Walking By Revelation By Pastor Kenny Folarin. DayStar Christian Centre

1 Corinthians 2: 9-10

God never intended that Man should run his affairs with human ability or sense knowledge. As Christians, we can leverage on our access to the supernatural realm to get tangible, visible results in our lives. Sense knowledge is limited because it is based on the five senses while revelation knowledge comes from God. When you are influenced by the spirit world, it impacts the things you see and hear and determines the kind of results you get (Isaiah 30:20).  The difference between sense knowledge and revelation knowledge is demonstrated in the story narrated in 2 Kings 6: 13-17. The king of Syria had sent out a great army to capture Elisha, the prophet. The army arrived at night and surrounded the city. When Elisha’s servant saw them, he was afraid. However, Elisha was unmoved and assured the young man. He also prayed “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man and he saw horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. The eyes that Elisha prayed should be opened were not the physical eyes but rather the young man’s spiritual eyes. These were two people in the same situation but they saw differently – one saw the problem; the other saw the solution. What are you seeing?  What you see with your spiritual eyes is what you will see with your physical eyes. Unfortunately, many Christians run their lives based on the natural senses and what can be seen physically. You have got to see and hear differently (Genesis 13: 14-16; 15 vs. 5). What you see determines what you seize.

The key to walking in revelation is the person of the Holy Spirit. He is the One who bridges the gap between the natural and the supernatural (1 Corinthians 2 vs. 10).  He is the One who helps us to get inspiration (Ephesians 1 vs. 16-18). If the Holy Spirit does not show us the hidden things, then we do not have access to them. God wants us to run every aspect of our lives on revelation knowledge. In Genesis 26, there was a famine in the land and Isaac wanted to go to Egypt because of the famine but he was instructed by God to stay in the land and sow during the famine and he reaped a hundredfold. He became extremely prosperous because he obeyed God.

To have access to revelation knowledge, you need to pray. Prayer is an opportunity for you to relate with God and gain access to the supernatural world (Jeremiah 33:3). Spend time praying in the Holy Ghost to build up your faith. Also, meditate (think deeply) on God’s word (Joshua 1: 8; Psalm 39:3). Get inspired by God’s prophet – the servant of God. Do not take lightly the words which proceed from those God has put in authority over you in church. Read materials written or produced by them; listen to their messages, follow their advice (Acts 27: 9-24).

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Anointing For Expansion

Anointing For Expansion

“Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left;” (Isaiah 54:2-3).

As a child of God, you have in you the seed of greatness; this is your birthright as Abraham’s seed. If you look through the scriptures and study the lives of the physical descendants of Abraham, you’ll find that they always made progress; no matter how they started, they ended up expanding to the point that they became the dominant force wherever they found themselves.

For example, the Bible says that Isaac “waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him” (Genesis 26:13-14). If it was so for Abraham’s physical descendants, your story should be no different for you’re the true seed of Abraham (Galatians 3:29)! Thus the natural progression of your life should be that of progress, increase and expansion in everything you’re involved in.

When you received the Holy Spirit, He brought the anointing into your life, and that anointing is supposed to do much more than make you speak in tongues and prophesy. It’ll bring progress into your life. It’ll cause everything you do to grow and expand. That anointing is the “mimshach” anointing, which in Hebrew means “expansion” or “to spread.” This anointing causes everything you do to multiply and expand beyond your immediate sphere of contact.

In this month of Progress more than ever, God wants you to recognize that anointing and let it function in you. You don’t need to wait for someone to sponsor your dream; this is your time to expand! The anointing and grace for progress and expansion is upon your life, therefore it’s time for your business to grow and expand beyond what your mind can imagine. It’s time for that little kiosk to become a supermarket! It’s time for that supermarket to become a shopping mall!

