I Need To Pay Close Attention To God’s Word Because It Will Always Come To Pass

I Need To Pay Close Attention To God’s Word Because It Will Always Come To Pass

“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”
Psalm 107:20 (KJV)

God never starts anything without His word. Anything that God wants to do on earth, the first thing he does is to send His word across. Once He sent out His word, it is as good as done. You don’t have any reason to doubt or fear. Nothing can be accomplished without God’s word.

The Bible tells us that: “In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. (2) the same was in the beginning with God (3) All things were made by him and without Him was not anything made that was made. (4) In him was life and the life was the light of men (5) And the light shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehendeth not…….(14) And the word was made flesh” (John 1:1-5; 14, KJV). The word became flesh and dwelt among us. It became evident. We therefore need to pay close attention to God’s word because it will always come to pass.

One thing every believer must understand about the word of God is the fact that before He speaks or sends any word concerning you, He has already completed it in the spirit. The time He sent it is not when it was done. “Forever O lord, thy word is settled in heaven” (Psalm 119:89, KJV). His word has been settled in heaven. It is already guaranteed. It can never fail because it has already been settled in the spirit realm before God sent it forth.

Prophet Isaiah puts it succinctly when he states that God declares “the end from the beginning” (Isaiah 46:10, KJV). I know many people may find this difficult to understand. Now look at it this way: if you want to write a book you start from the Foreword, Preface, Introduction, then comes chapter 1, 2,3,4 etc. but that is not how God works. God begins from the conclusion.

Child of God, rejoice because your victory is already concluded and you will surely testify.

Isaiah 46:9-11
9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

11 Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

Psalm 19:7-11
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.

8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.

Text: Isaiah 40:28-31
28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:

31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

One thing is clear, there is no scarcity of power in heaven. Psalm 62:11, there is enough power in heaven to do anything Luke 1:37, the beauty of it is that God is ready to share His power, He gives power to who so wishes.

2015 RCCG Annual Holy Ghost Congress

2015 RCCG Annual Holy Ghost Congress

1. What is power?
Power scientifically is the ability to get things done, for example Deut 8:10-18, ability to get wealth, Act 10:38, Mathew 10:5, Acts 6:8, particularly according to the words of God in Luke 10:19, Jesus gave power to tread on serpent and scorpions. For the work of God to progress in your life, family or church, you need the power of God.

Prayer: Father, the power to put darkness to flight, release on us tonight

2. What exactly is the nature of Power?
If you want to know the basic nature of power, you think of fire. 1 Kings 18, Acts 2:1-4, 2 King 1:9-12

Prayer: Father, tonight send down the fire of the Holy Spirit to descend on us.

3. Power passes Power,
There is a difference between the mighty and the Almighty, there is a difference between the high and the most high. Psalm 91:1, 2 Kings 5:1, Acts 12:1-11, Acts 12:20-24. There is a power that can neutralises the power of the enemy, Daniel 3

Prayer:
Father, tonight, the power to neutralise all the powers of the enemy, release onto us tonight

Father, the power to dismantle every establishment of the enemies in our homes, churches, places of work and families release onto us tonight

4. God is not stingy when it comes to releasing His power,
He can release His power generously, it’s is a matter of how thirsty you are for His power. Judges 14:5-6, 15:14-15. If only you can pray till He releases His power, the power will come like flood. When people pray intensively, God will release His power and He will do it generously, Acts 4:31

Prayer:
Father, tonight send down Your power, shake the heavens and shake the earth and set me free

Shake your leg and say from now on, progress unlimited is my portion

5. What is the purpose of divine power?
Acts 1:8. The purpose of divine power is to enable you to be a witness. A witness is someone that produces evidence that Jesus Christ is alive Acts 3:1-8. You receive power so that working for God will become easy.

Prayer: Father, the power to perform miracles for You so that my family can be saved and my village converted to You, release that power on me now

6. To whom will God release power?
To those whom He will use for His glory, His power is not for show. God will release His power to those who work for Him. The power of God is for winning souls.

Finally, God will not release His power to a sinner because a sinner will misuse the power of God, God will never release His power to a sinner until such sinner comes to Him.

