Clothed in ChristRighteousness

And when they crucified Him, they divided His garments, casting lots for them to determine what every man should take.

Mark 15:24, NKJV

When Jesus finally arrived at the place of execution around nine o’clock in the morning, if His treatment followed standard procedure in those days, He was stripped of all His clothes. Possibly He was allowed to retain a loincloth.

Yet because Jesus was stripped “naked,” you and I can be clothed! The Bible tells us that all of our righteousness, including the very best things we ever do, are so permeated with sin and selfishness that they are like filthy rags in God‘s sight
(Isa. 64:6). But at the Cross, Jesus gave us His perfect, spotless robe of righteousness and took our filthy garments…

You are God’s child, and God will give you the blessing He promised! Galatians 4:7

I can’t assure you your family will ever give you the blessing you seek—but I know God will!

If your earthly father doesn’t affirm you, then let your Heavenly Father take His place!

It’s one thing to accept Him as LORD, another to recognize Him as Saviour. To recognize God as LORD is to acknowledge that He is sovereign and supreme in the universe. To accept Him as Saviour is to accept His gift of salvation offered on the cross of Calvary.

To regard Him as Father is to go a step further! A father is the one in your life who provides and protects. That is exactly what God has done. He has provided for your needs. Protected you from harm. Adopted you. And He has given you His name! Hallelujah!

There is no limit to God’s favour in our lives

There is no limit to God’s favour in our lives

As God’s children, we are given His favour as a special gift. But the favour of God is not about us; it’s about His grace and desire to bless His children for their faithfulness and obedience. He’s a good and loving Father, and He’s ALWAYS looking for ways to show us His love.

God’s heart is so big, and He’s filled with so much good that He doesn’t have to take favour away from one person to give it to someone else.

THERE’S NO LIMIT TO GOD’S FAVOR IN YOUR LIFE.

But remember this…living in the favour of God doesn’t mean you won’t have setbacks or difficulties. It doesn’t mean that you won’t have to persevere, press on or keep hope alive through hard times. The truth is it’s in…

We can absolutely trust God and His Word – The Bible

John 17:17 “Dedicate them to Yourself by means of the truth; Your Word is truth”

Most of us know at least one person we consider very honest. When we ask that person for his opinion, he tells us what he really thinks. If we ask him to take care of something important for us, he will be open about whether or not he can do it.

That is even more true of Our Holy God. We can trust Him and His Word – completely and implicitly. It would violate God’s truthfulness, holiness, omniscience and love if His Word could not be trusted.

During the first centuries of the Church, false teachers tried to argue that the Bible was not completely truthful. Paul quickly defended the Bible. He proclaimed that all Scripture is God’s…

Always pray for those who are in authority

1 Timothy 2:1-2 says: “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” This is the will and plan of God. In other words, God tells us that He can have influence upon the hearts of men, upon kings and other people in authority. He tells us the way He can have this influence is if we will lift them up before Him. I know that you may not be like me, but I often forget my leaders. I’d rather complain than pray. But here we see that God can change the hearts of the people and the circumstances; not just kings and presidents, but even mayors, teachers…

Let us not place our hope in winning a “jackpot or lottery,” but our hope must remain in Christ, who gives us the power to get wealth

Beloved of God!

As we embark upon the holiest time in the Christian Church calendar, I pray that
our focus today is on the goodness, grace and mercy of God and not on the $540+
million lottery. While the scripture does not say, “thou shall not gamble,” there
are numerous scriptures that point to God’s methods for wealth creation: Deuteronomy
8:18; Proverbs 6:6-8; Proverbs 13:11; Proverbs 21:5, 20; Proverbs 28:20; and Malachi
3:10-11.
Numerous studies have proven that the lottery system is supported by the
poorest communities in our nation. Those who can least afford to spend $10 – $40
per week on tickets are the very ones who comprise the bulk…

John 1. The Word was God. Christ The Eternal Word

John 1. The Word was God. Christ The Eternal Word

1In the beginning the Word already existed.

The Word was with God,

and the Word was God.

2He existed in the beginning with God.

3God created everything through him,

and nothing was created except through him.

4The Word gave life to everything that was created,*

and his life brought light to everyone.