Start making plans for the greater and higher level you want to function in, for this is your season for progress. Every day, when you wake up, say “This is my set time for growth, increase and expansion because the “mimshach” anointing is working in me! Hallelujah!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Keep Growing In The LORD

Keep Growing In The LORD

2 Corinthians 8:11

“Now you should finish what you started. Let the eagerness you showed in the beginning be matched now by your giving. Give in proportion to what you have.”

NKJV

Did you know that giving can be exciting? It’s like a competition to out give God. We give and God provides. We sow into our local church and God sows into our lives. His blessings may not always be financial, but they are always greater than what we expect. This shouldn’t surprise us as our God is a blessing God. He’s calling us to grow deeper with Him through giving of ourselves. Each day, it’s as if God is saying, “Keep growing.” Hearing that call, many have begun stepping out to serve others, share the Gospel, give to their church or spend more time in the Bible.

God wants to see you grow in joy, peace, patience and much more. He is opening the windows of heaven to bless those who are seeking Him. Are you ready to receive those blessings? Take action. Don’t just take notes or talk about it, step out and get blessed. Be obedient to what God has called us to do and watch your life change. You may have been asking God to help you in life with your relationships or finances, and today He is answering that prayer. He’s saying “Keep growing”. Serve, give, love and get ready for God to pour out His blessings in a major way.

Life Lesson: The Bible teaches that the more you give the more you receive.

Dear God,

I am ready to grow deeper in my relationship with You. I desire to take action in my life to be a blessing to others. Help me to live a generous life of love and service. Give me opportunities to walk this out each day this week. Strengthen me to keep growing! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

God Disciplines You Lovingly

“My child, don’t ignore it when the Lord disciplines you, and don’t be discouraged when He corrects you. For the Lord corrects those He loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.”

(Proverbs 3:11-12)

Just like earthly children, God’s children must experience discipline. Discipline is necessary to mature and grow in character. God lovingly disciplines us so we will become more mature in our walk with Him.

God’s discipline is for our good. Parents who care about their children discipline them. Proverbs 13:24 states, “If you refuse to discipline your children, it proves you don’t love them; if you love your children, you will be prompt to discipline them.”

I fell in love with our two sons the first time I saw them. I love them even more today as adults. When they were young, I spanked them when they were disobedient. I am sure that I shed more tears while I was spanking them than they did. Each time I would explain that I disciplined them because I loved them.

Character is vitally important to God. So He tenderly pulls the weeds, cuts off the dead flowers, and prunes the branches in the garden of our blossoming character. Yes, the process can be painful, but the result will be a character that is wise, mature, content, and pleasing to God. This loving, painstaking process demonstrates the difference between God’s discipline and Satan‘s accusations. Satan accuses us so we will give up, but God corrects us so we will grow up.

Our Father is the Ruler of the universe! How thankful we should be for the wonderful privilege of being His children. As His offspring, we can enjoy His love, care, and commitment as we pursue intimacy with Him by faith.

Your View of God Really Matters…

Think of times when God has disciplined you. Consider how you grew spiritually through the process. Thank the Lord for His discipline.

Romans 8:15-17; Hebrews 12:10-11

Because God is love,

He is unconditionally committed to my well-being.

Success and Prosperity! How To Do Excellent Things By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. Christ Embassy International

Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm (Daniel 6:3).

God has already put in you an excellent spirit. Daniel was typified for us in scripture as one who dealt excellently in his affairs because “an excellent spirit was in him”. Anointed men and women in the Old Testament had the Holy Spirit “come upon them”, but today, He lives in you! He’s the Spirit of excellence; hence it’s His ministry to cause you to excel in everything you do. When you recognize this truth, walking in excellence will become a natural occurrence for you; you’ll excel in every endeavour. To “excel” means “to distinguish oneself”; “to stand out and surpass laid down standards”; “to do something to a greater degree than the normal or required standards.” Invariably, in your job, at school, in business or ministry, you ought to stand out from the crowd! Your results should be impeccable, outstanding and inspiring. You don’t have to pray to God to make you excel, for excellence is in you; all you need do is recognize it and express it. Choose to excel; make the conscious effort to improve your mind by studying the right materials. Become studious; don’t loaf or laze around, for laziness isn’t a quality of an excellent spirit- go the extra mile! Reject mediocrity and mundanity from your life. This is your set time to excel, and it doesn’t require your struggling; it’s the life you’ve been called to live. So keep excelling in the Name of Jesus!

