WELCOME ADDRESS

We are indeed particularly grateful to God for the 60th anniversary of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God and the 70th birthday anniversary of our beloved Daddy G. O. all of which took place in 2012. You will all agree with me that we are still basking in the jubilee blessings that God has bestowed on us through these landmark events.

I welcome you heartily to WOMEN IN MINISTRY CONFERENCE 2013. This year’s conference is a special one because it is the 15th anniversary of the conference which started in the year 1998. From that humble beginning, the Almighty God has brought us a long way as female ministers in the Redeemed Christian Church Of God. It is not surprising that God has decided to call us to a higher place of relevance in the ministry that He has committed to our hands.

If we look deeply into the happening all over the world and particularly in our nation, Nigeria, there is no gainsaying the fact that the end time is drawing closer by the day. This is a time to stand firm on the tenets of our faith and to encourage all others to do the same. Women have always been great vessels of influence in the hands of Our LORD Jesus Christ. More than ever before, our LORD Jesus Christ must find us dependable at this time. We must be the true salt of the earth and true light of the world in all our spheres of influence. This way, our lifestyles will draw men unto God.

This conference has been inspired by God and specially packaged to empower us to go forth as role models and beacons of light to the next generation and to the world at large. We encourage you to be attentive throughout the entire programme and to go home thoroughly refreshed and inspired for the great work ahead.

Once again, you are most welcome and may God bless you abundantly!

God wants you to be solely devoted to Him so that He can bless you with His very best

Dear Friend,

God calls us to a total commitment – nothing less will do. He called Abraham to complete devotion, and the same was true for Moses, David, all of the disciples, and the apostle Paul. We can’t be halfhearted in our love for the Lord and expect to fully experience His joy and peace in our lives. In fact, until we make a full, uncompromising commitment to Him, there will always be distracting factors at work in our lives. We’ll constantly be tempted to step away from His very best for us.

In order to be His disciple, you must be willing to deny – not only yourself and your personal desires and passions-but also your love for anyone or anything that could possibly take His place in your heart. Nothing can be more important than Him.

For many people, this concept is hard to accept. They want to say, “Lord, surely You don’t want me to give up my only dream for the future?” Or, “Lord, I really want to marry this person. I love her. I know she’s not a believer, but I need her. Besides, if I walked away, who would help her know You? Isn’t my love for her a testimony about Your love for us?”

To make her point clear, a Christian counselor climbed up on a chair and asked her client to pull her down. The object lesson? It is easy to pull someone down but next to impossible to pull another up – especially if that person resists the truth. God wants you to be solely devoted to Him so that He can bless you with His very best.

The Enemy of your soul, however, wants you to settle for much less. In fact, his goal is for you to step out of God’s will through disobedience. He knows if you do, you will not only miss a blessing, but your life will become shrouded with feelings of guilt and disappointment. When that happens you become ineffective as a witness for Christ. God has a great plan in mind for you. When you dedicate yourself fully to Him, you will see it unfold.

True worship always gives God the nearest, dearest, and most treasured thing in our lives.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

“Hold On to Your Faith!” By Pastor Reba Rambo-McGuire (The River At Music City)

“Hold On to Your Faith!” By Pastor Reba Rambo-McGuire (The River At Music City)

The River seems to be a church where the “seeing gifts” tend to thrive more and more.

A few weeks ago Pastor Dony was teaching about the power of forgiveness and one of our pastors, Pastor Robin, began to have an amazing vision… Suddenly the sanctuary was filled with not only throngs of angels but all sorts of otherworld heavenly beings. They would listen intently with their hands cupped to their ears as Pastor Dony spoke, but then they would turn and lean into the members of the congregation and ask one another, “Are they getting it?  Are they really hearing and absorbing what he is saying?” There was great, wide-eyed anticipation on their faces coupled with breathless ecstatic joy.

All at once a beautiful sword appeared dazzling bright with the jeweled word “Forgive” on the living blade. An angel thrust it, handle-first into Pastor Robin’s hand. As she began to wield her sword, she thought of someone who she really didn’t feel she had unforgiveness in her heart against, but she recognized there was just a kind of sad sigh when she saw this person… a heaviness.

Holy Spirit opened her eyes further. As she saw them, she realized they were wrapped in cords of unforgiveness. She thought of the times that she had heard ministers say, “You need to forgive others because of what it will do for you,” so she began to take the sword and cut them free from their bonds. Pastor Robin not only began to feel lighter and freer, but she saw the countenance entirely change on the one she had released. The person was instantly transformed and took up a sword and began to liberate others. The room was enlarged and there were thousands of swords flying with precision and grace setting the captives free!

Earlier last week I was at my desk thinking about that vision and began looking through some of Pastor Dony’s sermon notes. I saw the poignant phrase, “Hold on to your faith!”

Suddenly I was transported to a beautiful, wind-tossed sea where I was holding on to a sort of boogie board with a small motor. Written across the board with blazing letters was the word “Faith” and on the motor was the word “Love.”

Immediately I thought of Galatians 5:6… For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love. Love is the power plant for my faith… it’s the battery in the flashlight… the gas in the tank!

But then I heard, “Look closer.” Even though I was holding on to my faith and it was operating somewhat in love, I could see beneath the water’s surface and realized there was a ball and chain around my foot holding me down. On the ball was written, “Unforgiveness.”  I wasn’t drowning because of my faith, but I wasn’t really going anywhere because of the weight of unforgiveness.

In fact… I was just stuck.

