Your Mouth Is A Weapon By Pastor Anita Oyakhilome

Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff (Isaiah 41:15)

In Joshua 1:2-3, The LORD said to Joshua: “….now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you.” Thus, by this instruction the children of Israel knew that all they had to do to take possession of the land God gave to them was to step on it. Once they stepped on it, it became theirs.

But in the New Testament, there’s a difference. The power isn’t in your feet, but in your mouth. Many Christians haven’t understood this truth, so they walk in ignorance. When trying to acquire something, like a piece of property for example, you’ll find them marching around it because the LORD said, “Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you.” Oh, that they would realize that the victory is now in their mouth! Today, it’s no longer “Where the soles of your feet shall tread upon” rather, it’s “you shall have what you say!” Possession is with your mouth.

The Old Testament folks were taught to battle that way because they functioned in the sense (physical) realm. But now in the New Testament, we battle differently, from the realm of The Spirit. In that realm, there’s no recognition of distance; you don’t need to march around a building to get it. All you need do is use your mouth, for it has been given to you to chart your course and to do battle which is your fight of faith. How important the mouth is!

Every time you release words with your mouth, you’re wielding a dangerous weapon. The Greek word for mouth is “stoma”, which means “the front or edge of a weapon.” With this weapon, you can cut down such enemies as poverty, failure, cancer, diabetes, HIV and so on. When you declare: “This growth will not stay in my body,” you’re cutting it down with your weapon. No wonder the Bible says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds(2 Corinthians 10:4).

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Christ In You The Hope Of Glory!

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27)

The Christian is not a religious fellow, but one in whom all the fullness of Deity resides. If you’re born again, God dwells in you. This should give you a new mindset and confidence in life. There’s a big difference between us today – the new creation – and the Old Testament folks. God’s plan was to be in them, but they couldn’t enter into His rest because of unbelief.

When Jesus came, He came as “Emmanuel”, meaning “God with Us”, and thus was them until His crucifixion. After His resurrection, and the arrival of the Holy Spirit, the new creation – The Church – came into being and now, He lives in Us by The Holy Spirit. Hallelujah! He’s no longer Emmanuel, God with us, but God in Us. God was with the prophets of old, but He is more than with us today, He is in us. This is the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but has now been made manifest to His saints. That mystery is: Christ in you, the hope of glory!

So how do I know that my life is going to be glorious? The answer is because Christ is in me! That’s my hope for a healthy, prosperous, vibrant and successful life! That’s my confidence that I’ll never be defeated in life. The Bible says when He died, I died with Him, when He was buried, I was buried with Him; and when God raised Him from the dead, I was raised together with Him. And now that I’ve been raised together with Him, and made to sit together with Him in the heavenly realms, no more death; no more defeat; no more sickness. In Him I live now and forever! Hallelujah!

Remember, you’re not an ordinary person; you belong in a special class of divine beings – “The Christ-In-You-Species!” This is your hope for the transcendent life of the miraculous.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Be Polite To Others

Communication

Communication (Photo credit: P Shanks)

Be Polite To Others

Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome), seasoned (as it were) with salt, (so that you may never be at a loss) to know how you ought to answer anyone (who puts a question to you) (Colossians 4:6 AMP)

For many in our country, acting in a polite and civil manner, after being exposed to protracted years of military rule is something to learn. Many are yet to learn the importance of the words “Please”, “Excuse me” and “Thank You” in their communication with others. They are of the erroneous belief that being polite is a sign of weakness in one’s character, but that’s not true. Rather, being polite is something that reveals the strength of character.

In James 3:13-14, the Bible says, “Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.” In essence, where you use the right words to address others, you’re actually displaying the wisdom of God that’s in you. But bitterness in the heart of man will produce harsh words and abusive communication.

So, in relating with those around you, don’t use bitter, harsh or abusive words. Let your words reflect the presence of the Spirit of God that lives in you. Colossians 4:6 says “ Be gracious in your speech. The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down or cut them out” (MSG). Let your words uplift, encourage, inspire, soothe and build. Don’t allow communication that could inflict pain or stir strife or discord out of your lips.

See others with the eyes of God and address them that way. Be humble in your communication (James 4:6). Don’t use hurtful words to address people and don’t raise your voice against them. Be courteous, respectful, and civil in your relationship with others.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Divine Health Is Ours In Christ Jesus. By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Divine Health Is Ours In Christ Jesus. By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayst prosper and be in health…. (3 John 1:2)

God’s desire for us His children is for us to live in divine health! The life He gave us when we were born again is divine, and that life can’t be corrupted by any sickness or disease. The Bible however says that the believer has been delivered from death and all its effects (Romans 8:2). That includes sickness, for sickness is incipient death. The reason many Christians are still suffering in their bodies is that they are oblivious of this truth.

Some
time ago, God showed me a vision: I saw a man, a born again Christian, who was dying of a deadly cancerous disease and his doctors had given him up to die. This man came to me to be healed and as I stood before him, God opened my eyes and I couldn’t see any cancerous growth in his body. “So, what‘s the matter with him?” I thought and God said, “That’s the problem with many of my children; they love to observe lying vanity.”

The Bible says, in Romans 8:11, “…He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.” The Holy Spirit dwelling in you will invigorate, vitalize, and give strength and life to your mortal body. When you’re ignorant of God’s Word you’ll continually live in sickness and erroneously think its God’s way of punishing you.

When you become well acquainted with the truth, you’ll be able to walk out of the oppression of the enemy: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). For the devil can only take advantage of those who’re ignorant of the truth. Therefore, get a hold of God’s Word and make it personal to you. By that I mean, do more in meditation and declaration of God’s Word concerning you. Remember, it’s your right and present possession to live in divine health and prosperity.

Prayer:

Father! I declare that I walk in divine health. The Bible says, my body is the Temple of the Holy Ghost, therefore sickness and disease can’t dwell in this body, in the Name of the LORD Jesus Christ, Amen!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Grace! The Power of Promotion

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Grace- The Power of Promotion

“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south” (Psalm 75:6).

Promotion, the Bible says, doesn’t come from the east, west, or south, but from God. The Lord delights in promoting His kids; that is, taking them from one level to a higher level in every aspect of their lives. He detests stagnation and retrogression; that’s why He wants you to make progress and move forward in this year 2013. The Bible says, “…the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18). The exciting thing about favour is that its promotion defies human logic and awes the natural mind. This year is your set time to experience supernatural promotion.

As a child of God, you need to understand that God’s grace is upon you and that grace is your power for promotion. Hallelujah! You’ve been born into favour, into the “forward and upward” life; you ought to keep experiencing supernatural promotions in every area of your life. Check out the man Joseph in the Bible, He was sold by his brothers into Egypt as a slave. Potiphar’s wife lied against him, and he was eventually incarcerated in Pharaoh’s dungeon. Yet, that grace (the power of promotion) working in him moved him from the prison house to being the Prime Minister of Egypt (Genesis 41:39-40). Everyday throughout this year is an opportunity for you to experience promotion because 2013 is the set time for you to apprehend that higher level that God has prepared for you! There’s room for you at the top, so take it!

This year, God is going to use seemingly unfavourable situations, which ordinarily should have led to your disadvantage as the very means for your promotion because you’re His favoured child. Humble yourself; be diligent in your work and in all that you do, and by the Spirit of God, you’ll keep experiencing supernatural promotions. This is your hour to stand out from the crowd and sparkle for the Lord! Never forget this, 2013 is the set time for God to promote and exalt you because it is your year of Favour. Praise the Lord!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen

Pray Every Day

Pray Every Day

“Devote Yourselves To Prayer…”  Colossians 4:2 NAS

Each night a little girl would throw one of her shoes under the bed before going to sleep. When her mother asked why, she replied, “My Sunday School teacher said if I have to get down by my bed in the morning and look for my shoe, it’ll remind me to say my prayers while I’m there.” If it helps, Why Not! Throw your shoe under the bed every night!

