You are won to win others, go out and win a soul today

In need of deliverance?

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. (John 15:2)

As seen in Revelation 3:8 and according to 2 Corinthians 12:9, if your strength is small but Jesus is with you, you will achieve more than the fellow who has greater strength but lacks His backing. When God backs you, He will make things easy for you. In addition, if He is the One who opened that door for you, no matter what the enemies do, they will not be able to shut it. God can open to you the door of missionary opportunity. From the example of Apostle Paul, while at Ephesus, the Lord opened opportunities to win souls to Him in spite of the opposition. One way God rewards soul winners is by creating more opportunities to witness. For those who are shy to preach the Gospel, know that the most challenging step is to win the first soul. You will find soul winning much more easier after you take in your first catch. It is commonly said that practice makes perfect. When you win souls, the anointing to rake in more is released. When last did you win souls to Christ?

Moreover, you will also notice that the more you turn down an opportunity to win souls to Christ, the more difficult it becomes to speak to the next soul that comes your way. When this continues, satan will permanently shut your mouth for a whole month, or for a period. This is bondage! If the mouth the Lord gave to you to declare Him to men is used for everything else other than that, you are in bondage. A lot of Christians have been delivered from sin but need deliverance from the spirit of fear refraining them from preaching the Gospel. Do not deceive yourself that you are pleasing God when you do not win souls. You displease God big time! If your position as a pastor is the excuse for not winning souls, it is better you quit that office and regularly win souls than retain the office without winning souls.

You are won to win others. Go out and win a soul today!

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

God Will Share His Glory With No Man

God will share His glory with no man

We all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18).

God will share His glory with no man. If you are not passionately pursuing the glory of God, He is not hanging out with you because He won’t share His glory. The reason He has saved you, the reason He elected you, the reason you are a child of God is to make you part of the community of people called the church, which exists for His glory alone.

We are dealing with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, the Creator of the universe, and we just give Him the leftovers in our lives. We are reluctant to adjust to what He wants. We won’t redo our schedules or our plans because this is our life. But to ascribe glory to Him is to give Him recognition and authority in our lives. Jesus said in John 17:4: “I glorified You . . . having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do.” Remember also that Jesus prayed before His death: “For this purpose I came to this hour. Father, glorify Your name” (John 12:27-28). Christ died for the glory of God.

Can you say that in difficult times you will submit to the Lord’s purpose and trust that He will be glorified? God uses all things for His glory. Once we look into the mirror of His glory, we will find that He can transform our hearts, and whatever He wants us to do, He takes responsibility for providing for it to be done.

Whatever you do in word or deed, He wants you to wake up, and go to bed, with Him in mind. And if you do, He’ll transform you.

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

For the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost

For the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17)

Is it possible to be full of joy when faced with temptations or hard times? Emphatically yes! As a matter of fact, there’s no better time to express the joy of the Spirit that’s in your heart than in the face of adversity. You were created by God to be joyful at all times. Therefore no matter the challenges or trials that you face, express joy in the Holy Ghost; it’s a demonstration of your faith in the Lord.

James 1:2-3 says “……count it all joy, when ye fall into diverse temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” This means that you must be exuberant with praise to the Lord in spite of them. This kind of attitude sets the forces of heaven in operation on your behalf and causes all that concerns you to be perfected. For you, it’s victory all the time; but the key is learning to keep your joy alive and afloat, irrespective and independent of circumstances.

Whether you feel happy or not, you should continually make melodies of joy, praise and thanksgiving in your heart to the Lord! The Bible tells us something striking about joy in Isaiah 12:3, it says, “Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.”

Salvation refers to all the good things that are yours in Christ Jesus – divine health, prosperity, success, progress, protection, et. The Word says with joy shall you draw out; that means experience or cause to come into manifestation those great and wonderful blessings that are yours in Christ. It emphasizes the connection between your faith and being joyful.

Make up your mind that this year, nothing is going to rob you of the joy of the Lord that’s in your spirit. Decide that you’ll be joyful no matter what! This is important because your joyful attitude in the face of tests and trial is a demonstration of your faith in the Lord, and in His ability to put you over and above every situation.

