SOME OF US ARE MONTHLY SALARY EARNERS!

EVEN IF WE WERE BUSINESS MEN!

WE OPERATE ON A BUDGET

When “it” finishes now, you will be the first to ask “What was he doing with his salaries?”

The Month of April is coming to an end in few days’ time and I am grateful to GOD for life and provision and every other thing He alone chose to bring my way.

Thank You JESUS!

In this month of April I got 55 calls, chats and text messages for financial assistance, ranging from Urgent 2k to N500K.

Yes! I started counted them when they started becoming too much!

Now, I can no longer comment on a status, without getting a text for help! I don’t blame anybody, Nigeria is tough at the moment, but remember we are all in it!

Some friends, I am even afraid to call and check up on them, Why check up on them when you cannot elevate their suffering.  

I keep wondering why these people think I have all this money! Even if I am super rich, I still have my own challenges.

I have not built a house for myself and for my family, which is one primary concern of every good man. I am not talking of my dream house, just a roof over my head that will cancel the yoke of house rent in my life forever.

A Wealthy Man Should At Least Have His Own House, No Tenant Is Wealthy! Every Tenant Is Struggling!

Any Tom, Dick and Harry can own a car, but A HOUSE! It takes an ODOGWU to be a LANDLORD or A LANDLADY!

I wouldn’t even mention friends that sells goods I will categorized as luxuries at the moment that gets mad when you exit their whatapp groups or when you tell them in your nonsense voice to stop bombarding your phones with pictures of things you don’t need at the moment, why flood my phones daily with more than 30 pictures and still flood your whatapp status with the same pictures and my phones automatically save all these pictures and videos on my devices, cluttering their internal memories.

 We are all trying to survive!

I am cutting off some things in my life to enable survive Nigeria with the Grace of GOD!

I told a friend I have not switched on my generator for 6 years, he couldn’t believe me, he asked me why, I told him, I cannot be fuelling my car and my generator at the same time!

A kilo of chicken is now N6k, which is just one lap of a chicken Oooo! I have cancelled chicken from my menu.

I buy one crate of egg, which is 30 pieces of eggs, we go chop am for 2 weeks.

Jesus, The Mediator Of The New Testament.

 To me, though I am the very least of all the saints (God’s consecrated people), this grace (favor, privilege) was granted and graciously entrusted: to proclaim to the Gentiles the unending (boundless, fathomless, incalculable, and exhaustless) riches of Christ [wealth which no human being could have searched out] (Ephesians 3:8 AMPC).         

In Hebrews 9:16, the Bible says, “For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.” The word that’s translated “testament” in that verse is the Greek “diathēkē” and it means the last disposition, the last will. The 17th verse says, “For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise, it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.”

It’s saying that as long as the person who made the will is alive, the will has no power; it can’t be effected. But once he’s dead, the will comes into effect. This is telling us about Jesus, the mediator of the New Testament (the new will). So, the question is, what’s in the will that Jesus left for us? What did He assign to us? What did He give us?

Jesus gave us everything that was His; everything, including His life! If a man writes in his will and says, “I’ve given you everything I have,” it’ll be wise to find out what he had. In our theme verse, Paul the Apostle, by the revelation of the Spirit, gives a description of what he was sent to preach about this last disposition, which is the description of the wealth of Jesus that He bequeathed to us—what we have in the will! He called it “…boundless, fathomless, incalculable, and exhaustless riches of Christ [wealth which no human being could have searched out].” How refreshing!

In Colossians 1:12, the Bible says, “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.” Thus, the Father has qualified us to be partakers of the riches of Christ.

How do you walk in it? It’s through the Word. As you study and meditate on the Word, not only will you discover your inheritance in Christ, you’ll also begin to relate with and enjoy all that God has made available to you in Christ Jesus. Acts 20:32 says, “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.” Glory to God!

No Compromises!  Christianity Is A Call To Righteousness.

 Romans 12:2 CEV “Don’t be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him.”