Prayer is the life force that sustains us spiritually. David wrote. As the deer paints for streams of water, so my soul pants for you….My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? (Psalm 42:1-2 NIV)

In his book, The Power And Blessing, Pastor Jack Hayford writes: “I had gone on vacation and I needed it! It was delightful to get to the beach. But about the fourth day….I found I was feeling empty inside. Then it occurred to me that for four days I hadn’t read a Word of Scripture prayed a prayer or sung a song of praise. It was just of “Let’s get away from it all.” We were so involved with church that we didn’t want to do anything “godly” for a while. But suddenly I was called back by the inner hollowness I felt. Through that experience I learned that I can’t recover at a physical or emotional level, if I neglect the spiritual level”.

The Bible says: “Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving.” Only when you’ve spent time in God’s presence and drawn strength from Him, will you be equal to the challenges you face on any given day!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Father Almighty, i want to thank you for your children born in the month of January.

January is the first month of the year and so for all these your children, I’m asking this year for first time miracles in Jesus name.

Blessings that will be first of its kind send to them in Jesus name.

Testimonies that will be first of its kind give to them in Jesus name and in every area of their lives, let them be first, when it comes to serving you let them be first.

In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Amen.

ANNOUNCEMENT

By the grace of God the February Holy Ghost service will be a very special one.

The theme is wonderful.

Now let me tell you one thing before we begin; after everybody had prayed during the Congress and the New Year service and of course I was praying for everybody.

I was finally left alone with my God and I said Lord thank You for the Congress.  Thank You for the year that is gone by, thank You for everybody who came that they returned safely.

I said it is now my turn, me too I want to ask for a New Year present. My Daddy says “go ahead!” I said “Daddy what I want to ask is big, but am bold to ask because I know that You know even before I ask.

I said in the Redeemed Christian church of God in the year 2013, I want at least one million three hundred thousand healings”.

I am happy to tell you that my Daddy told me, request granted.

And so it will be your fault, not mine, not God’s if you miss any Holy Ghost Service this year, because He reminded me that the Holy Ghost service started when I made a similar request, way back in 1986.

At that time I asked Him for a miracle for every member of the congregation and He said bring them together and I will do what you asked.

That was the beginning of the Holy Ghost Service.

And somehow it kept on going and going. Now He has promised me every Holy Ghost night there will be massive healings.

So if you seat down at home don’t blame me, I know God is able to heal everywhere but tonight is going to be different, so there is no need for me to hurry.

I will remind you of two testimonies.

The elders here will remember one; there was these bank manager, he was a bank manager in one of the town in Ogun state.

Suddenly he ran mad, I mean completely mad, so they called the police, they handcuffed him and they chained his legs, they were taking him to Arrow (Asylum).

And in his madness he said one thing, please take me to Redemption Camp, because i know if my feet touches that ground, I know I will be well.

He was mad but in His madness, he made that request.

And they brought him here, I was alone on the Camp ground when they arrived.  And they told me what he said.  If I remembered correctly I think there were either four or six police men that were with him.

He was wild!

I said if that was what he said, “loose him and let him come down”.

They say ah! We knew what we went through before we captured him. I said but you heard what he said?

Thank God the Bible says it shall be unto you according to your faith. They said “Sir, if we lose him, whatever happened you will be responsible”.

I said “loose him”. They removed his handcuff, they removed his chain, he stepped on this ground and instantly he became sane.

That is one example, you see there are grounds and there are grounds, this is holy ground.

I will tell you another true story, testimony you’ve heard of a woman, she is probably in the crowd.

She went abroad to either London or America to take care of her grand children and there she suffered a stroke and she told the children.

“Take me back to Nigeria” and they said to her “people who have your problem, if they have the money they want to come abroad for treatment”.

She said “if I can get to the Redemption Camp, I will be made whole” They said well, if that is what you want. They brought her here.

As soon as she landed on the Camp Ground, because she said just take me there, that was all.

As soon as she landed, every traces of stroke disappeared.

On this ground this year, there will be Signs and Wonders. If you like seat down at home don’t say I didn’t tell you, but it is up to you.

THE MESSAGE

Philippians 2 v 9 -11 Wherefore, God has also has highly exalted Him, and given him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things in earth, of things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the father.

What is in a name?

Everything! Your future is bound up in your name; everything that is likely to happen to you is embedded in that name.

Moses was called Moses according to Exodus 2 because he was drawn out of water.

For the rest of his life; water kept on pursuing him.  He changed water to blood in Exodus chapter 7, he parted the red sea in Exodus chapter 14, he turned bitter sweet in Exodus chapter 15, He brought water out of the rock in Exodus chapter 17 and when he failed to get to the promise land it is because of water In Numbers 20, water kept following him.

The Almighty God knows the important of name so much that on several occasions, He had to change the names of some people for their destiny to be fulfilled.

Genesis 17 v 1 -9 He changed Abram to Abraham, barren man to father of nations. He changed Sarai to Sarah Exodus 17 v 15-16 barren woman to princess, mother of nations. Genesis 32v 24-26 he changed Jacob to Israel; he changed a man to a nation!

Listen to me very carefully, find out the full meaning of your name and if there is a need, change that name now.  If your name means Satan has received this (Esubiyi) changed the name to the Lord has received this (Jesu biyi) get away from Satan.

What is in a name?

My mother told me that when she was going to see the priest concerning my baptismal name, the name she had in mind was Elisha.

But when she got to the man, she had forgotten, so she said Enoch.  I said no problem I will keep the two; Elisha double portion anointing, Enoch the man that work with God.

You want to know my full name? I will tell you today, but before I tell you my full name, do you know I was born on a Sunday?

Don’t let anybody deceive you all these people who are older than seventy, they don’t know their birthday.

They just chose one.  Nobody wrote down names in those days, nobody wrote down birthdays. They just chose one, because you have to give a name in the school, official birthday.

So I asked my mother, when was I born?

She said the year that so and so King mounted the throne in Ilesha.

I said okay I know that one that was in 1942.

I said what month?

She said how do I know?  But she said I can tell you one thing, it is a Sunday.

She said I know it is Sunday because they are celebrating something in the church and so everybody left and I was alone in the house.

So I delivered you alone.

What else can you tell me about that Sunday?

She said it was a very strange Sunday.

The rain was falling and the sun was shining, which is an indication in our area that a Tiger was being born.

You may think I am joking, ask my elder sisters they are still alive, they will tell you one of my nick name is the Tiger, do I look like a tiger to you now.

But if you want to hear my full name, you will find that the full name should be something like

Enoch, Elisha, Sunday, Adejare, Adetona, Olagundoye, Adeboye alias the Tiger. There is one alias I won’t tell you, that one is reserved for my wife.

And when I was preparing the sermon and I felt the Holy Spirit saying write this down. And I said this is going to be funny.  He said just go ahead and do what I tell you, He said when you finish, tell my children this will be a year of laughter.

So what is in your name?

Check if there is any evil one reject it and if there is a good one you want, add and God will say Amen.

Jesus loves names.

He has many names. In John 10 v 7 He said I am the Door, in John 10 v 11 He says I am the Good Shepherd.

In John 11 v 25 He said I am the Resurrection and the Life. In John 14 v 6 He says I am the Way the Truth and the Life.

In Isaiah 9 v 6, His Father called Him Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of peace.

In Revelation chapter 1 v 8 He said I am the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning, the Ending, the One who is, the One who was, the One who is to come, the Almighty.

Eight names at a stretch and each names is significant, don’t think He was just compiling names, and there are many, many more of His names.

And because there was no way we would have finished, that is why we want to talk about the WONDERS OF HIS NAME.

And because there is no way we would have finished that is why he has asked us to talk about one special name next month and that is WONDERFUL, and I am sure some people will see wonders next month.

His name guarantees deliverance.

He said in my name you will cast out demons, Mark 16 v17. His name guarantees healings Mark 16 v 18, His name guarantee freedom, John 8 v 36 whosoever the Son shall set free shall be free indeed.

His name guarantees joy John 16 v 24, His name guarantee peace Isaiah 9 v 6, His name guaranteed promotion, John 12 v 32, His name guarantees victory; at the mention of His name all knees, including the enemies knees shall bow.

