Self-Service!  Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord!

Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.

Ephesians 6:7-8

You will be hard-pressed to find someone who will do something for nothing. People say things like, “You scratch my back, and I’ll scratch yours.” “If you hook me up with this, I’ll hook you up with that.” It’s all about the payback.

God’s economy doesn’t work that way. He doesn’t want us to give just to get; He doesn’t want us to serve just because of what we’ll receive in return.

Serving is all about placing other people’s needs before your own. And when you do that humbly and with a pure heart, it allows God to work through you to touch the lives of others in a supernatural way.

Serving selflessly is not easy. Each time you serve, there will be an internal conflict with the other things in life that are vying for your time. God will not force you to serve Him or those around you. We have to make that choice on our own. But when you choose to give your time in service as God has designed, your rewards will be unimaginable.

A Prayer for Today

Lord, give me a servant’s heart. It’s easy to for me to focus on my own needs, but I know You have placed people in my life who have needs that I can meet. Help me to place others’ needs before my own as I strive to live the life that Jesus modeled for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Are you happy with what you see when you look in the mirror? And I’m not talking about your physical body when I ask this question — I’m talking about your spiritual body. Has your soul been getting the nourishment it needs to grow in health and strength, or have you deprived it from the Word it so desperately needs?

Most likely you have one in your family—the extremely loving caring person always looking out for others and helping them in every and any way possible. They usually always have a smile on their faces and will stop what they’re doing and help you at the drop of a hat. Everyone always enjoys being in their company and loves the feeling of love and happiness they share with those around them.

We love them. We’re inspired by them to be more loving ourselves, but too often we forget to give back to these people the love that they’ve given to us.

Does Your Heart Condemn You? Rejoice!  It is a clear indication that you are spiritually discerning

When your heart condemns you, rejoice, it is a clear indication that you are spiritually discerning…Awake enough within to recognize truth from falsehood: those actions that perhaps are tainted by ulterior motives fueled by selfish ambitions and vain conceits.  It is in moments like this that you are invited to choose God above all distractions thereby returning to the fellowship that leads to profound wisdom and peace: your soul’s connection to God.

“This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us.  For God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.” 1 John 3:19-20

All things work together for good, for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28

All things work together for good, for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28.

There is a delightful little story of two angels who stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family.  The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the guestroom. Instead they were given a small space in the cold basement.

As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied, “Things aren’t always what they seem.”

The next night the two angels came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife. After sharing what little food they had, the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night’s rest.

When the sun came up the next morning, the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was perplexed and asked the older angel, “How could you have let this happen? The first man had everything, yet you fix a hole in his wall. The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let the cow die.”

“Things aren’t always what they seem,” the older angel replied. “When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall. Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn’t find it. Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave him the cow instead.”

You see, things aren’t always what they seem. The Bible promises us that “all things work together for good, to those who love God and are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). Surely you can trust the Lord to work things out for your good during this strange season of craziness in our topsy-turvy world!

Just remember, things are not always as they seem!

How do you know if you are being a good steward? The Authority of Godly Stewardship

How do you know if you are being a good steward? The Authority of Godly Stewardship

How do you know if you are being a good steward? There is only one way to know—read God’s Word. Deuteronomy 8:3 says: “Man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.” We show our love for God by obeying Him, being a steward who manages things on His terms.

Human ownership must be governed by God. That’s why when God made Adam, the first thing He did was give him instruction: “The LORD God commanded the man, saying, ‘From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day you eat from it you will surely die” (Genesis 2:16-17). God gives instruction to protect us, and following His instruction provides His results.

When you first consider stewardship, you might think it has too many limitations. But let me assure you that the limitations of stewardship are always for the enjoyment of it. God doesn’t give us commands to stifle our stewardship, but rather to expand it. We shouldn’t think that God’s ways are negative—we can’t do this or that—because the negative exists to enhance the positive.

So many people think God’s commands restrict their freedom. But freedom in the biblical sense never means just doing what you want. Freedom in the Bible is the power to do what you ought to do. How do we get that kind of freedom? Jesus told us the truth sets us free, and the absolute standard of truth is God’s Word.

John 8:32

Allow LORD Jesus To Take Charge Of Your Affairs

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”

John 1:1-3

It can be mind boggling to contemplate the vastness of the universe, from the greatest star to the smallest particle. It is so vast that astronomers are now saying that it stretches beyond what we are capable of penetrating, even with sophisticated telescopes like the Hubble. And every bit of it was created by the Living Word of God, Who, even as He hung the stars in space, counted them and called them each by name!

