For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us

2 Corinthians 1:20

It has been said that the Bible is an anvil that’s worn out many a skeptic’s hammer. This means that what the Bible says is completely true and unchanging. Let’s consider what that means for a moment.

It means our sins can be forgiven:
Ephesians 1:7 “In [Christ] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His graceNKJV

It means we can become children of God:
John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” NKJV

It means we can one day live in heaven forever:
John 14:2 “In My Father’s house are many mansions…

The Lord will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm

Joel 2:25-27

Mark 5:25-34 gives us an account of the woman with the issue of blood. I suppose that when her situation started, she thought she was just menstruating until the blood flow refuse to stop. There is a reader of this blog who is going through a state of continuous loss. The LORD is terminating that loss and stabilising you from now, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen! As you see the manifestation, go and share your testimony in the midst of God’s people!

The woman with the issue of blood lost a lot. She lost her health. She once was rich but the sickness took away all her wealth. But on the day of her visitation, when she met The LORD, she got…

The Lord Your God Will Bless Your Work And Fill Your Barns With Corn. He Will Bless You In The Land That He Is Giving You

Blessed All Round!

Read: Genesis 39:1-6

From the story of Joseph recorded in today’s Bible reading, we learn this truth: God’s presence changes the location of the one who has it. It moves you up and it moves you forward. If God is truly with you, you cannot remain on the same spot for long. If making progress is quite difficult for you, it could be a pointer to the absence of God’s presence. If God’s is with you, He will relocate you from the bottom to the top, from sorrow and depression into joy and hope, and from lack into abundance. May the presence of God promote you in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

Another truth we learn from this story is…

You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below

You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.
Exodus 20:4-6

Why did God give a command against making a form of things in the heavens above or the earth below?

It is because needing a physical form to bow down to and worship diminishes faith, even if that physical form is an attempt to represent God Himself. The need for the physical is of the flesh, but we are to live and know God in the Spirit.

Romans 8:13 teaches, “By the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body.” Our “religious” behaviour can take our church buildings, our list of “ministries” and accomplishments and put them in place of a relationship with God.

God’s primary commandment is that we love Him! Even in this commandment He is…

Planning to retire? Is It In Accordance to God’s Plan For Your Life?

Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the LORD said unto him, “Thou art old and stricken in years and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed” (Joshua 13:1).

According to Galatians 3:2-3 you need to ask yourself how close you are to your goal, for it is possible to start in the Spirit and end in the flesh. Did you start your marriage, church project, career, or business by divine direction but today you are the one in charge, not God? If so, you are father from your goal than when you started. If you do not make a U-turn, you may end up in a totally different location from what you expect. Many people have lots of credits to their names, yet they are far flung from God’s…

Wealth And Wisdom

Wealth And Wisdom

He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch (Proverbs 11:28)

Wealth is good but to God, there is nothing good in the wealth of a sinner. In fact, wealth obtained through the machinery of sin is an abomination to Him. The sinner’s wisdom cannot save him because rather than sincerely look up to God, he depends on himself and gave himself credit for all his achievements. Nebuchadnezzar is an example in this regard. God’s judgement came on him while he was busy beating his chest and ascribing glory to himself for what God had done (Daniel 4:28-32). Are you taking credit for your exceptional abilities at work, school or ministry? Do you think the reason you have your wife and children is because you are a special breed? No, it is because of God…

Your Choices are never free from conflict

Galatians 5:17

Many people believe that the end justifies the means. They say it is acceptable to compromise God‘s standards to get ahead. But the fact is we always lose when we violate God’s standards of righteousness. However, it is not always easy to do what is right.

I remember when we moved our headquarters from California to Florida. We had been unable to sell or lease some of our property in California. The buildings remained empty, yet every month we still had to make our mortgage payments.

Some successful Christian businessmen counseled me to default and allow the bank to repossess the property. Many businesses do this, and financially we would be far better off. But that would be wrong since we had signed a contract with the bank. We purposed to trust God to help us pay…

Trust in the Lord and fear no man, for God is your Helper

Trust in the Lord and fear no man, for God is your Helper

Proverbs 29:25 says: “The fear of man brings a snare: but whoso puts his trust in the Lord shall be safe.” Sometimes we fear what men can do to us. We should never fear this way because God is greater than man. Man does not hold your eternity. Man does not even hold your tomorrow. Man does not hold your well-being; only God does. So don’t fear men anymore because God is your helper.