His name guarantees rest, Matthew 11 v 28-30. His name guarantees satisfaction John 7v 37-39, His name guarantees answer to all your questions, to all your prayers, John 14 v 14.

But tonight we want to look within a short period of time at just a few of these names, the one in John 14 v 6 He said I am the Way, the Truth and the life.

What does He mean by I am the Way?

If you are in a town and you want to go to another town that you don’t know, you will ask people what is the way out of these town to where am going?

Jesus is the Way out of sickness, Mark 16 v 17-18, in My name you will lay hand on the sick they will recover.

In Act 9 v 32-35 Bibles tells us of a man called Anias.  Anias was sick, Peter went into his room and said Anias, Jesus has made the whole. And immediately the man came out of sickness.

In the name that is above every other name, tonight someone will come out of sickness.

His name is the way out of death, in Matthew 10 v 5- 8 He told the disciples to go out, preach the gospel, heal the sick, cleanse lepers, raised the dead.

In Act 9 v 36 – 42, in the example that somebody mentioned among those who have spoken before me, example of Dorcas.  Dorcas had died, Peter turned to her and said Dorcas, in the name of Jesus, come back to life and she rose.

Thank you my Father and my God, Daddy said we will start the New Year, with seventy thousand healing tonight.

Jesus is the name out of death.

I have told you the story of one occasion when I went to visit a man.  I got there just to pray for the family and be on my way.

And the wife was carrying a baby on her back and they said this baby will not allow anybody else to carry her except the mother.

But as I walked into the house, the child stretched from the back of the mother, the child stretch violently towards me that if I didn’t catch her she probably would have fallen down.

And I was just wondering why? Well since the child was already in my hand, I prayed for her in the name of Jesus.

Few months later, the mother was confessing; nobody knew that the mother was a witch; the mother said that was the day she was going to kill the girl, but the girl sees death and seeing the representation of Jesus, stretched out and her appointment with death was cancelled.

Any appointment with death concerning you is cancelled today in Jesus name.

Thank you my Father, Daddy asked me to tell someone, He said you will remember this year as the year God begins to favor you.

Jesus is the way out of embarrassment, John 2 v 1 – 11.

There was a wedding in Cana of Galilee and they ran out of wine, and they find themselves in a big embarrassment.

They invited the guests and the guests were seated and long before the feast was over, there was no more wine.

But thank God Jesus was there, and they went to Jesus and He brought them out of their embarrassment.

Every embarrassing situation in your life, you are coming out in Jesus name.

So He is the way out of sickness. Out of death and out of embarrassment.

He is also the way into, just as there is a way out of, there is the way into; He is also the way into; He is the way into the presence of God.

John 14 v 6 He said I am the Way the Truth and the Life, no man cometh to the Father, except by Me.

You want to come into the presence of God? You come by Jesus. And because He is the Way into the presence of God, He is the way onto fullness of Joy.

Psalm 16 v 11, the Bible says in the presence of God, there is the fullness of joy.  It takes Jesus to bring you into the fullness of joy.

Hebrew 10 v 19 tells us that we can now go boldly into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.

I think I was telling those of you who are here for the watch night service and by the way if you are not here for the watch night service, I want to encourage you,  get the tape.

The Holy Communion service was first of its kind. The cross over service was first of its kind, get the tape, both will bless you; get more than one so you can give your friends as New Year gift.

So I was telling them, I said anytime I had to visit head of states and I have visited for quite a few of them.

The first time I visited the head of state of Gambia; security check one, security check two, security check three, then you get to general reception, another check, you get to another general reception, another check, then you get to the presence of the president.

I said it is easier to get into the presence of God.

And it is not Gambia alone, Nigeria too; if you have ever been to Aso Rock find out; they will check you gate one, check you gate two, check you gate three, the people in gate three will be watching you as they are checking you in gate two, they will still check you and that is long before you get close to the entrance of the house and they check again, then another check.

Thank God all I need to do to get into His presence is to say in the name of Jesus. Do I hear somebody shout Jesus!

He is the way out of sickness, death, embarrassment, He is the way into the presence of the Almighty God and He is the way forward.

When everything seems to be stagnant with you, call the name. Suddenly progress will come!

In Act 3 v 1 -8 that lame man had been stagnant for forty years, Peter said to him, silver and gold have I none, but what I have I give unto you in the name of Jesus, rise up and walk, and the man who have been stagnant for forty years, got up, began to walk, began to leap, he began to praise God. When you call that name progress begins.

In John 5 v 2-9 a man have been sick for thirty eight years on one spot; he has been stagnant for thirty eighth years. The moment Jesus arrived everything changed.

I am believing God for all those whose promotions has been delayed, this year your promotion shall be accelerated.

Thank you my Daddy, the Lord said there is someone here special, He ask me to tell you, He said I promise you, that this year your waiting will be over.

Daddy says there is someone here tonight; He said towards the end of last year you did something special for Him, He said this year you will see the abundance evidence of His gratitude.

He is the Way out of, the Way into, the Way forward and He is the Way where there is no way.

In Exodus 14 v 1- 28 when the children of Israel got to the red sea and they couldn’t go forward, but they looked back and saw Pharaoh and his host pursuing them and they began to cry.

Moses cried to God, and God said why are you crying to me? Tell the Children of Israel to move forward, Moses said move forward? There is a sea there Lord! He said “I will show you I can make way where there is no way.

I prophesy to someone here tonight, everywhere where there say there is no way; there will be a way for you.

In Act 12 v 5- 11 Peter was in prison, the doors were locked securely, guards were outside but the enemies were not satisfied they still tied him to two soldiers, one on the right, one on the left with chains, to make sure that there will be no way of escape.

They were so sure they got this one. But Jesus made a Way where there is no way.

In the name that is above every other name, in the wonderful name of Jesus, all those who say they have captured you shall be disappointed.

Let me hear you shout Jesus one more time.

Daddy says there is someone here tonight, He says your showers of blessings will begin this month and grow bigger and bigger and bigger.

He is the Way out of, the Way into, the Way forward, the Way where there is no way and He is the Way upward.

In John 12 v 32 Jesus Christ said if I be lifted up, I will draw all men to Me.  As you lift up Jesus, He will draw you up.  That is promotion!

In Luke 5 v 8-11, He promoted a fisher man called Peter, a failure! He promoted him so much that anywhere you go in the world today, you will hear the name Peter, you see houses upon houses built for Peter, Peter’s cathedral, Peter Basilica, Peter’s this. Peter’s that.

In that wonderful name of Jesus, you too would be promoted.

He is the Way upward; He can pick up a beggar from the dunghill and keep lifting him up until he begins to sit down among princes.

I have told you before, if man is the one that promoted you, the same fellow who promoted you will bring you down.

That is why I always pity some people that I see who love press men; you want to get press men to write beautiful article about you, so you can become popular, one day the same people, who wrote the beautiful articles about you, they are the one who will write the one that will damage you.

If man lifts you up, number one you go as high as his hand can lift you and after sometime when his hand is tired you begin to come down, but my Father’s hands are everlasting, when He lifts you up, you just keep going higher and higher.

Daddy says that there is someone here tonight; He says I should tell you, all traffic lights are green. And He says He will keep them so for a long time.

God says there is someone here tonight; He said in less than three years, your level will change from a stream to an ocean.

He is the Way out of, the Way into, the Way forward, the Way where there is no way and He is the Way upward and He is the only Way.

Act 4 v 12 says there is no other name, even among men whereby men shall be saved. Mathew 1 v 21 says you shall call His name Jesus for He shall save his people.

When you have prayed and you don’t even know what to say anymore, just keep on saying; Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!

I think it was during the watch night service that I also mentioned this; I was in far away Indonesia last year for a prayer conference and I was ask to speak on prayer.

I told the great men of God all over the world gathered over there, I said God answers prayers, they said does He answer all the time? I said He answer prayers all the time.

I said the only reason you have said that He didn’t answer your prayer at certain times is because you stop praying.

