Fear Is a Name and It Has To Bow To The Lordship Of Christ Jesus (Jairus)

FEAR IS A NAME AND IT HAS TO BOW TO THE LORDSHIP OF CHRIST
JESUS (JAIRUS)

But when Jesus heard
it, He answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made
whole (Luke 8:50)

The scripture above is from the story of a man called
Jairus. He came to Jesus because he wanted Him to heal his daughter that was at
the point of death. As Jesus went with him, news got to them that Jairus’
daughter had died. At this point Jairus was discouraged but Jesus said to him,
“Fear not, only believe.” Jesus spoke immediately to stop the fear.

You have to stop the fear in your life. Don’t give in to it.
If fear comes in, it keeps you in bondage and you lose your miracle. Situations
around you might be contrary; you might be faced with pictures of fear,
failure, and lack, but don’t claim the fear, don’t talk fear. Instead, talk
about your miracle, talk about your success. Moreover, talk about your great
Heavenly Father and His power.

The Bible says, “Wherefore
God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every
name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and
things in earth, and things under the earth” (Philippians 2:9-10).
Fear is
a name and it has to bow to the Lordship of Jesus Christ! You’re founded on the
Name of Jesus Christ, and you can’t be moved or shaken.

Keep training yourself in the Word of God until fear is
completely banished from your life. Say to yourself. “I refuse to fear, the life of God is in me. I am a victor in Christ
Jesus. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world”.

CONFESSION

I refuse to fear for
I am not ignorant of the wiles of the devil. I choose to walk in the
consciousness of who I am in Christ Jesus. The greater one lives in me, Amen!

You are God’s peculiar treasure, please know your worth, value in Christ Jesus

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

You are God’s peculiar treasure, please know your worth in
CHRIST JESUS

“I hate myself”.
“There is nothing good in me.”
Have you ever met folks who talk this way?
Such people sometime wouldn’t even look at themselves in the mirror anymore.  It’s a pity that many people don’t know their
worth. It’s your responsibility to know what you’re worth; to discover the
treasure God has placed in you, and use it to beautify your life.

The Bible says, “For
we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath
before ordained that we should walk in them”
(Ephesians 2:10). So you see,
you’re God’s best and He wants you to discover the treasures He has deposited
in you. He gave you the necessary material which is the Word so you can live in
glory.

It’s your responsibility to discover your worth by studying
the Bible. If you could only look inward and use the Bible to build yourself
up, you’ll always value yourself. The Word – the Bible is your mirror: “But we all, with open face beholding as in
a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to
glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord”
(2 Corinthians 3:18).

As you discover your worth, you’ll also discover God’s
purpose for your life. You’re valuable to Him that’s why He placed you on earth
to affect the lives of many in this world. You have to acknowledge what He has
deposited in you and walk in the light of it.

CONFESSION

I know who I am. I am
conscious of the life of Christ in me and I know I can do all things, through
Christ that strengthens me. I am His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto
good works and God’s eternal glory, Amen!

God Takes Pleasure In The Prosperity Of His Children.

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

GOD TAKES PLEASURE IN THE PROSPERITY OF HIS CHILDREN.

God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His children. The fact
is, He longs to see His children live every day in prosperity. Once you can
find your place in God, you’ll prosper as God has ordained: “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich,
and He addeth no sorrow with it”
(Proverbs 10:22). Any of His children who
is not prospering in His Word hasn’t found his place yet.

God will never withhold any good thing from us (Psalm
84:11). As a fact, He loves to give to us more abundantly above all that we can
ever think or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). He can give you whatever you desire
beyond what your mind could ever fathom. All you need do is to believe and
trust Him; you shouldn’t limit Him in anyway.

God created the galaxy, the sun, the moon, and the starry
heavens. The earth is just a minute part of everything God created. The best of
all His creation is you; you are His masterpiece, the crown of His creation
(Ephesians 2:10). The sun was created big, the earth was created spherical and
big, but you were created with the greatest precision, even to the most
minuscule detail. For example, you were created with fingerprints that are
unique to you alone. You were beautifully and wonderfully created to produce results
(Psalm 139:14). The whole creation isn’t complete without you for every other
thing was created for you.

