Don’t Worry, Be Happy.

Psalms_118-24: This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it

Good morning friends! How was your night everybody? I’d a wonderful dream last night.
Almost everyone have heard the hit single
‘Don’t Worry, Be Happy’ by Bobby McFerrin.
The song has a very catchy way of conveying its message of being happy to everyone.
Bobby Mcferiin’s simple message surely made a lot of people by telling them not to worry.
Living a happy, resilient and optimistic life is wonderful, and is also good for your health.
Being happy actually protects you from the stresses of life.
Stress is linked to top causes of death such as heart disease, cancer and stroke.
One of the better things ever said is:
‘The only thing in life that will always remain the same is change’, and in our life we have the power to make the necessary changes if we want to.
Even if we find ourselves in an unbearable situation we can always find solace in the knowledge that it too would change.
Social networks or relationships are essential to happiness.
People are different, accept people for who or what they are, avoid clashes, constant arguments, and let go of all kinds of resentment.
If arguments seem unavoidable still try and make an effort to understand the situation and you might just get along well with.
Happiness is actually found in everyone, increasing it is a way to make a life more wonderful and also more health.
To be happy is relatively easy; just decide to be a happy person.
Abraham Lincoln observed that most people for most of the time can choose how happy or stressed, how relaxed or troubled, how bright or dull their outlook to be.
The choice is simple really, choose to be happy.

There are several ways by which you can do this.

Being grateful is a great attitude.
We have so much to be thankful for.
•Thank the taxi driver for bringing you home safely
•Thank the cook for a wonderful dinner
•Thank the guy who cleans your windows.
•Also thank the mailman for bringing you your mails
•Thank the policeman for making your place safe
•Thank God for being ALIVE.

News is stressful.

Get less of it.
Some people just can’t start their day without their daily dose of news.
Try and think about it, 99% of the news we hear or read is bad news.
Starting the day with bad news does not seem to be a sensible thing to do.

A religious connection is also recommended.

Being part of a religious group with its singing, sacraments, chanting, prayers and meditations foster inner peace.

Manage your time.

Time is invaluable and too important to waste.
Time management can be viewed as a list of rules that involves scheduling, setting goals, planning, creating lists of things to do and prioritising.
These are the core basics of time management that should be understood to develop an efficient personal time management skill.
These basic skills can be fine-tuned further to include the finer points of each skill that can give you that extra reserve to make the results you desire.

Laugh and laugh heartily everyday.

Heard a good joke?
Tiffany left the class last night with a good joke.
Always crack a funny joke with your friends or family, they won’t forget how you made them feel. As they also say -‘LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE’.
Express your feelings, affections, friendship and passion to people around you.
They will most likely respond to your actions.
Try not to keep anger of frustrations; this is bad for your health.
Instead find ways of expressing them in a way that will not cause more injury or hurt to anyone.
Working hard brings incredible personal satisfaction. It gives a feeling of being competent in finishing our tasks.
Accomplishments are necessary for all of us, they give us a sense of value.
Work on things that you feel worthy of your time.

Learning is a joyful exercise.

Try and learn something new every day.
Learning also makes us expand and broaden our horizons.
And could also give us more opportunities in the future.
Run, jog, walk and do other things that your body was made for. Feel alive.
Avoid exposure to negative elements like loud noises, toxins and hazardous places.
These are the few simple things you can do every day to be happy.
And always remember the quote from Abraham Lincoln, he says that, “Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.”
The more you improve, you’re moving one step forward than others and be different.

10 Vital Lessons About Resourcefulness From The RED PAPER CLIP GUY.

Proverbs_16-3-1: Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established

Hey! Have you ever felt like you couldn’t do something that you really wanted to do because you lacked the resources? If so, you are about to learn 10 vital lessons about resourcefulness from the “red paper clip guy.”

But first, let’s talk about how he got this odd nickname:
This is a guy who had a red paperclip, which he traded for a fish-shaped pen on July 14th, 2005.

He then traded the pen for a hand-sculpted doorknob, which he traded for a fully fuelled Coleman camp stove.

On September 24th, 2005, he traded the stove for a Honda generator, which he traded for an “instant party” (commitment to fill an empty keg).

He then traded the “instant party” to a comedian in exchange for a snowmobile. He then traded the snowmobile for a two-person trip to British Columbia, and he traded the trip for a cube van.

