of the Holy Spirit shall be in our soul in the name of Jesus.

By the grace of God we’ll be having our prayer chain tomorrow, 6:30 p.m, and the topic for tomorrow is the “Mighty Hand of God”, Isaiah 41: 10. I pray that you will experience the mighty hand of God in every area of your life in the name of Jesus Christ.

Today is the last Sunday in the month of March and that speaks to the fact that we are making progress on a daily basis as we continue our journey to the year 2025; one thing that is very sure is the fact that the good Lord who has started the good work will surely complete it, so be rest assured of the fact that it’s going to be honky glory for you regardless of what the economic these things are saying, one thing the Bible has assured us is that I was young, now I’m old, yet I’ve not seen the righteous forsaken nor the children begging bread, you will not beg for food in the name of Jesus.

Psalm 65: 1 & 2, today we will share the word and we’ll pray, the last Sunday is what we always refer to as our super Sunday or renewal Sunday and we always like to share the word and pray accordingly, and once again I thank God for the choir whom God has used to set the tone for the service of today. Psalm 65 1 & 2 says praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Zion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed. 2O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.

This morning, I’ll be sharing with us something that we talked about a few weeks back during one of the prayer chains, and our pastors have considered it necessary for us to share it with a larger house so that we can all be educated and of course we can all benefit from it, so this morning I’ll be talking to us on “The Lord that Answers Prayers”.

In Joel 2:32, it says and it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered (if you want to say amen today, please say amen with all your mind); and also in Acts of Apostles 2:21, it says and it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. I decided to give you a few scriptures just to lay the foundation for what we have come to do today; David, in our text, that is Psalm 65, praised God for hearing prayers and of course for forgiving sins, the scripture also expresses the fact that God is the source of blessing and satisfaction for those who follow His will, and that is why I pray for every one of you under the influence of my voice this morning that God will satisfy you because you are here today in the mighty name of Jesus.

From the pages of the scriptures, it is quite clear that God delights to answer certain specific prayers, and these kind of prayers are not usually the long ones, and I remember the day we first talked about this, I told them that when you go through the Bible, the Bible is replete with accounts of God answering prayers but you will agree with me that most of the time, the prayers that God answered are not the ones that were prayed for 10 hours, the prayers that God answered were not the ones that were prayed for 24 hours, and the fact that you come to God with a long list of prayer requests is not a guarantee that God will answer your prayers. I am not saying you should not pray long prayers, after all Jesus Christ, the Bible made us to understand that He prayed in Garden of Gethsemane to the extent that the sweat that was coming out of His body was like a drop of blood, but again when you go through the scriptures you’ll find out that most of the prayers that God answered were prayers that were made in specific times, they were short and potent prayers.

In Psalm 145: 18, the Lord is nigh unto all of them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth. God will answer the prayers of those who call upon Him provided you call upon Him in truth; there are many of us when we come to the presence of God we come with a long list of prayers such that even after the prayers if you are called and asked what and what have you prayed for, many of us have forgotten and we have forgotten simply because the list is so long, but I want to tell you this that when we face crisis we cannot engage in long repetitive prayers just as we do today, our prayer contents must be based on the word of God.

In Matthew 6: 7, the Bible says but when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard by their much speaking. When you talk about the heathen you talk about unbelievers, when you talk about heathen you talk about those who are lacking in faith, but here, Jesus was telling the disciple when ye pray use not vain repetitions; when Peter was yearning as he walked on water, he did not have the time to pray a long prayer, what was his prayer, ‘Lord save me’, that you find in Matthew 14:30, but when he saw the winds boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, and he cried, saying, Lord, save me, how many of you want God to save you – to save you from failure, to save you from illness, to save you from rising and falling? Wave your hands unto the Lord and cry out to the Lord, Lord, please save me.

When you are in a state of emergency, I said it that you can hardly speak in tongues, praise the Lord! Have you been on air before, you’ve been on a plane and there was turbulence, what kind of prayer do you pray there? Do you say God I want to thank You because I am here? You’ll say God help me o. I shared one experience, I was flying (I think) from Houston to Dallas, I’ve never had that encounter and may I never have it, in fact I never thought I would survive that day, the drinks they served us, the snacks, the things were flying from one place to the other and I grabbed the seat, hey God help me o, it is when you don’t have problem you come with a long list.