Some Christians want to see God’s glory in their lives, but they choose to live differently from what the Word says. It can’t work that way! You’ve got to live in accordance with your righteous nature, and the Word of God is the light that you need to do so.

There’re many things that try to distract you from following the Lord and living according to His Word, but the scripture says, “Don’t be conformed to this world!” Though you’re in the world, you’re not of the world; you’re different and you’ve got a new life in Christ now.

Therefore, don’t compromise! Live in God’s Word. Let nothing of the world lure you because Christianity is a call to righteousness. Right living is a product of righteousness, and the reason you can live right is that God has given you righteousness as a gift (Romans 5:17).

You shouldn’t live like those who have never known the Lord. Live by the Word. We’re Word practitioners (James 1:22); we produce fruits of righteousness. How can you comfortably lift your hands in worship and say, “I love you, Lord,” and not keep His Word? The proof of your love for Him is doing His Word. He said, “If you love me, show it by doing what I’ve told you” (John 14:15 MSG). Prove your love by living for Him and doing His Word. Manifest His character, His life, and righteousness, and give full expression to that glorious and righteous nature in you.

Order That Devil Out! You’ve Got God-Given Authority Over Devils.

 Luke 8:28-29 “… “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me!” For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man….”

When you read this account of the demon-possessed man at Gadara in full detail, you begin to wonder, “Why didn’t the devils come out immediately, rather than the man running to Jesus?” Let me explain: First, you need to understand that every human being has to run his own life; you can’t cast the devil out of someone who doesn’t want the devil to go, except the person places himself under your influence. This mad man at Gadara was possessed by demons for a long time. He was so maniacal that he cut himself with sharp stones, night and day, and anytime he was bound with chains and fetters, he broke them (Luke 8:27-33).

Now, something happened before he ran towards Jesus; when Jesus was still a distance away, the devil in him cried out with a loud voice; that’s what we read in our opening verse; this happened when the Lord first commanded the devil to come out of the man. So, even though the devil didn’t leave the man, he couldn’t stop him from running to Jesus. Until the man in question placed himself under the Master’s influence, by running towards Him, he couldn’t be helped. It’s the same way today.

You’ve got authority over all demons and the cohorts of darkness in the Name of Jesus. If there’s anything you’re uncomfortable with, and you can perceive that a demon is responsible, order him out. You don’t have to scream and shout to do it; there’s no distance in the realm of the spirit.

Command him to stop his operations and manoeuvres; it doesn’t matter where he is in this world, he’ll hear you. However, remember, when it has to do with casting him out of a person, it works best when that one places himself under your influence.

Together As One With Christ Jesus.

Together As One With Christ Jesus.

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:4-6)

God wants us to catch this message and take it to the ends of the earth. He says, you that were dead in trespasses and sin, has He quickened, that is, made alive together with Christ. In other words, when Jesus was on the Cross, we were united with Him in His death. He died as “us” on the Cross. He was “us” on the Cross. When He was crucified, we were crucified in Him. When He died, we died. Hallelujah!

When He was buried, we were buried with Him. When God raised Him back to life, we were raised back to life. We’ve been raised up together and made to sit together with Him in heavenly places. He has become the head of the body; together, we’re now Christ, because we died in Him, were buried in Him, and were raised back to life in Him. Now we’re one with Him!

The Bible says, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17). We’re joint heirs with Him (Romans 8:17). We’re together as one. Hallelujah! Ephesians 1:22-23 says, “And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”

He’s the one who fills everything (Ephesians 4:10), yet His fullness is the Church, which is His body. We’re His completeness, and we’re complete in Him: “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power” (Colossians 2:9-10). Praise God!

CONFESSION

I’ve been baptized into the body of Christ, brought into union with divinity. When Christ was raised from the dead, I was raised up together with Him. Now that He’s seated on the throne, I’m seated together with Him in the place of dominion, glory and authority. Blessed be God!

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light 1 Peter 2:9

If you went to another school to represent your school, you’d want to be at your best and give a good impression of your school. In the same way, you’re a representative of God’s Kingdom; therefore, this should reflect in everything about you from the way you walk, talk and dress. Always look clean, sharp, and smart; this shows you’re an excellent child.