On February 22nd, 2006, he traded the cube van for a recording contract in Tokyo.
He traded the recording contract to Jody Gnant for a year’s rent in Arizona, which he traded for an afternoon with Alice Cooper, which he traded for a KISS motorized snow globe.

He then traded this to Corbin Bernsen for a role in Donna on Demand, and he traded that role for a two-story farmhouse in Kipling, Saskatchewan.
All of this was done in a year.

Ten Things You Can Learn from This Story.

Don’t Despise Small Beginnings.

No matter how small and insignificant something may seem at first, never underestimate the fact that it could grow into something much greater … and really fast.

Think about how this guy started out with one red paperclip and ended up with a house–simply by making a series of well-crafted trades.

Most likely, you have a lot more resources than a simple paperclip to help you start doing what you want to do.

Persistence Pays.

While reading the list of exchanges which led to the house, it might be easy to assume that this was pretty simple.

It wasn’t. Remember that this is a process which took a year and sent “the red paperclip guy” to many different locations.

He probably also heard the word “no thanks” hundreds of times … but he didn’t give up until he met his objective.

You Don’t Need Money to Acquire Stuff.

No matter what you want in life or how expensive it seems, this story proves that you don’t always have to have money to get what you want.

Think about it: Exchanging materials or services was the way in which the American economy (one of the largest in the world) was established. In fact, it wasn’t until a few hundred years ago that the US started using paper money.

So remember this, and the story of the red paperclip guy…. and that you don’t always need money to get what you want.

Creativity Pays.

Look at the list of exchanges this man made to acquire this two-story summer home, and you’ll realize what a significant role creativity had to have played.

Creativity is probably your most valuable asset when it comes to getting anything you want: More Money, The Perfect Partner, A Better Body, A Better Career, Etc.

Ask and You Shall Receive.

Again, look at the list of exchanges and you’ll realize that in some of them the red paperclip guy got a MUCH better deal than the other person.

These are all deals that he would not have gotten if he had thought: “Ah, that’s not an even trade … they’ll never go for that.”

If there’s something that you want, you’ll never get it if you don’t ask for it. But if you just get into the habit of asking for what you want, you might be amazed at how easily people say yes.

Value Is Relative.

This is probably one of the most vital lessons you can learn about success: Value is relative. After all, who decided that a red paperclip was worth a pen … or that a KISS snow globe was worth a part in a TV show?

Resourcefulness Is More Important Than Resources.

Again, considering the series of exchanges which led up to the acquiring of the house, obviously the red paperclip guy was a resourceful person. It was this resourcefulness that made up for a tremendous lack of material resources.

One Man’s Trash Is Another Man’s Treasure.

Again, value is relative. If you have something that you don’t want, don’t just assume that no one else wants it either.

What you have that you don’t value could end up being the tool you use to get what you really want … without really giving anything up.

It Doesn’t Take 30 Years to Own a House.

Most people try to realize the dream of homeownership by taking out a 30-year mortgage. This guy did it in a year.

This should also prove that when time is lacking, creativity can do more than make up for it.

You Can Make Your Own Luck.

Is this guy just lucky or is this the result of strategic persistence and creativity?

Surely, luck can cause isolated incidents to occur, but not a strategic series of trades which led from a dinky red paperclip to a house in a year.

If this man “made his own luck” this way, certainly you can too if you put these ten lessons to work for you and do the same.

Revelation_4-11: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created

Memorise: But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. – Psalms 3:3

Read: Daniel 3:15-20 (KJV)

15 Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

MESSAGE:

There is nothing as good as having God as your ally. I pity those who make men their shield. It is foolishness to do so because man is limited and cannot even help himself when he becomes overwhelmed with the circumstances of life. There is nothing impossible with God and there is no situation that is beyond Him. This is why I want to abide in Him always, because I know He alone will never fail.

“But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.” – Psalms 3:3

This was the voice of David when he confronted a situation that was beyond him. His son conspired with others, not only to take away his crown, but also to take his life. Who do you run to when people are not only interested in taking your position but also taking your life? Who do you cry to when that strange woman is not only interested in taking your husband but also taking your life? God is the only one who can lift one supernaturally.