Peter was walking on the waters and he was sinking and he shouted, he said Lord, save me. I remember another time I was flying from Abuja, former ADC, no sooner that the plane took off in Abuja and suddenly the man told us oh we are encountering a very serious storm, this and that and that, before he could finish making announcement, there was scatterings everywhere, myself and my group finance director were in there, the thing continued, the man now made an announcement all things being equal we will try to do – I said all things must be

equal; it is when you don’t have problems that you’ll pray to God, ‘provide clothes for me’, when you are in a mess like Peter, please save me, specific and direct.

Psalm 34:6 says the poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The Lord hears the prayers of the poor notwithstanding his economy status, God will always save those who cry unto Him for personal salvation and deliverance, I pray today in the mighty name of Jesus that for whatever it is, the Lord will save you in Jesus name.

In Psalm 50: 15, we are encouraged by no other than God Himself to cry to Him, He said call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and thou shall glorify me. I pray as we cry out to the Lord this morning, the Lord will hear and answer us and He will deliver us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Another important prayer that God earnestly cherishes in our lives is ‘Lord help me’; how many of you needs help? I pray that help will come through for you today. God responds to us when we need help brethren; in Isaiah 41:17, the Bible says when the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, (it says) and their tongue faileth for thirst, (He says) I the Lord will hear them, and I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I pray in the mighty name of Jesus, for as many of you that are in need today, God will hear you and He will not forsake you in the mighty name of Jesus. Brethren, God is committed to helping the helpless, when you ask the Lord for help He will surely respond with His succor and assistance.

Prayer for divine help is also one of the prayers that God delights to answer; in 2nd Chronicles 14: 11, and Asa cried unto the Lord his God, (how many of you will cry to the Lord your God this morning?) and said, Lord, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O Lord our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O Lord, thou art our God: let not man prevail against thee. King Asa and many others who sought divine help were helped in the scriptures. In Psalm 121:1, (if you read from verse one), David said I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help and my help cometh from the Lord which made the heaven and earth.

Brethren, God is still in the business of helping people because He’s the same yesterday, today and forever, and today I have that assurance and we have that great confidence that He will hear and answer all our prayers in the name of Jesus Christ.

Thirdly, God always delights in the prayer of lifting, in other words, when you pray to God ‘lift me’, God is ever ready to lift as many that call upon Him. In Psalm 113: 5 – 7, it says who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high. 6Who humbleth Himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth! 7He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill. Brethren, our God is a lifter of men, when we turn to Him, His lifting force is released; when you look up to Him, His lifting force will be given and so you will be lifted.

In Psalm 3:3, it says but thou, O Lord, are a shield for me; (it says) my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. Today I want to tell you that there is a tremendous space for you up there for God to lift you up, and as you cry unto Him for a lift today He will do that for you in Jesus name. Today, God will lift you up; from sorrow, He will lift you up; from death, He will lift you up; from shame, God will lift you up, and from sin He will lift you up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

He is the lifter of our heads and if He doesn’t, no one else can do it but God is committed to lifting us up and that takes us to another prayer that God delights to answer and that one is ‘God bless me’, the prayer of Jabez is very relevant, it wasn’t a long prayer, he simply asked God for blessings indeed and his life was transformed.

You know the story in 1 Chronicles 4: 9 & 10, the prayer of Jabez; and Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, because I bore him with sorrow. 10And Jabet called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou will bless me indeed; (how many of you will want God to bless you this morning, He will answer your prayer in Jesus name), and enlarge my coast, and that thine might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. You see Jabez did not go to God with two pages of prayer points, if you follow even our father in the Lord you’ll find out that his prayer points during the Holy Ghost  service, sometimes seven, maximum I’ve seen is maybe 9 – 10, when prayer points become too long you would not even know whether God  has answered them.

Jabez came before the Lord, he presented ‘if only you will bless me indeed, take away this problem, enlarge my coast’, and the Bible says the Lord granted his request. So today I’m sure you are learning something new and this will guide your prayer life moving forward that when you come to God, come with specifics and as you cry unto the Lord, He will bless you in the name of Jesus.

Brethren, one important thing that you need to know is that God cannot bless you and you will remain an ordinary man, there is no man that God has blessed that remains an ordinary man, iy pray today in the name of Jesus that the Lord will bless you, He will transform you in the mighty name of Jesus. There’s no way God intervenes in the life of a man that progress will not be made, the Bible tells us in Proverbs 20:22 that the blessings of the Lord maketh rich and add no sorrow to it.

