5 Crowns to Consider

Prayer Works Cafe's avatarPrayer Works Cafe

The Crown of Life, is given to those of us who have and will overcome great trials and tribulations. It is for those who preserve. It is reserved for those who remain faithful even to the point of death.

I’m my book Pouring Into The Lives of Women I made references to women being crowned, celebrated and uplifted. Just now it dropped into my spirit to research crowns in full and how we will be crowned spiritually, and thus I am inspired to write on the following.

Reflect

There are FIVE crowns to consider while conducting our everyday business on the Kingdom trail. They are the crown of life, the incorruptible crown, the crown of righteousness, the crown of glory and the crown of exhortation.

Pouring Into The Lives of Women

The Incorruptible Crown, is given to those who will reign with him. This crown is immaterial. It is a…

In All Seasons

Brightstar2911's avatarMy Message Ministries

We worry, fear, stress, and feel alone. If we are in the hands of God, creator of Heaven and Earth, why then wouldn’t we trust He knows our needs?

God loves us so very much, we are included His workmanship.

Next time you feel like you have no purpose, consider the One who gave you one. Consider the power, the wisdom, and love of God. He is always the same, never changing. Although we may change, our circumstances may change, and as the seasons change, God orchestrated it all from the beginning. We need to trust Him not our own understanding.

We may be small, but our God is bigger than our problems!

Can we change our fate

Official blog of the spiritual leader of the Kemtic faith's avatarKemeticfollower's Weblog

Can we change fate

Can we change our fate this is a question that we have all asked and not only us from the beginnings of time man has asked can he change the fate that has been laid down for him from that fateful day the he has been brought into this world.

When I last wrote I talked about the Kemetic faiths views on fate and know I would like to tell you about the faiths views on if we can change our fate.

Can fate be changed? Well we know that there are many who think that it can we hear of how the Prince of Byblos sent envoys to Egypt in order to beg Amun for 50 years over the allotted time of his life by fate in the hope that the offerings of timber to the God would persuade him to change the princes fate.

Cellphones

littlethunder's avatarWelcome to Writting of Littlethunder

I heard it once said that the worse invention was that of the cellphone. And I tend to believe it. Furthermore, I am in agreement that use of a cellphone while driving should be banned. Allow me to explain:

I have 2 cellphones and a tablet. The 2nd cellphone is in the house in case I lose the first one and thats all. And the tablet has only once left the house. So I use my cellphone wisely.

Others I am not sure of. In fact I think some people will not learn the dangers of driving and texting until someone dies in an accident and by that time it will be to late.

I know of a couple people who make phone calls and text while driving. Sometimes they make use of all three cellphones at once. Thus putting passengers and other drivers at risk.  But what can be…

A Mother’s Prayer…

jam4YESHUA's avatarnnyPHISHnet's Blog

“For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him.”
(1 Samuel 1:27)

I personally can attest to the fact that a mother’s love and prayers go way back, sometimes even before our beginning. So today, I’d like to share with you one such prayer, spoken twice, that I didn’t even know I had in me. (“Hmm, I wonder if Hannah had felt the same way.”)

There was a time not all that long ago, when I could not call myself “a mother”.  Some of this was self-inflicted, and sometimes not. (I’d spent a couple of decades crusading that I would never get married or have children. I have learned now to never say never.)

The History and the Pain

I had lived through and learned enough in my life to know better, and that I didn’t ever want to revisit…

Dealing With The Total Eclipse of Our Hearts (On the Day of The Eclipse 2017)

Liz Gray's avataru2areloved

 It’s here.  Eclipse Day 2017!

If I didn’t know better and only watched the news today, I’d think all of humanity had finally reconciled in a bi-partisan effort to enjoy the temporary blocking out of the sun.

Darkness has a funny way of uniting us humans.

Today, on this rare beautiful day, we will be as one,  in our excitement to watch this solar event.

There’s something special happening here; we can’t quite name it or put a finger on it, but you know it for sure.  You can feel it

For a solid minute, possibly as long as two minutes and 41 seconds in some places, we are going to forget that we are white or black or any other color people with so many grievances with those others.   We’re not going to be focused on our pasts.  We’re not going to be…

My New Found Self Love Is Not Vanity …

Lady Fab's avatarI Am Lady Fab

Just yesterday I was told that I was vain. Wait, What? VAIN … I’m the least vain person on this planet! All of a sudden I was stricken with sadness because at that very moment they didn’t know my hidden struggle. My struggle of loving me just the way I was. My struggle of self acceptance. My struggle of being insecure. My struggle of feeling beautiful and pretty.

