Listening carefully to what God says

I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure. . . . I love Your law.

Psalm 119:162-163, NKJV

When have you totally misunderstood God’s Word?

When He said, “Love one another,”

did you think He meant to tolerate sin? (1 John 4:7)

When He said, “in all things God works for the good,”

did you think that every story has a happy ending?

(Rom. 8:28)

When He said, “I will surely bless you,” did you think that He

would make you healthy, wealthy, happy, and problem free? (Heb. 6:14)

Isn’t it amazing how we can misinterpret what He says? Listening carefully to what God says is important, because if we misunderstand what He is saying, we set ourselves up for disappointment, discouragement, and disillusionment.

So . . . would you be quiet and listen with your eyes on the pages of your Bible? Listen for His still, small voice to whisper to your heart through His Word.

THROUGH FAITH, WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE WORLDS WERE FRAMED BY
THE WORD OF GOD

And he said unto them,
cast the net on the right side of the boat, and ye shall find. They cast
therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fish
(John 21:6)

On a certain occasion, after His resurrection, Our Lord
Jesus appeared to His disciples as they were rounding off an unsuccessful
fishing expedition. The disciples had toiled all night at sea and caught
nothing. When Jesus appeared to them in the morning, He asked if they caught
anything, and they reply was negative. Jesus then said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the ship
and you shall find” (John 21:6). The Bible says, “…they threw the net out and could not pull it back in, because they had
caught so many fish” (John 21:6 TEV).

Now, the big question is: “Where did all the fish suddenly
come from?” The disciples were professional fishermen, and knew all the
intricacies of fishing, yet they couldn’t catch any fish, until the Master gave
the Word. The fish came from the Word of The Master! The Bible says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped
for. The evidence of things not seen…….through faith, we understand that the
worlds were framed by the Word of God”(Hebrews 11:1-3). The fishes were
framed by the Word of Our Lord Jesus Christ!

In Genesis 1:20 the Bible says God spoke and commanded the
ocean to swarm with fish and all sea life, and the water brought forth fishes. Now,
Jesus, the Living Word of God, speaks again and His Words go out to frame the
fishes. Here, we learn that we can speak the creative word of faith to negative
circumstances and effect a change. Our words, like the words of the Master,
have creative ability, because as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).
No wonder the Bible says you shall have whatsoever you say (Mark 11:23).

This is one of the secrets to a worry-free life; knowing
that your words can create the realities you want to see in your life. All you
need do is think and talk the Word. Keep talking and calling real what God has
said concerning you, even in the face of unfavourable circumstances. That way,
you’ll effect changes in your job, finances, family, business, academics,
health or character; changes that are consistent with the will of God for you.

CONFESSION

The creative Word of
God is in my heart and in my mouth today, prevailing in my life and effecting
changes in the circumstances around me to conform with God’s Will for my life. I’m
a success and a victor forever, because The Word of God is my life, and it has
delivered to me an everlasting inheritance in Christ Jesus! Amen!

OUR VICTORY IN CHRIST JESUS! (PART 2)

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord
Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57)

As a Christian, you’re born into the life of victory. The
Bible says “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world….” (1 John
5:4). God expects you to experience victory everyday   as far
as He is concerned, there is no challenge big enough and no demon powerful
enough to stop you from walking in victory! He has brought you into the
victorious life. The only thing you need do is to walk in the light of that
victory.

Live with the consciousness that you’re a victor in Christ
Jesus; have the mindset of a victor. The Bible lets us know that we are
partakers of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). In other words, you have God’s
nature of success and victory; you’re indomitable in this life. Have this
consciousness. Let it become your meditation today, that you’re an overcomer
and a victor in Christ Jesus!

When God looks at you, He doesn’t see someone in need of
deliverance or help. He sees someone who is more than a conqueror! He sees a
victor in Christ Jesus. You’ve been called into the victorious, walk in the
light of your victory over the world, the devil and the circumstance of life!

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me forth into a
life of continuous victory! I refuse to be subjected to the crippling
principles of the world, because I walk in the light of my victory today and
everyday, in the Mighty Name of The Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!

Thank You Daddy for Our nations Nigeria and Israel! In Jesus Mighty
Name, Amen!

JUDGE ALL
PROPHECIES! TEST ALL THINGS; HOLD FAST WHAT IS GOOD. ABSTAIN FROM EVERY FORM OF
EVIL.

My dear friends don’t
believe everything you hear. Carefully weigh and examine what people tell you.
Not everyone who talks about God comes from God. There are a lot of lying
preachers loose in the world (1 John 4:1 MSG).

Some people
are quick to believe visions, dreams, or prophecies without first finding out
whether or not such visions, dreams or prophecies are in line with the Word of
God. This accounts for the mess many have found themselves in today. A vision,
dream, or prophecy that isn’t consistent with God’s Word, is not from God. In
fact, such visions, prophecies, revelations and dreams should be rebuked in
Jesus Christ Name!

The only
sure way to know if a vision, dream, prophecy or revelation is from God is to
check its consistency with God’s Word. God doesn’t contradict Himself! Take for
example, someone who dreams about getting married to a non-Christian. There’s
no need to muse about such a dream because it definitely contradicts the Word
of God. 2 Corinthians 6:14says, “Be ye
not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath
righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with
darkness?”

I
Thessalonians 5:21 says “Prove all
things; hold fast that which is good.” In other words, subject all things
to the light of God’s Word. Don’t accept a prophecy, dream or vision that
doesn’t measure up with the Word of God. Just because you felt good about it
doesn’t mean it came from God Almighty.

God’s Word
is the supreme authority-the sole standard-by which we judge whether the manifestations
we see or experience are from Him. Therefore, judge all prophecies with the
Word of God; if they’re not in sync with the revelations of the new creation in
Christ Jesus, they must be discarded.

PRAYER

Dear
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me Your Word. It is the supreme authority
by which I live and conduct all my affairs. I know without any reservation,
that the story of my life is one of Your grace, favour, and love, because I
live by the Word, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Prosperity is spiritual, progress in life is spiritual as
well and these two don’t happen by chance or by coincidence. You prosper and
make progress when you’re connected with God; that divine contact is all you
need. One of the ways to make this contact or connection is through
partnership.

God loves partnership. In fact, He designed partnership. He
initiated the first partnership ever recorded, in the Garden of Eden, when He
created man to have dominion over the rest of His creation. We’re still in
partnership with Him today. Romans 8:17 says that He has made us joint heirs
together with Christ and He further called us “…..partakers of the divine
nature….” 2 Peter 1:4.

“God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ Our
Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:9).in other words, God has called us into partnership
with His Son, Jesus Christ. You can’t produce results in Christ until you’re
conscious of this partnership: The Bible says in 1 John 1:3, “….and truly our fellowship
is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”

Make yourself relevant in reaching not only those in your
immediate environment but also the whole world for Jesus Christ. Take advantage
of the several God – given opportunities through partnership to participate in
world evangelization. Learn to join forces with others to make greater impact
in the world with the gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ, more than you could ever
make as an individual.

PRAYER

Father, I thank You
for counting me faithful to call me into partnership with Your Son, Jesus
Christ. Guide my mind I pray, so I can see the different opportunities that
you’ve made available to partake  of Your
grace in partnership, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!