The next one is the prayer of mercy; you know this is our month of mercy, God is always at alert to accede to such requests whenever they are made. In Mark 10: 46- 52, the Bible says and they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. 47And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. 48And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

49And Jesus stood still, (today Jesus will stand still at the voice of your cry in the mighty name of Jesus), and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. The same set of people that told him to keep quiet were the ones that delivered Jesus message, I pray that the same set of people who have been blocking you that will not allow you to enjoy the manifestation of God’s grace, they are the ones that will come and say your door has been open in the mighty name of Jesus. 50And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus. 51And Jesus answered and said unto him, what wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

You see there was no beating about the bush, he went straight and many of us today when we get to the place of prayer, we first and first we tell the story, God you know when this thing started in 1976, I was told my parents were not supposed to go to Ibadan but they went to Ibadan and that was the beginning of that trouble, what is God’s business with whether it will happen, what is important is that God wants to give you a solution. I pray today in the name of Jesus that God will meet you at the points of your needs in Jesus name; whether the problem happened in Benin or it happened in Ibadan or it happened in Akure is immaterial to God, one thing you can be sure of is the fact that today, an end has come to that problem in the mighty name of Jesus because the mercy of God will come through for you and the scripture says mercy triumph over judgment, even if that problem has crept into your life on account of sin, on account of carelessness, but by reason of God’s mercy and by reason of God’s presence in the house today, mercy will prevail in the name of Jesus and the problem shall be solved in the name of Jesus.

Lastly for today is ‘Lord, empower me’, how many of you wants empowerment? The Lord will empower you today. In Deuteronomy 8:18, the Bible says thou shall remember the Lord thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which is swore unto thy fathers, as it is this day. Brethren, when the Lord empowers a man, you will become an extraordinary and a supernatural being; difficult things becomes easy, impossible become possible, and I pray today in the mighty name of Jesus that the Lord will empower you in the name of Jesus Christ.

When the Lord empowers you, things that you could not do before you begin to do it, the Bible tells us in Acts 10:38, it says and how God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost with power: and He went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him, and I want to tell you today that just as God was with Jesus, that same God is with us, God is with you, tell your neighbors God is with you, and because God is with you, you can do the supernatural and I pray in the name of Jesus that today, whatever you ask to go will go, whatever you ask to come will come in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

I was sharing with workers and minister recently, you know we often say oh the spiritual controls the physical, but Apostle Paul disagreed, he said the physical controls the spiritual according to 1st Corinthians 15:46, and indeed when you think about it, Jesus Christ told His disciples whatever you bind on earth, earth is where you are – physical, it is the action you take here on earth that is confirmed in heaven; whatever you ask, whatever you bind on earth is what will be bound in heaven, whatever you loose on the earth will be loose in heaven, so there is power in your mouth, you are a carrier of power, you have authority, check, you can take authority over those spirit that operates in the spiritual places. It says howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. (it says) look, the physical thing comes before the spiritual, so don’t just allow yourself to be oppressed, don’t allow yourself to be harassed and say it’s happening in the spiritual realm, you can control the spiritual realm, whatever you bind on earth, look at the distance between the earth and heaven, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, so heaven also listens to what happens on the earth.

Shall we rise on our feet …

[Altar call]

We are going to pray five or six prayer points, we are going to do them very quickly, we are not going to embellish them, we are not going to paint them, we are not going to make them look so big because sometimes we make the problem so big, God Himself will be saying ki lo le to bayii nau, is it more than this? We want to pray and God will answer, but the first prayer you need to pray if you are here you have not given your life to Christ is a prayer of forgiveness, so I will just give you one minute if you are here just pray that prayer, Lord I’ve sinned against You, I’m not even worthy to be called Your child but for the sake of Your  mercy, for the fact that I’m here today please give me a second chance, overlook my righteousness, let Your mercy cover for me in the name of Jesus, let Your mercy prevail in my life, I promise You from today, I want to walk with You, I want a guarantee of answered prayers and by reason of my confession and my repentance today Father, write my name in the Book of Life, and from this moment, whatever I bind here on earth let it be bound in heaven, whatever I loose here on earth let it be loose in heaven, let me enjoy bliss, let me enjoy favor, let Your favor surround me as a shield and let Your name be glorified, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

