With such box-office successes as Facing the Giants, Fireproof and Courageous to their credit, there’s no denying that the Kendrick brothers have tapped into a deep market for faith-based films. Their latest effort, War Room, doesn’t stray far from their well-established template and should well succeed in attracting their literally faithful audiences, although its heavy-handed proselytizing and soap opera-ish storytelling will prove a turn-off to those who don’t pray on a daily basis.

Tony, so bulked-up that he appears to be dipping into his company’s steroids, has little use for his wife, telling a friend “I’m just tired of her,” and pays little attention to the couple’s adorable 10-year-old daughter Danielle (Alena Pitts).

I saw this joke online I thought I should share it. I am an Igbo Man! So Proud to be One! Igbos are industrious, we believe we migrated from Israel. I honestly don’t think there is any country in the world you will not find an Igbo man pulling weight, making his prescence felt by all positively!
An Igbo engineer couldn’t find a job so he opens a clinic and puts a sign outside ‘GET TREATMENT FOR 20k – IF NOT CURED GET BACK 100k.
A lawyer thinks this is a great opportunity to earn 100k and goes to the clinic…
Lawyer:“I have lost my sense of taste” Igbo man:“Nurse, bring medicine from box no. 22 and put 3 drops in patient’s mouth” Lawyer:“Ugh..this is kerosene” Igbo man:“Congrats, your sense of taste is restored. Give me 20k”
The annoyed lawyer goes back after a few days to recover his money… Lawyer:“I have lost my memory. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. —John 1:1
What does “the Word was God” in today’s verse mean? It means “face to face with God.” It describes the most intimate kind of communion and union.
Matthew_1-21: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins
Think about that for a moment. Jesus left heaven to be born in a stable… to walk among men on the dirty streets of Galilee. He lived and died and rose again as a human being.
Isn’t it amazing that God would walk among us? But why would He do this?
He did it because He loves you and me… and He wants you and me to come into a personal relationship with Him. But because we are separated from God by our sin, we can’t know God or experience God or get near to God in His absolute holiness. So God came near. He came down in the person of Jesus Christ and paid the price for our sin by dying on the cross.
So let me ask you, how have you responded to Jesus Christ in your life?
If you’ve accepted Him as your personal Lord and Savior, I praise God that you’ve made the best decision you will ever make. But if you haven’t made this decision, what’s stopping you from accepting God’s free gift of eternal life right now?