5The light shines in the darkness,

and the darkness can never extinguish it.*

6God sent a man, John the Baptist,*

7to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony.

8John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light.

9The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.

10He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him.

11He came to his…

2 Timothy 3. Perilous Times Shall Come. Dangerous Times Are Coming. The Last Days

NLT- New Living Translation

1You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.
2For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.
3They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.
4They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.
5They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

Anointing of Jesus

According To Your Faith Be It Unto You

Read: Hebrews 11:6

And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying,
and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was
come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto
them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea,
Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be
it unto you

Matthew 9:27-29

The blind men and the people who heard them crying understood that
Jesus was anointed, that He had God’s power on Him. They also
understood that He was the Son of God. Yet, Jesus did not lay hands on
them and say, “I know you’re healed, because I touched you and I’m
anointed.”

Glorious Generation 2 (Sermon Note)

Text: 1 Peter 2:9

Introduction

Our God is glorious, excellent, beautiful, superb, majestic Exodus 15:11. We are His offspring; His Chosen generation. We must be glorious like Him, in excellence, beauty, radiance, achievements. To achieve this, we must be a generation with vision. We must set goals and achieve them. Proverbs 29:18.

  1. 1.      What is your goal in life?

To answer this, we need to answer some other questions: – Who am I, what is my deepest dream in life. To fulfil my dream, what do I need to do? Why is it important to me? Does God approve of it? How and when should I embark on it? What is the ultimate picture I see in the future? When I attain that ultimate dream, what next? Judges 11:1-10, 1 Chronicles 4:9-10…

Good Success (Sermon Note)

Introduction:

Success is relative and measurable. Even as Christians, there is a lot that we can do ourselves to aid our success in many areas. This is why our focus in this teaching is to examine the role of ideas and the importance of setting goals in the attainment of success. May the LORD Himself teach us through His Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Bible Passage: Genesis 11: 1-9 (Tower of Babel)

IDEA

  1. A plan for action, A design.
  2. A Visible representation of a conception.
  3. A formulated thought or opinion.
  4. It is all about image, conception, impression, mind’s eye, notion, picture, thought.

GOAL

  1. The terminal point of a race
  2. The end towards which efforts is directed, such as an AIM. Thus, in a football field, the goal is an area…

The Word of God: John 1:6-13

A Godly Home

“And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children….”(Deuteronomy 6:7, KJV)

A home is to be more than just a place to rest, eat and sleep. It is actually the greatest school in the world. In the home, we are to utilize the time we have with our family members to build them up in the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ. The world teaches the ways of darkness — the ways of self-centred man. However, in our homes, there should be a constant flow in the knowledge of the ways of God. There should be prayer and an exercising of faith that God is the Great Provider for our lives, the Healer of our body, and the One who prospers and sustains us through every battle of life. Each day, there must be a specific act of teaching the Word of…

The cost of hidden sin is shame and exposure

The cost of hidden sin is shame and exposure.

Nahum 3:5

“Behold, I am against you,” says the LORD of hosts; “I will lift your skirts over your face, I will show the nations your nakedness, And the kingdoms your shame.”
NKJV

In the last chapter of Nahum, God brings several charges against the city of Nineveh. One of these charges is their involvement in harlotry and sorcery. These two lifestyles thrive in the dark corners of society and desire to accomplish personal fulfilment with ungodliness. So what is God’s plan to punish those involved? He is simply going to expose their sinfulness to everyone.

In our own lives, I believe we fear this more than anything else. We fear the thought of being “found out”. Friend, God already knows our sins. There is nothing…

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly

John 10:10, NKJV

There is more to life . . .

than being healthy,

than being happy,

than being problem free,

than being comfortable,

than feeling good, than getting what we want,

than being healed.

There is more to life even than living!

And the “more to life” is the development of our faith to the extent that our very lives display God‘s glory!

God sometimes does not shield those He loves from challenges but uses those challenges to fulfil His greater plan. He is glad, not that we suffer, but that we have the opportunity to grow in our faith and display His glory, which is the fulfilment of the very purpose for our existence. Don’t settle for less than more!

May the LORD bless Nigeria,