How many of us have prayed that prayer? All eyes closed all heads bowed, very quickly because we want to pray, if you have prayed the prayer of forgiveness,

[Altar call]

The first prayer we are going to pray is the prayer of Peter; Peter, when he saw Jesus walking on the sea, he asked Jesus should I come? Jesus Christ said come, but the moment he saw himself walking on the sea and get to see that that consciousness that ah, this is Peter walking, he began to sink but he prayed one prayer very quickly, he said Lord please save me and God saved him. So you are going to cry to God this morning and say Father, please save me, in the name of Jesus. You know what you want God to save you from, you know the areas of your life that you need salvation and divine rescue, pray to God this morning, Father, please save me in the name of Jesus. Is a simple prayer, is a direct prayer, Lord save me from laziness, from indolence, from poverty, from inability, from rising and falling, from bad behaviors, Father please save me in the name of Jesus, God please save me, thank You Father because You have answered, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

I join my faith with yours and I decree this morning that God will save you from known and unknown issues that will not allow the glory of God to be made manifest in your life, deliverance will come your way in the name of Jesus; for you and your children and the family that you represent, today will mark the beginning of new experiences in the name of Jesus Christ, so shall it be, in Jesus name we have prayed.

The next prayer we are going to pray is the prayer of help, how many of you desire help? You need help and you know the area that you need help, Asa said it is nothing to God to save by many or by a few, so you are going to rise and cry unto the Lord and say Father, please help me in the name of Jesus. You are the help of the helpless, You are the great helper of my time, Father please help me, you can mention the areas that you need help possibly, pray to God this morning, Father please help me in the name of Jesus, Father please help me, in my business help me, in my family help me, in my marriage help me, in my academics (if you’re a student you need help). Pray to God, this morning Father, please help me in the name of Jesus, let help come through for me and let Your name be glorified, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

I pray today that help will locate you; from above, help will locate you; from the north, help will come your way; from the south, help will seek for you; from the east and the west, you will enjoy divine health, so shall it be, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

The next prayer we are going to pray is a prayer of lifting, when God lifts you up no man can pull you down, and David said God is the Lifter of my head, so you are going to pray to God this morning and say Father, please lift me up, above principalities and powers in the name of Jesus. Father please lift me up, lift me up above principalities and powers, above sorrow, above failure, above shame, above inabilities in the name of Jesus. Father please lift me up, Father grant me a lifting, Father grant me a lift oh Lord today in the name of Jesus, thank You because You have answered, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

For Jabez, it was blessing, he cried unto the Lord, oh God, if only You will bless me indeed, and the Bible captured the fact that God granted his request. You see, God is not a respecter of man, whatever He gives to one under the same condition He will give to B, so I want you to pray to God this morning and say Father, please bless me, (what do you want God to bless you with?) you want a child, you want a partner, you want enlargement, you want favor, whatever you need, pray to God, there is nothing God cannot give.

Father, please bless me, You blessed David, You blessed Jabez,  You blessed Hannah, Father, today please bless me, bless me Lord Almighty God, enlarge my coast, let what is not enough become more than enough in my life, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

The God that blessed Jabez, the God that blessed Joseph, the God that blessed Jacob, the God that blessed Isaac, the God that blessed Hannah, the God that blessed Sarah, that same God will bless you today; in the morning, you will be blessed; in the noon time, you will be blessed; in the middle of the night, you will be blessed; from today, no more pains; from today, no more failure; from today, no more poverty, God will make you bigger and better, you will be stronger and stronger to the praise and glory of the name of the Lord, in Jesus name we have prayed.

What is the next prayer we are going to pray, prayer of mercy, how many of you deserve mercy? The Bible says mercy triumph over judgment, you know what that means, where you have been pronounced guilty mercy will reverse it, there is what they call leniency, you’ll get leniency; somebody has been sentenced to death, I think is Adamawa  state, everybody is talking to the governor because the governor is empowered to exercise the power of leniency, once that power is exercised then that death penalty is canceled. I pray today in the mighty name of Jesus that mercy will find expression in your life in the name of Jesus.

I want you to cry unto the Lord, say Father, have mercy on me, have mercy on me, in the name of Jesus have mercy on my children, have mercy on me, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

And lastly you are going to cry to the Lord and say, Father, You are the mighty enabler, my please empower me, empower my household, empower Your church in the name of Jesus. Open your mouth and cry out unto the Lord, empower me Lord, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

My God will hear and answer your prayer and you will testify to the praise and glory of His name, in Jesus name we prayed.

