The Answer

A Voice's avatar

The season of election is upon us and the fight is on for the next presidential candidate. Those on the left have the answer and those on the right, but what is the question? The question comes down to who will lead this nation in the direction where the maximum amount of citizens will rejoice, rather than mourn. God gives us the answer. “When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan” (Proverbs 29:2). It is clear that the left has some pretty devilish things on the table. The promotion of baby death and same-sex marriage which are despised by God. It is clear that the right has stoked the fire of racism which are despised by God, but not at nearly the same level. Peter displayed racist behavior and God used him in a mighty way. Homosexuality is an abomination. Not the lifestyle that…

Some Thoughts on Christmas

Regular Joe's avatar5 G's and a Cup of Joe

Every Christmas Eve our church has a gathering in which different people volunteer songs, skits, readings and other things to share with the church family. At the end of the evening we gather in a large circle around the auditorium and sing ‘Silent Night. A great time of fellowship and rejoicing in the birth of Jesus. Below is my contribution to our gathering. I hope you enjoy it and have a wonderful Christmas!

Ever since I was a kid I have had a lot of questions; even about Christmas. Yesterday in the morning service we all sang a couple of songs asking questions;

What Child Is This?

Mary Did You Know?

So I am pretty sure I am not the only one with questions.

Angels seem to get a whole lot of attention at this time of the year.
Two Sundays ago we sang Angels We Have Heard on High…

An Eyewitness Proclaims the Word of Life- 1 John 1:1-4

CHAPLAIN KEITH's avatarMinistry of Hope

John’s first letter starts with a prologue that echoes the prologue of his Gospel, but with new emphases. Both focus on the Word of life that has existed from the beginning, but this prologue focuses on the Word’s appearance in flesh that could be seen and touched. John draws a direct connection between the Word he saw and lived with, and the Word he now proclaims. In First John, the Word refers to Jesus, the gospel message, and the life it describes in fellowship with Jesus. The genitive phrase, the Word of life is pregnant with meaning—the Word that gives life or the Word that is life. The Gospel message has been passed down from Christ himself to the author of the letter, and to his recipients

The beginning – 1 John 1:1

Update | Family | Love | Sanctification and More

ForgeFlower's avatarJeremy B. Strang

Greetings brothers and sisters around the world!

I have not been writing nearly as much due to constant directional changes with my job and extensive travel, not to mention the demands of family life. Instead of making several different blog posts, I decided to just post this one (for now) keeping it simple and on point.

Family

When you think of us, please pray for us as a family and as individuals in need of further grace, humility, patience and just flat out sanctification. Also pray as we have been under strong testing and trials of various kinds, some very strong and dangerous.

Some thoughts: Love, true deep biblical love, does not run from discipline, justice and a covering up of the existence of the consequences of sin. Yes, it is full of grace, mercy, truth and forgiveness, however it is not a justification of sin, turning of a ‘blind…

On Why I Am Pro-Life: A Philosophical Approach [Updated 3/21/21]

On Ideas; Not People

“I attack ideas, I don’t attack people – and some very good people have some very bad ideas.” –Supreme Court Justice Antonin Gregory Scalia

Recently, Governor Cuomo of the state of New York signed into law the so-called “Up-To-Birth” abortion bill and in its wake, Alabama and Georgia have voted to ban the practice of abortion. Although the subject of abortion has never left us and continues to be a volatile dividing topic which threatens to fracture, or perhaps, completely destroy friendships and other relationships, the controversy surrounding the issue has been pushed to the forefront of the public consciousness by these events. It has also revealed that within the pro-choice camp there are, indeed, varying degrees of permissibility, with these degrees usually separated by trimester (i.e., abortion is permissible if done within the first, or second trimesters, etc.). In fact, it seems, there are those…

Prayer For Your Marriage

fullofhisgrace's avatarfullofhisgrace

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this life, for the gift of love, and the blessing of our marriage. We give you praise for the joy you’ve poured into our hearts through this love, for the contentment of family, and the happiness of our home. May we always treasure the experience of loving each other in this holy union. Help us to remain forever committed to our vows, those we made to each other, and to you, Lord.

We will need your strength daily Lord, as we live together with the goal of following and serving you. Develop within is us the character of your Son, Jesus, that we might love each other with the love he demonstrated—with patience, respect, understanding, honesty, forgiveness and kindness.

Let us always be a support to one another—a friend to listen and encourage, a refuge from the storm, and most importantly, a warrior in prayer.

