Every one of God’s children has a hedge of protection around them; put there by God Himself, whether they know it or not. It is important to know that you are the only one who can break this hedge of protection and allow the enemy access into your life. In the opening Scripture, we read that the one who breaks the hedge has opened the way for the serpent to bite him and the serpent is symbolic of the devil. You must realize that the devil has no right and no business pulling his strings in your life; however, if you break the hedge, then you leave yourself exposed.

Our Heavenly Home

No Night There

The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

Our heavenly home will glow and radiate with light from within – the light of God Himself and the glorious radiance of His presence.

I have been in some of the great cities of the world at night. I have looked out after sunset from Victoria Peak in Hong Kong during the Chinese New Year, and I have seen the lights transform the hills surrounding the harbor into a virtual fairyland. I have seen the lights of Capetown, South Africa, wrapped around Table Mountain at night forming a vast, jewel-studded skirt. . . .

But even in those great cities with their millions of lights, there are still pockets of darkness…

Keeping Unity

“All people will know that you are my followers if you love each other.” John 13:35

Stop and think about that verse for a minute. Could it be that unity is the key to reaching the world for Christ? . . .

Nowhere, by the way, are we told to build unity. We are told simply to keep unity. From God’s perspective there is but “one flock and one shepherd” (John 10:16). Unity does not need to be created; it simply needs to be protected.

Everything You Wanted and More! (Jesus Turned Water Into wine)

And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of

Jesus told the servants, “Fill the waterpots with water.” They followed

instructions fully, filling the pots to the brim. By a miracle of God,

Like you, I’ve spent my life waiting – waiting to see a doctor, waiting for my turn to board a plane in a crowded airport terminal, waiting for someone to call, waiting

within us while we wait? How are we spending our time in that wait?

It has been said that the Bible is an anvil that’s worn out many a skeptic’s hammer. This means that what the Bible says is completely true and unchanging. Let’s consider what that means for a moment.

It means our sins can be forgiven:
Ephesians 1:7 “In [Christ] we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” NKJV

It means we can become children of God:
John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” NKJV

From the story of Joseph recorded in today’s Bible reading, we learn this truth: God’s presence changes the location of the one who has it. It moves you up and it moves you forward. If God is truly with you, you cannot remain on the same spot for long. If making progress is quite difficult for you, it could be a pointer to the absence of God’s presence. If God’s is with you, He will relocate you from the bottom to the top, from sorrow and depression into joy and hope, and from lack into abundance. Wealth is good but to God, there is nothing good in the wealth of a sinner. In fact, wealth obtained through the machinery of sin is an abomination to Him. The sinner’s wisdom cannot save him because rather than sincerely look up to God, he depends on himself and gave himself credit for all his achievements. Nebuchadnezzar is an example in this regard. God’s judgement came on him while he was busy beating his chest and ascribing glory to himself for what God had done (Daniel 4:28-32). Many people believe that the end justifies the means. They say it is acceptable to compromise God‘s standards to get ahead. But the fact is we always lose when we violate God’s standards of righteousness. However, it is not always easy to do what is right.

I remember when we moved our headquarters from California to Florida. We had been unable to sell or lease some of our property in California. The buildings remained empty, yet every month we still had to make our mortgage payments.

In this world, we all have friends – people we relate with, talk with, share with, pray and play with, and whose company we enjoy. But even the best of friends may sometimes let you down or disappoint you in your hour of need; not because they want to, but because they may be unavailable, or not have the right words to say to you at the time. Then of course, it’s possible for them to get tired of your “Issues” and eventually give up on you, because they feel you aren’t going to change.

But there’s a friend that’ll never let you down. He’ll never disappoint, fail, or give up on you! He’s never tired of you, His Name is Jesus Christ! Those who know Jesus as a friend…

Praying in tongues refreshes and renews us

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. (2 Corinthians 4:16)

You can be renewed every day by the Word of God and through praying in tongues. This spiritual renewal and refreshing is what keeps you afloat with joy, even in the midst of challenging situations. Christianity is living in God’s rest (Hebrew 4:10).

Praying in other tongues refreshes your spirit, your soul and your body; never forget that. Thus the next time you feel as though you’re almost overwhelmed or wearied with the hustle and bustle of the day’s activities, take some time to refresh yourself by praying in tongues.

Do not believe the lie of the devil. God is a good God and He does not want to harm you. He may allow certain things to come into your life that are uncomfortable and challenging but He will always give you the strength to overcome every problem. You need to be firm in the knowledge that God cares for you and that every good thing in your life is a gift from Him.
