Rise Up And Praise Him

rileyammoretti's avatarrileyammoretti

Today is THE day!

It is time for us as the body of Christ to get up off of our kiesters, and give glory to our Lord! Let us rise up, and worship Him with all we have! Let us praise Him for His mighty works in our life! Let us thank Him for His sacrifice on the cross! And if you can’t muster up some worship from that alone…. Worship Him for waking you up this morning!!

Our God is Mighty, Holy, Redeemer, Glory, Lightness, Forgiveness, Grace, Mercy, Counselor, Guidance, Sustainer, Deliverer…

He is the Alpha, the Omega… First, Last, In-between, the Beginning and the End… Highest above all names, the Possessor of the Earth… Magnificent, and Radiant IS HE!!!!!

His love and mercy go far beyond our comprehension… He is Power, He is Joy, He is Love. He is Love.

I can’t help but have a stirring in…

Happy Mother’s Day!!

seashoremary's avatarAbide In Me

Happy Mother’s Day!!

Summary:

11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness,

but rather expose them.

{Ephesian 5:11}

Jesus Christ is the answer to all of our problems.  Are you saved?  Do youknow Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?

“I am the vine, you are the branches.

He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears muchfruit;

for without Me you can do nothing.

{John 15:5}

Pray to the One who saves man’s soul from eternal darkness separated from the giver of Life, Jesus Christ. Ask Him into your heart, repent from your wrong doings (sin) and accept Him into your daily lives. He is faithful; He is forgiving; He will save you.

Let Your Living Water Flow

Stay safe. Be blessed.

Hang Strong, Be You

Ricklee's Poetry Plus's avatarricklee's poetry plus

Do you feel lonely and

blue?

Did you lose the only

friend you had?

All by yourself day

after day?

That’s okay.

Hang tough.

Hang strong, be you.

Hang tough, sigh, cry or

deny, be blue..

Just get in touch with the

right mood.

You always have someone

by your side.

Look inside and ask,

How and why?

Inner self knows.

You can bounce back.

Get in touch with you.

It’s about learning to

let go.

Not loosing control.

Not holding onto the pain.

Letting it slip out.

Out into the rain.

Is the way to roll.

Sorrowful less than before.

Hanging onto our friendship

the best I can to you.

As you frown at me.

Sorry for the after

No matter that you hate me

through and through.

I’ll always look up to you..

Outrageous work conditions in Athens, Greece.

Outrageous work conditions in Athens, Greece's avatarK. Ms' Blog

Yes, I am a disgruntled employee. Read my story and then judge me, if you consider it necessary.

My odyssey began on the 13th of August 2011 (the night before my 43rd birthday). From what I can recall, it was about 2:30 a.m. when three hoodlums appeared out of nowhere and began, for no reason, to beat up a group of prostitutes close to the entrance of the hotel where I work. This is nothing new as the entire city block surrounding the ‘Athens Center Square Hotel’ during the evening hours is overshadowed by (under aged) prostitutes, homeless people, drug users, traffickers, stray dogs and small time pick pockets and violent thieves. I also wish to inform you that I have been employed as the security guard on the night shift since the 13th of June 2009 – despite the fact that on paper I am registered…

Analysis: Meshal loses control of Hamas military wing as authority moves to Gaza leadership

The Middle-East Observer's avatarThe Middle-East Observer

Though he is expected to keep his position following an internal Hamas vote in the next few weeks, Khaled Mashaal, leader in exile of the Islamist movement, has lost his control over both the budget and the military wing which are now controlled by the Gaza-based leadership. This reflects a larger shift of authority within Hamas.

Difficult times will come. Revelation 6:12-17 and the sixth seal.

remso's avatarA Voice in the Wilderness

Do you understand why I am writing about the Revelation and trying to explain it?

