Announce The Good News Of Jesus Christ, The Only Begotten Son Of God

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead (Romans 1:1-4).         

The Bible says Jesus was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. He’s alive forevermore! Something else so beautiful to notice is the actual meaning of the phrase “Son Of God”; it means God in human flesh. And that’s why the Jews crucified Jesus because, by their law, Jesus made Himself equal with God when He said He was the Son of God.

But He is Himself God; that’s what the Bible shows. Titus 2:13-14 calls Him “the Great God:” “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” This is the Jesus that I tell you about.

In Acts 1, after His resurrection, as He spoke with His disciples and answered their questions, the Bible says, “…while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight” (Acts 1:9). They saw Him go up to heaven; He didn’t suddenly vanish; He levitated before their eyes. Hallelujah! The Bible says they “…looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up…” (Acts 1:10).

That was the most glorious thing to ever happen in this world: Jesus, not only did He rise from the dead, but also physically levitated—and they watched Him as He went up into heaven. Blessed be God! The Bible says two men appeared in white apparel and said to the disciples: “Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11). This is the same announcement we must make to the whole world today.

Tell everyone throughout this world that Jesus was raised from the dead and that He ascended to heaven. He’s coming back again! It’s your job to announce this good news everywhere. Let those around you know that Jesus is coming back again, and it’s sooner than they imagine.

CONFESSION

I’m bold and passionate in my intent to preach the Gospel to all those around me, for I’m the bearer of the Lord’s glory and righteousness in the world, the distributor of His mercies and grace. I pray now, that righteousness is poured forth upon the nations today, resulting in an avalanche of souls coming into the Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Be A Doer Of The Word Of God

MEMORIZE:

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” James 1:22

Read: . Matthew 7:24-27

24.  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25.  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26.  And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27.  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

MESSAGE:

James 1:22-25 tells us that we must not be hearers only, but doers of the word of God. It says that people who are not doers of the word are deceiving themselves and are qualified to be called fools. According to our Bible reading for today, a fool is someone who hears the word and will not act on it. Such a person is like someone who is building a house on sand. Some of the people God called fools according to Psalm 14:1 are those who say that there is no God.

If I were to ask many Christians if they believe there is God, they are likely to say ‘Sure’. The question is, why then are they careless with His words? Those He calls fools are those who do not take His words seriously.

 Those who don’t obey the word of God do not have the fear of God. Proverbs 1:7 says

that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.

If we all fear the Almighty God, we will not disobey His words. Those who disobey God are fools.

For some people, their ideology is, “I obey when I want, the way I want, and only the part of the word that is convenient for me.”

Such people have lost the fear of God. In Matthew 21:28-32, Jesus told the story of a father who said to his son, “Go and work on my farm.” The son replied, “I am not going.” He later repented and went. How can your father give you an instruction, and you tell him to his face, “I am not going?” If you were raised the way I was, some lashes will definitely follow such effrontery. As for the second son, the father also gave him an instruction, and he said he will obey, but he did not obey. Proverbs 25:19 says that such a son is like a broken tooth and a foot out of joint; someone who lets you down at a critical moment.

However, there was a third son that you may not easily notice in that passage; He was the one telling the story. Jesus Christ Himself was the Son who said, “I will go,” and went Isaiah 6:8. In Matthew 26:39, this same Son said, “…not as I will, but as thou wilt.”

Let your disposition to God’s word always be, “Not as I will, but as thou wilt.” My prayer is that you will always do the will of God, just like Jesus Christ.

Key Point:

Obey the word of God promptly and completely at all times, whether it is convenient or not.

5.  Father, give me the understanding never to provoke You to anger but please You with my lifestyle in Jesus Name

6.  In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, I shall not be a fair weather Christian…a believer who obeys when it’s only convenient

7.  Father, take my life and use it for your pleasure in Jesus Name

Perfection Through The Word Of God

 The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands. Psalm 138:8

Every born again child of God was born perfect through the Word OF God. God’s Word perfects everything about you; this includes your health, and academics.

Therefore, if there’s an area in your life you feel you’re not at your best, you can bring perfection to it! Speak faith filled words over that area; say what the Word has said boldly. It might be your health; declare that by His stripes you were healed, and you walk in divine health. This is how to bring perfection into every area of your life through God’s Word.

What is the legacy I want to leave behind? This is the legacy I want to leave behind. I want it to be said of me, like God said of Abraham in the Bible, Genesis 18:17-18.

Genesis 18:17-18 says :”And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgement; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.”

AFFIRMATION! I am an heir of a mega rich God. My life is programmed by God

I affirm that I am an heir of a mega-rich God! Wealth and riches have no choice but to gravitate towards me. I am rich! The Father has put everything in place to ensure that I walk in superabundance while I am here on earth. I am well-furnished for every good work and charitable donation because the Lord has commanded His blessings on me! I function today and always from the standpoint of advantage, victory, dominion, and power; for I am conscious of my heritage and the life that is at work in me.