This is why I love to celebrate God. When you learn to
celebrate Him without reservations and in spite of your situation, His power
will be released upon your life. That power makes you a productive and fruitful
person. Remember, you’re the fruit-bearing part of the vine.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank
You for giving me Your Spirit to remind me constantly of Your unending love for
me. Let this love be evident in my life and continually flow from my lips so
all will know that You take pleasure in them as You do in me, in Jesus Christ
Name, Amen!

God Is More Willing To Give To You, Than You’re Willing To Receive

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

GOD IS MORE WILLING TO GIVE TO YOU, THAN YOU’RE WILLING TO
RECEIVE!

And it came to pass,
when He was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus
fell on his face, and besought Him, saying, LORD, if thou wilt, thou canst make
me clean (Luke 5:12)

There’re lots of people today whose mindset is like that of
the leper in the scripture above. They know God has the power to do anything
for them but they’re not sure He’s willing to grant them the miracle they
greatly desire. “I don’t know if it’s
God’s will to heal me,”
they’ll say, and then run to the doctor for help!

Notice that the leper didn’t question the power of God. He
knew God had the power to heal him. He had heard about Jesus the Healer, so he
wasn’t questioning His power to heal him of his leprosy. His only problem was
he didn’t know if Jesus would be willing to. In other words, he knew Jesus
could, but didn’t know if He would.

It often amazes me how people are quick to say they don’t
know God’s will while at the same time they demonstrate a desire for good
things. Philippians 2:13 says, “For it is
God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.”
In
other words, that desire in you for good things is a reflection of God’s desire
and His will for you to have a good life. There’s no good father who wants his
children to go through life suffering. If you’re a good parent, you won’t plan
for your children to become victim in life; you’d work hard so they won’t have
to suffer.

You couldn’t be better than God in taking care of your
family. God is more willing to provide for you than you could ever be willing
to receive provision. He desires to bless you and give you good things more
than you’re ready to receive them. That’s why Jesus said you don’t need to make
vain repetitions when you pray (Matthew 6:7).

God loves you, and He’s more passionate and concerned about
your success and prosperity in life than you could ever be. He’s more willing
to give to you than you’re willing to receive.

CONFESSION:

Dear Father, thank you
for making your love known to me and enlightening the eyes of my understanding
to know that You’re willing to give me all things. I rejoice in the knowledge
of Your Word today, and declare that success, prosperity, victory and health
are mine in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

The Lord Is My Shepherd. I Shall Not Want.

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I SHALL NOT WANT.

God’s divine power
has already given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness. Note
that this scripture (2 Peter 1:2-3) is in the present perfect tense; therefore
it’s not a promise. This means that God has already done it; His divine power
has already given us all things that we need to live the good and prosperous
life. Praise God, all my needs are met and I have no reason to lack anything in
life! No wonder the Psalmist said, “The
Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want”
(Psalm 23:1).

You must copy or imitate his mentality. You shouldn’t lack
for the Lord is now your Shepherd. He makes you lie down in green pastures, He
leads you beside the still waters, and He restores your soul (Psalm 23:3).

Refuse to lack anything. Reject the lack mentality. How do
you do this? It is by being supply – conscious! Don’t be afraid of your supply
drying up. Rather, look to your ever-loving Shepherd who supplies your every
need according to His riches in glory. Two men were asked the level of fuel in
the tank. One answered, “It is half-empty”. The other looked and happily
declared, “It is half-full”. Definitely, the first man was lack-conscious while
the second was supply-conscious. Learn to be supply – conscious.

Know this, you’re a child of God, therefore your life is in
the Shepherd’s hands. This is why you can say like the Psalmist, “The Lord is
my Shepherd, I shall not want for money, shelter  or food; I shall not want for any good thing
in this life.” Glory to God! Amen!

CONFESSION

Young lions may go
hungry or even starve, but I trust the Lord, therefore I will never lack
anything good. The Lord supplies all my needs according to His abundant riches
in glory by Christ Jesus, Amen!