GOD CALLING

A Busy Day

Believe that I am with you and that I am in control of everything. Whatever I say, will be. There is no power which can change that.

Be calm. Never fear. You have quite a lot to learn. Keep on going until you find yourself singing during your busiest days. “Sing to the Lord” (Psalm 30:4 NIV 1984). Songs of praise to Me are the sweetest in My ears when they are sung on the busiest of days. Let love be the theme that runs throughout it all.

Always be glad. Rejoice exceedingly. Take joy in Me! Rest in Me. Never be afraid. Pray more. Don’t worry. I am your helper (Isaiah 41:10; Psalm 46:1). “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms” (Deuteronomy 33:27 NIV 1984). No matter how low you go, My arms are always beneath you. Rest in My arms just like a tired child rests in her father’s arms.

GOOD MORNING. HAVE A BLESSED AND STRESS FREE DAY & PLEASE STAY SAFE! AMEN!

Lean on God in Difficult Times: Finding Strength in Faith

Lean on God in Difficult Times

Challenges are a part of life. They come to everyone. They test our strength and faith. No matter what challenges you’re going through, you will overcome. Don’t lose hope. Keep your faith in God.

Challenges don’t last forever. This storm you’re facing will end. There’re better days ahead. This storm will leave you stronger. Keep moving forward. Hard times come to teach us enduring lessons.

Struggles shape us into who we are meant to be. They teach us resilience. Struggles make us wiser. They help us grow. Each struggle has a purpose. Embrace them as part of your life journey.

Every obstacle is an opportunity to grow. Obstacles push us out of our comfort zones. They test our limits. Each obstacle teaches something new. Don’t fear them. Face obstacles with courage.

Life will test you, but you are stronger than you think. Every challenge helps you to grow. Trust God every step of the way. Keep your faith, and rise above every storm. You are destined for greatness.

“Praising God for What He Does: A Heart of Gratitude”

Praising God for What He Does

TEXT: Psalm 146: 1-10(NKJV)

146:1. Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul!

146:2. While I live I will praise the LORD; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

146:3. Do not put your trust in princes, [Nor] in a son of man, in whom [there is] no help.

146:4. His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish.

146:5. Happy [is he] who [has] the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope [is] in the LORD his God,

146:6. Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that [is] in them; Who keeps truth forever,

146:7. Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners.

146:8. The LORD opens [the eyes of] the blind; The LORD raises those who are bowed down; The LORD loves the righteous.

146:9. The LORD watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked He turns upside down.

146:10. The LORD shall reign forever — Your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD!

STUDY:

This Psalm is “the first of five joyous hymns of praise that close the Psalter” (The Ryrie Study Bible). It opens with a call to praise (vv. 1-5). The writer declared that he would praise the Lord while he lived (v.2). He listed the reasons for the praise as the greatness of God (v.6) and the graciousness of God (vv.7-10): God made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them. God executes justice for the oppressed, gives food to the hungry, gives freedom to the prisoners, opens the eyes of the blind, raises those who are bowed down, helps widows and orphans among other things He does. We cannot enumerate all that God does to warrant our praising Him. The truth is that our experiences of God are different and the way we praise Him sometimes is based on our personal experiences. Do you feel there is nothing worthwhile God has done for you-just praise Him that you are alive today. That gives you more opportunity to be hopeful.”… A living dog is better than a dead lion” (Eccl. 9:4). You can also praise God for who He is; a great and mighty God!

PRAYER:

Dear Lord, may I always see reasons to praise you daily in my life in Jesus Christ mighty name I pray! Amen.

God’s Promises: Finding Comfort and Hope in Jesus Christ

John 14:1-3:

1. Do not let your heart be troubled. Trust in GOD; trust also in me.

2. In my Father’s house are many rooms, if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.

3. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. [NIV]

INSPIRATION

(HIS promise is “yea and Amen”).

The Bible is full of promises of GOD which gives believers comfort, joy and hope. The Scripture teaches plenty of helpful insights about GOD’S promises, so that we can count them and understand them better.

We can also count on these promises and confidence that GOD is faithful to accomplish each one.

Biblical example, many heroes of faith experienced GOD’S promises coming to fulfilment, like-Abraham, Joshua, David, Esther and Jeremiah. GOD’S promises are still relevant for the believers of today. Perhaps in your life, you may have experienced GOD’S promises coming to fruition. In the New Testament of the Bible, we are reading of the renewed assurance of GOD’S faithfulness in keeping to HIS promises.