And Who keeps all this in perfect order? Who keeps Earth from getting sucked into some gigantic black hole, or planets from spinning out of control, or stars from falling from the sky? Who keeps people upright on earth while it turns on its axis? Who established the laws of nature? Who gives people the very breath they breathe?

The answer is none other than the Living Logos of Almighty God Who was in the beginning with God, and Who was God, and Who is the same today. He is bigger than we think and greater than we think. Nothing is beyond His ability. If He can keep the universe in order, He can keep your life and mine in order, too. He knows what’s wrong in your life and how to fix it. Give Him the authority to put it right. Let Him take charge.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Exodus 22. Laws about repayment. Responsibility for property

1 If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep. 2 If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him. 3 If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft. 4 If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double. 5 If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man’s field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution. 6 If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution.

7 If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man’s house; if the thief be found, let him pay double. 8 If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods. 9 For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing, which another challengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour. 10 If a man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep; and it die, or be hurt, or driven away, no man seeing it: 11 Then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto his neighbour’s goods; and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good. 12 And if it be stolen from him, he shall make restitution unto the owner thereof. 13 If it be torn in pieces, then let him bring it for witness, and he shall not make good that which was torn. 14 And if a man borrow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it good. 15 But if the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good: if it be an hired thing, it came for his hire.

16 And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife. 17 If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins. 18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. 19 Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death. 20 He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed. 21 Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. 22 Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. 23 If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; 24 And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

25 If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury. 26 If thou at all take thy neighbour’s raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him by that the sun goeth down: 27 For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious. 28 Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people. 29 Thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors: the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me. 30 Likewise shalt thou do with thine oxen, and with thy sheep: seven days it shall be with his dam; on the eighth day thou shalt give it me. 31 And ye shall be holy men unto me: neither shall ye eat any flesh that is torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Exodus 21. The treatment of servants and slaves

Exodus 21. The treatment of servants and slaves

1 Now these are the judgments which thou shalt set before them. 2 If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing. 3 If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him. 4 If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master’s, and he shall go out by himself. 5 And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free: 6 Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through with an awl; and he shall serve him for ever. 7 And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do. 8 If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her. 9 And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters. 10 If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish. 11 And if he do not these three unto her, then shall she go out free without money.

12 He that smiteth a man, so that he die, shall be surely put to death. 13 And if a man lie not in wait, but God deliver him into his hand; then I will appoint thee a place whither he shall flee. 14 But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to slay him with guile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die. 15 And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death. 16 And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death. 17 And he that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death. 18 And if men strive together, and one smite another with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keepeth his bed: 19 If he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed. 20 And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished. 21 Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.

22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. 23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, 24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, 25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe. 26 And if a man smite the eye of his servant, or the eye of his maid, that it perish; he shall let him go free for his eye’s sake. 27 And if he smite out his manservant’s tooth, or his maidservant’s tooth; he shall let him go free for his tooth’s sake. 28 If an ox gore a man or a woman, that they die: then the ox shall be surely stoned, and his flesh shall not be eaten; but the owner of the ox shall be quit. 29 But if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept him in, but that he hath killed a man or a woman; the ox shall be stoned, and his owner also shall be put to death. 30 If there be laid on him a sum of money, then he shall give for the ransom of his life whatsoever is laid upon him. 31 Whether he have gored a son, or have gored a daughter, according to this judgment shall it be done unto him. 32 If the ox shall push a manservant or a maidservant; he shall give unto their master thirty shekels of silver, and the ox shall be stoned. 33 And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit, and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein; 34 The owner of the pit shall make it good, and give money unto the owner of them; and the dead beast shall be his. 35 And if one man’s ox hurt another’s, that he die; then they shall sell the live ox, and divide the money of it; and the dead ox also they shall divide. 36 Or if it be known that the ox hath used to push in time past, and his owner hath not kept him in; he shall surely pay ox for ox; and the dead shall be his own.

Homeless to Hero: One Pastor Making History in India By Efrem Graham

Homeless to Hero: One Pastor Making History in India By Efrem Graham

NEW DELHI, India – Christians comprise a little more than two percent of India’s population but that has not stopped one pastor from making history.

