Mountain Movers: RCCG August 2026 Holy Ghost Service. Sermon and Prayer Point by Pastor E A Adeboye.
Text: Mark 11: 22-23
A mountain is an obstacle big enough to hinder your progress or stop it.
Straightaway, declare:
Anything that can stop my progress, get out of my way now!
There are ways of dealing with mountains:
1. You can turn back.
The Bible says that if anyone turns back, God will have no pleasure in them. Hebrews 10:38
Declare loudly,
I will never turn back!
2. You may try to walk around the mountain.
But walking around it may be a waste of time.
You may go round it, and end up where you started.
The children of Israel went round their mountain for 40 years. Numbers 14:34
Some Israelites even died in the process. Numbers 14: 31-32
In the Name above every other name, that kind of problem that will cause you to go round and round will never come your way.
3. You may decide to climb the mountain.
Climbing a mountain is a good idea, but what happens on the other side?
By the time you’ve climbed up, you can’t turn back. You need God to help you.
You need to have faith in God because with Him, all things are possible. Luke 1:37, Mark 9:23
Why must you have faith in God?
- He is the Creator of all things and knows the foundation of all mountains.
- None of the problems facing you is older than God.
- He is the Ancient of days. Daniel 7:9
- He created all things. John 1:1-3
If you hand the mountain to God, He has His own way of dealing with mountains:
1. He can bore a hole through the mountain, so that you go through the belly of the mountain to the other side.
You pass through, such that those looking at you on this side of the mountain, will discover that you’ve gone to the other side.
The enemies you see today, you will see them no more, because you will pass over to the other side.
Exodus 14:13
All those who are looking for you on this side of the mountain in your life, will discover that you have escaped.
2. God can break the mountain to pieces.
The Wall of Jericho in the way of the Israelites was broken in pieces. Joshua 6: 15-end
Anointing will DESTROY the yoke. Isaiah 10:37
If the yoke is cut, it can be repaired. But if it is destroyed, it is gone completely.
When God decides to demolish your mountain, it is so that the mountain can never be rebuilt.
3. The Lord can cause you to fly above a mountain. Isaiah 40: 28-31
The beautiful thing about flying across the mountain is that the mountain will be there but you’ll be far above it.
You’ll look down on it and smile from above.
What is your mountain?
▪︎ Is it physical? Have you a problem that doctors can not handle?
You will speak to the mountain and command it to move.
+ The woman with the issue of blood had a problem beyond the ability of the doctors to cure. Mark 5: 25-34
In the Name of the God I serve, that mountain will move.
▪︎ Is your problem a family problem? A problem that no one but God can solve.
The woman who came to Jesus, came to Him because of her daughter not herself.
Matthew 15:21-28
Do you have a family who is going through one thing or the other?
In the Name above every other name, that mountain will be moved tonight.
▪︎ Is your problem emotional?
Are you dealing with some kind of sorrow, a certain ‘but’?
For example, you ought to be married and in your home, but you’re still living with your parents.
In the Name above every other name, whatever is a “but” in your life, is going to end tonight.
Everything still causing you sorrow shall be gone tonight.
▪︎ Is your mountain financial?
Is it difficult for you to make endsmeet?
Poverty is a mountain.
In the Name above every other name, you won’t die poor.
All that you need to achieve the purpose of God for your life, in God’s own miraculous way, shall be supplied today.
Is your problem physical, financial, a family problem, or an emotional problem? He will solve it.
▪︎ Is it a spiritual problem?
Are you doing certain things that you know are contrary to God’s will, and yet, you lack the power to stop?
In the Name above every other name, that mountain will move tonight.
The Lord is ready to move your mountains.
But you must speak to the mountain.
You must say it out with your mouth and you must have faith in God.
If you believe and doubt not, you will tell mountains to move and they will move.
Salvation Call:
If you haven’t given your life to Jesus Christ or would like to rededicate your life, ask the Lord to have mercy on you, forgive your sins, wash you clean with His blood, and save your soul.

1. Father, I thank You for the opportunity to be a part of tonight’s meeting.
2. Father, You the original Mountain Mover, please focus on me tonight, in Jesus’ Name.
3. Father, please attend to my neighbours too, in Jesus’ Name.
4. Father, move every mountain, body, soul, and spirit out of my life tonight, in Jesus’ Name.
5. Father, where there was no way before, make a way for me. Open every Red Sea in my life, in Jesus’ Name.
6. Father, pull down every wall of Jericho in my life, in Jesus’ Name.
7. Father, let me fly far above where any enemy can touch me, in Jesus’ Name.
8. Personal request (name the mountain you want God to move, and focus on telling it to God).
