She Only Touched The Helm Of His Garment
As To His Side She Stole,

I Know What God’s Will Is For Me

Psalms_84-11: For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly

Romans 8:32
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

Some Christians mistakenly believe that God gives and also takes away. At funerals, we sometimes hear the minister say, “The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

I remember an occasion when I was looking at a baby who was suffering from cancer. I heard one of his family members comment, “You can’t be sure what God’s will is. He may or may not heal.” What that person meant was that although the Lord had given the parents this baby, He might later take the baby away from them.

Job displayed this very same attitude when he received the news that he had lost his property and children. Thinking that God was the source of his problems and not knowing that it was actually Satan who had come against him, he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Job 1:21) Such a statement seems to honor God, but in reality, it reveals an erroneous view of our heavenly Father.

As children of God, we know what the Father’s will is for us. He is a giver, not a taker! Jesus said, “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” (Luke 12:32) It is the devil who is the thief. He comes to steal, kill and destroy. But Jesus came to give us life more abundant. (John 10:10)

Jesus met every need and healed every sickness brought before Him, and at the cross, He gave His own life. Never once did He take anything away from the people who came to Him. And the Bible says that whoever has seen Jesus has seen the Father. (John 14:9)

Beloved, your heavenly Father wants you to know today that He is the one who gives you all good things. And if He has already given us heaven’s best — Jesus, “how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things”?

You Are Christ My Lord And Saviour!

Luke_2-11: For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

Mark 8:29
29He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said to Him, “You are the Christ.”

Do you know that how you see Jesus determines what you receive from Him? If you see Jesus as your healer, you will receive healing. If you see Jesus as your refuge and fortress, you will receive protection.

The people of Nazareth, Jesus’ hometown, saw Jesus in the natural. They said of Him, “Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? And His sisters, are they not all with us?” (Matthew 13:55–56) They saw Jesus in the natural. They did not see Him as God in the flesh. As a result, He could not do many mighty works there. (Matthew 13:58)

Today, many people, including some philosophers, see Jesus of Nazareth as a good person who led an exemplary life. They feel that if all of us could live our lives like Him, the world would be a better place.

They don’t see Jesus as the bread of God who came from heaven to give life to the world. (John 6:33) They don’t see Him as the one who came to give them living water, so that they would never thirst again. (John 4:14) They don’t see Him as the Lamb of God, who took away the sin of the world. (John 1:29) They don’t receive from Him what they need because they don’t esteem Him rightly.

Jesus did not come just to set a good example for man to follow. He came to be our Redeemer. (Galatians 3:13) He came to be our righteousness. (1 Corinthians 1:30) He came to be our shepherd, so that we will not lack anything. (Psalm 23:1)

Jesus asked His disciples once, “But who do you say that I am?” How you answer this question depends on how you see Jesus. And how you see Jesus will determine how and what you receive from Him. So see Him as your God, as everything He claims to be in His Word, and He will do mighty works in your life

God’s Love For Me

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I want to share a very powerful truth with you today. As you receive it, you will be empowered for everything God has for your life!

First, let us understand just how much God loves you.

Remember the story of how God asked Abraham to give up Isaac, his only son, in Genesis 22? Abraham’s heart must have been broken when he led Isaac, his one and only promised son, up Mount Moriah to be sacrificed.

But in the end, Isaac did not have to die because God provided a substitute—a ram. That ram caught in the thicket was a picture of Jesus, God’s precious Son, the apple of His eye, who would one day be led up Mount Calvary to be crucified in our place for our sins.

God so loved His Son, but He so loved you too, that He willingly gave up His Son for you to die on the cross.

That, my friend, is how much God loves you! And it is this truth that will help you to break down the barriers in life, conquer every defeatist thought, and succeed in whatever you set your hands to!

The apostle Paul explains it like this in Ephesians 3:14-17, NKJV, “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man…”

I like how the NIV puts it, where the words “strengthened with might” are translated as “strengthened with power”. The power Paul is talking about is actually a power that comes as a result of having a revelation of something.

The scripture continues by saying God will strengthen you with power [or with might], “through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love…”

So Paul was praying for you to be rooted and grounded in God’s love, so that you may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width, the length, the depth, the height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge—and be filled with ALL the fullness of God!

