Psalms_25-2: O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me

Psalms_23-5: Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Brethren, Tonight, we are to declare total war against the enemies of our progress (Nahum 3:4). If we look at it deeply, we will discover that enemies of progress are around us and have hindered the progress of many people. And as such, These people are moving but they are still in one spot. They are working, but they are eating like an ant. Is that the plans of God for your life? The devil is cheating so many believers. So tonight, we would rise up at 12 am to take this midnight prayers without excuse. (Time:12:00 am – 2:00 am)

Job 5:19 says, ”He shall deliver thee in six troubles: yea,in seven there shall no evil touch thee.”

Galatians 6:17 says, From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.”

Luke 10:19, The Lord said behold I give unto you power over all the powers of the enemies – and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

The power He gives unto us is power to neutralize the power of the enemies of progress.

TAKE THIS DECLARATION: Say it after me:

“Dear Lord Jesus, I come before you in the name of Jesus. I cannot take these prayers without asking for Your mercy and forgiveness. O Lord, I know that I am not worthy of these prayers tonight, forgive me of my sins, mistakes and my secret lifestyle. I acknowledge that I am a sinner. I repent from my sins today. I confess them to you now in the name of Jesus. Father, Whatever spirit that is strengthening the stronghold of sin should be blotted out in Jesus name. O God, Who Has Taught Us To Seek First Your Kingdom And Its Righteousness, Teach Me To Say, “Your Will Be Done” Before I Say “Give Me My Daily Bread.”

Sin. The Most Deadly Thing.

Psalms_51-2: Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

1 John 3:1-10

Introduction:
Sin is the most deadly thing. It is an act of disobedience to the laws and instructions of the Almighty God. However, different definitions have been given to sin which include error, mistake and misdeeds. Whatever the meaning that is assigned to sin, It is expected that every true child of God should run from sin because it leads to destruction.

What are the facts you need to know about sin?
1. Sin originated from the devil. Isaiah 14:12-14

2. Sin was transmitted to mankind through Adam & Eve. Genesis 3:1-8

3. The wages or reward of sin is death. Romans 6:23

4. Sin will terminate its victim in hell fire and rob him or her of eternity with God. Matthew 5:29-30

5. Jesus has made provision for all human beings to be free from sin. John 3:1

6. Genuine repentance from sin leads to salvation and eternal life. John 3:16

Conclusion:

Since sin does not profit any man but it rather brings torment and eternal separation, it is advisable for every man born of a woman to run away from sin by coming to Jesus for cleansing, pardon and salvation. Keep off from sin and live holy.

Introduction:
It is a sound biblical fact that Jesus Christ is coming back again.

This second coming of Christ shall be in two phases:
The 1st is that He will come like a thief in the night to rapture His Church and,

2nd to hold the marriage Supper of the Lamb.
May we all be found worthy to reign with Him. Amen!

Facts About The Lord’s Coming
When is the Lord coming?
The exact time of His coming is not known to any man but He will come before the Great Tribulation.

What is Jesus coming to do and why will He come?
To resurrect the dead in Christ, to take the living saints from this wicked world before the great tribulation and to present the saints blameless to God. 1 Thessalonian 4:13-17; Luke 21:34-46, Jude

Who will go with Jesus?
Those who are in Christ and earnestly desires His appearance and those who are living holy. 2 Cor 5:17; Titus 2:13, 1 Peter 1:16; Hebrews 12:4.

What will happen at Jesus Coming?
The trumpet shall sound, the dead in Christ shall rise first and the living saints shall all be changed to immortality. 1 Corn 15:23:54

Conclusion:
It is dangerous thing to be left behind after the rapture. You cannot afford to miss the second coming of the Lord, so be prepared.

The Blessings of Obedience
“If you obey the Lord your God and faithfully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, he will make you greater than any other nation on earth.

4 “The Lord will bless you with many children, with abundant crops, and with many cattle and sheep.

7 “The Lord will defeat your enemies when they attack you. They will attack from one direction, but they will run from you in all directions.
8 “The Lord your God will bless your work and fill your barns with grain. He will bless you in the land that he is giving you.
9 “If you obey the Lord your God and do everything he commands, he will make you his own people, as he has promised.
10 Then all the peoples on earth will see that the Lord has chosen you to be his own people, and they will be afraid of you.
11 The Lord will give you many children, many cattle, and abundant crops in the land that he promised your ancestors to give you.
12 He will send rain in season from his rich storehouse in the sky and bless all your work, so that you will lend to many nations, but you will not have to borrow from any.
13 The Lord your God will make you the leader among the nations and not a follower; you will always prosper and never fail if you obey faithfully all his commands that I am giving you today.
14 But you must never disobey them in any way, or worship and serve other gods.

The Consequences of Disobedience.
15 “But if you disobey the Lord your God and do not faithfully keep all his commands and laws that I am giving you today, all these evil things will happen to you:
16 “The Lord will curse your towns and your fields.
17 “The Lord will curse your grain crops and the food you prepare from them.
18 “The Lord will curse you by giving you only a few children, poor crops, and few cattle and sheep.
19 “The Lord will curse everything you do.

Sermon:
“If” a two letter word, very powerful in determining our destinies!
Our God Jehovah is A very Highly Principled God, He is faithful in keeping all His promises to us His children. GOD own no man. He is Faithful and Just!

The word ‘if’ is fascinating. It appeared in the bible 1,521 times. It is one of the most important words in the Bible because it speaks directly to our responsibilities to God. Most promises in the Bible have conditions and the word ‘if’ speaks to those conditions. Our responses to God’s commands affect our relationship with Him and determine our receiving from Him.