It is because, I, like you, wanted to understand what was going on around me. Having grown up I church I have heard every absurd teaching – some not so ridiculous, but I could not comprehend nor remember what they said; and, none of it made sense. My attempts at understanding the prophetic aspects of the bible, were, for years, like swimming in dirty water, the more you move about in it, the muddier it gets.

One day, many years ago, after my life collapsed around me, I had to move back in with the parents. I was walking back to my room after a shower and my father was watching Glenn Beck, when he was still on Fox news, he interviewed the author Joel Richardson. Joel was talking about his recent book, The…

Sticks and Stones

Paul E. Dawn Jr. aka The Mayor :-)'s avatarHill Country Thoughts

“Harsh words can hit and stick like shrapnel in the mind. Tragically a victim might spend the better part of a lifetime trying to get the brain to unload it. Whoever thought up the saying, “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me” ought to be drawn and quartered. Nothing could be further from reality. Unfair names and ugly words do harm us, and that harm can be permanent. We need to guard what we say about other people, especially our children and loved ones.” (Getting Through The Tough Stuff by Charles R. Swindoll, Page 27)

The above quote is spot on. It is something we really do need to realize. The power that is in the words we speak, the things that we say. They do effect others. They can do extreme damage to the heart and soul of a person.

Even when we…

What Happened To Christmas?

minimalistsouls's avatarminimalistSOULS

28-christmas-gifts.w710.h473.2x

Isn’t Christmas supposed to be a time of celebration with family and friends? This is a question I have asked myself over and over these past couple of days. I struggled with these same thoughts last year around this same time and I really thought that those struggles were left behind last year. Yet I find myself once again this season with the same thoughts.

You see to me Christmas has always been a special time. Not only because I celebrate as a person of faith the birth of Jesus Christ, but as far as I can remember, Christmas has been a time filled with so many wonderful memories of my childhood. You see I can remember a time where you would walk into our home and literally smell the good chocolate chips cookies my mom was baking in the oven, Christmas music would be playing in the background and…

This prayer’s is originally authored by Dr.Bill Wiston for the city of Chicago.

Father, we come boldly to your throne of grace interceding for the City of Philadelphia.  We thank you that your eyes are upon this city and your ears are open to our prayers.  Father, thank you for preserving this city and bringing restoration and wholeness to our communities.  We pray for a spiritual awakening in the hearts of West Philly residents.  Restore faith and vision in this generation and ignite in them a holy fire and godly passion that will destroy every unclean influence.  We decree that Jesus is Lord over Philadelphia!  Every strategy that the enemy has devised against the people in this city is hindered and defeated.

In the name of Jesus we bind the strongmen that have held Philadelphia in bondage.  We bind the spirits of greed, violence, murder, suicide and self destruction.  We bind the…

Ephesians 4:13 KJV
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Sirs I write with great joy there is great power in unity Sirs many would think the church is divided but it is not Sirs it is not in words but in power charity is God and God is power and in God lies every other good thing. We are part of the body of God and if we be as such we ought not to live as though it is not. Sirs the wolves have come among the sheeps thus the tares among the wheat and thus has God allowed it to be that at the end he would separate by power the chaff from the wheat…

Garden talk

yourstrulyjesss's avatarContemplating the Glory

Having just celebrated Easter, I’ve been thinking a lot about Jesus’ last hours before the crucifixion.  A book I’m reading right now highlights how the Garden of Gethsemane is where Jesus’ humanity “gushes out.”  It is such a raw scene, painful. In light of Romans 5:12-21, I think it’d be useful and fruitful to compare the two most famous garden scenes of the bible: Gethsemane and Eden. The first Adam and the Last Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45). The begining of the curse and its end.

I’ve found that throughout life, different aspects of God’s nature leave you awestruck at different times.  And it’s usually simple truths you’ve known your whole Christian life but for some reason that you can’t articulate these truths all of a sudden hit you like an anvil falling from the third story in an old cartoon. For instance I’ve gone through a phase where his…