Prayer:

The joy of the Holy Ghost is in my heart today, expressed in praise and worship to the Lord, in honour and appreciation of Your ability O Lord to put me over above the adversities of life, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

You’ve been blessed to be a blessing

You’ve been blessed to be a blessing

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed (Galatians 3:8).

One of the everyday conveniences that has a great impact on our lives was invented in 1879 by Thomas Alva Edison. Many other who previously tried gave up because of the seeming difficulty involved. However, Edison persisted. He had a strong resolve to be a blessing to the world. Today, after he is long gone, not only is he remembered as an astute scientist whose immense contributions have ushered in many more inventions, he is also renowned for giving the world one of its finest and most important inventions – the incandescent light bulb!

Imagine what the world would have been like without lights. This is what the Bible refers to as witty inventions (Proverbs 8:12). Many today have done much more. You can also be that one man that’ll cause a major change in today’s world. You’ve been blessed to be a blessing. When the Lord told Abraham, “….In thee shall all families of the earth be blessed”(Genesis 12:3), he wasn’t just referring to Abraham alone, but to Christ Jesus. As a new creation in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17) you’re the seed of Abraham (Galatians 3:29).

Therefore, it’s your responsibility to be a blessing to your world. You’re that agent of change that your community, your state, nation and the world as a whole is looking for. You’ve been imbued with the divine wisdom to chart a new course and bless your world. In Proverbs 25:2, the Bible says, “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter”. Through the Spirit, you can search out hidden treasures to bless your world.

No matter the field you’re in, you have the wisdom to provide solution to problems and answers to questions. Colossians 2:2-3 tells us that the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hid in Christ. This same Christ has been made unto you wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:30). The Wisdom of God in you has separated you from mediocrity to excellence; you have in you the grace to change and bless your world.

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for anointing my mind with divine wisdom to affect the lives of people all over the world. I am the seed of Abraham. My thoughts are anointed, and I implement those ideas by the ability of God’s Spirit at work in me, in Jesus Christ mighty Name! Amen!

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Sin Against Brothers

Sin Against Brothers

… there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other.
1 Corinthians 12:25

Being a Christian doesn’t prevent you from sinning-it just gives you the power to resist and overcome it through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 3:23 tells us, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” It doesn’t matter if you attend church faithfully, if you’re a pastor or if you’re the pope-everyone sins and everyone needs the forgiveness of God.

Christians in the church at Corinth were cheating and sinning against their brothers and sisters. Church members were taking advantage of other members, even though they were supposed to be demonstrating God’s love to a lost world.

Paul rebukes them for these things in 1 Corinthians 6:7-8. There can’t be true fellowship when there is church division.

Pray to God right now to show you when you’ve been guilty of hurting someone else. He may show you ongoing sin or wrongdoing from your past. Ask the Holy Spirit to convict you of the sin in that situation and ask the Lord for forgiveness.

Do not deny the existence of sin in your life but acknowledge it and repent, and you will be forgiven.

The Confessions of your mouth

Your Spirit will produce what you say!

If anyone thinks to be religious among you, yet does not bridle his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is vain (James 1:26).

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 says, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God.” Here, the Apostle Paul shows us that the Holy Spirit searches the deep and profound things of God. Which means that the Holy Spirit seeks, investigates, inquires or scan through the divine counsel of God with the purpose of bringing them to pass.

The 11th verse of the same 1 Corinthians 2 reveals that the human spirit also operates the same way: “For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.” The Bible calls the human spirit the candle of the Lord (Proverbs 20:27); that’s where the light of God is; that’s where He guides you from.  Therefore, a Christian who utters words that are inconsistent with the realities of the new life in Christ deceives his own spirit. As a result, his spirit will no longer be a trustworthy guide.

For example, someone might say “We don’t live past age forty in our family.” What he hasn’t realized is that as long as he continues to talk that way, his spirit will believe it and that’s what will be established for him and he wouldn’t live past forty. Rather, he ought to declare “I live a long, healthy, prosperous and impactful life here on earth, and there’s no death in my path, in Jesus Christ Name!  Amen!” (Exodus 23:25-26).