The word “If” speaks of God’s desire to have partnership with his people. The word “If” when spoken by God says to His children simply means: “I’ve done my part, you do your own part and together we’ll make something beautiful and miraculous happen. We’ll work together to make earth look a little more like heaven.”

“If” invites us into partnership with God to achieve His kingdom purposes on earth.

Jesus used the word ‘if’ all the time. Almost half of the 574 occurrences in the New Testament are in the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John). Jesus always put the word ‘if’ on man’s side and never on God’s side.
The word “If” in the bible calls for action. It tells us that our actions matter and that they have consequences.
The word “If” in the bible empowers us to shape our history. We can change things. We don’t have to be victims. We are not helpless.

Deuteronomy 11:26-28
26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day:
28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

Romans 10:9 (Secret Of Eternal Life)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (Secret Of Sinless Life.)
“If my people which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Psalms_100-5: For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Goodness:
The quality or state of being good. Generous, Kind, Moral Excellence; Virtue

Mercy:
Compassionate or kindly forbearance shown toward an offender, an enemy, or other person in one’s power; compassion, pity, or benevolence:
An act of kindness, compassion, or favour.

Text:
Psalm 23:1-6
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Introduction: God is the Jehovah Jireh, the great Provider. He is gracious to His own and specializes in blessing His children with goodness and mercy.

Our God is good and merciful
1. His name is Wonderful, Counsellor.
Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

2. His dwelling place is safe.

3. God is the great provider.

2 Kings 7:8-11
8 The men who had leprosy reached the edge of the camp, entered one of the tents and ate and drank. Then they took silver, gold and clothes, and went off and hid them. They returned and entered another tent and took some things from it and hid them also.

9 Then they said to each other, “What we’re doing is not right. This is a day of good news and we are keeping it to ourselves. If we wait until daylight, punishment will overtake us. Let’s go at once and report this to the royal palace.”

10 So they went and called out to the city gatekeepers and told them, “We went into the Aramean camp and no one was there—not a sound of anyone—only tethered horses and donkeys, and the tents left just as they were.”

18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him.

Introduction:
Every Christian has been endowed with the grace to win souls. We must not allow the unsaved souls to go to hell without knowing who Jesus is and how it is their duties to allow Jesus in their hearts as their Lord and Saviour. Just as you are told about Jesus and you came to Him, you must tell someone about Jesus today?

Why Must I Tell Someone About Jesus?
1. It is a commandment from God.
Matthew 28:18-19
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

2. It is a curse not to preach Jesus.
1 Corinthian 9:16
For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

3. God does not want any sinner to perish.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

4. The worth of a single soul is more than any riches in the world.
Mark 8:35-37
35 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. 36 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? 37 Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?

5. A soul winner is a wise person.

Psalm 100:4
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise…” The Psalmist presented scenery of God on His Royal Throne; seated majestically in the splendour of His Palace just as our earthly kings do in their royal palaces-fenced round and secured with royal gates and further provided with inner courts in which they sit on their thrones.

Our God is a Spirit, we cannot see Him but He sees us and knows us by our names. He searches our hearts even before we approach His gates. When approaching His presence rejoice and be full of thanksgiving. The Bible says in the presence of God there is fullness of Joy (Psalm 16:11). It is an act of ingratitude whenever we enter His presence without thanking Him for the numerous things He has done for us. What is that situation that would make you approach His presence with grudges?

Ten Reasons Why We Should Thank God.
1. For Giving Us Life. “He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things.”

2. For The Salvation Of Our Souls.

3. For All Round Protection:
“Behold, He that keepth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper.”

1. For His wonderful works in heavens, on the earth, in the sea and beneath the earth.

2. For His Mighty Power and Mighty acts.

Exodus 15:3-11;
Psalm 150:2

3. For His Grace and love for His children.
1 Corinthians 15:10;

4. Praise Him for His goodness.
Psalm 31:19;
Exodus 33:19;
Psalm 65:11

5. Praise Him for His marvellous Light that darkness will never comprehend.
John 1:5;

6. Praise Him because He commanded it.
Psalm 100:4

7. God inhabits the praises of His people.
Psalm 22:3.

8. You want God in your midst, and then praise Him in holiness.
Acts 16:25-26

Conclusion:
The Bible commands us to give thanks unto the Lord at all times (1 Thessalonian 5:18). There are so many unseen battles that our God constantly fights and delivers victory into our hands without our knowledge, so we need to form an attitude of gratitude to thank Him all times and in all circumstances.

He That Wins Souls Is Wise. Sermon.

Proverbs_11-30: The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise

John 15:16
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit, should remain: that whatever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, He may give it you.

Text:
Proverbs 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

John 15:16
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

INTRODUCTION:
The cardinal purpose of believers is to evangelize and win souls for Christ and to further ensure that these souls abide. John 15:16. Every believer should “Go Ye into the world and preach the gospel and bring them into the saving grace of Jesus Christ.”

Matthew 28:19-20.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Reconciling Souls back to God was the main mission of Christ when He came to the world and as such a wise disciple has no major assignment than to win souls into the Kingdom of God.

Why Winning Souls Is Wise?

1. According to John 15:16, if you win souls and make them abide; then you have a blank cheque from God to ask anything and it shall be done.

2. It Increases The Number Of Worshippers And God Seeks True Worshippers.

John 4:23
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

3. There Is Growth In The House Fellowship Centre And The Church At Large.

4. It helps to spread the gospel fire.

5. The Lord of harvest is happy.

6. Jesus Commanded Us To Bear Fruit Else He Will Take Us Away.

John 15:2
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Conclusion:

God has saved you to win souls, be wise and do as Jesus did, reconciling souls back to God. (John 15:16).