You got tired because you have alternatives. People like me I have no alternatives, Jesus is my last bus stop.

if a member of the congregation has a problem and he thinks he cannot handle it on his own, he report to the pastor, when the pastor cannot handle it, he refers it to the general overseer, when the general overseer has a problem where can he go?

I have no alternative; I have nowhere else to go and because there is no where I am going and He knows am not moving.

Jacob said, if God does not answer my prayer now, Esau will kill me tomorrow morning, so when God says let Me go, he said ah! Go where? I will not let you go, unless You settle my case.

How many of you want your case settle tonight, how many of you are going to hold on to Jesus, until He settle your case?

Let me hear you say amen loud and clear.

He is the Way, He is the Truth, John 8 v 32 says you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free, when you know Jesus, freedom comes. John 8 v 36, whomsoever the Son shall set free shall be free indeed.

I have told you the story before, my father had a disagreement with his peers, in my village compound in 1960, and they told him because the disagreement has to do with me, I was in my final year in the secondary school then, he said to them, I will do what you say but please let this my son finish his education.

And they told him point blank, so it is because of this boy you won’t join us?  You will see how old that boy will be before he dies, they told him in the family meeting.

He came home and told my mother and I ran and for thirteen years I was running, then I met Jesus, and now the when the forces of darkness see me coming, they run, they run because of Jesus.

Are there witches and wizards in your family?  Face them with Jesus.

Are there herbalists who say they have already destroyed your future?  Face them with Jesus.

Is there anyone in power, no matter how powerful, who says he is going to destroy you? Face him with Jesus.

Is there any mountain that has refused to move all these years? Face it with Jesus.

Because whomsoever the Son shall set free shall be free indeed.

The mad man of Gedaren has six thousand demons in him, one word from Jesus, one word from the Truth and he was free.

The devil is a liar, and he has kept many of us in bondage for a long time.  Thank God the Truth has come.

Do you know for a long time it was taught and believed that anyone who wants to go to heaven must be poor?   They said because it is said that the love of money is the root of all evil.

The devil knows how to quote the Bible, he quotes it in a way that many of you, if you don’t study the word completely you won’t know the difference.

It is not money that God says is evil, He says it is the love of money.

Without money how can we ever have built this auditorium?

Just imagine think of all the kilometer of steel in this place, heavy duty steel all the way from China. Think of all the tons upon tons of cement that have gone into the foundation, not to talk of electricity, not to talk of amplifier and we are not even as good as we want to be yet.

But the devil wants you to believe a lie, you can be the poorest man in the world, if you are not born again you will still go to hell, and you can be the richest man in the world provided you live holy, you will make it to heaven.

He said I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health as you soul prosper.

It is when you want money to such an extent that you are ready to sacrifice your salvation for money then you are in trouble.

Because in the story of the rich young ruler Luke 18 v 18 – 30 the young ruler, came to Jesus and said “sir, what must I do to make it to heaven?

The Lord said oh you know the laws, do this, do this, he said I have been doing all that.

Jesus Christ said only one thing remain, He said go and sell all you have, give to the poor, come and follow me.

Because Jesus knew this man loves money more than salvation, it was a test.

He said keep your salvation and I will keep my money.

That is why Jesus said poor fellow, he can’t even make it to heaven, some people love money so much that they will steal, some people love money so much that they will defraud, some people love money so much that they will inflate the cost of materials; those people are in trouble, because no liar will make it to heaven.

But my God does not want you to die poor, He said I have come for you to have life and have it more abundantly, He said I am the Truth.

I have seen some things, I have told my pastors, I have seen an airport, very big airport, and I have seen several planes packed there and each one has the symbol of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Your own is there. So those who say you are going to die poor tell them they are lying, we will serve the Lord in holiness, in purity, we will not lie, we will not cheat, we will not steal and we shall prosper.

Whether the devil likes or not we shall reach the top.

Then the Truth.

Let me just one more thing about the Truth.

Do you know there is an organization that says you must not mention the blood of Jesus?

Don’t talk about the blood! And there are some very intelligent people who belong to that organization.

I won’t mention names. I was talking to one of them, I said sir, it is written in Hebrews 9 v 22 without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin.

I said who do you think is afraid of the blood of Jesus?

Only one fellow, that is the devil.

Rev. 12 v 11 said they overcame the devil by the blood of the lamb. The only one who says don’t mention the blood is the devil.

I said the organization you belong to might be connected to the devil, he doesn’t like the Truth but that is the Truth cleanses from all sins. It gives victory over Satan.

Let me hear somebody say the blood of Jesus.

The Way the Truth.

Let me say one thing about the truth as it concern grace.

Salvation is free, it’s by grace, Ephesians 2 v 9 says it is by grace you are saved not of works, lest any man should boast.

Salvation is free, but after you are saved, after all your sins are forgiven, it will be falsehood to say I can now live like a child of the devil and make it to heaven.

That is a lie. Romans 6 v 1 -2 says can we continue in sin and expect grace to abound, God forbid.

We all know that God is love, I know that 1John 4 v 4 -8 makes it clear, God is love.

And if anybody knows about the love of God, please look at me very well, I am a living example of the love of God, He loves me, that is why I call him Daddy, not everybody can call Him Daddy.

Even Christians calls Him Father, but few of us can call Him Daddy and He is my Daddy.

I know Him, He loves me. But I also know Him, He loves me, I also know according to Hebrew 12 v 29 that this my God.

This Daddy, this God who is Lord is also a consuming fire, you don’t mess with Him, if you mess with Him, he will deal with you. I know!

I have told you the story before… several years ago, I have this little camp ground in Epe.

We want to prepare a little place for workers meeting, so we need toilet, so I got a surveyor to take the contract, to build two big latrines, one for men, one for women, at that time we are still using feet, 6 feet deep, each one and we negotiated how much, he asked me to show him the place.

So I took him to the place, when he began to measure, instead of measuring sixty feet, he measure sixty meters and God spoke to me and said son correct him!

I said no! If he is a surveyor and he doesn’t know the difference between feet and meter let him suffer for it.

We went to the second place he began to measure in meter instead of feet, Daddy spoke to me, son correct him.

And I said no! Which university did he go to?

After he finished measuring there is this hefty Hausa man who was one of the diggers that was helping him to dig.

And if you have ever see these diggers you will know what I am talking about, he saw me and smiled at me and said Megidda.

I want to be a nice fellow, so I stretched out my hand to receive his hand, and he grabbed my hand and he began to crush it, and I am telling you the hand of this digger is like iron, he was crushing my hand and he was smiling, the pain was horrible, I had to cry out to God, Father help!

It is not a joking matter you can laugh it is not your hand!

And Daddy replied me immediately and said

“I told you to correct him! I said “I will, I will”.

And the man released my hand.

So I called the surveyor corrected him but in the main time my hand was burning like fire.

As I was going to my car I was grumbling Daddy this punishment is too much.

He said, I will not tolerate any nonsense from you.

That is the truth, God is love, that is the truth, but He is also the consuming fire.

And you shall know the Truth and the Truth will set you free.

If you think you can mess around with God you are in for a surprise. Wonderful God, beautiful God but He is the God of grace, but don’t abuse that grace.

He said I am the Way the Truth and the Life!

The Lord says there is someone here tonight, He said I have parted your red sea there is no going back now.

Daddy says there is someone here tonight; He said a new wave of anointing will envelop youthis year.

Daddy says there is someone here tonight; He said very soon you will be singing:

I have joy like the ocean, in my soul,

I have joy, joy like the ocean,

Joy like the ocean in my soul.

Then He said I am the Life.

John 3 v 36 says anyone who believes on the Lord Jesus, will have everlasting life, but anyone who will not believe in Him will not even see life, He said but the Judgment of God will be upon Him.

I’m going to give opportunity to those of you who have not given your life to Jesus to do so now.

Thank you Father, one more word for him, for me and for many of us here; Daddy says when it is rained dry grass becomes green, He said there is someone here He said I will rain on you.

If you have not given your life to Jesus please do so tonight.

If you have been pretending to be born again, change your mind, come and give your life to Jesus Christ, without Jesus Christ it will be difficult to survive this year.