Never speak contrary to the will, purpose and plan of God for your life. Let your words be full of grace, and void of guile and deceit. Talk health, prosperity, success, and victory, and that’s exactly what your spirit will produce for you. James 3:2 says “For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able to bridle the whole body.”

CONFESSION:

I speak in agreement with what God has said concerning me. I live in the reality of my inheritance in Christ Jesus – a long life, full of joy, peace, prosperity and divine health, in Jesus Christ Name. Amen!

We are the salt of the earth

We are the salt of the earth

Matthew 5:13, “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.”

MATTHEW 5:13-16

What is it that will be cast out and trodden under foot of men? Is it the salt, or is it possible that Jesus is speaking about the world? If we as believers lose our preserving influence, then there is no other way for the Lord to save the world. It will be dominated by men.

God flows through His people. It is not our own power that changes people. It’s God’s power in us. But God will not do it without us. It’s a partnership.

Many people spend a lifetime praying for God to move, not understanding that He is going to flow through them. It is not God who is failing to intervene. It is God’s people who are failing to cooperate and let Him flow through them.

Every Christian has God living in them. Therefore we are carrying around other people’s miracles. If we fail to walk in the supernatural power of God, then somone will miss their miracle. We are God’s salt to preserve this putrifying world. Today, get out of the shaker and let the life of God which is in you flow to someone in need.

Praise comes naturally when you count your blessings

Praise comes naturally when you count your blessings

They shall be fresh and flourishing. —Psalm 92:14

In Psalm 92, the poet begins with a commendation of praise: “It is good to give thanks to the Lord.” Good for what? Good for you and me. It does our soul a world of good to turn from anxious thoughts and fill our days with prayerful praise; good to greet each morning with songs of thanksgiving, for such praise makes us glad. It lifts us out of gloom and replaces our sadness with cheerful songs at the “works of [His] hands” (v.4). And what is that work? The work He is doing in us!

Here’s one of my most cherished metaphors: “The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing” (vv.12-14).

Palms are symbols of towering beauty and cedars of unbending strength. These are the characteristics of those who have been “planted in the house of the Lord” (v.13). Their roots go down into the soil of God’s unquenchable love.

Do you think your usefulness to God is over? Continue in God’s Word, rooted and grounded in Christ, drinking in His love and faithfulness. Then, no matter your age, you will bear fruit and be “fresh and flourishing.” —David Roper

From your heart give God your praise
For His blessings all your days;
Lift your voice to God above—
God of mercy, God of love. —Hess

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit

John 7:38 says: “He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”

We understand that this is speaking of the Holy Ghost. Jesus tells us that when we believe on Him, then the Holy Ghost comes into our lives and we are empowered. When it says, “out of his belly shall flow rivers…”, these are rivers of living water.

The rivers include enablement, measures of grace, the things that God enables and empowers us to do with the help of the Holy Ghost. It is not by our own strength, but it is the strength of the Holy Ghost. Jesus wants us to know that we as Christians, when we are born again, when we are saved, we are no longer our own, and it is not we who have to do the work, but it is God who is willing to do the work in us, for us, and through us. Remember, it is God who gave His Son that we might be saved. Here it is expressed that the Holy Ghost comes and empowers us to experience salvation. We are not alone, but we are strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Be strong in the Lord!

When we call on Jesus in a time of need, He will take that which is ordinary and transform it into something supernatural for our benefit

Jesus H. ChristWhen we call on Jesus in a time of need, He will take that which is ordinary and transform it into something supernatural for our benefit

In the 2nd chapter of John, Jesus went to a wedding feast, and while there He turned water into wine. This miracle is symbolic of one of the benefits of our salvation. We know that Jesus came to save, but how could this be a part of salvation?

When we call upon the name of the Lord and receive salvation, with it we receive something amazing. We can call on Jesus in a time of need, and He will take that which is ordinary and transform it into something supernatural for our benefit. In other words, Jesus can take ordinary things, touch them, and transform them into something that meets our need, brings joy to our lives, and helps complete what we are involved in.

