Ride on ! ride on in majesty

Ride on ! ride on in majesty

Hark! all the tribes ‘Hosanna!’ cry;

O Saviour meek, pursue Thy road

With palms and scattered garments strowed.

Ride on! ride on in majesty!

In lowly pomp ride on to die;

Oh Christ, Thy triumphs now begin

Over captive death and conquered sin.

Ride on! ride on in majesty!

The winged squadrons of the

sky

Look down with sad and wondering eyes

To see approaching sacrifice.

Ride on! ride on in majesty!

Thy last and fiercest strife is nigh;

The Father on His sapphire throne

Expects His own anointed Son.

Ride on! ride on in majesty!

In lowly pomp ride on to die;

Bow Thy meek head to mortal

pain,

Then take, O God, Thy power, and reign.

May God Bless Nigeria, America And Israel And Take Care Of Us; May God Make His Face Shine Upon Us, And Be Gracious To Us; May The Lord Lift Up His Countenance Upon Us, And Give Us Peace, In Jesus Christ Name, We Pray! Amen!

May The Grace The Lord Jesus Christ, And The Love Of God, And The Fellowship Of The Holy Spirit Be With You All. Amen!

Low in the grave He lay, Jesus, My Saviour

Habakkuk_3-19: The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.

Habakkuk_3-19: The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.

Low in the grave He lay

Jesus, My Saviour!

Waiting the coming day

Jesus, my Lord!

Up from the grave He arose,…

With a mighty triumph over His foes;

He arose, a Victor from the dark domain,

And He lives for ever with

His saints to reign;

He arose!… He arose!..

Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Vainly they watch His bed

Jesus, my Saviour!

Vainly they seal the dead

Jesus, my Lord

Death cannot keep His prey-

Jesus, my Saviour

He tore the bars away

Jesus, my Lord’

Head once filled with bruises

1-Corinthians_1-18: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God

1-Corinthians_1-18: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God

O head once filled with bruises.

Oppressed with pain and scorn:

Overwhelmed with sore abuses,

Mocked with a crown of thorn!

O head to death once wounded,

In shame upon the tree,

In glory now surrounded,

With brightest Majesty!

Thou, Lord, of all transcendent;

Thou life- creating Sun

To worlds on Thee dependent

Yet bruised and spit upon!

O Lord! what Thee tormented

Was our sin’s heavy load;

We had the debt augmented

Which Thou didst pay in blood.

We give thee thanks unfeigned,

Lord Jesus, Friend in need,

For what Thy Soul sustained.

When Thou for us didst bleed;

Grant us to lean unshaken

Upon Thy faithfulness,

Until to glory taken,

We see Thee face to face.

Amen!

It is finished! the Messiah dies

Job_19-25: For I know that my Redeemer lives

Job_19-25: For I know that my Redeemer lives

Tis finished! the Messiah dies:

Cut off for sins, but not His own:

Accomplished is the sacrifice,

The great redeeming work is done.

“Tis finished! all the debt is paid;

Justice divine is satisfied;

The grand and full atonement

made;

God for a guilty world hath died.

Psalms_19-14: Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer

Psalms_19-14: Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer

The veil is rent in Christ alone;

The living way to heaven is seen;

The middle wall is broken down,

And all mankind may enter in.

The types and figures are fulfilled,

Exacted is the legal pain;

The precious promises are sealed;

The spotless Lamb of God is slain.

The reign of sin and death is over

And all may live from sin set

free’

Satan hath lost his mortal power;

“Tis swallowed up in victory.

Saved from the legal curse I am,

My Saviour hangs on yonder tree;

See there the meek, expiring Lamb!

“Tis finished! He expires for me.

Accepted in the Well-beloved,

And clothed in righteousness divine,

I see the bar to heaven removed;

And all Thy merits, Lord, are mine.

Death, hell, and sin are now subdued;

All grace is now to sinners given;

And lo, I plead the atoning blood,

And in Thy right I claim Thy heaven.

In the Name of Jesus, Every knee shall bow, Every tongue confess Him. King of glory now

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts_2-38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

In the Name of Jesus

Every knee shall bow,

Every tongue confess Him

King of glory now:

‘Tis the Father’s pleasure

We should call Him Lord,

Who from the beginning

Was the Mighty Word.

Matthew_1-21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins

Matthew_1-21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins

At His voice, creation

Sprang at once to sight,

All the angel faces,

All the hosts of light,

Thrones and Dominations,

Stars upon their way,

All the heavenly orders,

In their great array.