I looked around and there was a sea of people on the water with me… trying desperately to hold on to their faith… trying to move in love but held back from forward progress by weights. As I looked closer, I saw written on some of the ball and chains things like “fear, bitterness, offense, anger, hatred.” I realized Father wasn’t holding these things against us… we were holding them against others and ourselves. Again, powerful living swords appeared and I along with others began to wield them victoriously. Many began to free themselves and others by the spiritual weapon of forgiveness.

Oswald Chambers said, “Faith is deliberate confidence in the character of God Whose ways you may not understand at the time.”

Beloved, it’s time to cling to our confidence in the character and integrity of God. It’s our moment to perpetually move and conduct our lives in His unconditional love that never fails. Let’s rise up and use our swords of forgiveness to release prisoners from every weight that so easily entangles us.

It’s time to stop being stuck and stagnant. Let’s launch on out into the deep and ride the glorious waves of His majestic, supernatural Kingdom!

Surf’s up… it’s time to hold on to our faith!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Have you ever noticed how the smallest things in life can have the biggest impact?

Have you ever noticed how the smallest things in life can have the biggest impact?

The littlest words (please, thank you, yes ma’am, no sir) leave the greatest imprint. The smallest acts of kindness can lead to the largest breakthroughs. When someone holds the door open or pulls out the chair or looks you in the eye, they reveal the greatest picture of who they really are.

It’s those seemingly minor things that lead to major outcomes. In other words, life is all about the details. But sadly, many of those details—the kind words, the acts of etiquette—are hard to find. Let’s get real…

IN TODAY’S WORLD, THE MOOD IS RUDE.

While on the surface, rudeness doesn’t seem to do much more than annoy, the truth is that it can ultimately destroy.

So many people think rudeness is just a product of our fast-paced, technology-driven culture. But I believe the problem isn’t environmental, informational or technological. The problem is spiritual.  As Christ followers, we should set the tone for behavior, manners and etiquette in the world.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Seed Time And Harvest

Seed Time And Harvest

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat,

and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease

Genesis 8:22

Genesis 8 states a natural law: as long as the earth remains, seed time

and harvest shall not cease. But Mark 4 shows that the natural law is

also a spiritual law: as long as the kingdom of God remains, there will

always be seed time and harvest.

If you sow a seed in good ground, you will reap a harvest. If you sow a

seed in God’s kingdom— and that also applies to offerings & money—you will also reap a

harvest.

When you sow, you will reap. Or in today’s language: When you give, you

will receive. That’s just how the kingdom of God operates…but this is

according to your faith.

God’s Joy

“I have said these things to you that my joy may be in you.”  John 15:11 RSV

Think about God’s joy. What can cloud it? What can quench it? . . . Is God ever in a bad mood because of bad weather? Does God get ruffled over long lines or traffic jams? Does God ever refuse to rotate the earth because his feelings are hurt?

No! His is The JOY which consequences cannot quench. His is a peace which circumstances cannot steal.

Glory be to His Holy Name! Amen!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

If God could forgive the men who nailed His Son to the Cross, why do you think He won’t forgive you?

God’s Forgiveness

Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

Matthew 6:12, NKJV

Jesus, the Lamb of God, God’s own Son, was sacrificed on the altar of a wooden Roman cross.

Normally, crucifixion victims cursed and screamed obscenities and even passed into unconsciousness from the initial pain. Jesus reacted in a stunningly different way – He prayed, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34, NIV). Fifty days later when Peter preached at Pentecost, Jesus’ prayer was answered when some of the very men who crucified Him repented of their sins, placed their faith in Him, and were baptized in His Name!

If God could forgive the men who nailed His Son to the Cross, why do you think He won’t forgive you?

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Are you willing to seek God and turn away from your own selfish ways? God longs for us to be obedient and desires a deep relationship with us

Are you willing to seek God and turn away from your own selfish ways?  God longs for us to be obedient and desires a deep relationship with us

2 Chronicles 7:14

“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

NKJV

In today’s society, it can be difficult to live a life that calls for us to be different. We excuse away bad behavior and submit to pressures that weigh on us – and we compromise. We try to do things our own way and resist doing things God’s way. Second Chronicles 7:14 says, If we seek Him humbly and turn from our wrongdoings we can have this intimate relationship with Him. If we disobey Him, our lives will be consumed with ruin (Zephaniah 1:1-6). God longs for us to be obedient and desires a deep relationship with us. While we cannot live a perfect life, we can set our heart and minds on God and seek Him.

Are you living on the fence? Have you compromised in your relationship with other Christians, in prayer or in time with Him and His Word? Are you willing to seek God and turn away from your own selfish ways? Friend, the day is drawing near when God will intervene in each of our lives. In our inability to offer Him anything, He still accepts you and me. God provides a way out through His Son, Jesus, as payment for our sins–for those who place their faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

What will you decide today? You can decide now to live for Him, sit on the fence or reject Him and spend eternity separated from Him. This is an act of your will and no one can make the decision for you. The time is now.

Dear Jesus,

Thank You for loving me. Thank You for the opportunity to examine my relationship with You. I have strayed, and I do not want to compromise my life anymore. I commit myself to You afresh. I admit that I am a sinner. I believe You died for my sins. I open the door of my heart and life to You. I receive You as my personal Lord and Savior. Right now, I ask for Your power to help me turn from my sins. Thank You for forgiving me and saving me. Help me to be a blessing to You and others with each day that You give to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

You are a Victor In Christ Jesus not a Victim Of Circumstances

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye

might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be

of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

When you made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, you were born into

victory, because the Victor came to live inside of you. He

overcame every kind of trouble there is. Cheer up, my friend!