Water is the most ordinary thing, but Jesus made it far more than it was. Think about the things you are involved in right now. You may be in a struggle that looks very natural and ordinary to you. Or maybe you are in the midst of a storm that you believe has natural causes, or you may even believe you caused it yourself. It doesn’t matter. There could be a hundred causes, but Jesus is with you right now, and He can touch what seems so natural, so ordinary, and He can make it have a supernatural outcome. He wants to touch your life and cause everything you are involved with to be the best it’s ever been.

Let Him touch your life!

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

God can do things that you never thought would happen

God can do things that you never thought would happen

For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak
shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days,
O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith
the Lord GOD
Ezekiel 12:25

In Scripture, we see that God has many ways to prosper people
financially and to get wealth to them. God has used kings, lepers, and even fish. God has used waterpots, estranged family members and a boy’s
lunch. God has numerous ways to get your blessing to you. God can do
things that you never thought would happen. He can cause income to show
up in a way that you never knew could occur.

As a believer, it doesn’t make sense for you to try to figure out how
God is going to do it. When you do that, all you are doing is
wondering. Wondering is wavering, and wavering means you are going to
do without. So instead of wondering how God is going to bless you, lift
your hands and believe God is going to do it!

He’s the Most High God, and whatever He says always come to pass.

They’re ordinary people Who love God from the heart

Steve was just an ordinary guy. He quietly served in a church I attended years ago. He helped prepare communion, shoveled the church sidewalks in the winter, and mowed the lawn in the summer. He spent time with teenage boys who had no fathers in the home. I often heard him telling people at church in his quiet way how good the Lord was to him. During prayer meeting he didn’t talk much about himself but would ask us to pray for those he was telling about Jesus’ forgiveness and love.

A verse in John 10 about John the Baptist makes me think of Steve. People said of him: “John performed no sign, but all the things that John spoke about this Man [Jesus] were true” (v.41). John didn’t perform miracles as Jesus did. He didn’t talk about himself but came to “bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe” (1:7). He said of Jesus, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (1:29). My friend Steve bore witness of that Light as well.

Our aim, as followers of Jesus, is to do the same—to “bear witness of the Light.” We’re just ordinary people, serving God in our little corner of the world. With our quiet deeds and words, let’s point others to the Light! —Anne Cetas

Just what do Christians look like?

What sets their lives apart?

They’re ordinary people

Who love God from the heart. —D. De Haan

Christians are ordinary people who are committed to the extraordinary person of Christ.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from?  My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2”

The Lord said to Moses, “Look, I’m going to rain down food from heaven for you.  Each day the people can go out and pick up as much food as they need for that day.  On the sixth day they’ll gather food, and when they prepare it, there will be twice as much as usual.”

God meets daily needs daily!

You look at tomorrow’s demands, next week’s bills, next month’s calendar.  Your future looks as barren as the Sinai Desert.  “How can I face my future?” you ask.

God tells you to look up!

Trust Him.  Make it your day changer.  Give your attention to what God is doing right now.  Don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow.  Mark 7:37 says, “God has done it all and done it well.”

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream…. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

Jeremiah 17:7-9

We cannot separate actions from consequences. Why, then, do we allow our culture to tell us that we can plant seeds of one kind and bear fruits of another? The world tells us that we can plant seeds of promiscuity and carelessness and bear fruits of beauty, happiness and even love. But the results are disease, unwanted pregnancy and unhappiness.

Root and fruit are inevitably intertwined.

Isaiah 32:17 says, “The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.”

One of the surest ways to change your life for the better is to stop sowing seeds that bear bad fruit! Plant seeds of righteousness and put those roots in your life. Unlike the culture around us, the Bible takes a very clear position on right and wrong.

Ask Him to guide your actions so you will produce good fruit that is pleasing to God.

Ask And Watch God Arise

Jesus H. ChristAsk and Watch God Arise

Matthew 8:6-7 says: “And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.” Here was a centurion, not even saved, not born again. It doesn’t even say he was a Jew, and yet he asked Jesus for help. He told Him he had someone dear to him who was not whole, someone who was not well. The servant was vexed, tormented, taken captive, and broken. Jesus immediately, without any questions or reservations said, “I will come and heal him.” Jesus wants to make people whole. He wants to come to your home and make you whole. I don’t know if you are broken financially, emotionally, relationally, in marriage, or in body, but Jesus is saying to you right now, “I will come and make you whole.” All you need to do today is just think how simple it was for the centurion. Make it as simple for you today. Say to Him, “Jesus, come and heal. Come and bless. Come and repair. Come and deliver.” Whatever you need, fill in the blank for yourself. Ask, and watch God arise.