But with Jesus Christ, others may be weeping you will be laughing, this will be a glorious year for those who have Jesus.

If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus come and do so now.

Give your life to Him.   He will forgive you all your sins,

So if you want to give your life to Jesus, come and stand before me now.

And as you come, begin to talk to Jesus, ask Him to have mercy on you, ask Him to save your soul, ask Him to forgive you your sins, ask him to save your soul, promise Him that from now on you will serve Him, He will be your Lord and savior.

The rest of us, let’s stretch our hands towards these people and begin to pray for them, let’s intercede for them, that the Almighty God, the savior will have mercy upon them…

In Jesus Mighty name we have prayed.

Savior I want to bless Your Holy name for your word that has gone forth tonight.

Thank You for these your children that have come forward to surrender their lives to You, everyone of them receive in Jesus name.

Forgive in Jesus name, let Your blood wipe away all their sins in Jesus name, save their souls and write their names in the book of life in Jesus name.  From now on, any time they call on You, please answer them in Jesus name.

Jesus Has Ordained Us To Receive Answers To Our Prayers

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my Name, He may give it you (John 15:16)

One of the wonderful blessings of the new creation life is our privilege to talk directly to God in prayer, and receive answers. When Jesus walked the earth physically, anyone who needed a divine intervention or wanted anything from God had to get to Jesus and make requests of Him. But towards the end of His earthly ministry, The Master declared “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My Name, He will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” (John 16:23-24).

You have the right to pray directly to the Father in the Name of Jesus Christ and receive answers to your prayers. Sadly, some Christians don’t have confidence in their own prayers, so they look to others to pray for them. They’re not sure that God will hear them when they pray. But if you’re born again, that shouldn’t be your story for the Bible declares in 1 Peter 3:12: “….The eyes of the LORD are over the righteous,, and His ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the LORD is against them that do evil.”

Thus you’re guaranteed to receive answer your prayers – Our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ has chosen you, and ordained you to receive answers to prayers. This should make your prayer times exciting moments with the LORD, for you know that every time you pray, you’ll surely receive answers. Therefore the next time you kneel or lift your hand to pray, remember the Words of Jesus Christ – “But I have chosen you, and ordained you…. That whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My Name, He may give it you.”

God is not holding back from you, so never doubt His willingness to respond to your requests. He loves to hear your voice in prayers, and delights in answering your prayers. Amen!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

“HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD” A Sermon And Prayer Points By Daddy G O, Pastor E A Adeboye RCCG

Thank you Lord, glory be to your holy name, thank you savior, let’s just go ahead and praise Him, magnify his holy name, praise him, praise the King of king, praise the Lord of Lords, magnify his holy name, he is worthy to be praised, he is worthy to be adored. Bless his holy name, worship the King of kings and the Lord of Lords, worship the ancient of days, magnify him, and praise him.

There is no one like him, he is the Almighty, he is the ancient of days, he is greater than the greatest, he is better than the best. Praise him, lift him high, he is great, he is wonderful, he is great he is wonderful, he is kind, glorious, powerful, and holy, magnify his holy name.

There is no one like him. Thank you my father, glory be to your holy name. Thank you Lord. Thank you Lord, blessed be your name Lord, be glorified forever, and thank you so much… in Jesus mighty name we worshipped.

Now I want you to lift your voice to him and say father, please show your almightiness in my life tonight… thank you father, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.
Lift your voice to him and say father, every day of this month, give me a pleasant surprise… in Jesus Mighty name we have prayed.

You are the mighty God, the great I am, halleluiah, halleluiah!
You are the mighty God, the great I am, halleluiah, halleluiah!
You are the mighty God, the great I am, halleluiah, halleluiah!

Almighty God, the creator of the heaven and the earth, the possessor of the earth, the joy of the whole universe, the beginning of all beginnings, the ending of all endings, the most high, the Almighty, the one who is greater than the greatest, older than the oldest, richer than the richest, wiser than the wisest, glory be to your holy name, father, glory be to your holy name, accept our worship in Jesus name. Tonight in all our lives, please show your greatness, show our power, show your love, show your kindness, show your mercy, and show your faithfulness. Like never before visit your children tonight, at the end of everything let your name be glorified. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Amen, let someone shout halleluiah!

Psalm 91v1 he that dwelt in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. How great is our God? Ecclesiastes 5 v 8 tells us that he is greater than the greatest and according to Daniel 4 v 34-35, compare to our God, every other person on earth is as nothing. When we talk about greatness, the bible have various ways of illustrating what greatness is all about; when it is talking about greatness it is talking about size. He was talking for example in Genesis, that the greater light to rule the day, the lesser light to rule the night.

When he was trying to tell us how great Goliath was, he described the helmet, the shield, the spear, how big, how wide. so how great is our God, let’s consider his size; nobody has ever seen God, but the bible tells us a little bit about his size, how long are his legs; he sits in heaven, his leg, his feet touches the earth. According to Isaiah 66 v 1 heaven his is stool, the earth is hi footstool that tells you how long his leg are. The bible tells us His arms are everlasting harm, his arms are so long, they are everlastingly long. His ears are so big, that when the whole world is praying at the same time, he can hear all of us. Psalm 65 v 2 says you that hear that hears prayers, unto you shall all flesh come.

So when we are talking about how great our God and we consider his stature, we can’t describe how big his head is, but we know how big his ears are; we know how long his leg are, we know how long his arm are. When we talk about greatness, the bible also refers to greatness in terms of power. In Exodus 18 v 11 the bible talks about hour God greater than all gods. Here he is telling us that he has all power more than all God put together, as a matter of fact in Psalm 62 v 11 he said God has spoken once, twice have I heard this that power belong to God. How powerful is our God? He is so powerful that according to Matthew 3 v 9 he said he is so powerful; he can even produce children out of stones.

When we talk about greatness, the bible also try to give us a hint concerning wealth; he talks about the woman of Shunem, In 2 king4 v 8-17 he talks about the great woman of Shunem, this great woman was wealthy. How wealthy is our God? Gen. 14 v 19 calls him the possessor of heaven and the earth, everything you can see in heaven or on earth they all belong to him, he so great that he said silver is mine, gold is mine, bible tells us that the street in his city are paved with Gold. He is so great that according to Philippians 4 v 19 he said my God shall supply all your need according to your riches in glory.

The first time I travel by air, from here to sierra Leon, it was during the day time, and I was seating by the window of the plane, and I was looking at the face of the window, and ai was seeing the town and villages in addition to oceans and God began to speak to me, he said Son looked down, in all these villages, in all these town, there are not only people, there are domestic animals, they are birds of all kind, look into the ocean, there are all kinds fish and all other creatures, he said do you know that I feed them all. He said never again must you doubt that I will provide for you.
And I want to assure somebody here today, no matter how difficult your financial situation, My God will take care of you.

When we talk about greatness, we are also talking about influence. When talking about the woman of Shunem, the Almighty God record for us that when the Prophet was asking this woman, what do you want me to do for you? You want me to give you a recommendation to the king, or the commander of chief of the armed forces, the woman said I don’t need assistance in that direction. The great woman is a woman of influence. How great is our God? According to Philippians 2 v 9-11
Thank you father, the Lord said there is someone here tonight; he said all the tubes that are blocked have been reopen.

Thank you Father, the Lord said there is someone here tonight; he said your business will soon move from walking to leaping.

He Lord said there is someone here tonight; he said from now on, I will see to it that you get adequate rewards for your labors.

Now you see what happen when you praise God, when you praise God he speaks.
The Lord said there is someone here tonight, he asks me to tell you, he ask me to tell you welcome to a new phase of joy.

The Lord said there is someone tonight; he said your new year begins today.
The Lord said there is someone here tonight, he said for a long time to come; your song will be how grate is my God.

The Lord says there is someone here tonight; he said your raining season will be far, far, longer than your dry season.

The Lord said there is someone here tonight; he said I will shorten your night so that your sun can rise sooner.

