Worry Changes nothing

Worry Changes nothing

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?  Matthew 6:26-27

Let’s make a list—“The Advantages of Anxiety

Let’s start our list with worry helps our health.  Lose sleep and live longer.  A nervous stomach is a happy stomach, isn’t it?

We can even plan days of worry.

Monday—stress over the economy

Tuesday—list the reasons we could be unemployed by year end.

Let’s face it!  Worry has no advantages.  It ruins health, robs joy, and changes nothing!  Our days stand no chance against the terrorists of the “Land of Anxiety.”  But Christ offers a worry-bazooka.

Remember how he taught us to pray?  “Give us this day our daily bread.”  Worry doesn’t empty tomorrow of its sorrows; it empties today of its strength.  Live one day at a time.  Make it a day changer!  God’s Word says: “He will take care of everything you need!”

Choose to make every day a great day!

Let not your heart be troubled

MOTHER DUCK

Read: Luke 12:22-23

“Let not
your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe in Me also.” (John 14:1)

If you are acquainted
with nursery rhymes, you probably would have come across one titled “Mother Duck”.

It is a
story of a mother duck who went out with her ten ducklings. Each time the
mother duck said “quack, quack” she lost one of her ducklings. On each outing the
mother duck kept relating the legendary “quack, quack” and she kept losing one
duckling until on the last outing, no duckling returned and mother duck was
left alone.

It may sound
amusing but to me the mother duck symbolizes mothers who love to fret in
superlative measures. The “quack, quack” stands for the incessant worries,
agitations and irritabilities that such mothers characteristically engage in. some
of the worries are often uncalled for and the more they worry the more they
lose their peace until they become hypertensive.

Read this
story twice and determine to avoid the mother-duck syndrome.

Even men
sometimes succumb to this attitude. Jesus has come to give you peace! When you
worry, you lose all. When you trust God in spite of turbulent “quack, quack”
situations, you win solid victories in life’s hardest battles.

Trust And Obey, For
There Is No Other Way To Be Happy In Jesus, But To Trust And Obey!

May Our God The
Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus
Christ Name, Amen!