Pastor R. Abraham‘s latest accomplishment brought together some 17,000 pastors to a daytime leadership conference and nearly 1 million people to four-day evening prayer meeting.

And that’s just part of the story of a man who’s gone from homeless to hero.

Abraham spoke with CBN News in a park outside the country’s capital New Delhi, just days before turning 60. He recalled hearing God‘s voice calling him to the ministry. He was 21 and enjoying his new career as a chemist.

From Security to Homeless

“I could even have a car,” Abraham said. “To have a car in 1974 is a big deal. It was a pretty high paying job in those days. So you felt like your life is secure.”

“And God spoke to me, almost like an audible voice,” he continued. “God said to me, ‘Son, I have called you for a very specific purpose. I want you to resign your job, get out of your home, and go and preach the gospel to your people.’ I was, like, whoa.”

Though he had no idea how to preach, Pastor Abraham obeyed the call. But just months into his ministry, Abraham was broke, homeless, and hungry.

“Having something to eat was the biggest miracle in my life in those days,” he said. “And in the night I had no place to go, so I used to wait for the shops to pull down the shutters so that I could sleep in front of the corridors of the shops. And I started to wonder, why did He call me? Why?”

Reaching India’s Desperate

After two years of prayer and patience, Pastor Abraham joined forces with another minister to start New India Church of God. The organization now reaches across India through more than 3,000 churches.

“I have always responded to the leading of God, and I have always responded to the needs,” Pastor Abraham said, looking back on his accomplishment. “There is a need that made me do whatever you see was done because of the need that was before my eyes.”

The Bethesda Children’s Homes is one of those needs. It’s a network of 14 orphanages around his country, all founded by Pastor Abraham.

He opened the first after visiting an area of his country where parents were selling their children for pennies. Many would end up working in sweat shops or on the streets.

Two of girls at one of the orphanages shared their horrific stories with CBN News. One remembered her dad pouring kerosene on her mom and burning her death. Another recalled her mom being drunk and throwing her out of the house.

“That just tore my heart apart. I just stood there and cried,” Abraham recalled. “And the Lord was telling me, ‘well, who is going to take care of them?'”

“And for the first time ever in my life, I opened my mouth and said I will take care of them,” he continued. “I went back to their parents and I said, ‘Don’t sell them. Give them to me.’ “

Caring for Pastors

In addition to its 14 orphanages, Pastor Abraham’s ministry operates 16 Bible colleges. There are also six Christian mission schools.

“I am totally committed to helping children,” Abraham said. “I really have a heart for the children. I want to do the best.”

Pastor Abraham has a heart for Indian people, young and old. His latest project is building a retirement home for aging pastors.

“The pastors here in India, they don’t have any pension. They don’t have any life insurance. They don’t have any social security,” he explained. “The only thing is they are either looked after by their children or they’re out on the streets.”

Partners for Help

Pastor Abraham has lived on the streets and doesn’t want to see anyone there. At 60, he said he’s got at least another 40 years to reach them with the Gospel and a heavenly home.

And his ministry is seeing some help. CBN’s Orphan’s Promise has partnered with him at one of his 14 orphanages, and students at Regent University have also started a campus ministry called Christ for India to help raise awareness and support for Abraham’s work.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Walking By Revelation By Pastor Kenny Folarin. DayStar Christian Centre

1 Corinthians 2: 9-10

God never intended that Man should run his affairs with human ability or sense knowledge. As Christians, we can leverage on our access to the supernatural realm to get tangible, visible results in our lives. Sense knowledge is limited because it is based on the five senses while revelation knowledge comes from God. When you are influenced by the spirit world, it impacts the things you see and hear and determines the kind of results you get (Isaiah 30:20).  The difference between sense knowledge and revelation knowledge is demonstrated in the story narrated in 2 Kings 6: 13-17. The king of Syria had sent out a great army to capture Elisha, the prophet. The army arrived at night and surrounded the city. When Elisha’s servant saw them, he was afraid. However, Elisha was unmoved and assured the young man. He also prayed “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man and he saw horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. The eyes that Elisha prayed should be opened were not the physical eyes but rather the young man’s spiritual eyes. These were two people in the same situation but they saw differently – one saw the problem; the other saw the solution. What are you seeing?  What you see with your spiritual eyes is what you will see with your physical eyes. Unfortunately, many Christians run their lives based on the natural senses and what can be seen physically. You have got to see and hear differently (Genesis 13: 14-16; 15 vs. 5). What you see determines what you seize.