THE HOLY SPIRIT! EMPOWERED TO PRODUCE SUPERNATURAL RESULTS By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. Christ Embassy International

He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?… (Acts 19:2).

Some Christians have received the Holy Spirit but are not acquainted with His power and ministry in their lives. They don’t know the awesomeness of this wonderful third Person of the God-head, hence they live ordinary lives. May I remind you that this Holy Spirit you have received is the same Spirit that worked with David when as a young boy he came face-to-face with a lion, and a bear, and on those occasions slew both beasts with his bare hands (1 Samuel 17:34-35)! It was that same Spirit that came upon him when as a stripling he felled the great Goliath of Gath, the champion of the Philistine. Let me also remind you that the Holy Spirit you’ve received is the same Spirit that came on Samson and caused him to overcome one thousand trained men of war with the jawbone of an ass (Judges 15:15). Again, it’s the same Holy Spirit that lives in you today that worked with Moses and caused him to split the Red Sea wide open (Exodus 14:16). What about Joshua, Moses’ successor? It was the same Holy Spirit that worked in his life, causing him to command the sun and the moon to stand still for a whole day. That same Spirit worked with Elijah, Elisha, Solomon and ultimately the Lord Jesus Himself. The mighty works recorded for us in the scriptures wrought by the Holy Spirit through the prophets of old were not mere stories or fairy-tales. They are there to let you know what the Spirit of God could do in your life as well if you’d yield to him. The prophets of old didn’t even have the fullness of the Spirit, for they weren’t born again. This should let you know how much your life ought to be even more supernatural as a result of having the Holy Spirit live in you! If you’re born again and have received the Holy Spirit, you have no business living an ordinary life. Make up your mind to live by the Spirit’s power every day.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray!

BORN INTO GOD’S GREATNESS By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. Christ Embassy International

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing (Genesis 12:2).

From the scripture above, we notice that it was God who spoke to Abraham and said, “I will make you great”; it wasn’t Abraham who cried out, “O Lord, make me great!” It was God’s choice to make him great, and from that point on, the man did great things. He defeated five kings and their armies with three hundred servants trained in his house (Genesis 14). His wealth and influence outweighed those of the nations where he dwelt. He was a force to be reckoned with by kings of nations around him because of how great he was. The Bible says, “…if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29). If you’re born again, you’re the seed of Abraham; the seed of greatness is in your spirit. Therefore, you ought to do great things. Great people do great things. When the seed of greatness is in a man, he’ll undoubtedly do great things that will be spoken of for generations after Him. Never think small or see yourself as small. You’re the offspring of the great God of glory; His seed of greatness is in you. It’s your set time to do great things. Every day, tell yourself, “I’m doing great things, for the Spirit of God lives in me! I refuse to think small or do small things. I’m born for greatness!” Remember, you were born into greatness! Your family history is replete with stories and feats of greatness. I’m not talking about your earthly family, but the family of God to which you belong. This is your time to do great things in the Kingdom of God. It’s your set time to do exploits in your job, business, academics and other areas of your life.

Caution! Holy Spirit falls only on every sensitive and

seeking heart

Ephesians 4:31,32Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and

clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all

malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving

one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you”

We need to become more sensitive when it comes to criticizing our

the anointing of the Holy Spirit from many lives and churches.

The power of the Holy Spirit falls only on every sensitive and

Exodus 5. Let my people go

Exodus 5. Let my people go

1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. 2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.