For the past year I have truly been working hard to overcome these insecurities and even though I am slowly evolving to really believe that my black is beautiful, 70% of the time I am not happy with myself. I wished I looked different. I often wonder what people thoughts are after I enter into a room. But through it all daily I remind myself that God has not giving me a spirit of fear. He has made me beautiful in His…

Reasons the Christian Church is not IN the New Covenant

Mystery Consultant's avatarHome of the Rightly Divided Word

(from “Defending Dispensationalism”) by Mark Graeser, John Schoenheit and John Lynn

  1. A “covenant” is a solemn promise binding two parties in an agreement. In certain biblical covenants like the “New” Covenant, God binds Himself unconditionally by His love and grace to perform specific promises to specific people (Israel). These promises cannot be disannulled, and neither can they be “fulfilled” only in part; they must at some point be fulfilled completely or God’s righteousness would be compromised, and He found to be a liar. If the Church cannot “fulfill” the New Covenant, then it must be in a different relationship with God, (we are “in Christ/ in the Lord” and Israel cannot claim this relationship).

     2. The covenant was made with Israel, the physical descendants of Abraham according to the flesh, and with them as a specific nation. Since the Church is neither           Jews nor Gentiles (a “nation”)…

“Glo” — One of My New Bibles

josreadings's avatarJo's Readings

Good Saturday afternoon!

Yesterday I bought two new Bibles: The Books of the Bible Bible, and Glo. These two Bibles are completely opposite tools.

The Books of the Bible Bible takes the Bible back to the first century. It presents Scripture without chapters, verses, columns, study notes, etc. It is intended to give us a different set of insights into Scripture because of those edits.

The Glo Bible is strictly digital immersion in The Word. It provides five “lenses” through which to read and study The Word. Those “lenses” are called Bible, Timeline, Atlas, Topical andMedia. It took 1-2 hours to install “Glo” completely. Then, I went to the tutorial, which I think you will also enjoy. This looks like a really great tool for studying the Bible, and even for teaching it. I would love for every teenager to have access to this, too. It would…

God Keeps Women Close at Heart

lady4god's avatarLadydiane4GOD

I know God wants to do something incredible in our lives. Why do I say that? Well, I know that God has a tender place for women in His heart. God has since Eve. Scripture tells us that he helped Eve have a baby (Gen. 4:1). He met Hagar when she was mistreated by Sarah (Gen. 16:1-14). He went out of His way to talk to a Samaritan woman at the well (John 4). He healed the woman with the issue of blood (Luke 8).

God loves his girls. I believe he is excited about what He is going to do in our hearts during those few days.

I pray for us all to have a special encounter with God “every time we seek Him, we will be found by Him.” I want every woman to feel like Hagar when she had met with God. She said, “You are the…

A Healer for America

iShank's avatarJust Another

Some background before I begin… This writing is something I chose to author in my English writing course this semester. I am a junior at Morehead State University, this is a persuasive essay for which I received an A from my professor. I wrote this because I stand behind it, I stand up for what I believe in – or in this case WHO I believe in. Everything is cited in case anybody would like to check my sources, it is MLA format per my professor’s assignment guidelines.

It seems as though modern American politics and politicians have really taken a trip downhill in quality. More so I would say the latter of the two is to blame, politicians are a byproduct of politics and they are the people who represent politics. When was the last time you found yourself headed to the voting booth absolutely ecstatic to vote for…

I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

iamzion's avatarWisdom is Found Through Experience

“I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”  John 14:6cross2

“The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.”  Luke 6:40

“If you’re not willing to be Jesus, don’t preach Jesus.”  ~ proverb of Zion

I must admit, I followed what I was taught blindly a very long time before I stopped looking to others to teach me what they knew about Jesus and started listening to His teachings for myself.  I stopped buying bibles with commentary, and started writing in the margins as I pondered the Truths that seemed to resonate in the message that I found Jesus to be teaching.  It is a painful memory for me to acknowledge that through some of the toughest struggles in my life, when I sought fellow Christians for answers they quote things…

Sowing seeds for others….

Khamneithang's avatarkhamneithang

photoFifteen years ago in March, on the 27th, I set foot on the soil of Arunachal Pradesh for the first time, steadfastly set on accomplishing my calling and providing the needs of my family.

In essence, it was a call to duty, and basically, the fulfillment of the calling of God. It was no small choice but an intricate one involving the relocation of my entire family about 500 km away from home with the grim reality of leaving everything behind, even the prospect of a job, to raise my kids amongst people hitherto unknown and eke out a living. It was a huge challenge, a daunting one at that!

Fortuitously, and by the design of God, we soon adapted to our new setting and God in His grace amply blessed the work we took charge of. What, however, we always felt amiss was the home-grown delicacies and vegetables…

THE SECRETS OF JESUS PART 2

Communication is arguably man’s greatest leverage over the other creatures of God: It is with the aid of superior communication that man has been able to achieve most of his great feats on the earth.

It will not be farfetched to state that man’s proximity to divinity is based largely on his ability to commune consciously with a divine force that exceeds his human understanding.

It is on the platform of this communication that some of the world’s greatest inventions are wrought because it takes communion with divinity to draw inspiration from superhuman muses to the realm of the ordinary.

Over time, this form of communication has evolved into a popular phenomenon in most religions(prayer) and like most trends before and after it, it has also suffered the brutal abuse of man’s ignorance and misinformation.

BUT JESUS KNEW BETTER!

As one who had a personal relationship with God, he understood…