The key to walking in revelation is the person of the Holy Spirit. He is the One who bridges the gap between the natural and the supernatural (1 Corinthians 2 vs. 10).  He is the One who helps us to get inspiration (Ephesians 1 vs. 16-18). If the Holy Spirit does not show us the hidden things, then we do not have access to them. God wants us to run every aspect of our lives on revelation knowledge. In Genesis 26, there was a famine in the land and Isaac wanted to go to Egypt because of the famine but he was instructed by God to stay in the land and sow during the famine and he reaped a hundredfold. He became extremely prosperous because he obeyed God.

To have access to revelation knowledge, you need to pray. Prayer is an opportunity for you to relate with God and gain access to the supernatural world (Jeremiah 33:3). Spend time praying in the Holy Ghost to build up your faith. Also, meditate (think deeply) on God’s word (Joshua 1: 8; Psalm 39:3). Get inspired by God’s prophet – the servant of God. Do not take lightly the words which proceed from those God has put in authority over you in church. Read materials written or produced by them; listen to their messages, follow their advice (Acts 27: 9-24).

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God is Love

God Disciplines You Lovingly

“My child, don’t ignore it when the Lord disciplines you, and don’t be discouraged when He corrects you. For the Lord corrects those He loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.”

(Proverbs 3:11-12)

Just like earthly children, God’s children must experience discipline. Discipline is necessary to mature and grow in character. God lovingly disciplines us so we will become more mature in our walk with Him.

God’s discipline is for our good. Parents who care about their children discipline them. Proverbs 13:24 states, “If you refuse to discipline your children, it proves you don’t love them; if you love your children, you will be prompt to discipline them.”

I fell in love with our two sons the first time I saw them. I love them even more today as adults. When they were young, I spanked them when they were disobedient. I am sure that I shed more tears while I was spanking them than they did. Each time I would explain that I disciplined them because I loved them.

Character is vitally important to God. So He tenderly pulls the weeds, cuts off the dead flowers, and prunes the branches in the garden of our blossoming character. Yes, the process can be painful, but the result will be a character that is wise, mature, content, and pleasing to God. This loving, painstaking process demonstrates the difference between God’s discipline and Satan‘s accusations. Satan accuses us so we will give up, but God corrects us so we will grow up.

Our Father is the Ruler of the universe! How thankful we should be for the wonderful privilege of being His children. As His offspring, we can enjoy His love, care, and commitment as we pursue intimacy with Him by faith.

Your View of God Really Matters…

Think of times when God has disciplined you. Consider how you grew spiritually through the process. Thank the Lord for His discipline.

Romans 8:15-17; Hebrews 12:10-11

Success and Prosperity! How To Do Excellent Things By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. Christ Embassy International

Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm (Daniel 6:3).

God has already put in you an excellent spirit. Daniel was typified for us in scripture as one who dealt excellently in his affairs because “an excellent spirit was in him”. Anointed men and women in the Old Testament had the Holy Spirit “come upon them”, but today, He lives in you! He’s the Spirit of excellence; hence it’s His ministry to cause you to excel in everything you do. When you recognize this truth, walking in excellence will become a natural occurrence for you; you’ll excel in every endeavour. To “excel” means “to distinguish oneself”; “to stand out and surpass laid down standards”; “to do something to a greater degree than the normal or required standards.” Invariably, in your job, at school, in business or ministry, you ought to stand out from the crowd! Your results should be impeccable, outstanding and inspiring. You don’t have to pray to God to make you excel, for excellence is in you; all you need do is recognize it and express it. Choose to excel; make the conscious effort to improve your mind by studying the right materials. Become studious; don’t loaf or laze around, for laziness isn’t a quality of an excellent spirit- go the extra mile! Reject mediocrity and mundanity from your life. This is your set time to excel, and it doesn’t require your struggling; it’s the life you’ve been called to live. So keep excelling in the Name of Jesus!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

BORN INTO GOD’S GREATNESS By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. Christ Embassy International

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing (Genesis 12:2).