3 And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days’ journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword. 4 And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens. 5 And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens. 6 And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying, 7 Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves. 8 And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God. 9 Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.

10 And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw. 11 Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished. 12 So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw. 13 And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw. 14 And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh’s taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?

15 Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants? 16 There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people. 17 But he said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD. 18 Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks. 19 And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task. 20 And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh: 21 And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us. 22 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me? 23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Exodus 4. God gives Moses miraculous power

1 And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee. 2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. 3 And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. 4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand: 5 That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee. 6 And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow. 7 And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh. 8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign. 9 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.

10 And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. 11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? 12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say. 13 And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send. 14 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart. 15 And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do. 16 And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God. 17 And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.

18 And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace. 19 And the LORD said unto Moses in Midian, Go, return into Egypt: for all the men are dead which sought thy life. 20 And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of God in his hand. 21 And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go. 22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: 23 And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.

24 And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him. 25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me. 26 So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision. 27 And the LORD said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him. 28 And Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him. 29 And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel: 30 And Aaron spake all the words which the LORD had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people. 31 And the people believed: and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Exodus 2. The birth of Moses

Exodus 2. The birth of Moses

1 And there went a man of the house of Levi, and took to wife a daughter of Levi. 2 And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. 3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river’s brink. 4 And his sister stood afar off, to wit what would be done to him.

5 And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the river’s side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it. 6 And when she had opened it, she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews’ children. 7 Then said his sister to Pharaoh’s daughter, Shall I go and call to thee a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for thee? 8 And Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, Go. And the maid went and called the child’s mother. 9 And Pharaoh’s daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the woman took the child, and nursed it. 10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh’s daughter, and he became her son. And she called his name Moses: and she said, Because I drew him out of the water.

11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren. 12 And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand. 13 And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow? 14 And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known. 15 Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.

16 Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: and they came and drew water, and filled the troughs to water their father’s flock. 17 And the shepherds came and drove them away: but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock. 18 And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day? 19 And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock. 20 And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread. 21 And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter. 22 And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.

23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. 24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. 25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

How has our nation become so dry in its devotion to God? The answer is simple – we have gone to other things for refreshment. We have sought ways of encouraging ourselves without God. We have turned and walked in the opposite direction, thinking that we will try something new and it will satisfy our needs. We fill the emptiness of our lives with people instead of God, and immediately they become like gods to us. Then, before we know it, they have done something to disappoint us, and we immediately feel betrayed and defeated.

In a nation that has the greatest material advantages, we want more and expect to get it. We’re no longer satisfied with simple things – we have to have the latest flat-screen television. We have the newest computer that plays more songs and that does more that we will ever use, and still we cry out for more. We have flashier cars, larger homes, walk-in closets with shelves filled with clothing that we cannot even remember buying. We repaint rooms in our houses, purchase new furniture, and still feel empty, alone, and in debt.

Only God has the ability to satisfy the deepest longing in our hearts. Sure, it is fun to wear a new shirt and feel as though you are looking your best. God is not against this. In fact, He wants us to do well in this life. However, He wants us to love Him above all things. He gives good things to His children, but when the good things become objects of worship, we find that we are headed for trouble.

God will allow us to drift until we wake up and realize that our needs cannot be satisfied by anything or anyone other than God Himself. A new marriage or a new baby will not relieve the pressure. Many times it only makes it worse.

You can stop the dryness in your life by telling the Lord what you are facing and how you feel. He understands your needs, but He also knows that the only way you truly will find refreshment and hope that lasts is by living your life for Him. Amen!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Genesis 49. The last words of Jacob. Jacob’s prophecy concerning his sons

Genesis 49. The last words of Jacob. Jacob’s prophecy concerning his sons

1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days. 2 Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father. 3 Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: 4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.

5 Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations. 6 O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall. 7 Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.

8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee. 9 Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? 10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. 11 Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes: 12 His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.

