Text: Proverbs 24:13-14
What is an expectation?
‘Expectation’ is a noun from the verb ‘expect’.
It is something you expect to happen to you as a result of certain things, such as a promise.
That promise becomes something you begin to look forward to.
Who is the one promising you that all will be well with you?
The Almighty God
God made you promises.
▪︎ In Exodus 23:26, He said there will be no barren in the land.
God can not lie. Numbers 23:19
Forever, His word is settled in heaven. Psalm 119:89
Your expectation can become yours because of a birthright.
When a child is hungry, they don’t have to worry where the food will come from. It is their birthright to be fed.
God promised our father Abraham that he would be blessed, and all his seed will also be blessed.
Genesis 12:1-3
We are the seed of Abraham; his blessings are our birthright. Galatians 3:29
You can have an expectation when you enter a contract. When you fulfill your part, you can expect the other party to fulfill theirs.
Hannah promised to give her child to the Lord. She fulfilled her part, and God fulfilled His. 1 Samuel 1:9-20
Expectation can come out of the pleasure of one who just loves you.
You know someone who has a track record of generosity. When you go visiting them, you expect to come back with something.
When they come visiting, they bring something along.
When you see them, you expect that something good is about to happen.
Revelation 4:11
God is generous. He won’t allow you to leave empty handed.
When we talk about beyond expectations, we’re saying:
Yes, you’re expecting something, but you got more than you bargained for.
Sarah had no hope at all; her expectation was zero. She laughed when God made her a promise. Genesis 18:9-14
But in Genesis 21:1-7, her laughter of mockery had been changed to a mighty laughter of expectation fulfilled.
As long as you’re alive, there is still hope for you. Ecclesiastes 9:4
Remember that you’re dealing with the One Who says that His hands are underneath, no matter how low you’ve gone. No matter how hopeless the situation is, it can not be beneath God’s hands.
Deuteronomy 33:27
You can’t hit rock bottom because God’s hands are waiting for you.
Rachael was so down that she asked her husband for a child, otherwise, she’d die. Genesis 30:1-2
God answered her.
If you’ve been thinking of committing suicide.
Don’t do it. Your joy begins tonight.
There is a set time for God to have mercy. Psalm 102:13
For you, that time is tonight.
Not only did Hannah get more than she asked for in number, but she also got a prophet.
He was so special that God said whenever he spoke, God wouldn’t allow his word to fall to the ground.
1 Samuel 3
Before his saliva touched the ground, God fulfilled the words from his mouth.
Not only did she give birth to a prophet, but this prophet also became a kingmaker. 1 Samuel 10
He also became a king remover.
Elizabeth experienced the generosity of God.
Luke 1:5-25, Matthew 11:11
God reserved Elizabeth’s womb to birth John the baptist, who needed to come into the world 6 months before Jesus.
Maybe God has reserved your womb till now, because a special child is about to be born.
Barrenness means fruitless efforts.
Peter fished all night and caught nothing. His night became day, and reward came.
I have good news for those of us who have been labouring hard, reward is coming today.
+ Isaac got beyond his expectations because of a promise.
He was the first one to get a set of twins. Genesis 22:15-18
By birthright, he accessed the great blessings on his father. He was blessed even greater than his father. Genesis 24:34-35
In a time of famine, he got a 100-fold harvest.
Genesis 26
Isaac got the reward of obedience, because he obeyed God.
Genesis 26:1-14
God rewarded him so much that he had a store of servants.
He was blessed beyond measure because he obeyed God.
He was rewarded for sowing progressively.
God became pleased with him, and he became the envy of a nation.
It is possible for God to take someone and prosper them so mightily that they become the envy of a whole nation.
Isaac exceeded his expectations maritally and materially.
No matter how old you are, God can still surprise you.
No matter how poor you are, if you are a seed of Abraham, God can still surprise you.
Salvation Call
Until you become a Christian, you’re not a seed of Abraham. If you’re not his seed, there are blessings that you can not access.
God is giving you an opportunity to surrender your life to Jesus.
If you haven’t given your life to Jesus or would like to rededicate your life, ask the Lord to have mercy on you, forgive your sins, wash you clean with His blood, and save your soul.

