OCTOBER: OUR MONTH OF PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH

Scripture: 2 Peter 3:18, “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

Beloved, this month, God is calling us to work more on ourselves. Personal development is one of the greatest investment we can ever make to improve on our system. Lack of personal investment can affect your growth. Prayers work but if you refuse to change certain things in your life, the same pattern may still continues.

We pray for things to change, but we must also be willing to change the way we do things. For example, if you don’t know how to talk with confidence, work on it. If you struggle with anger, you will need to work on it. Examine your character, your habits, your words, and how you use your time.

You may need to enroll for mentorship programmes. Some sorts of progress may not come until your force change and leave your comfort zone. If you must have a new set of friends, work on it. Ask yourself: What needs correction in my life? What new things do you need to learn this month?

Personal development begins with determination, courage and faith. Be willing to receive correction, admit your mistakes, and take responsibility for your actions. No man knows everything. Do not allow pride to keep you where you are. A teachable person has room to grow.

Luke 2:52 tells us that Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man. Let your growth touch every part of your life. Cry out to God. Tell God to give you the grace to work on yourself. The truth is that the problem of many people isn’t the devil, but their inability to correct certain things in their life.

This October, choose one weakness in your life to address and one good habit to build. If you must become a totally change person, upgrade your knowledge and connections.

Take small, consistent steps. Apply what you learn, and trust God for the strength to keep going.

PRAYER: Good Morning Heavenly Father! Please, help me to see where I need to change. Give me a teachable heart, wisdom, and discipline. Let this October bring growth in my faith, character, and abilities, all to Your Glory alone, in Jesus Christ, my Lord and my Personal Saviour’s, Powerful and Mighty name, I pray! Amen!

I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your Will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