Prayer: Father, through me Lord, let Your power flow In Jesus Name

Late Pastor Bimbo Odukoya 10 Years After

Late Pastor Bimbo Odukoya 10 Years After

The well respected Lagos Pastor, Bimbo Odukoya died in the ill-fated Sosoliso crash on December 10th 2005. Her husband, Pastor Taiwo of the Fountain of Life Bible Church, who is now married to a South African lady, took to his Instagram page to remember her. He wrote;

“It is exactly ten years since the grim incident that led to the passing of my late wife, ‘Bimbo Odukoya. Yet, as I look through the years, I am awash with feelings of gratitude. God, in His character, has been faithful. I am particularly grateful for the life that ‘Bimbo lived and the legacies she left behind.
It is incredible that ten years after her passing, her teachings continue to impact families, and the initiatives she drove while with us, are still here, touching the nations. Indeed, only God could have chosen an eager teenage girl and built her into a woman of international repute, to His glory alone. Only God could have given such a unique assignment and given the grace to run with it. And only God could have determined when the curtains were drawn. If there is therefore any lesson we must consciously strive to remember, it is that there is a divine calling and assignment on every life God created. As we celebrate ‘Bimbo today, let us stop to ask ourselves: ‘am I truly in the place of my assignment? Am I living the life God intended?’ This should drive your life’s philosophy as it did hers. The world will celebrate your influence in Jesus name”. May her soul continue to rest in peace Amen.

Text: 1 John 4:7-11
7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

The bible teaches that Heavens has gates. Gen 28:10-17. We’re also told in Psalm 29:10 that God seats on floods and His throne can be described as flood. Isaiah 44:3. When we talk about flood gates of Heaven, it means heaven has gates and He is seating on flood.

THE FLOOD OF LOVE,
1 John 4:8
8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

What Happens When God Releases The Flood Of Love

2015 RCCG Annual Holy Ghost Congress

2015 RCCG Annual Holy Ghost Congress

1. Love covers nakedness. Nakedness and shame are synonymous. Gen 2:23-25, Gen 3:1-13, 21. The first thing God did in d garden of eden was to cover the nakedness of Adam and Eve after their fall. Love covers nakedness. Joel 2:25:27, Isaiah 54:4.

Prayer:
Father, out of Your love, cover my nakedness, don’t let me be put to shame.

2. Love can neutralise death. Song of Solomon 8:6, 1 John 3:14, John 11:1-5, 34 (Story of Lazarus) because He loved Lazarus in a special way, the man who have been dead came to life. Love can change the date of death of someone.

Prayer:

Father, the date of appointment of death over my life, Lord change it right now in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

3. Love gives the best. John 3:16, Romans 8:32, Gen 29:3-30. Love gives the best and if the best is not enough, it gives extra. 2 Chronicles 1:6-12, 2 Samuel 12:24. When God put it in your heart to do something for Him, He is setting you up for a miracle.

Prayer:
Father, the best You can give to any human being, give it to me tonight.

4. Love guarantees total victory. Romans 8:37, 8:31, Psalm 68:1-3, 1 Samuel 17:32-51. Isaiah 41:10-13

Prayer:
Father, arise tonight and fight for me

5. Love chasten, chastised, discipline. Revelation 3:19, Proverbs 29:15. If you do something wrong and you are not chastised, it means you have been forsaken. Hosea 4:17, Hosea 5:9. Whenever you are doing something wrong and God is not correcting you, you are in danger.

Prayer:

Father if I offend You, rebuke me but please don’t forsake me

In conclusion

We have discovered that heaven has gates, God seat on flood and He is ready to release His love. Proverbs 8:17, God will release His love on those who love Him. 1 John 3:17, 1 John 4:20.

If you haven’t yet given your life to Jesus Christ it means you are wasting His love for you

I Am Like God. If God Cannot Be Defeated, Then I Cannot Be Defeated

I Am Like God. If God Cannot Be Defeated, Then I Cannot Be Defeated

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him;male and female created he them.”
Genesis 1:27 (KJV)

God, in creating man, took the dust and moulded a form that couldn’t move, talk, hear, reason, or do anything. He took the form, stood it before Him, took part of Himself, and breathed it into that form. Then man became a living soul. When man opened his eyes the first thing he saw was God. God was saying to man, “You are like me.”

