I Am The Righteousness Of God In Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!

“But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)”
Romans 10:6 (KJV)

God the Father is excited every time you confess your righteousness in Christ because He is reminded of the price paid by His Son in making you righteous. Your declaration of your righteousness in God (Romans 3:26) shows your appreciation of the finished work of Calvary. Jesus Himself rejoices because you are laying hold of what He did on the cross for your benefit. John 16:10 tells us that the Spirit convicts us of righteousness. So He is pleased that you are in agreement with Him. Notice that according to the above scripture, you give joy to the Godhead through your declaration of your righteousness, thereby aligning yourself with Matthew 6:33, which challenges us to seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness so that the things we need will be given to us.

When you acknowledge your righteousness in Jesus, you are putting the devil where he belongs, and this gives God delight. God is like the teacher watching his student display knowledge of the previously taught subject in class during a quiz or competition. Of course the teacher will be proud of his student. In the same way, God is proud of you when you stand in the knowledge of your righteousness in Him. Your action tells Him that you know your rights and privileges. And He can boast about you, knowing that the devil cannot intimidate or subject you to his ridicule and antics.

Each time you say you are the righteousness of God in Christ, you are saying that you are in right standing with God. Your simple confession of this fact builds boldness in you and gives you access to all that God has in store for you. You become like the child in his father’s house who knows that everything inside the building belongs to him. Such a child can move from store to store and from room to room freely because he knows his rights.

Whatever you need will be supplied, so never allow yourself to be intimidated. Declare every day that you are the righteousness of God in Christ.

Even In The Midst Of The Mess I Am Right Now, There Is Much More Grace Available To Help Me Bounce Back. Thank You Jesus

“Moreover where the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound”.
Romans 5:20 (KJV)

I am tired of believers living their lives as if sin is more powerful than what Jesus did for us on the cross. You constantly see believers cringing and crying for hours, pleading for mercy. I feel really weary when I see Bible-believing children of God cringing because of sin rather than standing tall. Understand that I am not validating sin. The Bible asks whether sin shall abound that grace may much more abound, and it also rightly answers that God forbids it. God does not expect you to deliberately live in sin because of grace. In fact, if you clearly understand the word “grace”, sin will be far from you. You will love God too much to do things that do not glorify Him.

Beloved, you may have missed the point yesterday or today but that does not make you a sinner. Remember that the fact that you passed through a garage does not make you a car. Falling into one sin or the other does not make you a sinner. You can never get rid of the sin in your life through self-effort or your own resolutions. You can make as many New Year’s resolutions as you want, but one thing is sure: it is the operation of the Holy Ghost that delivers us from sin. That is why Paul the Apostle in 2 Corinthians 3:18 said, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (KJV). When you see yourself the way you really are, then the Holy Ghost works in you to change you into what you are seeing.

Hear this: today’s text assures us that even in the midst of that mess you are in there is much more grace available to help you bounce back. Thank God that the price has already been paid.

All Of My Sins, Past, Present, And Future, Have Been Nailed To The Cross Of Calvary. Satan! You Got Nothing On Me

“To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?”
1 Corinthians 5:5-6 (KJV)

Sin is so deadly that the devil effectively uses it to keep the believer in bondage. Sin humiliates, embarrasses, and destroys. It destroys the relationship between God and man. Sin robs a person of his confidence towards God and against Satan. Sin is like a blood red stain on a white cloth that screams at you. But thank God for the finished work of Calvary. Thank God for the blood that washes away every sin and allows us to stand boldly without blemish before God.

Child of God, the only hold the devil has on you is the hold of sin. That is why he will constantly remind you of your past. He knows that there is nothing else he can hold you down with. He knows that if he cannot mess with your mind he cannot get you. So he will constantly wield the power of condemnation. That is why Jesus came to disarm him. He came to be your righteousness. He took your place on the cross. He became sin so that you can be the righteousness of God in Christ. He took the full punishment. He was wounded for your transgression and bruised for your iniquities. All of your sins, past, present, and future, have been nailed to the cross. You stand before God discharged and acquitted; there is no chance for the devil to appeal. This is a deadly blow to the devil. He does not want you to realise this fact, so he constantly tries to hoodwink you. But today that hold is broken in Jesus’ name.

The truth is that as long as you see yourself as a sinner rather than the righteousness of God you will never fulfil God’s purpose. Jesus knew that we were helpless as long as Satan had his armour, so He paid the full price. Jesus took from the devil all he had used to hold man down with and He gave man liberty. Today, no matter where I am, I stand boldly before the throne of grace knowing that I am forgiven. And this completely disarms the devil and gives me victory.

Hallelujah! Satan has been disarmed (Colossians 2:13-15, TLB). Go about your business as if sin never existed.