13 Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon. 14 Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens: 15 And he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant; and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute. 16 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. 17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward. 18 I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD. 19 Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last. 20 Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties. 21 Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.

22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall: 23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him: 24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:) 25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb: 26 The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren. 27 Benjamin shall ravin as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.

28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them. 29 And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite, 30 In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace. 31 There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah. 32 The purchase of the field and of the cave that is therein was from the children of Heth. 33 And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

WELCOME ADDRESS

We are indeed particularly grateful to God for the 60th anniversary of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God and the 70th birthday anniversary of our beloved Daddy G. O. all of which took place in 2012. You will all agree with me that we are still basking in the jubilee blessings that God has bestowed on us through these landmark events.

I welcome you heartily to WOMEN IN MINISTRY CONFERENCE 2013. This year’s conference is a special one because it is the 15th anniversary of the conference which started in the year 1998. From that humble beginning, the Almighty God has brought us a long way as female ministers in the Redeemed Christian Church Of God. It is not surprising that God has decided to call us to a higher place of relevance in the ministry that He has committed to our hands.

If we look deeply into the happening all over the world and particularly in our nation, Nigeria, there is no gainsaying the fact that the end time is drawing closer by the day. This is a time to stand firm on the tenets of our faith and to encourage all others to do the same. Women have always been great vessels of influence in the hands of Our LORD Jesus Christ. More than ever before, our LORD Jesus Christ must find us dependable at this time. We must be the true salt of the earth and true light of the world in all our spheres of influence. This way, our lifestyles will draw men unto God.

This conference has been inspired by God and specially packaged to empower us to go forth as role models and beacons of light to the next generation and to the world at large. We encourage you to be attentive throughout the entire programme and to go home thoroughly refreshed and inspired for the great work ahead.

Once again, you are most welcome and may God bless you abundantly!

God wants you to be solely devoted to Him so that He can bless you with His very best

Dear Friend,

God calls us to a total commitment – nothing less will do. He called Abraham to complete devotion, and the same was true for Moses, David, all of the disciples, and the apostle Paul. We can’t be halfhearted in our love for the Lord and expect to fully experience His joy and peace in our lives. In fact, until we make a full, uncompromising commitment to Him, there will always be distracting factors at work in our lives. We’ll constantly be tempted to step away from His very best for us.

In order to be His disciple, you must be willing to deny – not only yourself and your personal desires and passions-but also your love for anyone or anything that could possibly take His place in your heart. Nothing can be more important than Him.

For many people, this concept is hard to accept. They want to say, “Lord, surely You don’t want me to give up my only dream for the future?” Or, “Lord, I really want to marry this person. I love her. I know she’s not a believer, but I need her. Besides, if I walked away, who would help her know You? Isn’t my love for her a testimony about Your love for us?”

To make her point clear, a Christian counselor climbed up on a chair and asked her client to pull her down. The object lesson? It is easy to pull someone down but next to impossible to pull another up – especially if that person resists the truth. God wants you to be solely devoted to Him so that He can bless you with His very best.

The Enemy of your soul, however, wants you to settle for much less. In fact, his goal is for you to step out of God’s will through disobedience. He knows if you do, you will not only miss a blessing, but your life will become shrouded with feelings of guilt and disappointment. When that happens you become ineffective as a witness for Christ. God has a great plan in mind for you. When you dedicate yourself fully to Him, you will see it unfold.

True worship always gives God the nearest, dearest, and most treasured thing in our lives.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

“Hold On to Your Faith!” By Pastor Reba Rambo-McGuire (The River At Music City)

“Hold On to Your Faith!” By Pastor Reba Rambo-McGuire (The River At Music City)

The River seems to be a church where the “seeing gifts” tend to thrive more and more.