Remember, you’ve been called out from the rest of the world to teach them the way to live. Therefore, let this show in everything about you including how you dress.

I affirm that God’s label is on me

I affirm that God’s label is on me, for I am His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works. Therefore, as I go about doing good today; my life is filled with God’s goodness and grace. I am led in the path of truth, for the wisdom of God is at work in me. I abhor falsehood, and I am firmly established in God’s Word which makes righteousness manifest in my spirit. Hallelujah. The eyes of my understanding are enlightened with the revelations of God’s Word.

I am in sync with the Spirit, knowing and walking in God’s perfect will for me. Through God’s Spirit, I walk worthy of Him unto all pleasing, fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God’s Word. I am far removed from the arena of assumption, far removed from the corruptive influences of this world. I am seated together with Christ in the place of power; far above all principalities, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world but also in that which is to come.

I live in dominion over sin, sickness and infirmities, and every opposing force, accusation, or hindrance. Hallelujah. I am one with the Father. The Lord has sent His angels before me to minister for me daily! As I affirm the Word, they’re dispatched to establish the words of my mouth and ensure that the words that I speak do not come back to me void. I am never alone because the host of heaven are with me always! Glory to God. Amen.

THE STUDY OF THE BOOK OF ROMANS, FOCUS ON CHAPTERS 4 AND 6, DEATH THROUGH ADAM, LIFE THROUGH CHRIST

TEXT: ROMANS 5:12-21

INTODUCTION/SUMMARY

The book of Romans is highly praised for clearly articulating key doctrines such as man’s Sinfulness, Justification by faith, Regeneration, Union with Christ, Adoption, and Sanctification. The book of Romans is known for its rich, deep, glorious, and at times unsettling theological assertions and implications. Running through chapters 1 -4, Paul highlights how humanity deliberately walk and continue to walk in disobedience; and that man, Jews and Gentiles alike needed restoration. He further declares the goal of his apostleship which is to bring about the obedience of faith clarifying that believing and obeying must necessarily go together and should never be pitted against each other.

Today, we are continuing the study looking at chapters 5 and 6, to review Paul’s comparison of Adam and Christ Jesus; and what their choices brought to humanity (world), exploring the benefits that comes with being justified righteous in the eyes of God by our faith in Christ Jesus and negating the common misconception about salvation by grace through faith.

CHAPTER 5:

The key objectives of studying chapter 5 is to further understand how God demonstrated His love for mankind, by taking the first step to reconciliation not waiting for man to be strong and perfect but while we were still sinners sent Jesus Christ to die for us.

2. That we are no longer enemies of God because of sin but reconciled forever children of God through Christ.

3. That by one man (Adam) the whole of humanity was dead in sin and by one man (Jesus Christ) humanity is now dead to sin and restored by faith,.

4. That faith in Christ Jesus, not works is the means by which God declares us righteous and justified.

Outlines:

Faith in Christ Jesus and the cross is the way to salvation/Justification; and therefore the foundation of our walk with God. Is salvation/Justification solely by faith?

Benefits Of Justification – Rom 5:1-4

• Peace with God

• We stand in God’s grace

• We have hope for eternal glory

By one man’s disobedience all were made sinners – Gen 3, Rom 5:12-14.

Solidarity in guilt implies solidarity in penalty – Romans 6:23, Ezekiel 18:4

Sin and death principle – Psalms 51:5, Psalms 58:3, Job 14:4

By obedience of One (Christ Jesus) all are made righteous by faith Romans 5:15-19

CHAPTER 6:

The key objective in this chapter is

1. Refute the misconception that grace is latitude for sin – Rom 6:1-2.

2. Paul’s admonition that Christians should not continue in sin, once they have been declared righteous by God.

3. How a Christian sees himself is an important component of the “obedience of faith”

Outline

God’s grace is greater than sin: Rom 6:1-2

Crucified with Christ Rom 6:3-6

Apostle Paul throws more light on what happens when a person comes to faith in Christ on a spiritual level – he said such a person experiences spiritual death to sin, rather than to God; and a rebirth that equals Jesus’ own physical death and resurrection. The person is then raised to a new spiritual life.

