After the one hundred thirty-nine day recount, Lieutenant Governor Rolvaag becomes the thirty-first Governor of Minnesota by just 91 votes. Governing on principle more than charisma, this disciplined leader effectively changed: the junior college system, reapportioned legislative districts, and improved mental institutions. He had the distinction of being the first to serve a four year gubernatorial term. *

Few politicians of this era had more authentic bragging rights as to their Minnesota roots than Karl. Let’s recount a few that would deeply resonate with any Midwesterner of this age:
Karl was born in Northfield, MN. in 1913, and attended St. Olaf.
His father was the iconic Norwegian novelist of “Giants in the Earth”; Ole Rolvaag.
He dropped out of university the year his father passed, 1931, to “head out west”.
He spent six years as a railway “hobo”…

Don’t depress yourself about your negative pasts experiences. Something good will come out of it. You can meet a new person and have brand new friends. There is always a positive side in a bad side. You just have to accept it. Life is never over.

To ENCOUNTER meance to come together or to meet with someone. To encounter with the Jesus Christ meance to come together or to meet Jesus Christ.
To encounter with Jesus one must:

Keep way the world’s property and seek for the Lord’s kingdom.(Exodus 3:4-5),(Matt 7:7-8)
As you seek for the Lord’s kingdom be prayerful for you are fighting against the power of darkness.
You must know whom you are serving my brother and my sister in the lord. (2kings 2:9)

God is so, so good! He has always spoken to me through music, and the words in music, and this morning, after praying and asking for prayers God would reveal His work and leading in my life, He sent me the song “Reason” by Unspoken. The words, but even more so, the images in this video were confirmation He sees me, my desire to fly, and my failed attempts. He is my loving Father, picking me up when I fail, and loving me through it all. He protects me when I am on the verge of going too far outside of His will for my life. When I am ready to give up, he takes my defeat and my hope out of the trash bin and helps me to fly again. Not only this, but He joins me in flight, and others are inspired to fly by my example and…

Could it be that we begin to ask questions upon questions, get anxious, doubt, and judge our future with our present circumstances and challenges because we haven’t walked into a great reality in our walk with God?

What is this great reality that I am pointing your mind and heart to? It is the REALITY OF THE REALM OF CHRIST JESUS! The life-giving Spirit! The reality of the Spirit! The reality of an atmosphere and environment where the mind and thoughts of men amount to nothing. That dimension is not captured with our intellectualism neither is it captured with our natural perception, feelings, and judgments. The function of natural sight cannot capture this reality. This reality is captured and trapped by the Spirit.

When in my bad phase,
I am advised to move on,
I don’t know what to respond,
But, today I want to ask.