This means that when you are rooted and grounded in God’s love, you are truly strengthened with power, and have access to all that God is—wisdom, strength, peace, favor, health, provision…

Nothing can get you down—there is no insurmountable challenge, no unachievable dream—when you know that you are truly empowered by God’s love.

Even when the devil starts throwing lemons at you, you know that God will turn those lemons into refreshing lemonade for you!

Are you battling with sickness or depression? Are you faced with a financial lack? Are you handling a troubled relationship with your child, spouse or your boss?

I want to encourage you to saturate yourself with a fresh revelation of the love of God. It will cause you to have such a confidence of God’s goodness toward you, and trust that God has already provided His fullness for whatever lack you are facing.

In the midst of your challenges, instead of worrying and doubting if God is for you, you’ll live with such a strong, solid assurance in your heart, that if God did not withhold His one and only precious Son, He will not withhold anything good from you today! (Romans 8:32) Surely, He is more than willing to pour out His blessings into your finances, He is more than willing to grant you divine health, and He is more than willing to cause you to see favor in all your significant relationships.

Therefore, more than anything else that you are pursuing, pursue the love of God for you. In the intimate presence of the Lord, you’ll hear Him cheering you on to pursue the dream that He has placed in your heart.

What freedom that gives you! So live life conscious of how deeply loved you are by God. Truly, you are empowered by His vast and unconditional love!

Allow His perfect love to beam down upon you in all its warmth, radiance and beauty. No matter what may be happening around you, you are safe and secure in His unconditional love. Let His love be an anchor for your faith, and expect good things to happen to you.

Are you ready to receive the fullness of God’s love in your life?

This month, I want to encourage you to focus on God’s love for you. Meditate on and experience God’s love for you, and be empowered to defeat your giants and succeed in life!

Living in the fullness of God’s love,

See your heavenly Father’s deep and unconditional love for you every single day. Allow His perfect love to empower you to overcome every challenge in your life!

I Will Not Weep For Christ Understands My Struggles And He Sympathizes With My Weaknesses

Luke 7:13

13When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.”

There is no trial, difficulty or challenge we face today that our Lord Jesus cannot identify with. The moment we experience a trial, right there and then, because He “was in all points tempted as we are” (Hebrews 4:15), He feels it too and is able to sympathize with our weaknesses.

Jesus’ compassion for you is the same compassion He felt for the widow at Nain when He saw the dead body of her only son being carried out of the city gate to be buried. (Luke 7:11–15) It must have been terrible for her to experience the death of her only son after having already experienced the death of her husband. What a horrible thought to be left all alone in the world with no means of support! When Jesus saw her, He was moved with compassion and said to her, “Do not weep.”

Now, some religious leaders might also be moved to approach her, but only to say, “Look sister, something is terribly wrong. Your husband died. Now, your only son has died. You must find out what is wrong. You better ask God what sin you have committed and repent. Or perhaps there is a curse in your life that needs to be broken.”

Isn’t it beautiful that Jesus did not extend more confusion or condemnation toward her? He only extended His compassion to her, telling her, “Don’t weep.” This same Jesus will also come to you when you are most distraught and say, “Don’t cry.”

And Jesus’ sympathy does not stop at “Oh, you poor thing! I am so sorry about what has happened to you.” No, His sympathy will move Him to give you the miracle you need in your life. That is why He raised the widow’s son back to life!

Beloved, rest in the truth that He who is seated at the Father’s right hand today understands what you are going through and sympathizes with your weaknesses. The compassion of Jesus toward you causes Him to breathe life into your dead situation and turn it around for your good! Amen!

In Our Weakest Moment. Holy Spirit!

2-Corinthians_12-9: And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me

Romans 8:26
26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Once, when my father was hospitalized, I remember driving as fast as I could to the hospital to see him because his condition was deteriorating rapidly. I was just sobbing in my car on the way there. I didn’t know what to pray. So I just cried and prayed in tongues, groaning in my spirit.

I believe that at that very low point, the Holy Spirit was helping me in my weaknesses — “For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered”.