Don’t fear men!

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

There is a friend that sticks closer than a brother, and His Name is Jesus.

Proverbs 18:24b

In this world, we all have friends – people we relate with, talk with, share with, pray and play with, and whose company we enjoy. But even the best of friends may sometimes let you down or disappoint you in your hour of need; not because they want to, but because they may be unavailable, or not have the right words to say to you at the time. Then of course, it’s possible for them to get tired of your “Issues” and eventually give up on you, because they feel you aren’t going to change.

But there’s a friend that’ll never let you down. He’ll never disappoint, fail, or give up on you! He’s never tired of you, His Name is Jesus Christ! Those who know Jesus as a friend…

Praying in tongues refreshes and renews us

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. (2 Corinthians 4:16)

You can be renewed every day by the Word of God and through praying in tongues. This spiritual renewal and refreshing is what keeps you afloat with joy, even in the midst of challenging situations. Christianity is living in God’s rest (Hebrew 4:10).

Praying in other tongues refreshes your spirit, your soul and your body; never forget that. Thus the next time you feel as though you’re almost overwhelmed or wearied with the hustle and bustle of the day’s activities, take some time to refresh yourself by praying in tongues.

There’s no dryness at all in the lives of those who pray in other tongues, for out of their innermost being flow rivers of living water (John…

Every good thing in your life is a gift from God

Every good thing in your life is a gift from God.

James 1:16,17 “Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”

Do not believe the lie of the devil. God is a good God and He does not want to harm you. He may allow certain things to come into your life that are uncomfortable and challenging but He will always give you the strength to overcome every problem. You need to be firm in the knowledge that God cares for you and that every good thing in your life is a gift from Him.

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Be Fruitful

Be fruitful

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever. Daniel 12:3

Part of the characteristics of a living thing is reproduction and growth. A christen reproduces by winning souls and ought to grow in fellowship with and in service to the LORD. This is what it means to bear fruits. The Lord is not happy with any part of His body that bears no fruit; He says such will eventually be cut off (John 15:2). But the Lord does not desire for any part of His to be cut off hence he sends this warning: Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die. For I have not found thy works perfect before God. (Revelation 3:2)

One way you can strengthen the good…

Gossip

Troublemakers listen to troublemakers…(Proverbs 17:4)

The moment somebody begins to gossip stop them and ask, “Why do I need to know this? Have you talked to the person you’re talking about? Wise up; people who gossip can’t be trusted! The Bible says that when you listen to gossip you are a troublemaker: “Troublemakers listen to troublemakers.” And Jude adds: “These are the people who divide you, people whose thoughts are only of this world….” (Jude v 19). Those are serious charges. And the internet has only made the problem worse because now you can spread gossip faster and wider, and remain anonymous while you are doing it. Paul speaks about those who “devour one another…(and your whole fellowship)…” (Galatians 5:15 AMP). He says they should be avoided and disciple. When was the last time you saw that happen in church? Solomon said, “A gossip reveals secrets…

You can overcome that temptation. You can stand out

Prayer's avatarPrayer Haven

English: Resurrection of Christ

You can overcome that temptation. You can stand out

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. James 1:14

In his letter to the church in Sardis, after stating their terrible state, the Lord stated that there were a few of them who were undefiled who would walk with Him. Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. Revelation 3:4

As horrible as Sardis was, there were a few people who held on to their faith in Christ. One revelation you need to hold unto from this is that: Your faith in Christ can triumph even in the most sinful era ever possible to man. No matter the temptations or levels of corruption around you; no matter the pressure you are faced…

The Power Of Communion

The Power Of Communion
by Pastor Dony McGuire & Dr. Paul Graden

Last   month, Dr. Paul Graden brought us a wonderful teaching at our Sunday Worship   Celebration on the concepts and power of communion. He shared a somewhat lost   principle of the early church, in that they shared communion daily, often   multiple times a day, in their homes with those who were coming into   “the faith” as well as those who were already in “the faith.” I’ve   taken some of his teachings and broken them down in an attempt to awaken us   to some fresh realities about this all-important ordinance of our faith.

In that   time, communion typically took place prior to a meal and was preceded by a   “blessing,” much like Jesus blessed the bread before He broke it at   the Last Supper. The apostles devoted themselves to…