God Will Be Merciful To My Unrighteousness, And My Sins And My Iniquities Will He Remember No More

God Will Be Merciful To My Unrighteousness, And My Sins And My Iniquities Will He Remember No More

“For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.”
Hebrews 8:12 (KJV)

Unfortunately, many believers have grown up with the misunderstanding that God has an account of all of our sins that will be played out for all to see during the last days. This lie has so permeated the mind of believers that at times I wonder where it started from. The average believer is sure that during the last days God will show you all the wrongs you have committed and then punish you for them. So once we sin we cringe in fear and begin to repent profusely in an attempt to convince God to cleanse us. But nothing is farther from the truth. This belief is a lie from the pit of hell.

This is one of the errors the devil has entrenched in the Church to make God’s children fearful of meeting their Lord and Saviour. We dread the day of the coming of our Lord. Rather than looking forwards to His coming with joy, we are fearful that His coming will embarrass us and bring ridicule. However, our text for today is very clear; God is merciful to our unrighteousness. He no longer remembers our sins and iniquities. God does not remember one speck of sin that you have committed because all of your sins were placed on His Son, Jesus Christ, when He died.

The law of double jeopardy and the righteousness of God will not allow Him to remember your sins. He will not remember what has already been fully paid for. That would be unfair. Remembering sin would mean that the finished work of Calvary had not been accepted. Also, when you read Hebrews 11, which is called “The Halls of Faith“, you will notice the names of all those who failed but whose failures were not recorded. Abraham had Hagar, Moses was angry and killed an Egyptian, and David committed adultery and plotted the death of Uriah; yet none of their failures were recorded. Only their faith was recorded. These people were under the old covenant and God still did not recount their errors. Why would He recount yours when you are in the new covenant? God shows us that He records only the work of His Son. He only sees you in Christ, and there is no failure in Jesus.

No Matter My Challenges In Life, Jesus Has Dealt With It Through His Death, I Am Already A Victor

No Matter My Challenges In Life, Jesus Has Dealt With It Through His Death, I Am Already A Victor

“When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.”
John 19:30 (KJV)

The three words declared by Jesus Christ during His final minutes on the cross carry a great deal of power, with the result that, when fully understood, every struggle to achieve anything in life as a child of God actually begins from the finish line.

The finish line in any race or competition is the place where the winner is determined. No matter your challenge in life, Jesus has dealt with it through His death, so you should have the mentality that you are already victorious. Are you sick? Are you faced with a challenge in your walk with God, in your business, in your career, in your academics, in your family, or in your health? Remember that the work is finished; it has come to an end.

When Jesus said, “It is finished”, He recognised the full price for our redemption. He understood that He had to carry the sins of the entire human race and nail them to the cross. So when He said, “It is finished”, He was confirming that all of mankind’s sin had been dealt with. The ultimate price had been paid. There was absolutely no area that the devil could lay hold of again. Jesus was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him. He took 39 stripes representing the 39 classes of diseases in the world today. He was pierced and His body was lacerated. What else is there? Beloved, the full price has been paid.

In view of this, I declare you a winner in every area of your life. Declare yourself victorious over every challenge. Refuse to accept or consider any contradictory evidence. You will see the manifestation of greatness in your life.

“Most people that are aware they are under a criminal investigation would not behave in such a public way,” said Smith, whose career inspired the hit ABC series “Scandal.” “The risk of it is that it attracts and invites attention, review and investigation of ongoing business practices in a very public way, quite frankly.”

I Want To Know More Of You LORD!

I Want To Know More Of You LORD!

2-Timothy_2-19: Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity

2-Timothy_2-19: Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”
Daniel 11:32 (KJV)

In a world that is inundated with so much evil, the need to arm yourself with all that will enable you to withstand every satanic challenge and at the same time launch an offensive into Satan’s territory cannot be overemphasised. Don’t just sit back and play the defensive; as in football, those who play the defensive too many times lose the match. When the ball is almost always in your half of the field (or “in your 18”, as is said in football), there will be a window sooner or later through which the opponent will score. So don’t allow the game to remain in your 18-yard box. Take the battle to the devil’s territory. Be on the offensive. Attack his territory with boldness.

However, you can only do this when you have confident knowledge of God. The text above reiterates this fact. They that know their God shall be strong and do exploits. You must consciously make an effort to know your God. Only those who know God will be strong. God is not a subject like geography or algebra. He is a revelation. You will know Him when you follow Him. You know God as you study His word, meditate on it, and act on it.

David was the greatest king of Israel, and he told us the secret behind his outstanding achievements as a king. He was always in the temple in order to behold the beauty of the Lord and make inquiries in His presence (Psalm 27:1-4).

In spite of his religious pedigree, Paul also threw his past away in order to pursue the knowledge of God. (Philippians 3:1-14). The success of Jesus on earth hinged on His constant pursuit of God (John 19:30). If you are to make it today, you must pursue God even more. I challenge you to make a quality decision to know Him and see God move in your life.