You are like God. Do not be afraid to accept the fact that you are like God, because God made you in His image. It is not abomination for a son to say he is like his father. When he does so it is acceptable. But at times we find it intimidating to believe that we are like God and that His plan for us is that we should function like Him. We look around and we are confronted by our inadequacies and errors. The very fact that you feel inadequate is proof that God is ready to do a great thing in you. God hardly ever uses the qualified; rather, He calls the available and makes them qualified. Stop feeling limited, and refuse any attempt by the enemy to put you down. Without any shadow of doubt God said, “I want to make them in my image and likeness”, and He did. Beloved, you are exactly like God.

Child of God, you are like God. And you have eternal life, so stop living a low life. Stop going about with limitations. Stop saying you cannot make something happen or that you are disadvantaged simply because of your background. If God is not limited, you cannot be limited. If God is a success, then you are a success. If God cannot be defeated, then you cannot be defeated.

You are like God your Father. Praise the name of the Lord!

Genesis 1:26-28
26 Then God said, “And now we will make human beings; they will be like us and resemble us. They will have power over the fish, the birds, and all animals, domestic and wild,[a] large and small.” 27 So God created human beings, making them to be like himself. He created them male and female, 28 blessed them, and said, “Have many children, so that your descendants will live all over the earth and bring it under their control. I am putting you in charge of the fish, the birds, and all the wild animals.

Genesis 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Psalm 82:6
I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

All The Days Of My Appointed Time, Will I Wait Upon The Lord, Till My Change Comes

All The Days Of My Appointed Time, Will I Wait Upon The Lord, Till My Change Comes

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
Habakkuk 2:3 (KJV)

Many times, we feel that God is too slow in coming through with His Word. We often feel like taking a shortcut. But beloved, if you take a shortcut you will cut yourself short. Remain steadfast in the word of God.

Let us look at the Patriarch Abraham, who today is called the “father of faith”. When God promised him a son, such a thing did not appear feasible from the human standpoint. In fact, it seemed impossible for the word of God to come to pass. The more impossible it looked, the more reassuring God was. And for the next twenty-five years all Abraham had was the promise. It got to the point that Sarah begged Abraham to help God. He took a shortcut and gave birth to Ishmael. But no sooner was Ishmael conceived than trouble began in his home. Eventually, Abraham had to let go of the son he had gotten through a shortcut.

Abraham was not the only human who tried to help God. Take a moment to remember Jacob and the various methods he used to get wealth from Laban, his uncle. Jacob eventually had to let go of all that he had acquired crookedly and had to seek his true blessing. You must let go of “Ishmael” for “Isaac” to come. At times it may look like God’s promise is delayed, but be assured that the blessing will occur at its appointed time. It will not tarry, so patiently wait for it.

Please wait on God’s timing. Job 14:14 says, “If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come” (KJV). The wait may appear long but as the Psalmist rightly said, “[. . .] weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning” (Psalm 30:5, KJV). Your morning of joy has come. The Lord has chosen to remember you. This is the day that the Lord has made for you to rejoice in. Get ready for your miracle because it shall surely come.

Hebrews 6:11-20
11 Our great desire is that each of you keep up your eagerness to the end, so that the things you hope for will come true. 12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to be like those who believe and are patient, and so receive what God has promised.

God’s Sure Promise
13 When God made his promise to Abraham, he made a vow to do what he had promised. Since there was no one greater than himself, he used his own name when he made his vow. 14 He said, “I promise you that I will bless you and give you many descendants.” 15 Abraham was patient, and so he received what God had promised. 16 When we make a vow, we use the name of someone greater than ourselves, and the vow settles all arguments. 17 To those who were to receive what he promised, God wanted to make it very clear that he would never change his purpose; so he added his vow to the promise. 18 There are these two things, then, that cannot change and about which God cannot lie. So we who have found safety with him are greatly encouraged to hold firmly to the hope placed before us. 19 We have this hope as an anchor for our lives. It is safe and sure, and goes through the curtain of the heavenly temple into the inner sanctuary. 20 On our behalf Jesus has gone in there before us and has become a high priest forever, in the priestly order of Melchizedek.[a]

Psalm 30:5
His anger lasts only a moment,
his goodness for a lifetime.
Tears may flow in the night,
but joy comes in the morning.

Romans 4:17-22
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb:

20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

God Sees Only The Best In Me

God Sees Only The Best In Me

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
Romans 4:17

Many a time, when we look at ourselves, we don’t see what we can become. But when God looks at us, He sees what we can become by His grace.