The events that soon unfolded in the hospital convinced me that just a groan or sigh will reach the throne of our Abba Father.

I managed to reach the hospital just in time to clasp my father’s hand before he was wheeled in for surgery. The surgeons came out of the operating theatre some time later to inform my mother that they didn’t need to do anything after they had opened him up because they discovered that “surgery” had already been done on him!

Surprised, my mother answered, “He has never been operated on. I am his wife. I should know.” Not convinced, the surgeons told my father when he regained consciousness, “We opened you up and found that surgery had already been done. Whoever did it did a perfect work.”

Equally surprised, my dad told them, “I have never had surgery done on me.”

“No, you have!” the surgeons insisted.

As my parents and the doctors continued arguing, I found myself thinking, “My goodness, I didn’t even pray for a miracle on my way to the hospital. Yet, a miracle has just happened!”

My friend, when we who are God’s children groan as we pray in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us with groanings which will reach the throne of our Abba Father, and cause Him to move powerfully on our behalf!

A senior Pastor with the The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Lokoja, Kogi State, Pastor Ayo Funsho, was kidnapped by some unidentified gunmen while he was preaching in his Parish, the Resurrection Parish, on Sunday January 12th. According to Tribune, the armed men stormed the church and started shooting sporadically, causing pandemonium in the church.
The armed men then went straight to the pulpit where they took the pastor, placed him in their vehicle and left. The abductors then contacted his family demanding a ransom of N50 million.

However, the Kogi State command of the Nigeria Police said it was not aware of the incident as the matter has not being reported to them.

A. GOD IS REBRANDING MY DESTINY THIS YEAR

By my faith in the prophetic: word, I shall be turned into another man this year – I Sam. 10:6
By my commitment to living a sanctified life, I shall be going from glory to glory all through this year – 2 Tim. 2:19-2I
As I walk in the light of scriptures, I shall be going from one realm of glory to another all through 20l6- 2 Cor. 3:18
As I commit myself to fruitful kingdom stewardship, I shall be going from one level of glory to another – 1 Cor.3:10-12
By my commitment to putting the word of God to work as a way of life, I shall be moving from one realm of glory to another – Is. 60:1/22
Because I believe the 2016 prophetic word, I am entitled to minimum 4 change of levels this year, that is ONE every 3 months of the year – 2 Sam. 6:10-11
According to the prophetic word, God has given me a name and all my mockers shall see the glory of God in my life this year. – Is. 62:2-3
As a true member of the ever-winning church and because this church has never known a better yesterday, my spiritual, family, business and career life will never go down again – 1 Sam 10:10

B. 2016 SHALL BE A MOST SPIRITUALLY BOUYANT YEAR FOR ME

As I exercise myself unto godliness, 2016 shall be a most profitable year for me till date – 1 Tim 4:7-8
As I commit to a studious life, the Lord shall cause His word to be revealed to me like never before, thereby paving the way for me to a world of exploits – Dan.11:32
As I engage the altar of prayer and fasting in my search of scriptures, every encounter with light shall open new chapters of glory in my life. – Jer. 33:3
As I engage the altar of prayer and fasting this year:
1. Every bondage of hell around my life shall be shattered -Is. 58:6

My health shall spring forth speedily -Is. 58:8/Jer. 33:21-25
I shall continue to enjoy divine guidance into realms of greater glory -Is. 58:11
I shall be like a watered garden whose waters fail not -Is. 58:11
My generation after me shall continue to erupt into realms of greater grace and glory -Is. 58:12
I shall be empowered into my high places -Is. 58:14

C. 2016, MY YEAR OF DIVINE SURPRISES

As I continue to grow in love for Christ, I shall be spring new surprises all through this year – 1 Cor. 2:9
With the love of God at work in my life, I shall be visited after the order of Abraham, God’s own friend, thereby leading me to my high places – Gen.12:1-3/Gal.3:13-14
. Because I believe in the prophetic word, it shall be said of me this year, “is he also among the giants in the land?” – 1 Sam.10:11-12
By the wisdom of God at work in my life, my life shall be an exclamation among men and no more a question mark – Matt.13:54

