God’s Goodness And Mercy Shall Be With You.

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”
(Psalm 23:6)

 

 

 

 
By virtue of the great inheritance we have received from God, He has also deemed it fit to give us a 24/7 security patrol to see to our welfare when we are out and about. Some have referred to these strong angels assigned to keep watch over us, as a special angelic unit called ‘GOODNESS & MERCY UNIT’; (that sounds interesting, so, for the benefit of this devotion and with being overly contentious, I will chose to work with that axiom)

In that case they are uncountable according to Hebrews 12, and so there must be more than enough for everyone who walks the surface of this earth. We must be confident that we are well escorted with our good shepherd Jesus Christ in front of us and the angels behind. Someone called them Watchdogs but I prefer to refer to them as ANGELS.

One thing we are sure to see mothers do, is to tidy up after their children; the children go on a rampage and almost throw the house in a state of confusion and the mother with her tender hands puts everything back to where they belong and mends the broken toys; so we have a God, with a ‘LARGE’ heart who goes after those who are called by His name and He cleans and mends after us. What keeps God’s goodness following us is His love. It is because of His goodness that even when we fail at the task we are credited with that which we do not deserve to have. He gives us the whole wage, when we have in actual fact being working for just an hour of the assigned time. Because of His mercy when we are forgiven, the records are obliterated from his archives, so that there are no more charges laid against us. Do not fear the unknown; God’s Angels have gone ahead of you on the highways and the byways. All the days, even those in which Satan seems to have obtained permission to sift you have been taken care of. Trust me; He is with us always, even until the end of the world.

Prayer: Father God, Your goodness and Your mercy will follow me as Your rod and Your Staff comforts me. I will arise daily with a thought, a faith, and a speech that says the Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want. Thank you in Jesus Name.

Genesis 15. God’s Covenant with Abram.

After this, Abram had a vision and heard the Lord say to him, “Do not be afraid, Abram. I will shield you from danger and give you a great reward.”

2 But Abram answered, “Sovereign Lord, what good will your reward do me, since I have no children? My only heir is Eliezer of Damascus.
3 You have given me no children, and one of my slaves will inherit my property.”

4 Then he heard the Lord speaking to him again: “This slave Eliezer will not inherit your property; your own son will be your heir.”
5 The Lord took him outside and said, “Look at the sky and try to count the stars; you will have as many descendants as that.”

6 Abram put his trust in the Lord, and because of this the Lord was pleased with him and accepted him.

7 Then the Lord said to him, “I am the Lord, who led you out of Ur in Babylonia, to give you this land as your own.”

8 But Abram asked, “Sovereign Lord, how can I know that it will be mine?”

9 He answered, “Bring me a cow, a goat, and a ram, each of them three years old, and a dove and a pigeon.”
10 Abram brought the animals to God, cut them in half, and placed the halves opposite each other in two rows; but he did not cut up the birds.
11 Vultures came down on the bodies, but Abram drove them off.

12 When the sun was going down, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and fear and terror came over him.
13 The Lord said to him, “Your descendants will be strangers in a foreign land; they will be slaves there and will be treated cruelly for four hundred years.
14 But I will punish the nation that enslaves them, and when they leave that foreign land, they will take great wealth with them.
15 You yourself will live to a ripe old age, die in peace, and be buried.
16 It will be four generations before your descendants come back here, because I will not drive out the Amorites until they become so wicked that they must be punished.”

17 When the sun had set and it was dark, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch suddenly appeared and passed between the pieces of the animals.
18 Then and there the Lord made a covenant with Abram. He said, “I promise to give your descendants all this land from the border of Egypt to the Euphrates River,
19 including the lands of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites,
20 the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim,
21 the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.”

My dearly Beloved ,
I kneel on the floor this morning and pray for you.
As long as there is God in Heaven, you will never know shame.
Your life will always have a meaning.
The door of goodness shall not be shut against you.
Every satanic power trying to re-design your destiny shall be crushed by the heavenly hosts.
Every evil arrow shall return back to the sender.
By the grace of God, your arrival at all places will break barriers. Your miracle will break protocols. Your testimony shall last forever. You shall be the most preferred anywhere you go.
Power to survive every storm of life shall rest upon you and the name of the Lord shall be glorified in your life.

The Blood of Jesus will speak for you, the Word will work for you, the Almighty will perfect all that concerns you. You will prosper. The work of your hand will prosper. You will prosper in health. 1. I release myself from the power of every evil throne, in the name of Jesus.
2. Let every evil verdict from my enemies backfire, in the name of Jesus.’
3. Every oppressive throne of darkness, scatter, in the name of Jesus.
4. Every Goliath of my destiny, die in the name of Jesus.
5. Every evil foundation built against me, collapse in the name of Jesus.
6. Fire of God, burn to ashes every evil throne now, in the name of Jesus.’
7. Let the power that destroyed the throne of Babylon destroy all evil throne against me in the name of Jesus.
8. Blood of Jesus, let Your power arise in anger and overthrow my enemies, in the name of Jesus.

I pray for you this morning, may God remember you as He remembered Zion. May He surprise you with His grace, and cause you to dance like David danced. God shall be there for you at every point of your need. The blessings of God shall not pass you by. His glory shall surely manifest in your life. May those who stand on your progress stumble and fall, and may all the curses from your enemies be turned into blessings. Those who hate you will have no choice but to rejoice with you.