Humbled for a season,

To receive a name

From the lips of sinners

Unto whom He came;

Faithfully He bore it,

Spotless to the last,

Brought it back victorious,

When from death He passed.

Bore it up triumphant,

With its human light,

Through all ranks of creatures,

To the central height,

To the throne of Godhead,

To the Father’s breast,

Filled it with the glory,

Of that perfect rest.

In your hearts enthrone Him:

There let Him subdue

All that is not holy,

All that is not true;

Crown Him as your Captain

In temptation’s hour;

Let His Will enfold you

In its light and power.

Brothers, this Lord Jesus

Shall return again

With His Father’s glory,

With His angel train;

For all wreaths of empire

Meet upon His brow,

And our hearts confess Him

King of glory now,

May God Bless Nigeria, America And Israel And Take Care Of Us; May God Make His Face Shine Upon Us, And Be Gracious To Us; May The Lord Lift Up His Countenance Upon Us, And Give Us Peace, In Jesus Christ Name, We Pray! Amen!

Before Thee we present.

All, glory, laud, and honour,

To thee, Redeemer, king

To whom the lips of children

Made sweet Hosannas ring.

To thee before Thy passion

They sang their hymns of praise;

Our melody we raise.

There is a name I love to hear

Romans_8-1:There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit

Romans_8-1:There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit

There is a name I love to hear,

 I love to sing its worth,

It sounds like music in mine ear,

The sweetest name on earth.

It tell me of a Saviour’s love

Who died to set me free,

It tells me of His precious blood,

The sinners perfect plea.

It bids my trembling soul rejoice,

And dries each rising tear;

It tells me in a “still small

voice,’

To trust and never fear.

Jesus, the name I love so well,

The name I love to hear,

No saint on earth its worth can

tell,

No heart conceive how dear,

This name shall shed its fragrance still

Along this thorny road,

Shall sweetly smooth the rugged hill

That leads me up to God.

And there, with all the blood-

bought throng,

From sin and sorrow free,

I’ll sing the new eternal song

Of Jesus’ love to me.

Amen!

Let earth and heaven agree

Psalms_91-11: For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Psalms_91-11: For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Let earth and heaven agree,

Angels and men be joined,

To celebrate with me

The Saviour of mankind;

To adore the all- atoning Lamb,

And bless the sound of Jesus

name.

Jesus, transporting sound!

The joy of earth and heaven;

No other help is found,

No other name is given,

By which we can salvation have;

But Jesus came the world to

save.

Jesus, harmonious name!

It charms the hosts above;

They evermore proclaim,

And wonder at His love;

‘Tis all their happiness to gaze

‘Tis heaven to see our Jesus’ face.

His name the sinner hears,

And is from sin set free;

‘Tis music in his ears,

‘Tis life and victory;

New songs do now his lips employ,

And dances his glad heart for joy.

Stung by the scorpion sin,

My poor expiring soul

The baImy sound drinks in,

And is at once made whole:

See there my Lord upon the tree!

I hear, I feel, He died for me.

O unexampled love!

O All- redeeming race!

How swiftly didst Thou move

To save a fallen race!

What shall I do to make it known

 What Thou for all mankind hast done?

O for a trumpet voice

On all the world to call;

To bid their hearts rejoice

In Him who died for all,

For all my Lord was crucified,

For all, for all my Saviour died!

Amen!

Jesus shall reign wherever the Sun, Do his successive journeys run

Matthew_6-33: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew_6-33: But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Jesus shall reign wherever the

sun

Doth his successive journeys run;

His kingdom stretch from shore to shore,

Till suns shall rise and set no

more.

For Him shall endless prayer be made,

And praises throng to crown His head;

His Name like sweet perfume shall rise

With every morning sacrifice.

People and realms of every tongue

Dwell on His love with sweetest song;

And infant voices shall proclaim

Their young hosannas to His Name.

Blessings abound wherever He reigns:

The prisoner leaps to lose his chains;

The weary find eternal rest;

And all the sons of want are blest.

Where He displays His healing power;

Death and the curse are known no more,

In Him the tribes of Adam boast

More blessings than their father lost.

Let every creature rise and bring,

Its grateful honours to our King;

Angels descend with songs again,

And earth prolong the joyful strain.

Take the name of Jesus with you

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts_2-38: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Take the name of Jesus with

you,

Child of sorrow and of woe;

It will joy and comfort give you-

Take it then where’er you go.

Precious name oh, how

sweet !..

Hope of earth and joy of heaven.

Precious name…. oh, how

sweet !..