I was saying in Philippians 2 v 9 – 11 it shows that our God have influence in heaven, influence on earth, influence under the earth. He has influence over the wind; he has influence over the sea. The Bible says in Mark 4 v 41 he said what manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him. He has influence over fire. He can turn the fiery furnace to an air condition room.

How great is our God, he can solve any problem, just by speaking a word, he will speak a word to you tonight and your life will never be the same again.

When we talk about greatness, we talk about achievement, what are the things he had already done. When we say somebody is great scholars; we are talking about how many papers he had already writing. When we talk about a great warrior, we are talking about how many battles he has fought and won. What make someone great could be linked to his achievements.

In Exodus 14 v 21 – 28 He opened the red sea, he made a way where there is no one, he drown the enemy of his nation in just one night. He said to them, the enemy you see tonight you will never see them again. He’s done it before, he will do it again, in Exodus 17 v 1- 6 he brought water out of the rock; He produce something out of nothing. He brought satisfaction in an angle you cannot expect, he has done it before, he will do it again. He raised the dead, after he’s been in the grave for four days. He reversed the irreversible, he made the impossible, possible, he silence mockers, he showed that when he speaks even the dead can hear him and receives new life. How great is our God, he has done it before and he is going to do it again tonight.

He says he wants to answer prayer tonight, so am going to get out of is way very soon, but before we go to pray, his love is great, bible says in John 15 v 13 he said greater love have no man than this, that a man laid down his life for his friends. His mercy is great; the bible says as high as heaven is above the earth so is his mercy to those who fear him, his faithfulness is great, he said even if you don’t believe hi, he remain faithful because he cannot deny himself, let me just add this one before I get out of the way; his anger is also great. Hebrew 12 v 21 says our God is a consuming fire, so when he stretches forth his arm of love and you disregard it, when he says he wants to be merciful and you tell him to mind himself, when he says I want to help you and you say I don’t need your help.

The moment he turned his back, there is very little you can do again.

How great is our God? When he breathes, a way can be opened in the red sea, when he touches the mountain; mountains begin to melt. If he should touch your head in anger, there will be nothing that will be left. That is why I want to appeal to those of you that are here tonight, that have not given your life to Christ, I don’t want you to delay those of us who want to pray because he says ‘I want to answer prayer tonight’.

If you are in this auditorium now and you have not given your life to Jesus Christ, am going to give you only two minute to get to the front here, after two minutes and you are not already standing before me. we will go ahead, if you don’t believe that God is great, he has various ways of showing his greatness; he can show it in a positive way, he can show it in a negative way, but if you come to him, His love is available now, his mercy is available now, his pardon is available now.

Even thought he is the consuming fire, if you come to him now, he will overlook whatever you have done, he will save your soul and give you a brand new beginning, so if you want to give your life to him come now…

Those of you in the front, call on this great God, ask him to be merciful unto you, save your soul, ask him to forgive all your sin, promise him that from now on you will serve him, ask him to be your savior and your Lord, talk to him now. The rest of us, lets stretch your arm towards these people and pray for them, that the great savior will include them in his salvation now, let’s pray for them…In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Savior I want to thank you for your word, I want to thank you for your promise that you want to answer prayer tonight, thank you for these people who have already come forward, everyone of them please receive in Jesus name, forgive in Jesus name, wipe away all their sins with your blood in Jesus name, save their souls tonight in Jesus name, please write their names in the book of life in Jesus name, from now on in every facet of their lives, show your greatness in Jesus name, and the grace to serve you till the end release to them in Jesus name.

Thank you Almighty God in Jesus mighty name we have prayed. (Amen)

Prayer point,
1. Let’s praise him one more time for his greatness.
2. Father, since you can hear all, please hears me tonight.
3. Show your greatness in my life tonight.
4. Then add your own prayer point to the one I have given you.

…In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. Because God can hear all, he will hear you tonight, because he can do all things, he will do yours tonight, every impossibility in your life will become possible tonight; he will reverse the irreversible for you tonight. Because he can meet all needs;
he will meet all your needs tonight in Jesus name. He will meet your physical needs, he will meet material needs, he will meet your marital needs, he will meet your spiritual needs.

Because he is stronger than the strongest, he will deal with all your enemies tonight in Jesus name.

All those who say you will not reach your goal; he will put them to shame in Jesus name. Because he is an unchangeable Lord, what he has done for others, he will do for you in Jesus name. Your testimonies will be mighty in Jesus name. In every facet of your life, he will show his greatness tonight in Jesus name. This will be the beginning of your joy, all your requests will become testimonies, it is well with you, so shall it be in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Let somebody shout halleluiah!

Suffering, Pain and Evil: Why Does God Allow them? It is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27).

God is still there despite any tragedy you may be experiencing. But why does God allow suffering?

The Bible says that Job suddenly lost all of his wealth and his children. The devil said to God, “If You take all those possessions away from him, he’ll curse You and turn from You.” But God replied, “You can do anything to him, except you can’t kill him, and then we’ll see” (Cf. Job 1:11-12).

Job never asked why those things were happening to him. The closest he ever came was when he said, “Show me why You contend with me” (Job 10:2). Job was sharing his agony of spirit with the very God he could not understand.

Suffering carries a message of mystery. The Bible says, “Great is the mystery of godliness” (1 Timothy 3:16).

For humans, there is a mystery as to why God created the earth. There is a mystery as to why He put people on this earth. But God has revealed answers through the Bible and through the Person of His Son, Jesus Christ. In the Bible you will find the answers to the questions and the problems of your life.

But man rebelled against God. Man said, “I don’t need You, God. I can build my world without You.” God said, “If you take that position, you will suffer and die.” Man took that position, and he began to suffer, and he has been dying ever since. Physical death is just the death of the body, but the spirit lives on. If your spirit is separated from God for eternity, it will be lost forever.

The Bible teaches that Satan is the author of sin. Sin is the reason that we have afflictions, including death. All of our problems and our suffering, including death itself, are a result of man’s rebellion against God. But God has provided a rescue in the Person of His Son, Jesus Christ. That’s why Christ died on the cross. That’s why He rose from the dead.

MESSAGES THAT MOVE US TO ACTION

In suffering there is also a message of compassion. Jesus said, “for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me” (Matthew 25:35-36).

In suffering there is a message of unity. Jesus prayed “that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You” (John 17:21). And that’s the way we ought to be as Christians, one in Christ. If you have been born into the family of God, you are a child of God. You are brothers and sisters.

Suffering holds a message of comfort. In Second Corinthians we read:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

Because tragedy happened to you, it gives you a greater sense of oneness with others who experience tragedy. You can feel for them in that suffering situation. Because we have been comforted through the Word of God, we in turn may be able to comfort others.

What should be our attitude toward suffering?

First, it should be one of worship. We ought to say, “O God, I believe You are the great and mighty God. I don’t understand all the things that are happening in my life, but, O God, I trust in You.”

Second, we should ask God to teach us all He would have us learn about Him, about ourselves, about others and how we can minister to those who are suffering.

Third, our attitude in suffering should glorify God. People are going to watch us as Christians. They will ask, “How is it that Christ is so in control of his or her life that he or she was able to help others?”

Jesus suffered and died for us on the cross, but God raised Him from the dead. Jesus Christ now sits at the right hand of God the Father, and He sees our suffering. He sees our life every day and knows exactly where we stand.

The Bible teaches that we are to be patient in suffering. That’s the hardest thing of all, to be patient, to have songs in the night. Ask God to help you have a trusting, patient attitude, and flee from bitterness.

In suffering there is also, I believe, a message of warning. Are you prepared to meet God? What do you have to do to be ready? God took the initiative in giving His Son, Jesus Christ. God says, “I love you. I want to forgive you. I want you to go to heaven.” But you must respond to Him. Find hope, peace, and security today.