Holy…

Trust In Him

Ronald's avatarChristian Meditation

TODAY’S VERSE

“O LORD of Heaven’s Armies, what joy for those who trust in you.”
Psalms 84:12 (NLT)

TODAY’S THOUGHT
Who do you trust? Whether or not you have joy depends on it. How many times have we put our trust in those things that did not deliver? Our friends, programs, fortune, our own strength, a great plan – how many times have our hopes been smashed because our trust was in the wrong place? Today, God is calling. The Almighty, the Lord of all of Heaven’s Armies, says, “Trust in me. Give me your hope. Have faith in my strength and my unfailing love for you.” And so, we move in closer. Barely one hope left – yet that is enough. A mustard seed of faith is all it takes and God delivers. His love is sure, His promises are true, our joy is secure. Today, put your trust…

This is a poem that I wrote to heal our hearts against the COVID and the death of George Floyd who left our world because of Police Brutality. No he wasn’t the only one that lost their lives. There were many more that lost their lives to either COVID or at the deadly hands of white cops, or white civilians. I pray that this poem will soothe your souls and give you peace. There is God who loves us and is concerned about you so much that he sent His son Jesus to die for our sons. God sent out Angels of war to protect us. #icantbreathe #victory #beeurbesteveryday #beeurownrainbow #georgefloyd #policebrutality #justiceforahmaud #justiceforgeorgefloyd #psalm91 https://www.instagram.com/p/CA_BgenluW9/?igshid=16zor1um8eymp

Territorial Demon Exposed

antoniogandy's avatarantoniogandy

It was after my 11am service, we had a quest preacher come in for my anniversary. We were in my office sharing and he says to me to ask God to show me the spirit that is over my area. He began to explain that when Pastors get into building projects and things keep coming against it, stopping, it may be the spirit that is over the region. Because we, on the western side of the hemisphere, struggle with belief in the imperial world we tend not to have respect for deities. Those in the eastern part of the world have a respect for deities therefore they believe in evil spirits and demons. We on the west look at it as entertainment, we’ll play with wigi boards and call it fun. We will play in grave yards, even have people read our palms. We lack respect in the power of…

The Hillbilly Escaped Krapaforniastan

The Conservative Hill Billy's avatartheconservativehillbilly

It took 8 years and a lot of effort but I know live in America once again…Idaho to be exact. What a difference a state makes.

Conservatives and 2nd Amendment supporters are the majority. No gangs, bums, or tweekers. Not being forced to wear a face diaper due to a Scamdemic. We are free to enter establishments sans mask. We bowl, golf, and fish. There are no lines at the DMV. People wave and say hello. Elected officials are held accountable for their actions. Best thing I ever did was leaving Newscum’s Hell Hole!

Here is a quote from Thomas Jefferson.

Maryalice Frere's avatarmypwmbiz

I wish it were possible to obtain a single amendment to our Constitution. I would be willing to depend on that alone for the reduction of the administration of our government to the genuine principles of the Constitution. I mean an additional article taking from the federal government the power of borrowing.

Should the debt be swelled to a formidable size, its entire discharge will be despaired of, and we shall be committed to the English career of debt, corruption and rottenness. The discharge of debt, therefore, is vital to the destinies of our government.

We must make our election between economy and liberty or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debts that we must be taxed in our meat and our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our calling and creeds, as the people of England are, our people…

10 Stages of Mourning the Loss of A Loved One

jaqualinemadden's avatarjaqualinemadden

  1. Allow yourself to grieve the loss of your parent. The grieving process includes shock, denial, bargaining, guilt, anger, depression, resignation, acceptance and finally hope.

  2. Give yourself as much time as you need with each part of the process. If you don’t go through every stage, that’s fine-don’t pretend you’re going through it.

  3. Talk about your deceased parent with your surviving parent, your siblings, other family members and any supportive friends.

  4. Talk about the death, your feelings about the death, your relationship with your parent, happy memories, sad memories and angry memories.

  5. Give yourself permission to feel whatever it is you’re feeling, be it anger, relief, guilt, confusion, depression, sadness, indifference, disbelief or all the above. Express these emotions in whatever way is helpful to you.

  6. Find an outlet to express your grief and sense of loss, using your talents or desires. Go on a trip, paint…

My Sister’s Passing

MJ Bannister's avatarThe Way I See It ...

Kyrie and MeI was with her when she passed. It was the most amazing experience I have ever had, and I am holding on to it to get me through the next few decades without my baby sister. I wrote this down two days later because I did not want to forget.

kb3On August 15, 2006, my sister Kyrie was paralyzed from the waist down in a car accident and was in and out of the hospital for the remaining nine years of her life.

She practiced the Baha’i faith, and she loved Jesus. She also loved Buddha, Muhamed, Confucius, etc. We talked about our faiths often, and we listened to each other with interest and without judgment. She often asked me to pray for her – for healing, pain relief, peace, or strength.

In January of 2014, we were told she had only a few weeks to live. I prayed fervently that the…