Hope of earth and joy of heaven.

Take the name of Jesus ever,

As a shield from every snare;

If temptations round you gather,

Breathe that holy name in

prayer.

Oh, the precious name of

Jesus!

How it thrills our souls with joy,

When His loving arms receive us,

And His songs our tongues employ!

At the name of Jesus bowing,

Falling prostrate at His feet;

King of kings in heavri we’ll

crown Him

When our journey is complete.

Amen!

Not all the blood of beasts, On Jewish altars slain, Could give the guilty conscience peace, Or wash away the stain.

Ephesians_6-12: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places

Not all the blood of beasts,

On Jewish altars slain,

Could give the guilty conscience peace,

Or wash away the stain.

But Christ the heavenly Lamb,

Takes all our sins away;

A sacrifice of nobler name

And richer blood than they.

My faith would lay her hand

On that dear head of Thine,

While like a penitent I stand,

And there confess my sin.

My soul looks back to see

The burdens Thou didst bear,

When hanging on the cursed

And knows her guilt was there.

Believing, we rejoice

To see the curse remove:

We bless the Lamb with

cheerful voice

And sing His bleeding love!

1-Corinthians_14-33: For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Head of Thy Church triumphant

We joyfully adore Thee

Till Thou appear,

Thy members here

Shall sing like those in glory.

We lift our hearts and voices

With blest anticipation,

And cry aloud.

And give to God

The praise of our salvation.

The name we still acknowledge

That bursts our bonds asunder

And loudly sing

Our conq’ring King

In songs of joy and wonder

In every day’s deliverance

Our Jesus we discover

“Tis He, ‘tis He

That smote the sea

And led us safely over

While in affliction’s furnace

And passing through the fire

Thy love we praise

Which knows our days

And ever brings us nigher

We clap our hands exalting

In Thine almighty favour

The love divine

Which made us Thine

Shall keep us Thine for ever

By faith we see the glory

To which Thou shalt restore us

The cross despise

For that high prize

Which Thou hast set before us

And if Thou count us worthy

We each, as dying Stephen

Shall see Thee stand

At God’s right hand

To take us up to heaven.

Crown Him with many crowns, The Lamb upon His Throne

Hebrews_4-16: Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. .God's Throne Of Grace

Hebrews_4-16: Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. .God’s Throne Of Grace

Crown Him with many crowns,

The Lamb upon His Throne;

Hark! how the heav’nly anthems drowns

All music but its own:

Awake. My soul, and sing

Of Him who died for thee,

And hail Him as thy matchless king

Thro’ all eternity.

Crown Him the Virgin’s Son.

The God incarnate born.

Whose arm those crimson trophies won

Which now His brow a dorn:

Fruit of the mystic Rose,

As of that Rose the Stem;

The Root whence mercy ever

flows,

The Babe of Bethlehem.

Crown Him the Lord of love:

Behold His hands and side,

Those wounds yet visible above

In beauty glorified:

No angel in the sky

Can fully bear that sight,

But downward bends his

burning eye

At mysteries so bright.

Crown Him the Lord of life,

Who triumphed o’er the grave,

And rose victorious in the strife,

For those He came to save;

His glories now we sing;

Who died, and rose on high,

Who died -eternal life to bring,

And lives, that death may die.

Crown Him the Lord of peace,

Whose power a sceptre sways

From pole to pole, that wars

may cease,

And all be prayer and praise:

His reign shall know no end,

And round His pierced feet

Fair flowers Paradise extend

Their fragrance ever sweet.

Crown Him the Lord of years,

The Potentate of time,

Creator of the roiling spheres,

Ineffably sublime:

All hail, Redeemer, hail!

For Thou hast died for me;

Thy praise shall never, never fail

Throughout eternity.

Amen!

God is in the business of using our difficulties and setbacks for our ultimate good.

Romans_8-28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose

Romans_8-28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

We live in an often hostile world. We all experience suffering and disappointment, but God is in the business of using our difficulties and setbacks for our ultimate good.

Joseph dreamed he would be a leader, but after sharing his dream with his brothers, they seized Joseph and sold him into slavery. He was chosen to serve an Egyptian leader named Potiphar. Everything Joseph touched prospered, because the Lord was with him. After serving faithfully in Potiphar’s house, Potiphar’s wife – who was enthralled with young Joseph – tried to entice him and desired to sleep with the Hebrew slave, but he refused. The woman then falsely accused Joseph of making sexual advances toward her, and he was sentenced to prison.