D. 2016, MY YEAR OF DIVINE SPEED

By the power of light, the year 2016 shall accelerate my steps in destiny – Jer.1:11-12/Is.60:1-3/22
As I engage the anointing of the Holy Spirit, divine speed shall attend to all my endeavours this year – Lk.4:14/37
As my zeal and passion for the things of God burns hotter, divine speed shall be my portion all through this year – 1 Kings 18:20/24/41-46
The order of divine speed that attended to Nehemiah, which empowered him to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem in 52 days through the altar of prayer and fasting, shall attend to me this year – Neh.1:4-11/Neh. 6:15

E. 2016, THE GIANT IN ME IS COMING ALIVE

By redemption, I carry the DNA of the giant in my being – Matt.5:13-15/Matt.11:11
As I follow the steps of Christ, the giant in me shall be made manifest for all to see – Matt.14:19
As I commit to the steps of Abraham by obeying every divine instruction passed down to me, the “global giant” in me shall come alive – Is.51:1-3/John 8:39
. As I dedicate my life to the advancement of the kingdom this year, I shall emerge a giant after the order of Christ. – John 12:23-26

F. 2016, MY YEAR OF ENLARGEMENT

As I continue to engage the virtue of meekness, there shall be no end to my enlargement this year. – Matt.5:5
As I continue to burn with passion for the oppressed, I shall be visited after the order of Gideon, which shall turn me to a pace-setter in my lineage, nation and world at large – Judges 6:15
The man Moses was said to be very meek and came out to be very great. Therefore, as I grow in meekness, I shall begin to ascend into higher realms of glory – Num.12:3/Ex.11:3
As I engage the altar of sacrifice this year after the order of Solomon, supernatural enlargement shall answer to me – 1 Kings 3:3

G. 2016 SHALL BE A SICKNESS-FREE YEAR FOR ME

As I commit to kingdom-advancement endeavours, total health shall be my portion all through the year 2016 – Pro.13:37/2 Cor.5:19-20
As I walk in the light of the truth, my dominion over sickness and disease shall be established this year – Job 33:21-25/2 Cor.2:14
As I engage the covenant practice of tithing, the devourer of health shall be rebuked for my sake this year – Mal.3:10-11
As I serve God and the interests of His kingdom as a lifestyle, He shall take every sickness away from my life this year – 2 Ex. 23:25-26
As I engage the shield of faith, all the fiery darts of sickness and disease shall be quenched finally in my life this year – Eph. 6: 16

H. 2016 SHALL BE A CRISIS-FREE YEAR FOR ME

As I seek the Lord all through this year, I shall not lack any good thing – Ps. 34: 10
As I continue to set my love upon Him, He shall deliver me and set me on high above all mine enemies – Ps. 91: 14
As I continue to put my trust in God, He shall not allow the rod of the wicked to fall upon my lot all through this year and beyond – Ps. 125:1-3
As I continue to walk in the light of God’s word, He shall cause me to triumph always and in enemy place all through this year – 2 Cor. 2: 14
As I engage the wisdom of God, all my ways shall be ways of pleasantness and all my paths, peace – Pro. 3: 17
As I covenant to serve God with all my heart and with the whole of my desire, He shall give me rest round about and cause all my struggles to cease. – 2 Chr. 15:12-19

I. 2016 SHALL BE MY YEAR OF FINANCIAL TURNAROUND

As I delight myself greatly in God’s commandment, the financial giant in me shall come alive in 20l6 – Ps. 112:1-3
As I serve the interests of the kingdom with my resources this year, I shall spend my days in prosperity and my years in pleasures – Job 36:11
As I commit to giving to the needy around me this year, an end shall come to enemy form of lack and want in my life – Pro. 28:21
As I uphold financial integrity in my financial dealings, I shall not suffer any downward trend in my finances again – Zech. 5:4
As I engage and become consistent in my tithing this year, I shall come under an open heaven order of blessings, that shall turn me to the envy of the world – Mal. 3: 10

