Every single person on earth has two basic questions he or she is asking: “Who am I?” and “Why am I here?” There was a time when people went to the Bible to find answers to those questions. But now, people are headed in different directions. They’re turning to New Age movements, psychics, and psychology, seeking to find meaning and purpose for life.

And all the while the message of Christ has been suppressed even by many Christians who have made their prayers, “Lord, make us comfortable,” and, “Lord, keep us safe.” They’ve taken the Gospel and made it a refuge rather than a revolution. And they’re flocking to churches, organizations, and cults which promise comfort over and above the cross.

But I want to tell you that comfortable, casual Christianity will not make it in this generation because it does not answer those two basic questions. No, the Christianity that will make it is a revolutionary Christianity that challenges and changes culture with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The days of standing idly by and being a passive worshipper are soon coming to an end. It’s time for God’s church to stand for what they believe! So if it feels like you’re riding the fence of the Christian life, go “all in” today, committing yourself wholly to God’s purposes and living every minute for the glory of Christ!

If You Find Yourself Being A Passive Worshipper, Go “All In” And Surrender Yourself Wholly To Jesus Christ!

Whatever it takes… whatever the methodology… and whatever the means, we need to be reaching out for Christ. There’s no reason Christians shouldn’t be connecting with our culture and reaching out in creative ways with the Gospel.

Think of creative ways you can invite others to experience Christ. Connect with your neighbors by inviting them over for a cookout, football games, etc. Meet other people at your kids’ schools or through social clubs. Don’t be reclusive, but make “Christ connections” that will impact eternity!

Make An Effort To Creatively Connect With Others Who Need To Hear The Gospel!

I heard about a church in California back in the 1970s that opened their doors to some kids on Friday night. So the street kids, the beach kids, and the hippies flocked in, many of them barefoot and dirty. And as they came in, many were encountering Christ in powerful, life-changing ways.

Well, that was fine until the church decided they were going to put brand new baby blue carpet on the floor of their sanctuary. And as you could imagine, it wasn’t long before these kids with their dirty feet were staining that beautiful baby blue carpet.

So in a deacon’s meeting one afternoon, the deacons said, “Pastor, we’ve got to do something about these kids. They’re messing up our baby blue carpet!” So the next Saturday, the pastor went in there and started ripping up the carpet. Somebody stopped him and said, “What are you doing?” He responded, “We don’t need this carpet but we must reach those kids!”

A church’s programs and everything they do shouldn’t be for comfort, but for the purpose of bringing people to Jesus Christ. That’s why the Church exists. Humble yourself, then, and put others first so that they can be led to Christ!

Don’t Allow Comforts To Hinder Others From Coming To Christ. Put Others First And Make It A Priority To Lead Them To Jesus!