When Jesus first saw Simon, whose name in Greek means “reed”, He changed his name to “Peter”, which means “rock”. But did Peter instantly become someone with the characteristics of a rock—solid, stable and unshakable? No, for a long time, he continued to act like a reed that bends every which way the wind blows.

Once, when Peter saw Jesus walking on water, he took a bold step of faith and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” Then, as he was walking on the water, he saw the boisterous wind, got scared and when he began to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” (Matthew 14:28–30) Another time, he said, “Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death.” (Luke 22:33) Then, a few hours later, he denied knowing Jesus not once, but three times. (Luke 22:54–62)

Yet, throughout his reed-like behavior, Jesus kept calling him “rock” until one day, how Jesus saw him began to take root in him. That day, on the Day of Pentecost, Peter stood up to preach and 3,000 people were saved! (Acts 2:41) Peter had indeed become a rock, a pillar in the early church.

That was how Jesus transformed Peter. And that is how God wants us to change the people and situations in our lives.

God did not tell us to call those things which exist as they exist. What is the point of stating the obvious? It is not going to change anything. No, God tells us to call those things which do not exist as though they did, and they will!

1-Samuel_2-2: There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God

1-Samuel_2-2: There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God

Jesus Came To Bridge The Gap Between God And I

Jesus Came To Bridge The Gap Between God And I

He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor…
Luke 4:18

“Jesus went through all the towns… teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom” (Matthew 9:35).

Imagine Jesus walking from village to village and proclaiming the good news of His kingdom to anyone who would receive it. “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things” (Colossians 3:2). Jesus came to bridge the gap between man and God.

Today, we have the advantage of looking back to the cross. On Calvary, Jesus saved us from an eternity spent in Hell and brought us into the glorious kingdom of God… and that’s good news. The message of the cross never changes.

Because of sin, there was an enormous breach between God and His creation. But God built a bridge through the cross. Now, instead of being separated from God by the chasm, we can have a personal relationship with Him. Galatians 3:13 says, “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law.”

When you share the good news, you are sharing truth already accomplished. God’s love will never change. All you have to look for is God’s anointed time for people to hear.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8).

It’s the most wonderful gift anyone could hope for-share it!

God Will Do What Has Never Been Done Before Because Of His Love For Me

God Will Do What Has Never Been Done Before Because Of His Love For Me

“And in the fourth watch in the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.”

Matthew 14:25 (KJV)

Beloved don’t allow the devil to create fear and doubt in you. If need be, heavens will intervene on your behalf. God will do what has never been done because of you. Jesus had to walk upon the Sea of Galilee. That is a type of divine intervention. He decided to walk upon the sea to show the disciples that what they are afraid of is afraid of them. They were afraid of the storm. And he understood that the only way he could make them cease from fear was to give a demonstration by walking on the sea.

Jesus was in essence, saying: The word I spoke has already taken care of the storm. If only you can receive it. Before I spoke I knew the storm would come. But I have sent my word ahead of the storm. I have already gone ahead of you. Therefore, the storm has no power over you.

Child of God fear not. His word has gone ahead of you. His word will take care of every storm that rises against you. However, be careful not to be so used to God that when he comes in another form, you will not know. The Bible says, when the disciples saw Jesus walking on the sea, they thought he was a spirit because they were used to how He would manifest Himself to them.

Do you know that God can come in the form of the person you hate? And if you are not talking to the person, and God is trying to reach you, you will miss God. The result is that you will remain in your situation. It is imperative, therefore, that you walk in love, so that you don’t miss your moment of visitation.

Do not hinder the power in the word in your life. How can you be living in the same house with somebody for one week and you will not talk with them. If you don’t understand the man that is with you, how then can you understand God? Let us take away the little foxes that destroy the vine.

Matthew 14:22-27
22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.

23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

Galatians 5:1-6
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

King Jesus!

King Jesus!

The kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Romans 14:17, NKJV

The Jews had many preconceived ideas about the Messiah based on their interpretation of Scripture and what they wanted. When Jesus of Nazareth came on the scene with His public ministry, He was neither the Messiah they had been expecting, nor the Messiah they wanted. The Jews wanted someone Who would:

Raise their standard of living,

Grant them privileges without responsibility,

And restore them to the world power they had known under King David and King Solomon.

They wanted someone who would meet their physical and material and emotional needs.