I’m full of the Spirit. I’m patient and full of divine wisdom; I express the beauty and excellence of divinity through my words and actions every day, being continually led of the Spirit. Hallelujah! My life is programmed by God, and there is no hindrance that is powerful enough to stop me from making progress. I am a fruitful branch; I am connected to a source that can never run dry. Hallelujah! The Lord makes all things beautiful in His time and has perfected all that concerns me. I enjoy my days in prosperity and abundance as I fulfil my destiny in Christ.

My path is as the shining light that shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day. Hallelujah! My hands are blessed of the Lord, and whatever I do prospers! No matter how I start, it won’t take me long, I will become number one because of the grace of the Lord that is at work in me. Today and always, I relish these supernatural blessings that God has lavishly bestowed upon me to excel, prosper, succeed, and make progress in every area of my life. Blessed be God. Hallelujah! Reality Check. We are God’s building

We’re God’s building, His handiwork recreated by Him for His purpose. The Lord Jesus Christ said, “…I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18). He came to build us so we might serve Him with all our hearts; So don’t just have a career; build your career with God’s vision. Don’t just be called a Christian; build your faith strong on the Word. Don’t just have children; raise them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Let God’s Word train you, build you up and help you improve on what you have and bring greater profit to the Kingdom.

Death Through Adam, Life Through Christ Jesus. Exploring The Benefits That Come With Being Justified Righteous In The Eyes Of God By Our Faith In Christ Jesus

TEXT: ROMANS 5:12-21

INTODUCTION/SUMMARY

The book of Romans is highly praised for clearly articulating key doctrines such as man’s Sinfulness, Justification by faith, Regeneration, Union with Christ, Adoption, and Sanctification. The book of Romans is known for its rich, deep, glorious, and at times unsettling theological assertions and implications.

Running through chapters 1 -4, Paul highlights how humanity deliberately walk and continue to walk in disobedience; and that man, Jews and Gentiles alike needed restoration. He further declares the goal of his apostleship which is to bring about the obedience of faith clarifying that believing and obeying must necessarily go together and should never be pitted against each other.

Today, we are continuing the study looking at chapters 5 and 6, to review Paul’s comparison of Adam and Christ Jesus; and what their choices brought to humanity (world), exploring the benefits that comes with being justified righteous in the eyes of God by our faith in Christ Jesus and negating the common misconception about salvation by grace through faith.

CHAPTER 5:

The key objectives of studying chapter 5 is to further understand how God demonstrated His love for mankind, by taking the first step to reconciliation not waiting for man to be strong and perfect but while we were still sinners sent Jesus Christ to die for us.

2. That we are no longer enemies of God because of sin but reconciled forever children of God through Christ.

3. That by one man (Adam) the whole of humanity was dead in sin and by one man (Jesus Christ) humanity is now dead to sin and restored by faith,.

4. That faith in Christ Jesus, not works is the means by which God declares us righteous and justified.

Faith in Christ Jesus and the cross is the way to salvation/Justification; and therefore the foundation of our walk with God. Is salvation/Justification solely by faith?

**Apostle Paul throw more light on what happens when a person comes to faith in Christ on a spiritual level – he said such a person experiences spiritual death to sin, rather than to God; and a rebirth that equals Jesus’ own physical death and resurrection. Church Security. God protects His Church. God is deeply interested in the spiritual and physical safety of His Church

INTRODUCTION:

The Almighty God is deeply interested in the spiritual and physical safety of His Church. God protects His Church. We should be prepared to do what needs to be done to protect ourselves, but our overall safety is of the Lord. See Proverbs 21:31; Psalm 127:1.

It will therefore be foolish not to take the measures that are within our purview to protect ourselves.

There is a general misconception that since our security is in the hands of God, we do not need to bother ourselves much about security issues.

Indeed Psalm 91 and Psalm 127:1 and many others offer solid assurances to us about God’s protective shield over His children. But we will also note that David who wrote Psalm 91, 46, 23 and many others had body guards. See 2Chronicles 11: 24 – 26; 2 Samuel 23:22-24.

David chose the best among the warriors as his own personal security guards. Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, was one of David’s “mighty men”, a collection of the very best, the toughest military men.

The Bible describes Benaiah as a fearless warrior noted for his heroic exploits. 1 Chronicles 11:22. Throughout his reign David maintained a very powerful standing army. 2 Samuel 8:18; 20:23; 23:23; 1Chronicles 18:17.

God expects us to be mindful of our physical security. 

GOD IS INTERESTED IN SECURITY

Security as a concept originated from God. God takes security very seriously; He neither sleeps nor slumbers (Psalm 121:4). See also Genesis 3:24; Isaiah 14:12-20; Revelation 12:7-9. God is actually the Commander of the host of heaven – He is charge of the security of the world. God is Jehovah Sabaoth. Psalm 46:7. God watches after the world. Psalm 127:1.