A few weeks ago Pastor Dony was teaching about the power of forgiveness and one of our pastors, Pastor Robin, began to have an amazing vision… Suddenly the sanctuary was filled with not only throngs of angels but all sorts of otherworld heavenly beings. They would listen intently with their hands cupped to their ears as Pastor Dony spoke, but then they would turn and lean into the members of the congregation and ask one another, “Are they getting it?  Are they really hearing and absorbing what he is saying?” There was great, wide-eyed anticipation on their faces coupled with breathless ecstatic joy.

All at once a beautiful sword appeared dazzling bright with the jeweled word “Forgive” on the living blade. An angel thrust it, handle-first into Pastor Robin’s hand. As she began to wield her sword, she thought of someone who she really didn’t feel she had unforgiveness in her heart against, but she recognized there was just a kind of sad sigh when she saw this person… a heaviness.

Holy Spirit opened her eyes further. As she saw them, she realized they were wrapped in cords of unforgiveness. She thought of the times that she had heard ministers say, “You need to forgive others because of what it will do for you,” so she began to take the sword and cut them free from their bonds. Pastor Robin not only began to feel lighter and freer, but she saw the countenance entirely change on the one she had released. The person was instantly transformed and took up a sword and began to liberate others. The room was enlarged and there were thousands of swords flying with precision and grace setting the captives free!

Earlier last week I was at my desk thinking about that vision and began looking through some of Pastor Dony’s sermon notes. I saw the poignant phrase, “Hold on to your faith!”

Suddenly I was transported to a beautiful, wind-tossed sea where I was holding on to a sort of boogie board with a small motor. Written across the board with blazing letters was the word “Faith” and on the motor was the word “Love.”

Immediately I thought of Galatians 5:6… For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love. Love is the power plant for my faith… it’s the battery in the flashlight… the gas in the tank!

But then I heard, “Look closer.” Even though I was holding on to my faith and it was operating somewhat in love, I could see beneath the water’s surface and realized there was a ball and chain around my foot holding me down. On the ball was written, “Unforgiveness.”  I wasn’t drowning because of my faith, but I wasn’t really going anywhere because of the weight of unforgiveness.

In fact… I was just stuck.

I looked around and there was a sea of people on the water with me… trying desperately to hold on to their faith… trying to move in love but held back from forward progress by weights. As I looked closer, I saw written on some of the ball and chains things like “fear, bitterness, offense, anger, hatred.” I realized Father wasn’t holding these things against us… we were holding them against others and ourselves. Again, powerful living swords appeared and I along with others began to wield them victoriously. Many began to free themselves and others by the spiritual weapon of forgiveness.

Oswald Chambers said, “Faith is deliberate confidence in the character of God Whose ways you may not understand at the time.”

Beloved, it’s time to cling to our confidence in the character and integrity of God. It’s our moment to perpetually move and conduct our lives in His unconditional love that never fails. Let’s rise up and use our swords of forgiveness to release prisoners from every weight that so easily entangles us.

It’s time to stop being stuck and stagnant. Let’s launch on out into the deep and ride the glorious waves of His majestic, supernatural Kingdom!

Surf’s up… it’s time to hold on to our faith!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Have you ever noticed how the smallest things in life can have the biggest impact?

Have you ever noticed how the smallest things in life can have the biggest impact?

The littlest words (please, thank you, yes ma’am, no sir) leave the greatest imprint. The smallest acts of kindness can lead to the largest breakthroughs. When someone holds the door open or pulls out the chair or looks you in the eye, they reveal the greatest picture of who they really are.

It’s those seemingly minor things that lead to major outcomes. In other words, life is all about the details. But sadly, many of those details—the kind words, the acts of etiquette—are hard to find. Let’s get real…

IN TODAY’S WORLD, THE MOOD IS RUDE.

While on the surface, rudeness doesn’t seem to do much more than annoy, the truth is that it can ultimately destroy.

So many people think rudeness is just a product of our fast-paced, technology-driven culture. But I believe the problem isn’t environmental, informational or technological. The problem is spiritual.  As Christ followers, we should set the tone for behavior, manners and etiquette in the world.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!
