Everything You Will Ever Need Is In The Word Of God.

Proverbs_30-5: Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him

Hebrews_4-12: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart

Luke_11-28: But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 (KJV)

You know very well that I am a stickler for the word of God. I have said it over and over and it bears repetition: whatever the word of God cannot give to you,

(1.) you don’t need, and

(2.) Does not exist. Everything you will ever need is in the word of God.

Take all I have today from me, give me the word, throw me in the desert, and I will still produce. Your location does not determine your prosperity; the word of God does. The fact that you live in the First or Third World does not matter; the word of God is the same. Simply walk by the principles of the word of God and the devil cannot stop you.

Over time, we have given the devil credit that he does not deserve. When things happen, rather than taking responsibility, we shift it to the devil. Beloved, rise up and take your place. Give the word the first place. Let the word of Christ guide you. Seek first His kingdom. Prioritise Him in all you do. Don’t get consumed with other things and put God in second place. Do not expect His blessing if you do such things. It doesn’t work that way. Become hand in glove with Him in the work of the Kingdom.

Today, the gospel of Christ is being perverted. So if you must hear God clearly, you must choose the word. Don’t run with every opinion. The Bible says blessed is he that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly. Find out what God is saying concerning your situation. It is unfortunate that some believers compromise when they are under pressure from the traditions of men. You must know that you are a Christian. And just because others seem to be in the majority does not mean they have the answer. Stick with God and He will give you the solution. I bless you in the name of the Lord. Amen!

PRIORITIZE THE WORD OF GOD.

Matthew_4-4: But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:4 (KJV)

In Matthew 4, Jesus Christ was confronted by the enemy. The Bible says He had fasted, was hungry, and that it was time to eat. The enemy suggested to Him what He should do. His back was against the wall but He didn’t do as the enemy said. He said to the devil, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4, KJV). Three times the devil tempted Him and three times He reminded the devil of what is written. He did not get tired of using the word, and the Bible says that the devil left Him for a season. Then the angels came and ministered to Him.

If Jesus, the word of God, gave the word first place, how then can you survive without prioritising it? Everything you need is in the word. The word will put food on your table, clothes on your back, and a shelter over your head. Let everything else follow after the word because with the word your victory is guaranteed. If Jesus succeeded, then you are sure to succeed.

The word of God is your counsellor. We should imitate Jesus, who will always do the will of God. He said, “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work” (John 4:34, KJV). Jesus was saying that the nourishment food gives to the body is like the nourishment obedience to the word of God gives His inner man. The Bible says that God magnifies His word above His name. His covenant He will never break and He will not alter that which has gone out of His mouth. Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV) says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Prioritise the word and all that pertains to you will be preserved. I bless you in the name of the Lord.

Lord Is My Strength.

Psalms_28-7: The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

Habakkuk_3-19: The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.

“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” 1 Samuel 30:6

Life is not always rosy as some people want it to be. They suddenly wake up to the rude shock of seasons of contradictions. There comes a time when nothing seems to be working. A time of betrayal and backstabbing, when all the people you suffered for turn against you and they are all gunning for your head not because of your fault but because people are still people – they are human beings. These times of life must come – no matter what you do, fast and pray; challenges must come. They are an integral part of life. But you are not alone in this, saints of old experienced it and even the believers around you today are in various seasons of their lives. But let us learn from one of the great men of old – David.

David faced such a time in his life when the people he picked up out of nothing and gave a name suddenly wanted him dead because of a temporary loss they suffered. They forgot that they had nothing when they came to David – they were at the lowest ebb, but David saw beyond their state at that particular time and saw the potential in them which he helped to nurture. To worsen it, they forgot that David also suffered the same losses in the same attack.

Is that not like many believers today? They joined a local church when they had no form nor comeliness; there, the Lord began to give them responsibilities and suddenly they became sought after; then a little wind of adversity blows and the next thing you hear is they are stoning the Pastor, changing church, throwing away their bibles all because of a temporary setback.

Beloved, what is the right thing to do you do in such situation? Some only cry and stop at that. Crying cannot solve it. Let us learn from David, he cried, yes but he blew his nose, dried his tears and encouraged himself in the Lord. He remembered the mercies of God in the past. He remembered the love of God for him in the past and faith arose for him to ask God for direction. The rest is history. He recovered all.

Today draw strength from the Lord through His promises.

Get Full of God.

Ephesians_6-11: Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil

Psalms_139-14: I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” Ephesians 3:19

Today, I have come to challenge you to get your priorities right. Jesus, knowing the heart of man and how much we desire to have things gave us the principle of a lifetime: Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33).

I know you desire to experience more prosperity, health, success, etc. in your life. God has all these things in abundance. If God has it all in abundance, then my assignment should be to have all of God and all the things shall automatically fall in place. This means that if I am full of God, I will be full of everything good also. Often times we go about being full of God the wrong way. We pray, fast, praise, give and do all kinds of things, which are not bad in themselves and still find that we have not arrived. What is the missing link?

Is it not about what you do or about your love for Christ, It is about your knowing the love of Christ for you. You are wired by God to run at optimal level by getting filled with His Love for you. When you realize how much God loves you and spend time meditating on it, you will be supernaturally filled with His fullness. That suggests to me that you will be full of everything God is to you and has made available for you. It is a place of Shalom – Total Wellness.

When this happens, you automatically flow into the next verse 20 – God doing exceeding abundantly above all that you can ask or think according to the power that works in you. You will experience the tremendous blessings of God exploding in your life. Talk about being a blessing. MAGNET.

Get full of His Love and be full of God.

Stop Running.

Psalms_119-11: Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Matthew_5-14: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid, I Am The Light Of The World

“And Jonathan, Saul’s son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.” 2 Samuel 4:4

One of the greatest lies the devil tells the believer is that God is very angry with him and always looking out to get him and punish Him. The whole intention is to make man run from God rather than run to Him, God is love and He is forever for us and not against us.

In our text when the people in the palace heard that king Saul and his Son Jonathan had died in battle, and they were afraid for their lives. They thought that David would come to seize the throne and kill everyone that had to do with Saul. A nurse took Mephibosheth, Jonathan’s five-year old son and as she was running he fell and became lame in both feet. Mephibosheth became lame because of bad news that was based on a lie. Yes Saul was dead, Jonathan was dead and the battle was lost, but who told them that David was coming to seize the throne by force. What were they running away from?

Many believers today are suffering needlessly because they believe the wrong things about God. They think, “I am suffering because of all the wrong things I have done in time past”. Many are sick, depressed, fearful, poor and so on because they are still running from God.

Stop running from God today rather run to Him.

David was not after the life of Mephibosheth but was looking for him to show him kindness, take care of him and restore what he lost to him. God also is not out to get you. He knows all your sins and faults and still loves you. He sent Jesus to pay for your sins. He has a covenant with Jesus to ensure your wellbeing.

Stop Running!
