From Hot For Christ To Dead To Christ

I know what you have done; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were either one or the other! But because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I am going to spit you out of my mouth! You say, “I am rich and well off; I have all I need”. But you do not know how miserable and pitiful you are! You are poor, naked, and blind.
Revelation 3:15-17

The word “Spit” means to vomit you up. In order to vomit something, you
had to have ingested it at some point. It was in you. It was part of
you, but it became so troubling to you that it had to come out.

This church is prosperous and has allowed its prosperity to dull it. Many times…

Delight yourself in The Lord

Psalm 37:4: “Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart”

So many Christians are preoccupied with fulfilling their purpose in life. Rather than looking for the purpose, PURPOSE TO PLEASE THE LORD.

Delight yourself in Him and He will unveil that which He has called you to do! Amen!

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

King Of Kings

King of kings

What make a king different from other people? Although a king looks just like any other person yet he is not an ordinary person. One difference is that everything he touches becomes unique. If an ordinary person sits on a chair, it remains a chair no matter how flamboyantly designed it is, but if a king sits on a chair, it becomes a throne. When an ordinary person wears a cap, it remains a cap, but when a king wears a cap, it becomes a crown. Walking stick in the hands of an ordinary fellow has no special value, but if that same walking stick is found in the hands of a king, it becomes a staff of office. One of the titles of our Lord is KING of kings. This is an amazing title because it carries His brethren along. That is, if you…

This Is Love; Not That We Loved God, But That He Loved Us. John 4:10

Prayer's avatarPrayer Haven

English: 4 days of Evangelism Training in Sout...

This is love; not that we loved God, but that He loved us. John 4:10

Love never fails!

Wait a minute, no one has unfailing love! No person can love with perfection.

That’s right. But God is not a person. Unlike our love, His love never fails! God’s love is immensely different from ours. Ours depends on the receiver of the love. Our love will be regulated by appearance or by personality. Even when we find a few people we like, our feelings will still fluctuate.

Does God love us because of our goodness? Because of our kindness? Because of our great faith?

No. He loves us because of HIS goodness, kindness, and great faith. The love of God is born from within Him, not from what He finds in us. His love is uncaused, spontaneous. God loves you simply because He has chosen to do so! Hallelujah!

But My God Shall Supply All Your Need According To His Riches In Glory By Christ Jesus. Philppians 4:19

Prayer's avatarPrayer Haven

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19

All Your Needs!
If God has promised this, then why are so many Christians living in lack? If God wants His children to prosper, then why are so many living in poverty? I want to share with you a way to have all your needs met-not in heaven, but here, now, in this life-not some of your needs,
but all, every one of them. A seed will meet any need, but just as a farmer watches over his seed, so you must do something to guarantee yourself a harvest.
You have a part to play in your prosperity. You can’t live any way you want or do anything you feel like doing and expect God to pour out a blessing on you. God requires of you three things so that…

Healing is a fact

Healing is a Fact

A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.
Matthew 8:2-3
Many Christians are suffering needlessly with sickness and disease. They don’t realize that healing has already been provided for them. Healing is not a promise from God but an established fact-for the Word of God says that “by his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).
The problem is that perfect faith cannot exist where the will of God is not known. How can people have faith that God wants to heal them if they don’t know the will of God concerning their healing? The truth is that unbelief will prevent you from…

About Those Scribes

Luke 6:7, “And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day, that they might find an accusation against him.”

MATTHEW 12:1-14; MARK 2:23-3:6; LUKE 6:1-11

The scribes were copyists of the Holy Scriptures. They preserved in written form the oral law, and faithfully handed down the Hebrew Scriptures. In New Testament times, they were students, interpreters, and teachers of the Old Testament. Their functions regarding the law were to teach it, develop it, and use it in any connection with the Sanhedrin and various local courts. They were ambitious for honour, which they demanded, especially from their pupils, as well as from the general public. This homage was readily granted them (Mt. 23:5-11).