Words of Prophecy
The Lord asked me to tell someone,
He said all your blessings that have been hanging, will be released today.
The Lord asked me to tell someone, He says you will understand;
You will regain your vitality.
God says there’s someone here, you’re praying for a helper, He says, “I will send you three.”
God says, “You’ll soon know by experience that I am greater than all your problems. “
The Lord says somebody came here with their hand shaking.
He says to check; the hand is no longer shaking.
God says to tell someone;
For the rest of your life
Anything that is called ‘catch it and lose it’ will never be mentioned again in your life.
The Lord says to tell someone, greatness has challenges. He says, “You will be great, and I will help you handle the challenges.”

1. Thank God for His constancy, faithfulness, and ability to do the impossible. Thank Him for Who He is.
2. Father, I have heard Your word, please increase my Faith.
3. Father, I know You can’t lie, just help me to trust You.
4. Father, please surprise me, physically, maritally, materially, spiritually.
5. Father, please make me fruitful and I will serve You wholeheartedly.
6. Father, please enlarge my coast and help me manage the overwhelming blessings that will follow.
7. Father let Your pleasure be done in my life.

‘Beyond Expectations’ are life-changing words.
It means beyond what you desired, beyond what you expected.
An expectation means your desire, longing, or hope.
The woman in the Bible text had hope.
Proverbs 23:18
Hope is critical in getting anything from God.
Hope means you have faith.
Hope in God that He will do it.
And not only will He do it but He will do beyond your expectations.

September 2026 HGS Testimonies
A sister has been trusting God for the fruit for years after marriage. She had been medically told that she had low chance of becoming a mother, but she kept praying.
She came for laying of hands and prayers, and during the November 2025 HGS, she received a prophetic word that she would conceive.
In August 2026, at the age of 43 she delivered a child! Glory to God!
A woman had been given a position in the state, but surprisingly her name was withdrawn. She came to the camp during the Holy Communion service and prayed concerning the matter.
Days after she received a call that her name had been reinstated, and she has now been sworn into office.
Hallelujah!
On the 7th of July, a man suddenly started to grow dim in sight till he lost consciousness. His wife located him and poured the anointing oil on him and used the handkerchief to pray for him.
He was revived and today he is fully recovered.
He is also thanking God for saving him and his wife from a ghastly car accident where they came out unhurt.

Dcns Abiola was led to donate a financial seed to a church program, despite having other plans for the money.
Months later, her son became so sick they needed to travel for medical attention.
She reminded God of that seed, and God healed her son completely.
AP Esther got married in 2004, and suffered many miscarriages while trying to conceive.
Eventually she conceived to full term in 2007 and delivered her first child.
After much trials, she delivered another child in 2009.
Both children had AS genotypes, and she keyed into the testimony of genotype change during one of the HGS, and God did it. Today both her children are now AA genotypes.
A woman is here to thank God for the life of her baby, who developed severe complications during pregnancy.
The intestines of the baby were said to be floating around in the amniotic fluid, with severe organ damage.
The mother kept praying, and Keyes into a word of prophecy that said that God can give new organs.
God did it, and the child was born with her organs in place. The hole found in her was operated on, and for a very young baby, the major surgery ended up successful! Thank you Jesus!
A man was to remove Stage 2 Colon cancer.
From an initially planned few days in the hospital, he spent over a month and was moved to the ICU.
He was diagnosed with so many other diseases, including diabetes, pneumonia, hypertension, asides the cancer.
He got the opportunity for a prayer from Daddy GO, and that same day, his situation improved greatly!
All of the additional diseases were no longer found, he began to eat after 24 days on admission, and he started to recover. Today he is cancer-free!

Mr and Mrs Elijah had been married since 2013 and had been waiting on God for the fruit of the womb.
She became pregnant in 2025, and was pregnant with twins.
When time came for delivery, the first child was brought out alive and well, while the second child was found dead and decayed.
The doctor was amazed at how the dead baby didn’t affect the mother and the other living baby. It could only have been God.
To God be the glory, her baby is hale and hearty today! Thank you Jesus !
Mrs Shola got married in 2023 at the age of 48. The next year she conceived and was told she was carrying twins. She went for a scan and was later told that she was carrying triplets.
Soon after she had a crisis and started bleeding.
She went to the hospital for a check and the doctor confirmed to her surprise that she was carrying four children!
Today she is here to testify to the glory of God for her quadruplets- 2 boys and 2 girls, at the age of 50!

Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that Your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send Your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your Will for the rest of my life.