Sermon By Pastor Adeyemi Of DayStar Christian CentreBecoming A Leader”. Luke 4:16-19
Our character is the foundation for your leadership. As you develop character, integrity, honesty, sincerity, humility and kindness, you will be able to break free from selfishness and self-centredness. You begin to develop greater capacity for generosity. As a believer in God, love is the foundation for character. When you show love, you become sensitive to other people’s needs and thus increase your sphere of influence.
Below are some of the basic emotional needs of every human being:
1) The need to be loved: This is the most important part of everyone’s life. (John 3: 16) Everyone needs to experience the feeling that comes from knowing that someone really cares for them. We respond positively to anyone who shows they care for us. John 13:1 says of Jesus that “…He loved them to the end”. John 13: 34 says “…love one another; as I have loved you”. To succeed in leadership, you need to genuinely care for people. The Gospels let us know that Jesus cared for all categories of people. The family is the primary place where God provided for people to give and receive love. Someone said “God gives you a family to prepare you for an enemy”. Show love to those in your family because if you fail to love at home, it is likely you will fail to love outsiders. In the Bible, we learn about Joseph who did not become a bitter person because of the bad experiences he had suffered at home. Instead, he developed his character and ultimately fulfilled destiny.
2) Acceptance: Each individual needs to be accepted for who they are. Do not impose conditions on people before you accept or love them. Christ’s approach to leadership shows He accepted people as they were. His interaction with the Samaritan woman by the well (John 4) and the woman caught in the act of adultery are good examples. In His day, different categories of people were marginalised and mistreated. He also showed that children were important when He stopped His sermon and focused on them. If you have prejudices, then there is a failure mechanism in your leadership capacity.

I know that my little contribution may not cause the whole world to change but my goal is to impact at least one person at a time

“I know that my little contribution may not cause the whole world to change but my goal is to impact at least one person at a time.”

The above quote is from last week Sunday Service; well it didn’t take long before I had the opportunity.
The same day I was at the bar beach to relax and this young boy named Ismaila approached me and begged for money.

Giving him money wasn’t the problem but I knew the money will be used to smoke, so I ignored him but he refused to leave. I told him I wasn’t going to give him money, he then said I should pray for him when he saw I had a Bible with me.

At that point I decided to share with him the Word of God. He is a fourteen year old boy from Igbo-ora in Ibadan. He is in Lagos with his brother who is a bus conductor, his father had died and his mother stays in Igbo-ora.

After sharing with him I watched as he left. He went somewhere sat down, shaking his head consistently. He was pounding over what I shared with him.

I wish I could do more than share with him the Word Of God. They are many all around us young children that will one day become hardened criminals.

He said his friends call him ‘fori fogo’ which means someone that uses his head to break bottles. He said he likes fighting that anywhere there is a fight they usually call his like to such places to scatter everything.

I haven’t recovered from the experience with him.

About 10 minutes drive away is a place that is hosting a show that people will pay 1million Naira to watch people make them laugh and dance. No wonder we build high fences with wires and put fierce looking men as security men.

It is none of my business we say; well it will one day become our business. When they start throwing bombs, when they become armed robbers and assassins.

Like someone said “one day the poor will have nothing else to eat but the rich

Can we make a decision after reading this to reach out to these street urchins in your neighbourhood? Can we start somewhere? Whatever it is you can do.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Psalm 119. Trusting The Law Of The LORD

VAU

41 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word. 42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.

43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. 44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.

45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts. 46 I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed. 47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved. 48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The Spirit Of Wisdom

Detail - Glory of the New Born Christ in prese...

The Spirit of Wisdom

“The Spirit Of The LORD Shall Rest Upon Him, The Spirit Of Wisdom…” Isaiah 11:2 NKJV

During His earthly ministry Jesus needed “The Spirit Of Wisdom” when it came to making decisions and dealing with the enemy. As believers, that same Spirit lives in us. James 3:15 NKJV says there are three kinds of Wisdom:

  • Earthly Wisdom, which isn’t always dependable because “Sometimes what seems right is really a road to death” (Proverbs 16:25 CEV).
  • Sensual Wisdom, which is based on emotions that can lead to confusion, hurt, and jealousy.

  • Demonic Wisdom, which is selfish, lustful, and ungodly.

  • Godly Wisdom, which “…(comes) from above is……pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and…….hypocrisy” (James 3:17 NKJV). The Bible says, “(When) you need wisdom, ask….God, and He will give it to you…” (James 1:5 NLT). And when you’re praying, ask yourself these questions:
  • Are my motives pure or will I be ashamed of them later on?
  • Will my decision result in mercy and compassion or strife and stress?
  • Have I considered all the people who’ll be affected by the outcome?
  • Am I willing to submit to what God wants or am I determined to plough on regardless?
  • Will the end result cause me to have a harsh attitude or will it produce an environment where love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control can grow?  (Galatians 5:22-23)
  • Is it fair and impartial or does it favour a particular person or group?
  • Can I in good conscience pursue this particular course of action or does it involve some level of deceit and selfishness?

Fatherly Advice To The UNSTOPPABLE YOUTH By Pastor E A Adeboye General Overseer RCCG

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

There is a difference between enthusiasm and unruliness. As unstoppable youths we need to be enthusiastic but not unruly.

Out of all the instruments mentioned in the Bible for praising the whistle wasn’t mentioned! The whistle isn’t allowed in church, leave it for the football field!

MARRIAGE advice for the Ladies

It is better to remain single than to marry than to marry the wrong person!

Marrying the wrong person is like living in hell on earth and divorce isn’t an option!

Don’t ever think you can marry somebody and change the fellow, if the person doesn’t change before you get married it is a settled case!

If you marry just because a guy is rich, tall and handsome but he not a true child of God, you are heading for trouble! Goliath was Tall, king Saul was lanky but he lost his crown. Don’t marry a fool.

If a guy is following you to church just to get you, you will know!  Some guys are in church just to deceive you but the Bible says by their fruits you’ll know them. Bible didn’t say by their words you’ll know them , some guys have sweet mouth! Don’t marry a sweet talking demon, watch their fruits!

If you marry someone who doesn’t believe in holiness, you are the one who dug your own grave yourself because you’ll only be wife NO 1, many others are likely follow!

Romans 8:31 The reason RCCG weds with the Bible instead of a ring is because the Bible can never change, the word of God stands forever but a ring can be removed at anytime!

Those who will reach the top must be peculiar! There is always room at the top but only few will get there.

Don’t marry a man who has no job! Before God gave Adam a wife, He gave him a job! If he says he is a contractor, ask him for evidence of his previous contracts because you might just be the contract he is on about!

MARRIAGE advice for the GENTs

Don’t marry a Delilah! Don’t marry for beauty. Proverbs 31:30 says beauty is vain.

Don’t ever marry outside the church and you have no reason to marry outside RCCG. The reason is that If you are both from the same church even when trouble comes it is easier for the pastors to handle it!

Don’t marry a girl simply because she can sing! In the choir there are some people that can sing but they are falling angels! Marry a prayer warrior! If a girl cannot pray for 1 hour, don’t marry her.

Don’t marry a girl who is lazy! Don’t marry a girl who cannot cook, she needs to know how to do chores and cook because you cannot afford to be eating out all the time.

Don’t marry a girl who is worldly! If you do, you have carried what you’ll worship for the rest of your life!

Advice on MUSIC.

Music is not music unless it is organised. It must have rhyme, rhythm and repetition.

While the right kind of music keeps the devil away, the wrong music can invite demons.

The number one reason why God chose David to be king was because he was a musician singing the right songs!

It is possible to have wonderful music, music that will refresh you and bring God down without making noise.  When the Bible talks about making a joyful noise to the Lord, it was talking about shouts of Hallelujah.

In your gatherings, check the lyrics, rhyme and rhythms of your songs you use in worshipping God. As much as youths might not want to sing hymns all day, make sure the songs you sing are really glorifying God not just noise.

Advice on EVANGELISM

As youths, take evangelism seriously! Use your youthful strength for God and be proud to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ecclesiastes 12:1

It takes only a few people to cause a riot the universities, why can’t a few unstoppable youths get up and start a riot to the kingdom of darkness?

RCCG is in many nations all over the world today because your parents worked hard in their youths. When the founder, Pa Akindayomi, died, RCCG was only in Nigeria and I was only 38 when the church was handed over to me. Other youths and I took evangelism seriously! We worked hard to bring the church to where it is now, today RCCG is in many nations of the world! IT IS YOUR TURN to take the church forward.