There are biblical references which support the view that God is invested and interested in security.

In Genesis 3:24, we see a cherubim guarding the Garden of Eden with a flaming sword.

The Bible describes Angel Michael in terms that reflect his status as a warrior leading an uncountable number of very powerful fighting angels who excel in strength. Psalms 103:20. 

Michael the Archangel is in a sense, Heaven’s 5-star General. See Daniel 10:1321; 12:1; Revelation 12:7-8. 

Believers must therefore note the following facts:

1. It is God, not humans that invented security. Genesis 3:24, Isaiah 14:12-20; Revelation 12:7-9.

2. God has emplaced security in the present heaven. Isaiah   14:12-20; Revelation 12:7-9. 

3. God deployed security to guard the Garden of Eden. Genesis 3:23-24. 

4. God has designed a security architecture for the coming New Heaven and New Earth. Revelation 21:12. The gates of the New Heaven and New Earth will be guarded by angels. Revelation 21:27.

5. Our protection is God’s duty, and this is guaranteed. See    Psalm 121:4. 6. God deploys chariots for the protection and defence of His choice vessels whose destinies and ministries are tied to destinies of nations. See 2Kings 6:16-18. 7. We must fulfil our part in God’s security architecture for the Church. Do not take chances with Church security. See Ephesians 4:27, 1Peter 5:8.

PYSICAL SECURITY IN THE BIBLE

There are many instances in the Bible to support the view that God wants us to be proactive concerning our physical safety.

Moses defended the daughters of Jethro when other shepherds drove them and their flocks away from the watering place. See Exodus 2:16-17.

The ancient congregations of Israel had gatekeepers who watched out for danger. Let us not be “in the spirit” such that we neglect to do the things that God requires us to do for our safety. See 1 Chron 9:21-24, Nehemiah 4:10-23. But more critically, see Luke 22:36.

The Church must protect itself from enemies that will easily harm us if we are not watching.

God expects us to be wise. See also, Numbers 1:53, 2Kings 11:7, 11, Esther 8:10-11, Exodus 2:16-17, Judges 2:16, Psalm 94:16, Ezekiel 33:1-9, Luke 22:36-38 and Psalm 144:1, 6.

The Bible has a lot to say about not ignoring physical safety.

In Luke 22:36, the Lord directed His disciples to carry a sword for protection.

Paul the Apostle was kept from those who would have harmed him on many occasions. See Acts 9:25; 17:10; 19:30; and 23:10.

Nehemiah trusted God for the safety of the children of Israel but they held swords in one hand for their protection as they built the broken-down walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah 4:18.

Father Abraham had trained security guards. Genesis 14:14.  

The Lord told us to turn the other cheek in Matt 5:39, but this was within the framework of self-control in personal interactions. He commanded the disciples to be armed for their protection in perilous times or situations. See Luke 22:36-38.

Consider this:

1. The Levites were not only to help the priests in their service and administration, but also to be guards for the Tabernacle, and later for the Temple. See Numbers 1:53.

2. Benaiah who was a member of King David’s team tagged his mighty men, was the son of Jehoiada, a priest. See 1Chron 11:21-23; 12:27.

3. After the usurper, Queen Athaliah had reigned for eight years, the High Priest Jehoiada had Levites who were Temple guards to serve as the personal bodyguards for Prince Joash as he was crowned the King. See 2 Kings 11:17-11.

4. God always raised men and women in the mould of military leaders to rescue Israel from their oppressors. See Judges 2:16. 

5. When Mordecai became the Prime Minister of Persia, he authorized the Jews to defend themselves if attacked. See Esther 8:9-11.

6. In the Old Testament, God promised the Israelites that they would dwell in the land in safety if they obeyed His commandments. He was guaranteeing their safety. Deuteronomy 12:10. See Leviticus 25:18–19; 26:37. The Israelites defended themselves against the Amalekites after leaving Egypt. See Exodus 17:8-16. 8. The Lord Jesus taught His disciples the importance of self-defence. See Luke 22:35-36. 

CONCLUSION

Children of God must be actively involved in designing physical security measures to keep worshippers safe. There were angels all around baby Jesus, but Joseph played his part.

Matthew 2:12-15. Believers must proactively prepare for unforeseen security challenges.

Proverbs 22:3. We must responsibly protect our worship places and homes.

Luke 11:2. Saints of God must be security conscious at all times, but not out of fear.

Matthew 24:43. It is Biblical to defend ourselves against attackers, in concert with state security agents. 

Esther 8:10-11. We are to watch and pray.

Mathew 26:4. Vigilance must precede our prayers. Vigilance should and must be our watchword at all times. The fact is security begins with you the individual. You are in reality the best security officer for your life and personal property. It is true that as children of God, we are encompassed with a network of angelic guards (Psalm 91:1, 11-12) and in some cases, human security operatives, but we must take charge of our personal and collective safety. This has to remain our personal nonexchangeable responsibility (Nehemiah 4:9).