Once God Anoints You With The Holy Spirit Nothing Can Stop You

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

ONCE GOD ANOINTS YOU WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT NOTHING CAN STOP
YOU!

Once God anoints you with the Holy Spirit nothing can stop
you anymore. The anointing maybe unseen and unheard, nevertheless you can see
what the anointing does.

The anointing is the power of the Holy Spirit that rests on
a man. It brings the glory of God upon your life and gives you direction in
life. When that anointing rests on you. It’ll change you from an ordinary man
to a supernatural being: “And it shall
come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy
shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed
because of the anointing”
(Isaiah 10:27).

The anointing imparts authority to your words and brings
grace into your life causing you to walk in divine favour. Things just fall
into place for you; failure, poverty and defeat become separated from you. This
is why the Bible says, “….all things work
together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according
to His purpose”
(Romans 8:28).

When you receive that anointing upon your life, no weapon
fashioned against you shall prosper. If you would receive the anointing of God
into your life, you’ll only see progress. The Bible says, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more
and more unto the perfect day”
(Proverbs 4:18). There are no ups and down
for the man that walks in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. You don’t have
failure today, success tomorrow and then failure. Rather, you success shines
brighter and brighter to the perfect day; you just keep moving forward, making
progress unto perfection.

These are the kind of things the anointing of the Holy
Spirit will do for you.

PRAYER

Dear Father, my heart
is open to see the revelations of Your Word. Let Your Spirit reveal the many
hidden treasures and benefit residing in me by virtue of Your anointing upon my
life, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Holy Spirit is With You Forever

Stained glass at St John the Baptist's Anglica...

Image via Wikipedia

And I will pray the Father, and He
shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever (John
14:16).

Some Christians
think the Holy Spirit sometimes goes on a break, or takes a recess just because
at such times they didn’t “feel” His presence. You don’t have to “feel” God to
know that He’s with you. Rather, you ought to know that He’s with you always,
because the Word says so. Jesus said, “…….and,
lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen”
(Matthew
28:20). He didn’t say, “I’m with you only
when you can “feel” that I am.”
Many have reduced their experience of Christianity
to the carnal realm of feeling, and that’s so wrong, for we walk by faith and
not by sensory perceptions (2 Corinthians 5:7).

But you
might want to ask, “What if someone, having received the Holy Spirit at the New
Birth, backslides and feels that the Holy Spirit has left him or her, is this
just a feeling or was the Holy Spirit actually frustrated with all the sin in
such a person?” Well, God is not a man (Numbers 23:19), and He doesn’t act like
some earthly parents who wouldn’t relate with their kids for doing something
wrong. Sadly, this is the poor perception of God that some folks have.

That you did
something wrong won’t make the Holy Spirit leave you. Remember, you weren’t
made right with God because of your own righteousness; it came because God gave
you His righteousness. Thus, His presence with you isn’t dependent on what you
did right or wrong, or the way you feel. His presence is dependent on His
infallible Word; because of His love! That’s the reason He’ll never leave you
nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Read again
the words of Jesus in our opening verse, He said”And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter,
that He may abide with you forever”
(John 14:16). God the Father, through
the Holy Spirit abides with you forever, not sometimes. Don’t consider what
your feelings tell you. As long as you haven’t wilfully rejected Christ and His
sacrifice of salvation for you on the Cross, the Holy Spirit cannot and will
not leave you!

Even when
you err and start feeling as though the Holy Spirit has left you, it’s still
the Holy Spirit who guides you unto repentance, proving His presence with you
even at such times. If He left you, you could never return to Him! But He
wouldn’t, for He’s with you to fulfil His ministry in your life, till Jesus
comes. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

PRECIOUS LORD, I THANK
YOU FOR THE RICH FELLOWSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WHICH I ENJOY LAVISHLY TODAY,
AND FOREVER. WHAT JOY TO KNOW THAT I’M ORDAINED INTO THIS WONDERFUL UNION AND
FELLOWSHIP WITH YOU FOR ETERNITY! AMEN!

