It means our sins can be forgiven:
Ephesians 1:7 “In [Christ] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” NKJV

It means we can become children of God:
John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” NKJV

It means we can one day live in heaven forever:

From the story of Joseph recorded in today’s Bible reading, we learn this truth: God’s presence changes the location of the one who has it. It moves you up and it moves you forward. If God is truly with you, you cannot remain on the same spot for long. If making progress is quite difficult for you, it could be a pointer to the absence of God’s presence. If God’s is with you, He will relocate you from the bottom to the top, from sorrow and depression into joy and hope, and from lack into abundance. May the presence of God promote you in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

It is because needing a physical form to bow down to and worship diminishes faith, even if that physical form is an attempt to represent God Himself. The need for the physical is of the flesh, but we are to live and know God in the Spirit.

Wealth And Wisdom

He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch (Proverbs 11:28)

Wealth is good but to God, there is nothing good in the wealth of a sinner. In fact, wealth obtained through the machinery of sin is an abomination to Him. The sinner’s wisdom cannot save him because rather than sincerely look up to God, he depends on himself and gave himself credit for all his achievements. Nebuchadnezzar is an example in this regard. Many people believe that the end justifies the means. They say it is acceptable to compromise God‘s standards to get ahead. But the fact is we always lose when we violate God’s standards of righteousness. However, it is not always easy to do what is right.

I remember when we moved our headquarters from California to Florida. We had been unable to sell or lease some of our property in California. The buildings remained empty, yet every month we still had to make our mortgage payments.

Proverbs 29:25 says: “The fear of man brings a snare: but whoso puts his trust in the Lord shall be safe.” Sometimes we fear what men can do to us. In this world, we all have friends – people we relate with, talk with, share with, pray and play with, and whose company we enjoy. But even the best of friends may sometimes let you down or disappoint you in your hour of need; not because they want to, but because they may be unavailable, or not have the right words to say to you at the time. Then of course, it’s possible for them to get tired of your “Issues” and eventually give up on you, because they feel you aren’t going to change.

But there’s a friend that’ll never let you down. He’ll never disappoint, fail, or give up on you! He’s never tired of you, His Name is Jesus Christ! Those who know Jesus as a friend…

Praying in tongues refreshes and renews us

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. (2 Corinthians 4:16)

You can be renewed every day by the Word of God and through praying in tongues. This spiritual renewal and refreshing is what keeps you afloat with joy, even in the midst of challenging situations. Christianity is living in God’s rest (Hebrew 4:10).

Praying in other tongues refreshes your spirit, your soul and your body; never forget that. Thus the next time you feel as though you’re almost overwhelmed or wearied with the hustle and bustle of the day’s activities, take some time to refresh yourself by praying in tongues.

Every good thing in your life is a gift from God.

James 1:16,17 “Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”

Do not believe the lie of the devil. God is a good God and He does not want to harm you. He may allow certain things to come into your life that are uncomfortable and challenging but He will always give you the strength to overcome every problem. You need to be firm in the knowledge that God cares for you and that every good thing in your life is a gift from Him.

Part of the characteristics of a living thing is reproduction and growth. A christen reproduces by winning souls and ought to grow in fellowship with and in service to the LORD. This is what it means to bear fruits. The Lord is not happy with any part of His body that bears no fruit; He says such will eventually be cut off (John 15:2). But the Lord does not desire for any part of His to be cut off hence he sends this warning: Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die. For I have not found thy works perfect before God. (Revelation 3:2)

Gossip

Troublemakers listen to troublemakers…(Proverbs 17:4)

The moment somebody begins to gossip stop them and ask, “Why do I need to know this? Have you talked to the person you’re talking about? Wise up; people who gossip can’t be trusted! The Bible says that when you listen to gossip you are a troublemaker: “Troublemakers listen to troublemakers.” And Jude adds: “These are the people who divide you, people whose thoughts are only of this world….” (Jude v 19). Those are serious charges. And the internet has only made the problem worse because now you can spread gossip faster and wider, and remain anonymous while you are doing it. Paul speaks about those who “devour one another…(and your whole fellowship)…” (Galatians 5:15 AMP). He says they should be avoided and disciple. When was the last time you saw that happen in church? In his letter to the church in Sardis, after stating their terrible state, the Lord stated that there were a few of them who were undefiled who would walk with Him. Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. Revelation 3:4