From the scripture above, we notice that it was God who spoke to Abraham and said, “I will make you great”; it wasn’t Abraham who cried out, “O Lord, make me great!” It was God’s choice to make him great, and from that point on, the man did great things. He defeated five kings and their armies with three hundred servants trained in his house (Genesis 14). His wealth and influence outweighed those of the nations where he dwelt. He was a force to be reckoned with by kings of nations around him because of how great he was. The Bible says, “…if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29). If you’re born again, you’re the seed of Abraham; the seed of greatness is in your spirit. Therefore, you ought to do great things. Great people do great things. When the seed of greatness is in a man, he’ll undoubtedly do great things that will be spoken of for generations after Him. Never think small or see yourself as small. You’re the offspring of the great God of glory; His seed of greatness is in you. It’s your set time to do great things. Every day, tell yourself, “I’m doing great things, for the Spirit of God lives in me! I refuse to think small or do small things. I’m born for greatness!” Remember, you were born into greatness! Your family history is replete with stories and feats of greatness. I’m not talking about your earthly family, but the family of God to which you belong. This is your time to do great things in the Kingdom of God. It’s your set time to do exploits in your job, business, academics and other areas of your life.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray!

Caution! Holy Spirit falls only on every sensitive and

seeking heart

Ephesians 4:31,32Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and

clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all

malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving

one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you”

We need to become more sensitive when it comes to criticizing our

Nation, Pastors, Leaders and even Fellow Believers. It has driven

the anointing of the Holy Spirit from many lives and churches.

The power of the Holy Spirit falls only on every sensitive and

seeking heart.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Our Devotion To God. Only God has the ability to satisfy the deepest longing in our hearts

Our Devotion To God. Only God has the ability to satisfy the deepest longing in our hearts

How has our nation become so dry in its devotion to God? The answer is simple – we have gone to other things for refreshment. We have sought ways of encouraging ourselves without God. We have turned and walked in the opposite direction, thinking that we will try something new and it will satisfy our needs. We fill the emptiness of our lives with people instead of God, and immediately they become like gods to us. Then, before we know it, they have done something to disappoint us, and we immediately feel betrayed and defeated.

In a nation that has the greatest material advantages, we want more and expect to get it. We’re no longer satisfied with simple things – we have to have the latest flat-screen television. We have the newest computer that plays more songs and that does more that we will ever use, and still we cry out for more. We have flashier cars, larger homes, walk-in closets with shelves filled with clothing that we cannot even remember buying. We repaint rooms in our houses, purchase new furniture, and still feel empty, alone, and in debt.

Only God has the ability to satisfy the deepest longing in our hearts. Sure, it is fun to wear a new shirt and feel as though you are looking your best. God is not against this. In fact, He wants us to do well in this life. However, He wants us to love Him above all things. He gives good things to His children, but when the good things become objects of worship, we find that we are headed for trouble.

God will allow us to drift until we wake up and realize that our needs cannot be satisfied by anything or anyone other than God Himself. A new marriage or a new baby will not relieve the pressure. Many times it only makes it worse.

You can stop the dryness in your life by telling the Lord what you are facing and how you feel. He understands your needs, but He also knows that the only way you truly will find refreshment and hope that lasts is by living your life for Him. Amen!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

WELCOME ADDRESS

We are indeed particularly grateful to God for the 60th anniversary of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God and the 70th birthday anniversary of our beloved Daddy G. O. all of which took place in 2012. You will all agree with me that we are still basking in the jubilee blessings that God has bestowed on us through these landmark events.

I welcome you heartily to WOMEN IN MINISTRY CONFERENCE 2013. This year’s conference is a special one because it is the 15th anniversary of the conference which started in the year 1998. From that humble beginning, the Almighty God has brought us a long way as female ministers in the Redeemed Christian Church Of God. It is not surprising that God has decided to call us to a higher place of relevance in the ministry that He has committed to our hands.

If we look deeply into the happening all over the world and particularly in our nation, Nigeria, there is no gainsaying the fact that the end time is drawing closer by the day. This is a time to stand firm on the tenets of our faith and to encourage all others to do the same. Women have always been great vessels of influence in the hands of Our LORD Jesus Christ. More than ever before, our LORD Jesus Christ must find us dependable at this time. We must be the true salt of the earth and true light of the world in all our spheres of influence. This way, our lifestyles will draw men unto God.

This conference has been inspired by God and specially packaged to empower us to go forth as role models and beacons of light to the next generation and to the world at large. We encourage you to be attentive throughout the entire programme and to go home thoroughly refreshed and inspired for the great work ahead.

Once again, you are most welcome and may God bless you abundantly!