J. FROM 2016 AND BEYOND, I SHALL NEVER BE ASHAMED AGAIN

By my faith in the prophetic: word, God is turning every shame of my life to laughter this year after the order of Sarah – Gen. 2I: 1-6
As I engage the ministry of the Holy Spirit this year, God shall be visiting every shame of my life with double restoration of glory – ls. 61:I /7
As I effectively engage the altar of prayer, God is turning the shame of barrenness to testimonies of glory after the order of Hannah in my life this year – I Sam. I : 13-19
As I continue to favour things of the kingdom, the favour of God in response shall shatter every marital spell in my life as I shall be gloriously married and settled this year – Ps. 102:13-15/Pro. 18:22
Because I believe in God and in His prophet, all my family, career and business challenges shall be turned into testimonies with speed this year – Hos. I2:13
Because I believe in the prophetic: word for the year 20l6, everything standing on the way of my operating in the realms of greater glory shall be visited with divine vengeance this year -ls.63:4

COVENANT OPPORTUNITIES FOR KINGDOM SERVICES

“And ye shall serve the Lord your God and he shall bless thy bread and water, and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren in thy land. The number of your days I will fulfill. I will send my fear before thee and will destroy all the people to whom thou shall come, and I will make all thy enemies turn their backs unto thee. Ex 23:25-27. At the living Faith Church, Choba, we have several service opportunities which constitutes avenues for ministering to the saints and fulfilling our covenant obligations. Below are the available opportunities and the duties:

USHERING UNIT psalm 84:10

Functions

Create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the church services, show kindness and care to those in need of physical support, receive worshippers and usher them to their seats, ensure orderliness in the service, and distribution of church related materials such as handbills, leaflets, books etc

SANCTUARY KEEPING (Exodus 19:10-11, Gen 2:15)

Functions

Ensure that the Gods sanctuary and the entire church premises are well kept unto the glory of his name.

Sanctuary keepers meet every Saturday at 6am

SECURITY (Neh 7:8)

Functions

Ensure the security of lives and property particularly vehicle ;) within and around the church premises. Membership is by application, serving military personnel, paramilitary personnel, ex-service men; security service operators are welcome to the unit.

TRAFFIC CONTROL UNIT (2 Chron, 1:14)

Functions:

Attend to vehicular movement in and outside the church premises and the adjoining road leading to the church. Membership is by application. FRSC personnel, vehicle inspection officers, traffic wardens, police officers and all other traffic related professionals are welcome.

TECHNICAL UNIT: (Exo. 36:1-2)

Functions

Ensure effective functioning of audio-visual and electrical equipment during church service. Sets up and maintain the public address systems in the church. Also carry out production of teaching CDS, Cassettes, DVDS, MP3 e.t.c, and making same available for members on request.

CHOIR (2Chro. 5:13-14)

Functions:

Lead the congregation to offer quality Praise and Worship, render appropriate music, minister inspirational and spiritual songs. Experience in singing ability and skill to play instruments will be an advantage

CROWD CONTROL UNIT (CCU) (1 Cor.14:40)

Functions

Ensure orderly human traffic, within and around the church premises during church services.

CHILDREN/TEEN CHURCH TEACHERS (Deut.6:6-7)

Functions

Present the gospel to the children at their own level of understanding. Teach and instruct the teens in the way of the Lord. Maintain order in the children /teens section of the church.

DECORATION UNIT (Exo.31:2-9)

Functions

Ensure the beautification of the church auditorium and its other halls for all occasions.

MEDICAL UNIT (Luke 10:33-34)

Functions

Attend to medical needs during services. Direct and help church members in need of medical attention at the church clinic and during healing school programs. Membership is open to medical Doctors, nurses and other health workers and professionals.

HOSPITALITY (Romans 12:13, Hebrews 13:1-2)

Functions

Attend to the welfare of worshippers. Create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere during the church services. Show kindness and care to those in need of physical support

TRANSPORT UNIT (Isaiah 2:3, Micah 4:1-2)

Functions

Ensure easy and smooth commuting of worshippers to and from church. Direct all buses through their designated routes. Ensure smooth flow of passengers in and out of the buses.

EVANGELISM UNIT (John 15:16)

Functions

Ensure that new converts are kept in the faith through regular visits and phone calls.etc

Organize periodic evangelism to bring the lost sheep back to Christ.

PROTOCOL UNIT

Welcomes special guest and provide relevant information to all worshipers.