However confusing it might sound to unbelievers, Jesus Christ is the “Yea and Amen” of all GOD’S promises; Jesus Christ is the guarantee and confirmation of GOD’S promises. Christians respond with an Amen to the assurance of GOD’S promises which signifies our affirmation of, and trust in GOD’S faithfulness.

Though we may feel that not much can be counted on. The world around us changes quickly and there are many let-downs we endure. But the Scripture teaches us that GOD’S promises will never fail, it is in Christ that every promises of GOD is fulfilled, meaning that HIS promises are guaranteed and confirmed in through Jesus Christ.

GOD loves HIS children and wants us to have confidence in HIS promises no matter what is happening in our lives.

The changes we face, or the uncertainty of the world, we can be confident that with GOD all things are possible.

Jesus has remained faithful to the Word of GOD. Reading about the life of Jesus in the Gospels, it is clear that HE lived on earth with integrity, honesty and demonstrated the faithfulness of GOD. HIS life undeniably proved that HIS Word is “Yea and Amen.”

Prayer for the day:

Thank You FATHER for another life in good health and safety, be exalted.

Glorious FATHER, we ask for the grace to be faithful in all things. We give our whole life and our whole being. We choose to please You as we renounce what does not please You. We ask for the ability to be faithful to You in thoughts, in words and in our actions.

Bless our bread and water and keep us safe from every resemblance of evil, today and always, in Jesus Christ miraculous name, Amen.

Thank You Jesus,

Put Your Trust In God

Psalm 31: 1-24 (NKJV)

31:1. To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. In You, O LORD, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness.

31:2. Bow down Your ear to me, Deliver me speedily; Be my rock of refuge, A fortress of defense to save me.

31:3. For You [are] my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name’s sake, Lead me and guide me.

31:4. Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, For You [are] my strength.

31:5. Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

31:6. I have hated those who regard useless idols; But I trust in the LORD.

31:7. I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, For You have considered my trouble; You have known my soul in adversities,

31:8. And have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; You have set my feet in a wide place.

31:9. Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am in trouble; My eye wastes away with grief, [Yes,] my soul and my body!

31:10.  For my life is spent with grief, And my years with sighing; My strength fails because of my iniquity, And my bones waste away.

31:11.  I am a reproach among all my enemies, But especially among my neighbors, And [am] repulsive to my acquaintances; Those who see me outside flee from me.

31:12. I am forgotten like a dead man, out of mind; I am like a broken vessel.

31:13. For I hear the slander of many; Fear [is] on every side; While they take counsel together against me, They scheme to take away my life.

31:14. But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD; I say, “You [are] my God.”

31:15. My times [are] in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me.

31:16. Make Your face shine upon Your servant; Save me for Your mercies’ sake.

31:17. Do not let me be ashamed, O LORD, for I have called upon You; Let the wicked be ashamed; Let them be silent in the grave.

31:18. Let the lying lips be put to silence, Which speak insolent things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

31:19.  Oh, how great [is] Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, [Which] You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men!

31:20. You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence From the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion From the strife of tongues.

31:21. Blessed [be] the LORD, For He has shown me His marvelous kindness in a strong city!

31:22. For I said in my haste, “I am cut off from before Your eyes”; Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications When I cried out to You.

31:23. Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints! [For] the LORD preserves the faithful, and fully repays the proud person.

31:24. Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.

The Psalmist confidently declares that his trust is in the Lord, and therefore, he feels secure in expecting God’s deliverance, guidance, mercy, and protection from his enemies. By entrusting his life to God, he commits his times to His hands. He praises God’s goodness to those who trust in Him and blesses the Lord for His marvelous kindness. The Psalmist also encourages the saints to love the Lord for His preservation and urges those who hope in the Lord to be courageous, for they will be strengthened.

In today’s world, filled with crises, wars, food scarcity, insecurity, mass shootings, and kidnappings, people are left wondering who or what to trust. Some put their trust in their abilities, position, wealth, friends, titles, or even idols. However, like the Psalmist, we must put our trust in God (Psalm 20:7), for without Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5). God’s faithfulness is tried, tested, and trusted for eternity! Amen.

PRAYER: Father; help me to trust you more as I know you more! Amen.