He will come!

At the end of every trial – lies the blessing of God

At the end of every trial – lies the blessing of God.

James 1:12 “Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”

When temptations, trials and tribulations come into your life you need to be resolute, standing firm, knowing that at the end of every trial lies the blessing of God and the manifestation of His promises over your life.

I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears

I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. —Psalm 34:1-10

In his first inaugural speech in 1933, Franklin D. Roosevelt, the newly elected president of the US, addressed a nation that was still reeling from the Great Depression. Hoping to ignite a more optimistic outlook regarding that economic crisis, he declared, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself!”

Fear often shows up in our lives when we are at risk of losing something—our wealth, health, reputation, position, safety, family, and friends. It reveals our innate desire to protect the things in life that are important to us, rather than fully entrusting them to God’s care and control. When fear takes over, it cripples us emotionally and saps us spiritually. We’re afraid to tell others about Christ, to extend our lives and resources for the benefit of others, or to venture into new territory. A fearful spirit is more vulnerable to the enemy, who tempts us to compromise biblical convictions and to take matters into our own hands.

The remedy for fear, of course, is trust in our Creator. Only when we trust the reality of God’s presence, power, protection, and provision for our lives can we share the joy of the psalmist, who said, “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears” (Ps. 34:4). —Joe Stowell

Day by day and with each passing moment,

Strength I find to meet my trials here;

Trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment,

I’ve no cause for worry or for fear. —Berg

God will use what you put at His disposal to allow things to come into your life

God will use what you have at His disposal.

Proverbs 6:6-11 “Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise,

7 Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler,

8 Provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest.

9 How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep?

10 A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep—

11 So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, And your need like an armed man.”

While God has promised to supply all your need according to His riches in glory, you need to realize that you still have a part to play. God will use what you put at His disposal to allow things to come into your life. As an example, He will use your business to channel finances into your life. He will use your faith, mixed with action to bring blessings and provision into your life.

Filled with the Holy Spirit

Ephesians 5:18, NIV

God has clearly commanded you and me to “be filled with the Spirit.” But an unconfessed sin or resistance to His authority will block the “flow” of His life within us. If we do not deal with it, our spiritual lives become stagnant and we lose our attractiveness and usefulness to God. And we have nothing refreshing about us that would draw other people to Christ.

What is hindering you from being filled with the Holy Spirit? To be filled with the Holy Spirit is to be under His moment-by-moment control. He has not been given to you so that you can keep Him confined to a particular area in your life. Let Him loose! He is Lord! The amount of power you experience to live a victorious, triumphant Christian life is directly proportional to the freedom you give the Spirit to be Lord of your life!

In the kingdom of God, we won’t be given any great opportunities until we are proven faithful in the small things

MINISTRY IN ACTION

Mk. 1:31, “And he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.”

MT. 8:14-17; MK. 1:29-34; LK. 4:38-41

How did Peter‘s mother-in-law minister unto Jesus and His disciples? Did she sit them down and preach to them? Certainly not. Yet sometimes people think the only way we can minister to another is to admonish them with the scriptures.

Peter’s mother-in-law apparently ministered to them by serving them. The word translated “minister” is the same word that was translated “deacon” twice in the New Testament, and “serve, served or serveth” eight times.

We can minister for the Lord by doing some of the menial tasks that many consider to be unimportant. Jesus said that even a cup of cold water given in His name would not go unrewarded (Matthew 10:42).

Many people are waiting for the important jobs to come along where they can make a big impact or receive a lot of recognition, while they pass by many lesser opportunities every day. But in the kingdom of God, we won’t be given any great opportunities until we are proven faithful in the small things (Luke 16:10).

Today, ask the Lord to show you ways you can minister to others by serving them.