Joseph remained in prison for some time, but God’s hand was upon him even in that dark place. He was entrusted with the charge of the prisoners. The keeper of the prison committed them into his hands.

Thirteen years lapsed since his brothers betrayed him. Throughout this time God silently worked in Joseph’s heart. The Lord used suffering to forge godly character within him. Joseph was then given the opportunity of a lifetime. He was asked to interpret Pharaoh’s dream. God gave Joseph the dream’s meaning. He explained to Pharaoh that Egypt would experience seven years of plenty followed by seven years of famine. He wisely communicated to the ruler that an individual should be put in charge who would save grain during the years of abundance to be used during the time of scarcity. Pharaoh appointed Joseph as second in command of Egypt, and his God-given insight saved multitudes from starvation.

His brothers came to Egypt in search of food. Joseph met them and chose to forgive them. He viewed his suffering as part of God’s overall plan. He said to his brothers,

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives” (Genesis 50:20).

God transformed Joseph’s suffering by his sovereign hand. And he works in our lives as well. When we place our pain and disappointments into the Father’s hand, he eventually brings healing, victory, and promotion into our lives. As we stay faithful to God, he weaves his goodness into our lives and causes the days of our darkness to be eclipsed by the sun.

We do experience pain in this life, but in the midst of our suffering, God is there. The Lord calls us to forgive our oppressors, and he eventually elevates us out of our hardships and causes us to shine for him. His plan is to use us for his kingdom and for his glory. Let’s choose faithfulness, let’s embrace forgiveness, and let’s offer all our emotional pain to Jesus. He loves us and he will transform our suffering into great glory. He will vindicate us and eventually cause us to prevail for his kingdom purposes.

Dear Sovereign Lord,

I worship You. I give to You my sorrows – the hurtful things I don’t understand. I give You my pain and ask You to transform my suffering into victory. Lord, have Your way in me. Help me to be faithful, and help me to forgive those that have harmed me. I entrust myself in Your care. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Amen!

Living life to the fullest.

1-Corinthians_15-58: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord

1-Corinthians_15-58: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord

“A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God…”

Ecclesiastes 2:24

Our consumer-driven culture tells us that, unless we have the best TV, the best car, and the best house filled with the best things, then we’re not living life to the fullest. And, isn’t life meant to be lived fully?

As we watch TV shows based in fantasy, we think, “That’s what my house needs to look like. That’s what my car needs to look like.” We may go into debt to make it happen, and then worry about our debt, not having enough, how we’re going to pay for things. We work longer hours, go in earlier, come home later, continue to acquire things, continue to pay on our debts, and continue to worry.

Our expectations can get totally out of control and destroy our happiness. As a result, we live in a world that is filled but unfulfilled, busy but unproductive. We’re constantly in a hurry, never really stopping to take in what it really means to live in this life today. Instead, we’re always worrying about tomorrow, never just living and enjoying the kingdom of God today, which is what Jesus asked us to do.

Don’t worry about tomorrow. Don’t worry about what is to come. A life filled with worry is not the kind of life God wants you to have. Amen?

Prayer: Dear Lord, I want to enjoy the life with which I have been blessed by You. When worry tries to steal my blessing, I will turn my thoughts to You. Amen.

Amen!

God Has Given Us Everything We Need To Live A Godly Life

Galatians_5-13: For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Galatians_5-13: For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.”

(Galatians 5:16)

I like to compare the Christian battle against sin to an individual swimming upstream against a surging current. His progress is slow and tortuous; he is constantly swept backward by powerful undercurrents. Hovering near the swimmer is a speedboat with a powerful motor. He can continue to try to swim upstream or he can choose to climb aboard the speedboat, which can easily whisk him up the river.

We have a similar choice. When battling evil spiritual forces, worldly influences, and our own fleshly temptations, we can either fail miserably by fighting temptation in our own efforts or defeat that sin-current that drags us down by living in the unlimited power of the Holy Spirit.

Peter explains, “By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the One who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence. ” (2 Peter 1:3) We do not have to clean up our messy lives before we invite God in; rather we appropriate God’s holiness through His Holy Spirit living His life within us.

The Scriptures assure us “that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him.” (I John 5:14-15 NIV)

We can become holy vessels of the all-powerful God by committing to live holy lives through being filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.

Are you tired of struggling to live the Christian life? Get in the boat! Let God’s awesome Spirit live through you every moment of every day. Then, and only then, will you have the power to live in obedience and joy.

Amen!

Live Up To God’s Standards Of Righteousness.

Romans_8-1:There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit

Romans_8-1:There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit

Romans 8:1-2

There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life in Christ has set me free from the law of sin and death.