God Will Not Bless Your Mess

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and
into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction
and perdition
1 Timothy 6:9

Paul did not say that this would happen to those who are rich. He said
that this would happen to those who crave, lust after, and chase
riches.
There are two systems: God’s prosperity that comes when you chase after
God, and God causes abundance to chase after you; and the world’s
prosperity that results from chasing after money because you really
don’t know God.
You cannot know God and still act like the world, chasing after things,
lusting after things or buying things simply because you want what
someone else has. You have to discipline your flesh. God will not bless
your mess. As long as you violate Scripture, He is…

How awesome is God‘s Word

Ezra 1:1

“Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,”
NKJV

When you look throughout the Bible, you will find amazing accuracy when it comes to history. What’s even more amazing is that many times the history we read in the Bible was actually spoken of before it happened. In the passage above, we read how God was stirring King Cyrus to help Israel. This is an awesome fact in and of itself but when we look back, we realize that God had this planned long before.

Often we read about how God responded to David and Moses when they were
in the middle of a situation. However, when Scripture says that God

God expects you to seek Him. Go to the Word of God and study it. Then,
stay in your prayer closet long enough for your own thoughts to recede
and the mind of the Spirit takes precedence. Pray in

Christ The Power And Wisdom Of God

Christ, The Power And Wisdom Of God

1 Corinthians 1:24 “To those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.”

People today run after two things: miraculous signs and wonders, and knowledge. It was no different in Bible times. The apostle Paul acknowledged that “Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom”. (1 Corinthians 1:22)

So when Paul preached Christ crucified as God’s solution to them, the message was “to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness”. (1 Corinthians 1:23) They didn’t understand how getting a revelation of Jesus and His death could give them the miracles they needed or the wisdom they wanted.

Beloved, we don’t have to run after miracles or wisdom today. We just need to run after Jesus because He is “The Power of God…

He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities.

Isaiah 53:5, NIV

Perhaps thinking to satisfy the crowd’s thirst for blood without actually going so far as to execute Jesus, Pilate had Him flogged. The flogging would have ripped the flesh off of His back, exposing His internal organs. History records that flogging victims either passed into unconsciousness, went insane, or died. The miracle is not that Jesus survived the whipping, but that He submitted to it! How easy it would have been for Him to defy them and, without cursing but in righteous judgment, send them all to hell!

Why? Why would God allow His Son to endure such physical torture? The answer had been given years earlier, when Isaiah solemnly prophesied…

I Have Never Seen The Righteous Forsaken. Nor His Children Begging Bread. Psalms 37:25.

Prayer's avatarPrayer Haven

A Crown of Righteousness for my Auntie Gin

I have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children beggingbread (Psalms 37:25)

It is great to be righteous! God is keenly interested in what the righteous has. While the world focus on the wealth of the wicked, God focuses on the little that the righteous has.

A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. (Psalms 37:16)

From this scripture we are told that some possessions are better than others. That means you can have little as a righteous individual and give of your little; it will be of great value to God than the individual who gives of his or her abundance but lives in secret sin. Are you righteous but you are bothered because you earn so little and cannot give much? Don’t be troubled! All God is looking for is that little in your…

God Created The Whole Universe Through Him And For Him

God created the whole universe through Him and for Him

“By Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities.”
Colossians 1:16 NASB

What a phenomenal list! Heavens and earth. Visible and invisible. Thrones, dominions, rulers and authorities. Nothing, place, or person omitted. The scale on the sea urchin. The hairs on the elephant hide.

The hurricane that wrecks the coast, the rain that nourishes the desert, the infant’s first heartbeat, the elderly person’s final breath -– all can be traced back to the hand of Christ, the firstborn of creation.

If You have been blessed and Touched by the Lord, Share Your Testimony

“Then he said: ‘I am indeed a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, taught according to the strictness of our fathers’ law, and was zealous toward God as you all are today.'”
NKJV

In Acts 22, Paul shares his ‘God story’, his testimony. Why is he doing this? Is it so others will be amazed at his religious upbringing or at the depth of his biblical training? Is it to glorify his past? No, Paul is sharing his testimony to lead others to Christ by explaining who he was before Jesus, what Jesus did, and the joy that he now has because of Jesus. This is one of the most…