There are people who have grief in their hearts. There are those who have been praying and crying for help. There are those who have been sowing in tears. If you are included in these groups, I want you to be comforted because the Almighty God will lift you higher than your problems in Jesus’ name. Do not lose hope in the ability of God to deliver you from any plot against your life. Just call upon the Lord and you will see Him destroying your enemies with their own hands. It does not matter how many enemies are surrounding you at all sides, there is protection for you in God. God is the one who lifts up the heads of His children. He puts great honour upon them and removes everything that has to do with shame and reproach. He is a deliverer to those who run to Him and He ensures all things work out together for their good. Are you in any situation in which the number of people rising up against you are on the increase simply because God is on your side? I want to assure you that the Almighty God will give you peace and calm in the midst of the storm. God will deliver you out of every hand that is holding you down. The fact that God has been fighting on your behalf in the past should give you an assurance that you are a permanent candidate for supernatural lifting, as long as you are at peace with God. All you need to do is ensure that there is no unrighteousness or ungodliness in you. Do not follow the path of the wicked. Live holy and be obedient in faith. Give yourself to prayers always, so that you can put the devil where he belongs. Those who walk in the truth of the gospel will always enjoy glory and honour from God. Be strong in the promises of God and be fully persuaded that all God has promised you will surely come to fulfilment.

From our Bible reading, we see how the three Hebrews boys moved from being slaves to being condemned and then to being promoted all in one day. After God had shown up for them, the king immediately commanded that any people, nation, and language, that speaks against their God shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because no other God can deliver like Jehovah. There is no one that God cannot use for His glory. As long as He sees your heart, He will meet you at the level of your desire. Seek God. Those who follow God will always see good things following them (Matthew 6:33).

Key Point: Who you follow determines what follows you.

Introduction
After salvation, the deep cry of every hearts should be for holiness, to be like Christ and to overcome sin. The Bible teaches glorious victory over sin for every believer.

In 1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

John was not speaking about victory in heaven but daily victory over the world and the rest thereof.

What Are The Promises Of God
Victory over sin for believers
Sin shall not have dominion over us.

Romans 6:14
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Our victory is not just sometimes but always.
He promised us abundant life through Christ if only we can live holy.

What Shall I Do Now
Probably you have tried to live victoriously before and you have failed.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Is still true.
Jesus has never failed. Your failure has not weakened Christ. He is as strong as ever before and still able to give you victory if only you will yield to Him and obey the commands of the Spirit as He leads you.

Conclusion:
Christ conquered sin and gave us victory.

Isaiah_64-8: But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand

1.Thank You Father for where You started with me, for where l am and, for where You are taking me to.

2.Father, in anyway, l have fallen short of Your glory, have mercy and forgive me.

3.Father, please pay attention to me today in Jesus’ name.

4.Father, come and make my life Your permanent place of abode, in Jesus’ name.

5.Father, let my prayers, my alms giving, my fasting, my good deeds, etc, come up to You today, for a memorial, and open the doors of Your mercy and breakthrough for me, in Jesus’ name.

6.Father, connect me with those You have appointed to help me in life, in Jesus’ name.

7.Father, please, endow me with huge financial, material and spiritual resources and make me a silent laborer and achiever in Your kingdom.

8.Father, even, in affluence, please, keep me holy, keep me, pure, humble, submissive and focused on You.

9.Father, help me that I may use my God given wealth, wisdom and position, to serve and expand Your Kingdom.

Psalms_23-5: Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

1.Thank you Father for the precious blood of Jesus, that was shed on the cross of Calvary, for the redemption of my soul and the souls of many.

2.Thank you Father for the weapons of our warfare which are not carnal, but mighty through you, to the pulling down of strongholds.

3.Father, in anyway, l have fallen short of your glory, have mercy and forgive me.

4.Father, let the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

5.Father please fill me with heavenly wisdom that the world cannot comprehend.

6.Father, turn the wisdom of my adversaries, upside down, and let them begin to flee, when no man pursues them.

7.Father, turn every counsel of the likes of Ahithophel concerning me into foolishness, today, in Jesus’ name.

8.Father, let every weapon and gallows prepared for me by the enemies, consume the enemies, in Jesus’ name.

9.Father, let every wicked and evil arrow of sickness, failure, non – achievement, barrenness, poverty, etc, targeted against me and my family, go back to sender, double the speed it came with, in Jesus’ name.

10.Father, as you used Pharaoh to raise up Moses in his own palace, so, let my enemies be the ladder l will climb, into my breakthrough and miracle, in Jesus’ name.

11.Father, let every stubborn pursuer of my life and destiny, perish, in the red sea of his own making, in Jesus’ name.