Romans_8-2: For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Romans_8-2: For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Free at last, free at last, praise Lord God Almighty I am free at last.” Becoming a Christian means we have been liberated from law-keeping. We now have God living in us, through the Holy Spirit, to not only help us know His will, but to live it. Through the Spirit’s power, we can do what no law could make us do: live up to God’s standards of righteousness.

Prayer:

Gracious father, thank You for all of Your gifts to me. Today, I want to especially thank You for liberating me from law and empowering me with your Spirit. Fill me and empower me today with Your Spirit as I live my life for You. Through Jesus my Lord I pray. Amen.

True Partnership. You Will Be Surprised And Delighted To See What God Will Do In You When You Choose To Love People By An Act Of Faith.

Luke_6-28: Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you

Luke_6-28: Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you

“Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Pray for the happiness of those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.”

(Luke 6:27-28)

An attorney came to me with that familiar problem: a business partner he could not tolerate. The two men actually hated each other, criticizing and demeaning one another at every opportunity. Rather than speaking of God’s desires for that relationship, each man focused only on the unlovable traits of the other.

I reminded my friend, a new believer, that God’s Word commands us to love our enemies. I further suggested that he go to that other man, tell him he loved him, and ask his forgiveness for the way he had treated him. The attorney’s eyes grew wide. “I could never love him,” he said.

John_13-34: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

John_13-34: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

But in the end, he went in faith, confessed his lack of love for his partner, and asked for forgiveness. The partner was astounded. Nobody had ever come to him with such an attitude. He wanted to know how he could experience the kind of life my attorney friend had.

My friend led him to Christ, and they both came to share with me the miracle that God had performed in their lives. As a result, God created a deep and satisfying friendship between the two men. They began to experience God’s supernatural love individually and as a true partnership.

We are saved through faith, by God’s grace. We live by faith. We serve by faith. And we love by faith. You will be surprised and delighted to see what God will do in you when you choose to love people by an act of faith.

This very moment, think of that person who seems so difficult to love. Ask God to help you see that person as He sees him or her. Then step out in faith and take action, based on the right relationship you have claimed in the name and the truth of God.

Dear Lord, I Want To Live The Worry Free Life You Offered Me. Please Help Me. No More Worries

Luke_12-6: Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

Luke_12-6: Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?”

Matthew 6:25

Jesus has not only commanded us but has also offered us a way to live life worry free. No more worries. It doesn’t come from trying harder; it comes from training and it comes from the power of the Holy Spirit.

In Matthew 6, in the heart of the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus tells us we shouldn’t live to store up things and we shouldn’t live our whole lives geared towards acquiring wealth, although there’s nothing wrong with wealth.

Then, as he’s outdoors talking, there are birds flying around, and he looks up and says, “Look at the birds of the air. They don’t sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your Heavenly Father takes care of every one of them.” Now people are looking at these birds and how they just seem to enjoy life. They don’t worry about anything and everything they need is provided for them.

And he says, “Look how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin and yet I tell you that not even Solomon, in all of his splendor, was dressed like one of these.” Solomon, the richest, wealthiest man ever, even Solomon didn’t look as good as those flowers do. Will not God take much more care of you than he did these flowers that are here today and tomorrow and then thrown into the fire to be burned? They just become trash.

God wants more for us than the birds and the lilies, but like them, he wants us to live worry-free lives. Of course He does. We’re his kids

Prayer: Dear Lord, I want to live the worry free life you offer me. Help me, when worrisome thoughts enter my mind, to turn my thoughts to You. Amen.

It’s Time To Rip Some Things The Devil Has Tried To Make You Wear

Proverbs_18-10: The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe

Proverbs_18-10: The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe

49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him over!” They called out to the blind man and said, “Don’t be afraid! Come on! He is calling for you.” 50 The man threw off his coat as he jumped up and ran to Jesus.

Mark 10:49-50

Psalms_51-10: Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me

Psalms_51-10: Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. The LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! Indeed, the LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?”  Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and standing before the angel.   He spoke and said to those who were standing before him, saying, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” Again he said to him, “See, I have taken your iniquity away from you and will clothe you with festal robes.”  Then I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments, while the angel of the LORD was standing by.

Zechariah 3:1-5

It’s time to rip some things the devil has tried to make you wear. Get dressed in the reality of your redemption in Christ. You have access to new places. Dress up in honor. Put on a garment of praise right now!

Confession: I rejoice because I do not wear the same clothes that I used to wear! In Christ, I have new clothes!