Not a slave to sin – Rom 6:4-14

Consider yourself dead to sin – Rom 6:11

Lifestyle of volunteer slavery to righteousness – 6:15-23.

OBEDIENCE BRINGS VICTORY

TEXT: JOS 8:1-26

INTRODUCTION: We have been on the theme of Obedience since the beginning of February.

Every of our teachings in the Digging Deep services have led us to the irresistible conclusion that there can be no positive turnaround without obedience.

The word obedience have been defined and described in so many ways by the teachers in the previous lessons. Some of the definitions are that obedience is:

1. Hearing the word of God and acting on it

2. Aligning with God’s will as well as doing what God has asked us to do as well as completely surrendering to His bidding

3. Basing our decisions and our actions on the word of God.

4. Compliance with an order, request or law or submission to another’s authority.

5. Ability to hear what God speaks to our heart as well as what He says in the word and acting on them speedily, whether it looks good or not.

OUTLINE I: “HOW” AND “WHY” OF OBEDIENCE

It is quite easy to point at another person as disobedient. But we need to be introspective and check on our own level of obedience. Most of the time we do not realise that we are living in disobedience.

A). The How.

I. There must be a relationship. You must get to know who God is for you to obey His commands.

1 Samuel 3:9-10, Acts 9:4-5, John 15:10-11, 1 John 2:3-5, Phil 3:7-11

ii. Reading God’s words and meditating on them. Jos 1:7-8, Ps 1:2, Ps 119:7

iii. Trusting in the promises of God contained in His words (spoken and written) James I:22-25

iv. By prayer- Seeking the help of the Holy Spirit. Luke 18:1, I Tess5:17

B). The Why.

i. There are rewards Deut 28:1-14, Isaiah 1:19

ii. There are consequences for Disobedience. Deut 28:15-45, Is 1:20, Gen 3:23-24

iii. Peace of mind and happiness. Job22:21-28

iv. We have God on our side against the enemy. Ex23:22, 2Chro20:22

OUTLINE 2

OBEDIENCE IS KEY TO GREAT VICTORY

A. Obedience is the key to great and unalloyed victory

• Joshua in the battle of Ai. Joshua 8:1-26

• David at Ziklag. 1 Sam30:1-18

• David against the Philistines. 1 Chron14:9-16, 1 Sam 23:2-5

• The widow of the sons of the Prophet had victory against Creditors. 2 Kings 4:1-7

• Isaac had victory against lack and famine. Genesis 26:2-12

• Joshua in the battle against Jericho. Joshua 6:1-4, 20-21

B. Disobedience or Lack of Consultation with God on the other hand brings defeat

➢ Joshua went to battle against Ai without consulting God and when the Israelites were in disobedience to God’s instruction. Josh 7:1-11 (Achan’s disobedience)

➢ Saul and Israel went into battle against the advice of Samuel and lost to the Philistines.  I Sam 28:16-18

➢ The sons-in-law of Lot did not follow God’s instruction to depart from Sodom and perished. Gen 19:14

➢ The young Prophet disobeyed God’s instruction not to stay after delivering God’s message. 1 King13:1-24

➢ Disobedience brings sorrow. Isaiah 1:20, Deut 28:15

➢ Samson disobeyed all the laws of the Nazarenes and that of his parents. Judges 14:1-4

➢ Nebuchadnezzar disobeyed the instruction to drop pride and arrogance. Dan 4:27, 30-33

CONCLUSION

It is in our interest to obey the instructions and follow the will of God. All that God created are loved by God and He cares for them as well. But He blesses the obedient. He prefers obedience to sacrifice.

1 Sam 15:22, Proverbs 21:2-3.

Partial Obedience is no obedience. It has to be total and unfeigned. We obtain victory over the flesh and external enemies by our obedience. Victory over the unregenerated flesh and satanic forces are ours if we truly obey divine instructions. 1 Joshua 1:8.
