“And he rose, and came to his father. But, when he was yet great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck and kissed him” Luke 15:20 (KJV).
Romans_8-35: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
The scriptures say that it was while you were yet a sinner that Christ died for you. The question is, if Christ died for you while you were still a sinner, why would He give up on you now that you are a believer? Irrespective of what you are going through or the state of your life, it hasn’t change God’s love for you. His love is unconditional; it doesn’t depend on what you have done or on what you didn’t do. He loves you and that is it! Even the devil cannot do anything about it. People might call you names, hate you or even condemn you; it doesn’t change how God feels about you. He demonstrated His love by sending His only son into the world so that you might have eternal life and He is willing to give you anything you need.
In Luke 15, we see a classical case of the prodigal son who took everything that was to be his inheritance. This looks like an abominable act. But a time came after he had lost everything, he came back to his father whom he had scorned, take a moment and think about it, if you were the father what would you have done? Yet the father saw him, ran towards him and restored him. When grace comes, it opens your eyes to see the love of the father. Look at what the love of the father packaged for him. He was called a son and not a servant. The father brought out the fatted calf to receive a son who by all standards did not deserve anything. As if that was not enough the father also put a ring on his finger signifying authority and dressed him in his costly robe as mark of royalty. I prophesy that grace and mercy will visit you in every area of your life. God’s love reaches out to you today and restores you to the position of royalty backed by His Authority. Amen!