Joshua 1:1-9, Deuteronomy 34:9 We are to build on the foundation that has been laid for us by our fathers.

The elders are the foundation, the youths are the flowers! It’s a dangerous thing to be a flower, people pluck flowers but hardly do people touch the roots! If you stay connected to your roots, you’ll not dry up.

The one who is UNSTOPPABLE is the one who wouldn’t allow sin to come in because our God is a Holy God!

If you will worship God with good music not just noise , if you’ll witness without compromising, if you will be different and ready to stand out for Christ, if you are willing to pray with ceasing then you’ll be UNSTOPPABLE.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

LET’s TALK ABOUT SEX, A Sermon By Pastor Matthew Ashimolwo during RCCG Youth Convention 2012

150

LET’s TALK ABOUT SEX

Proverbs 4:23, Proverbs 6: 23-27

Be careful what you take in, the music and movies you watch could desensitizes you to the truth. It is the truth you know that will set you free.

Colossians 3:5-6

You are to honour God with your body, sex is not allowed outside marriage.
Even though Nike may say ‘Just do it!” You’re not to with SEX!

The simple thought of sex crossing your mind is not a sin but the desire for sex is the sin!

Sex goes beyond the physical, it’s spiritual and emotional!

In the Bible, when a man sleeps with his wife the Bible says “He knew his wife” but when a young man sleeps with an unmarried woman the Bible says “He laid with her”

Don’t let anybody deceive you, you can know them by their words. e.g “You don’t need to tell anybody what we are about to do!”

If a guy comes to you with a condom, he is a con(artist) and you are dumb!

Virginity is something you give away and not what is taken from you by force! If you were violated and tampered with, only your virginity is broken, you destiny isn’t, so don’t mess up yourself! You are still so precious in God’s sight. God values you, He values your body so honour Him with it!

85% of those who live together before getting married end up divorced. 50% of marriages in UK and 80% of black marriages in US end up in divorce!

If you sell yourself cheap, you end up being treated anyhow. A man who cannot treat you like a lady doesn’t deserve you and any woman who cannot treat you like a prince doesn’t deserve you!

Don’t start what you can’t handle! The skin is only a few centimetres deep and beneath that skin, there are 18million nerves passing information round. Whenever someone touches you sexually, your nerves send information that are stored somewhere in your brain. That’s why when you see the person later you remember the touch! You have imprints of people on your life through sexual relationships.

Don’t let anyone touch you in a way that is not holy. From hugs to kissing and then the deed happens unplanned!

Once you mess up your sexual life, it messes up your spiritual life! Get it right!

Exodus 26, 27 gives a summary of the Tabernacle. It was divided into the outer court, the Holy place, Holy of Holies. As a human being, your body is the outer court, your soul the holy place and your spirit the holy of holies!

The outer court gave access to many levities and they brought their sacrifices there. Your body is your outer court many people will have access to you, you’ll meet many boys/girls but be careful, many will come and go. Proverbs 4:23

Only the priests were allowed into the holy place. The holy in your body is your soul. Your emotions are conceived there. Before you let anyone touch your soul, be very careful! The reason many broken relationship ends up a soul tie is because they let someone else make an impact on their soul and no matter how much they try to forget the person it is difficult.

Guard your soul, don’t let just any nice person get in. The holy place had a lamp stand in it, anyone who must get into your holy place must be a lamp. Ladies, any man that wants to court/date/marry you must have more light than you already have! He needs to be the lamp! Don’t settle for less!

Only the High priest was allowed to enter into the holy of holies (Hebrews 9:7)! He had to break through the veil to get in. There is only man allowed to get into you and that is your husband! When a man sleeps with a virgin, it’s more than just sex! It’s spiritual, it’s a blood covenant!

Guys note, everywhere you go as a man and have sexual releases, your testicles will testify against you! The reason God gave you two testicles is because the Bible says out of 2 or more witnesses, a statement is established (Deuteronomy 17:6).

There is a point when sexual activities go beyond the physical, it becomes a demonic activity! It is spiritual!

Easy sex does not make more romance, neither does it give joy and happiness!

When you have sex while waiting to be married, you crush the foundation of your marriage

Don’t let anyone blackmail you to stay in a relationship! After giving your life to Christ break away from every ungodly relationship!

Titus 2:11-12

To get out:

It requires the decision to maintain your integrity!

It requires a bold step to confront ungodly relationship you are in!

Break away and make a vow to be pure!

Keep yourself and honour God with your life!

No sex is safe sex!

Desire change, deny yourself!

We can absolutely trust God and His Word – The Bible

John 17:17 “Dedicate them to Yourself by means of the truth; Your Word is truth”

Most of us know at least one person we consider very honest. When we ask that person for his opinion, he tells us what he really thinks. If we ask him to take care of something important for us, he will be open about whether or not he can do it.

That is even more true of Our Holy God. We can trust Him and His Word – completely and implicitly. It would violate God’s truthfulness, holiness, omniscience and love if His Word could not be trusted.

During the first centuries of the Church, false teachers tried to argue that the Bible was not completely truthful. Paul quickly defended the Bible. He proclaimed that all Scripture is God’s truth! (See: 2 Timothy 3:16). That assurance is what gave Paul such incredible confidence as he travelled about the Roman Empire proclaiming the Good News of Jesus’ death and resurrection. His life of service through incredible pressures and persecutions is proof that God’s Truth has power to sustain us.

We can absolutely trust God and His Word.

Philippians 2 (Christ’s Humility and Greatness)

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Philippians 2 (Christ’s Humility And Greatness)

Holy Bible. New Living Translation

1Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate?
2Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.

3Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.
4Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

5You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

6Though he was God,
he did not think of equality with God
as something to cling to.

7Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,

8  he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

9Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honour
and gave him the name above all other names,

10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

12Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear.
13For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

14Do everything without complaining and arguing,
15so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people.
16Hold firmly to the word of life; then, on the day of Christ’s return, I will be proud that I did not run the race in vain and that my work was not useless.
17But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God, just like your faithful service is an offering to God. And I want all of you to share that joy.
18Yes, you should rejoice, and I will share your joy.

19If the Lord Jesus is willing, I hope to send Timothy to you soon for a visit. Then he can cheer me up by telling me how you are getting along.
20I have no one else like Timothy, who genuinely cares about your welfare.
21All the others care only for themselves and not for what matters to Jesus Christ.
22But you know how Timothy has proved himself. Like a son with his father, he has served with me in preaching the Good News.
23I hope to send him to you just as soon as I find out what is going to happen to me here.
24And I have confidence from the Lord that I myself will come to see you soon.

25Meanwhile, I thought I should send Epaphroditus back to you. He is a true brother, co-worker, and fellow soldier. And he was your messenger to help me in my need.
26I am sending him because he has been longing to see you, and he was very distressed that you heard he was ill.
27And he certainly was ill; in fact, he almost died. But God had mercy on him—and also on me, so that I would not have one sorrow after another.

28So I am all the more anxious to send him back to you, for I know you will be glad to see him, and then I will not be so worried about you.
29Welcome him with Christian love and with great joy, and give him the honour that people like him deserve.
30For he risked his life for the work of Christ, and he was at the point of death while doing for me what you couldn’t do from far away.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Self-examination (Be Like Your Heavenly Father)

English: 4 days of Evangelism Training in Sout...

Self-examination (Be Like Your Heavenly Father)

We need to set examples for others to follow. In the Bible, all leadership in the kingdom of God is portrayed by example. When Jesus trained His disciples, He not only taught lessons but actually displayed the will of God in His actions, words and relationships. In order to lead in this manner, Jesus had to personally examine His heart and keep His mind, spirit and attitude in check. If you really desire harmony in your home, always start with yourself by first examining your heart, thereby, like Jesus, keeping your mind, spirit, and attitude in check. Remember, Jesus taught: “He that is without sin… let him first cast a stone…” (John 8:7). Self-examination is the start of all harmony. If we start with ourselves, we will be less likely to see the faults of others.
