Our worship is right only when we are right with God and with others.

READ:John 12:1-8

Then Mary took a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped His feet with her hair. —John 12:3

Shortly before Jesus was crucified, a woman named Mary poured a bottle of expensive perfume on His feet. Then, in what may have been an even more daring act, she wiped His feet with her hair (John 12:3). Not only did Mary sacrifice what may have been her life’s savings, she also sacrificed her reputation. In first-century Middle Eastern culture, respectable women never let down their hair in public. But true worship is not concerned about what others think of us (2 Sam. 6:21-22). To worship Jesus, Mary was willing to be thought of as immodest, perhaps even immoral.

Some of us may feel pressured to…

God Knows What We Need

“We do not know how to pray as we should. But the Spirit himself speaks to God for us.” Romans 8:26

You know, we really don’t know what to pray for, do we? What if God had answered every prayer that you ever prayed? Just think who you’d be married to. Just think where you’d be living. Just think what you’d be doing.

God loves us so much that sometimes he gives us what we need and not what we ask.

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth

Love does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth

1 Corinthians 13:6

“[Love] does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth.”

NKJV

Many years ago a popular Christian group wrote a song titled, “Luv is a Verb.” While their spelling may have been off, the truth of the song was not. Love is not simply a feeling or intellectual process but an active expression. This view of love seen in scripture is purposeful and benevolent. It actively engages others, thinking of them above ourselves. Biblical love is not hindered by anything but seeks with passion to be shared with anyone and everyone.

How is this possible? How can we even begin to love in a way that looks for opportunities rather than excuses? Simply put, we plug into the source of love. Friend, the God of all creation left everything in heaven for you and me…

Because God Never Changes, My Future Is Secure And Eternal

God Never Changes

Faith vs. Sight

“Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.”

(Romans 5:2)

Faith is essential to the Christian life. But until we realize our faith is in the God who never changes, we will tend to walk by sight.

All of us have natural, everyday faith. This is the faith we exhibit in the ordinary things we do. When we sip a glass of water, we trust that it is pure. When we board an airplane, we have faith that the builders, the air traffic controllers, and the pilot know what they are doing. This type of faith comes from our senses. If the water looks odd or smells funny, we do not…

You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore

Русский: Молитва

“You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your

right hand are pleasures forevermore.” -Psalm 16:11

One morning, I read the scripture verse above. As I did, I felt a peace that can

only come from God washing over me. Three very simple sentences – almost a complete

summary of the entire contents of the Bible‘s 66 books and 1,300 pages.

What more needs to be said?

* God does promise to reveal to you, day by day, the path that you should follow.

* God does promise you the fullness of joy when you seek His presence.

* God does promise you pleasures forevermore when you choose to place yourself in

His hands and no one else’s.

Sounds idyllic, but can it really be that simple? Well, yes and no.

I’ve read the entire Bible all the way through many…

Put your seeds in Jesus’ hands and let Him deal with your situation

Put your seeds in Jesus’ hands and let Him deal with your situation

One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him,
There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small
fishes: but what are they among so many
John 6: 8-9

Philip said, “Forget it! There’s no way we can feed this many.” But Andrew started out the right way, saying, “There is a little guy here
who has five loaves and two fishes. That’s something, but what are five
loaves and two fishes going to do for this many people?”

Have you ever had a bill due and didn’t have the money to pay it? When
you find yourself in such a situation, you should not be need conscious
but seed conscious. If you don’t have enough to meet your need, then
you look at what you…

Doing The Word Of God

And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses

Exodus 12:35

The key to getting the power is in this verse: doing according to the

Word. The Israelites had received the Word of the Lord, but the Word

they received from the Lord came through a man. Lightning has to strike

some people before they will do what they have to do. They will sit

down with the pastor and he will tell them, from the Word, what they

need to do, yet they won’t do it because they didn’t get spiritual

goosebumps. Then they ask, “Where’s the power, God?” Well, they didn’t

do what God said.

The Israelites had not talked to God personally. They just trusted that

God knew what He was doing when He put Moses over them. So when Moses

said that this was what God wanted them…

Walk into Your Miracle Today!

“….just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too
might walk in newness of life.” -Romans 6:4

Jesus asks you today, “Do you want to be healed? Do you want a miracle?”

Why would anyone not say “Yes!” to their miracle?

Well, you might be held back from saying yes to your miracle because it would mean
that you would have to let go. For example, a woman recently came to see me. She
was living under an irrational fear that she was going to be stricken with cancer.
First, she thought she had breast cancer. But the doctor had told her there was
nothing wrong with her. Then, she thought a suspicious mole was skin cancer. Again,
the doctor examined her and told her that she did not have cancer. This went on
as she…

Every Other Miracle Prepares for the Grand Miracle

Written by Sheila Schuller Coleman

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory
as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” -John 1:14/ESV

I absolutely love this quote from C. S. Lewis in his book, Miracles, and I feel
it is important to delve deeper into it. As you may recall, C.S. Lewis reminds us
that all of us have already received the one miracle we all need. Without it – we
are lost forever. He calls it the Grand Miracle – the incarnation – when God became
man – and that Man, Jesus, died in our place and is risen.

