Atime for every purpose under heaven:

1 John 2:22 says “Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist”.

2) Anti-Christs have existed since the time of John.

1 John 2:18 says “Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared. From this, we know that the last hour has come.”

3) The Anti-Christ is not just people, but some systems have anti-christ origins.

Be at alert brethren, we are waging war against forces of darkness.

(Father God, I pray that you guide us and keep us. I pray Father that you give us the spirit of discernment to know when someone or something is anti-christ or has anti-christ origins. I pray all of these in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen).

Simple or made into an Elf
What is music to a born deaf?
Same question goes without tongues
Pot or Chef, who spoilt the stock?

What are perfumes without nostrils
Even when fragrance grow on trees
The soft wool would be seen as steel
If all senses had no way to feel.

Like bakers bake flours into cakes
Water seeds, love is give and take
With all of you, you should both love
Not one-sided, with push and shove

Pay concern to passion and needs
Dancing together to your hymns
Storms and rainbows demystified
Harmonise hearts, love is blind.

A Letter to Who I Thought You Were

Letting go of something you never truly had is impossible. In order to let go, you must have first obtained it – first have had something to hold on to. So, how exactly does this work?

I never really had you. I only had the idea of who you were. I had the hopes, the desires, the over-analyzed moments, I, wrongly, had the expectations. You were my prince, my knight, my dream man…but were you really?

Expectations are a funny thing.

You can think and think and think and build someone up, turning them into an ideal, rather than seeing them for their reality. That is where I went wrong. I dreamt, I fantasized, I thought, I plotted, I discussed – not who you were, but who I had hoped that you would be.

A friend recently shared with me how he was being more intentional with the people currently in his life. How he was thinking about all of the friendships he currently had in order to examine the “value” found in each relationship. What value he brought to each person and vice versa.

You know in that moment of hearing him speak about “value”, I though how I’d never really been that intentional with my friendships or relationships period. I mean yes, I believe God has blessed me with some pretty awesome discernment to where I always know what place an Individual would hold in my life but not to the extreme of the actual value each person held in my life.

Then, while thinking about “value” just the other day,God asked me,
“Do you know your own personal worth and value that you bring to the people around you?”.

We could have sat on the steps of Montmartre,

With about three weeks left before the highly anticipated mid-term elections I know it’s hard to keep up on events occurring in other parts of the world. I like to think of myself as someone that is fairly well read, especially when it comes to foreign affairs, but a story from last weeks New York Times caught me a bit off guard. Brazil, the country known for bringing us such fabulous imports like Soccer star Pele and the thong bikini (Aren’t we all indebted to the thong for inspiring Sisqo to produce such an amazing song?) was embroiled in a heated presidential election.

While I’m no expert on Brazilian politics I have followed the countries developments to improve education, eradicate poverty, and improve the welfare state. I was an admirer of previous president Lula da Silva, and was intrigued with Brazil’s desire to implement a Universal Basic Income. I know…