God Hasn’t Forgotten You! He Will Never Leave You Nor Forsake You!

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

Image via Wikipedia

Behold, I have indelibly imprinted
(tattooed a picture) you on the palms of each of my hands……(Isaiah 49:16 AMP).

There’re
some Christians who upon hearing other people testimonies of God’s faithfulness
wonder if God has forgotten them, and ask “O
God, what about me?”
The Lord has not and will never forget you, for He
says, “See, I have tattooed your name
upon my palm……”
(Isaiah 49:16 TLB). So, don’t give up, help is on the way!

God isn’t
partial; He’s not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which you
have showed towards His name (Hebrews 6:10). He’s a rewarder of those that
diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). Therefore all you need do is trust Him;
keep acting your faith and remain faithful and diligent in your service to Him.

He may not
respond when you want Him to but He’s always on time; He’s never late. He can
and will make happen for you what He’s made happen for others, for He’s no
respcter of persons (Acts 10:34). What He did for one He’ll do for another
under the same circumstances. And even if He’s never done what you’re asking
for anyone, He can do it for you, just because you asked Him.

So, quit
thinking that the Lord has forgotten you. In Isaiah 49:15 He assures you that
though a woman may forget her sucking child, and not show compassion towards
her own son, He will never forget you: “Can
a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the
son of her womb? Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.”

When you
hear others share their testimonies of the Lord’s goodness to them, greatly
rejoice with them and for them with all your heart! Knowing fully well that
yours is on the way, Amen! The Bible says rejoice with those that rejoice
(Romans 12:15), for as you do, you’re making room for your own testimony.

PRAYER

DEAR FATHER, I REJOICE AT THE COMFORT
AND ASSURANCE THAT YOUR WORD HAS BROUGHT TO ME TODAY. I THANK YOU FOR WATCHING
OVER ME TODAY TO DO ME GOOD, AND FOR SHOWING ME YOUR GREAT LOVE, FAITHFULNESS
AND MERCIES, IN JESUS CHRIST NAME. AMEN!

You are the saviour of the masses.

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

Image via Wikipedia

IF YOU LIVED ON THE
WORLD’S TERMS, THE WORLD WOULD LOVE YOU AS ONE OF ITS OWN. BUT SINCE I PICKED
YOU TO LIVE ON GOD’S TERMS AND NO LONGER ON THE WORLD’S TERM, THE WORLD IS
GOING TO HATE YOU. (JOHN 15:19 MSG)

Most people
think of what their country can do for them and not what they can do for their
country. Such people are known as the masses. “I don’t understand why we have
bad roads in our country; there is no water and electricity” or “The Government
is not doing enough” they say. You’ll always hear them complain and grumble.

As a child
of God, it’s important you realize that you don’t belong to the masses. The Lord
Jesus testified concerning us that we are not of the masses. You were called out of the masses to save the masses. The moment you
start thinking or talking like the masses, it means you’ve already classed
yourself with them, and society will be more than willing to treat you as such.

When Jesus
brings His Word to you, He locates you among the masses and saves your soul. He
then gives you the Holy Ghost, which automatically separates you from the
masses, to become a saviour of
the masses. Become challenged by the pain and suffering of the other people. When
you see those in need, don’t say, “why doesn’t the government help them”;
rather, think of what you can do to help. Ask yourself, “What can I do?” for
you can do a lot. The Bible shows us that throughout Joseph’s ordeal and pain
which he suffered in the hands of his siblings and boss, he never stopped
helping. This attitude distinguished him from other people and brought him before
Pharaoh. Through his wisdom, the Egyptian empire was preserved during the
famine (Genesis 41:55). Be a helper today; God is counting on you.

You’re the
solution to the problems of the suffering masses of the world. If you would
only become help – conscious, supply to you will never be a problem, God will
channel His grace towards you and you’ll be able to help more and more people
in need. You must distinguish yourself by your way of thinking.

CONFESSION

I am not of the world. I am a citizen
of Zion, called to be a saviour and a solution to the cries of the masses all
over the world. I wake up to my responsibility today, and I declare that my
ability to help others increases everyday in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!