C. S. Lewis had this to say about the Grand Miracle: “Every other miracle prepares
for this, or exhibits this, or results from this.” Every other miracle…

God Is Able To Do What You cannot do

God is able to do what you cannot do

God is able to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think

If your father were Bill Gates and your computer crashed, where would you turn? If Stradivari were your dad and your violin string snapped, to whom would you go?

If your father is God and you have a problem on your hands, what do you do?

Is your problem too large? Ephesians 3:29 says, “God is able to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

Is your need too great? 2 Corinthians 9:8 says, “God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance.”

Is your enemy too strong? Philippians 3:21 says, “God is able even to subdue all things to Himself.”

God is able to do what you cannot. When you have a problem—make this your first thought—“How can I get this problem to…

Don’t FailGod‘s Test! by Pastor Andre Butler

Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not

John 6:7

Jesus was testing Philip so he could see what he really relied on when under pressure. Philip failed the test. He started looking at the money
that was needed to feed the multitudes rather than what Jesus was able
to do. He should have said, “Well Jesus, I may not understand what’s
going on here, but I know You’re able to do whatever we need to do to
take care of this issue.” But that is not what he did.

It’s one thing to declare that God is your source when things are going
good and money is coming your way, when God is blessing you all the
time. It’s another thing to declare that God…

The Confessions of your mouth

The Confessions of your mouth

Your Spirit will produce what you say!

If anyone thinks to be religious among you, yet does not bridle his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is vain (James 1:26).

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 says, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God.” Here, the Apostle Paul shows us that the Holy Spirit searches the deep and profound things of God. Which means that the Holy Spirit seeks, investigates, inquires or scan through the divine counsel of God with the purpose of bringing them to pass.

Prayer's avatarPrayer Haven

He that digs a pit shall fall into it; and whoso breaks an hedge, a serpent shall bite him (Ecclesiastes 10:8)

Every one of God’s children has a hedge of protection around them; put there by God Himself, whether they know it or not. It is important to know that you are the only one who can break this hedge of protection and allow the enemy access into your life. In the opening Scripture, we read that the one who breaks the hedge has opened the way for the serpent to bite him and the serpent is symbolic of the devil. You must realize that the devil has no right and no business pulling his strings in your life; however, if you break the hedge, then you leave yourself exposed.

So, how can one break the hedge? Through speaking negative words, contrary to God’s Word. This was…

No Night There

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

Revelation 21:23, NIV

Our heavenly home will glow and radiate with light from within – the light of God Himself and the glorious radiance of His presence.

I have been in some of the great cities of the world at night. I have looked out after sunset from Victoria Peak in Hong Kong during the Chinese New Year, and I have seen the lights transform the hills surrounding the harbor into a virtual fairyland. I have seen the lights of Capetown, South Africa, wrapped around Table Mountain at night forming a vast, jewel-studded skirt. . . .

But even in those great cities with their millions of lights, there are still pockets of darkness…

Keeping Unity

“All people will know that you are my followers if you love each other.” John 13:35

Stop and think about that verse for a minute. Could it be that unity is the key to reaching the world for Christ? . . .

Nowhere, by the way, are we told to build unity. We are told simply to keep unity. From God’s perspective there is but “one flock and one shepherd” (John 10:16). Unity does not need to be created; it simply needs to be protected.

the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was (but the

servants which drew the water knew);

John 2:8-9

Jesus told the servants, “Fill the waterpots with water.” They followed

instructions fully, filling the pots to the brim. By a miracle of God,

the waterpots now held expensive wine instead of water. The governor

called the bridegroom and said, “Hey, you saved the best wine for last.

This isn’t ordinary!”

Once again, Jesus provided a financial miracle. And once again, He

didn’t just provide enough; He provided everything they wanted and

I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry

Psalm 40:1

Like you, I’ve spent my life waiting – waiting to see a doctor, waiting for my turn to board a plane in a crowded airport terminal, waiting for someone to call, waiting
in a checkout line at the grocery store. Some waits are mundane, some are outright
boring, and some are filled with anxiety. The real question is, what’s happening
within us while we wait? How are we spending our time in that wait?

In that grocery store line, or that airport terminal, or that doctor’s office, are
we spending time with the Lord? So much of our lives are filled with anxieties and
worries, and yet, we have heard so many people say, “I have no time to pray, or
read the Bible. My life is too hectic.” Yet…
