God Is Good!

Psalms_100-5: For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Psalms 100:5, “For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”

The person and the works of God are good. He is good in His generosity and kindness to all of creation, in His unconditional love in Christ coming to die for sinners and in His saving and special love to His elect people.

He is good, He is goodness, good in Himself, good in His essence, good in the highest degree. Possessing whatever is calmly, excellent, desirable, the highest good because the first good, whatever is perfect goodness is God.

Whatsoever is truly goodness in any creature is a resemblance of God. All the names of God are comprehended in this one of good. All gifts, all variety of goodness are contained…