God Loves Me Just The Way I Am, He Does Not Condemn Me

God Loves Me Just The Way I Am, He Does Not Condemn Me

“That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”
Ephesians 5:27 (KJV)

One of the things the devil does is make us uncomfortable in the presence of Jesus. Sometimes, even in times of worship, he digs up a weakness or an area of struggle in our lives and makes us feel like we don’t have the right to worship. Then we find ourselves losing the joy we had earlier.

However, you should come into God’s presence with a consciousness of Jesus, His forgiveness, and His grace. In the Old Testament, when people brought their offerings to a priest, the priest examined the animal sacrifices to ensure they had no blemishes. He never examined the sinners. If a given animal was without blemish, God accepted the sacrifice. In the same way, when you approach God, God does not examine you. He sees you through the full value and the loveliness and acceptance of His Son (Ephesians 1:6). God sees you as being holy and without blemish.

Like today’s text says, you are glorious, without spot or wrinkle. You are holy without blemish. In Luke 7:36-50, we read the story of a woman who was a sinner and came to Jesus as she was. She was Jesus-conscious and not self-conscious. She was not bothered by her own sin and unworthiness; instead, she was consumed with her love for Jesus. All she had heard about Jesus was that He was doing good. She had never heard of Him condemning or stoning anyone, so she came to Him in her unworthiness; and she therefore received the forgiveness she needed.

Whatever your need is, come to God as you are. Don’t try to get things right before coming. Don’t try to partially atone for your sins before approaching Him. A songwriter once said, “Just as I am without one plea”. That is the way to come. When you come to Him this way and fall at His feet in worship, acknowledging Him for whom He is, you will hear Him say, “Go your way. Your restoration has come. Your prosperity is here. You are healed. You have been made whole.”

Hebrews 14:14-16
Jeremiah 18-19
2 Timothy 3

Because Jesus Lives In Me, Whatever I Touch Shall Be Blessed By His Spirit

Because Jesus Lives In Me, Whatever I Touch Shall Be Blessed By His Spirit

Psalms_5-12-1: For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Psalms_5-12-1: For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

“The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he will bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.”
Deuteronomy 28:8 (KJV)

Today’s text declares that God commands His blessing on all that you touch. It may be a person, a thing, or your business. Touch your child, spouse, car, computer, or musical instrument; then the blessing of God will come upon it. Everyone Jesus touched received a blessing and because Jesus lives in you, whatever you touch will be blessed by His spirit, too.

Jesus paid the price so that you could have this blessing. He was nailed to the cross so that God can today command His blessing in all that you touch. When Jesus went to the cross, the barrier between God and man was destroyed. It was not set aside; otherwise it could be revisited. It was totally and eternally destroyed. Therefore our access to the throne room is not conditional but free. The doors to the throne of grace are wide open, and God’s arms are outstretched to us. All you need to do is walk in His love.

In Matthew 9:28-30, when Jesus touched the two blind men their eyes were opened. In Luke 7:12-15, when He touched the casket of the son of the widow of Nain, he was raised from death. In Mark 1:40-42, when He touched the lepers in spite of the Old Testament laws, their leprosy were cleansed. Jesus did all of this to show us that nothing we want can be denied. Our hands are blessed and as the song goes, “Everyone you touch surely must be blessed”. If you believe in something and expect it, you will see it, because the expectations of the righteous shall not be cut off.

Today He is at work in you and through you. So whatever you touch today is blessed. Go ahead and put your hands on your spouse, your child, your business, your trade, your womb, and on other things you want the blessing to rest upon. You will see what you desire come to pass. Your hands are blessed.

Sin Can No Longer Hold Me Down. I Have Got The Victory In Christ Jesus

Sin Can No Longer Hold Me Down. I Have Got The Victory In Christ Jesus

“Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound”.
Romans 5:20 (KJV)

Grace-the unmerited, unearned, undeserved favour of God-is more abundant than all of your sins. Oftentimes people become sin-conscious and everything they talk about is laced with sin, as though what sin did in Adam was more powerful than what Jesus did in the new creation.

Our text today is very comforting: “[. . .] But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound” (Romans 5:20, KJV). The Amplified version of the same text is as follows: “[. . .] But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favour) has surpassed it and increased the more and superabounded” (Romans 5:20).

What a knockout to the sin in our lives! No matter the sin in your life, factor in the abundant grace of God that completely obliterates it and puts you in right standing with God. Sin has been disarmed of the power to unravel your right standing with God. This is what throws the enemy into confusion. He was used to holding man as guilty, but then Jesus came and man was free from the devil’s hold. When the veil that separated the Holy of Holies was torn, God gave man unconditional access to His presence. We need no longer come cringing. We can come like a child ready to fall into the waiting arms of the Father.

Beloved, wake up every day and celebrate your right standing, your righteousness in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:21). Rejoice in the great work that Jesus did on the cross, and you will soon find yourself behaving in line with your right standing. I welcome you to a new life of victory over the dominion of sin.
