God Is Holy (Holiness requires separation from sin)

God Is Holy (Holiness requires separation from sin)

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.” (Hebrews 10:19)

In Old Testament times the Israelites worshipped God in a tabernacle, which pictured God’s holiness and His separation from sinful mankind. Any priest who entered God’s tabernacle first had to sacrifice an animal on the Brazen Altar to atone for sin. Next was the Laver in which the priest washed his hands and feet before he appeared before the Lord—once again a symbol of our need for cleansing from sin.

The tabernacle had three sections: the large area of service, the Holy Place, and the Holy of Holies.

The Holy of Holies was the place where God’s presence resided. It was hidden from view by a curtain so heavy that it took four men to move it. Only the High Priest was allowed to enter this place—and only once a year—to offer sacrifices for his own sins and the sins of the people. If anyone else tried, God would strike him dead.

Why was the place of God’s presence in the tabernacle hidden from view? Because God is so holy that no one can look upon His glory and live. No one can approach our holy God without a sacrifice of blood to atone for sin.

This was the reason for Jesus, the Lamb of God, and His sacrifice on the cross. The only thing that can satisfy the judgment of sin demanded by God’s holiness is the shedding of pure, innocent blood. And only Jesus’ blood met this high standard.

Your View of God Really Matters …

Thank God that He has made you holy by the blood of Jesus. Resolve to follow Him today, allowing Him to make you holy.

What More Does God Say?

Hebrews 10:10; John 17:19

Because God is holy, I will devote myself to Him in purity, worship and service.

May the LORD bless Nigeria, American and Israel and take care of us; May the LORD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the Lord lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

I am possessed by God. Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world

Mother Mary with the Holy Child Jesus Christ, ...

I am possessed by God. Greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world!

Possession

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with
the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of
twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth,
and pained to be delivered.
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red
dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his
heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and
did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman
which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as
it was born.

Revelation 12:1-4

John records some amazing visions-wonders in heaven, he calls them-of
the nation of Israel and satan. Central to the story is the reason
Christians can live in hope, the reason we can lift up our heads. The
woman described in chapter 12, Israel, gives birth to a child who is
the source of life, the source of hope, for every Christian, both those
on earth and those in heaven; she gives birth to the Messiah Himself.

Satan, the great red dragon, is there and ready to devour the child
that comes through the nation of Israel. In an analogous situation, in
Matthew 2 Herod, inspired by satan, is trying to find out where the
Christ child is going to be born. Failing to do that, he orders every
male child two years of age and under to be killed so that that he can
be sure he destroys the Messiah.

Satan is looking to possess human beings, and God is looking to possess
human beings. In fact, both God and satan are aspiring to do the same
thing, which is have men and women yield to them, then operate in the
earth to do their bidding. I am possessed by God. Greater is He that is
in me, than he that is in the world! One of the reasons God is in me is
so He can express Himself in the earth and get His job done through His
power!

Prayer for Today

Father,
I surrender all to You-everything I am, everything I do, and everything
I have. My one desire is to be wholly Yours and to do Your will and
glorify You. In Jesus Christ Name, Amen.

The Power Of Communion

The Power Of Communion
by Pastor Dony McGuire & Dr. Paul Graden

Last   month, Dr. Paul Graden brought us a wonderful teaching at our Sunday Worship   Celebration on the concepts and power of communion. He shared a somewhat lost   principle of the early church, in that they shared communion daily, often   multiple times a day, in their homes with those who were coming into   “the faith” as well as those who were already in “the faith.” I’ve   taken some of his teachings and broken them down in an attempt to awaken us   to some fresh realities about this all-important ordinance of our faith.

In that   time, communion typically took place prior to a meal and was preceded by a   “blessing,” much like Jesus blessed the bread before He broke it at   the Last Supper. The apostles devoted themselves to this (Acts 2:42). They   did this daily in homes (Acts 2:46). We see the Apostle Paul practicing this   also (Acts 20:11).

It wasn’t   until Rome took over the church in 313 AD that communion was restricted to   the church and the requirement for a priest to administer it started.   Interestingly enough, they allowed the “blessing” to remain at   home, which we now call “grace.” Before Rome banned communion at   home, there were hardly any records of sick or infirmed people in the church.   The only reason a “Christian” suffered illness was because they did   not understand what communion was really about. This is clearly   recorded in 1 Cor 11:28-32.

The church   had been instructed to walk in love (1 Cor 13), but they had failed to repent   to one another. Thus, some were receiving communion in an unworthy manner.   The result was that many were weak and sick, and many died. All because they   did not discern the Lord’s Body! The Corinthians missed Paul’s point. We can   learn from their misjudgment and heed Paul’s advice by understanding what   communion is about and starting off by judging ourselves first, bringing our   failings to God, repenting, receiving forgiveness and moving forward.

Communion   is paralleled with the Israelites preparation for the Exodus. They   slaughtered a lamb and its blood was applied to the doorpost to protect the   firstborn son from death. This was a typology of Jesus’ blood that would   protect us from death, as He promised us eternal life if we partake of   communion (John 6:53-54). Then the Israelites were instructed to eat the   flesh of the lamb. The next morning, millions of them left Egypt and not a   single one of them were sick or feeble! They continued taking communion daily   by eating of the “manna” (bread) that was supernaturally provided   by God.

Similarly,   Jesus instructs us to eat of His flesh and drink His blood (John 6:53-54). In   verse 56, Jesus promises that, when we do this, we will continually dwell in   Him. Luke described the promise a little differently by describing our   dwelling in Him as having our spiritual eyes opened (Luke 24:30-35).

We should   keep in mind that communion is not a “magic pill”; it must be   combined with faith (Hebrews 11:6). It is a symbol of God’s covenant with us.

God’s   grace is allowing us this glimpse “under the hood” through the   science of quantum physics. Quantum physics has been called the “Science   of Heaven Invading Earth.” The best part is that God’s grace is   communicating this complex message in terms that we all can understand.   Quantum physicists have discovered so much information that relates to   this–too much to briefly share here. But here are a couple of things to chew   on:

1. Our DNA   produces Bio-Photons, which they describe as a ball of light inside of us and   an aura of light particles outside of us. They are controlled by our thoughts   and emotions and have the ability to change our molecular structure. So, when   we partake of communion, we ingest the bread and juice. Our bodies begin to   absorb the elements into our cells and bloodstream. In faith, we believe that   the bread and juice become the blood and the body of our Lord Jesus Christ when   we partake of these elements. If we can wrap our minds around our faith, then   we have to take this a step further and realize this also introduces the very   DNA of God into our bodies and changes our DNA to His. When this happens,   diseases are healed and wholeness comes. So we should do this daily, and/or   as often as we will, and mix it with our faith.

2.   Scientists tell us that we literally phase in and out of this physical world   3,500 times per minute. Where are we when we phase out? Ephesians 2:6 tells   us that we are seated with Christ in heavenly places. Imagine the simple act   of taking communion “by faith” opening our spiritual eyes and allowing us to   become aware that we live in heaven and earth simultaneously! Then we will   see and hear God clearly and wonderfully. Then we will do as Jesus did and   only say what the Father says and do what we see the Father doing (John   5:19).

Yes, I   understand how complex these thoughts might seem in context to the way some   of us were raised, and I also understand many of us were led to believe   quantum physicists and scientists were on the opposite side of the spectrum   when it comes to the separation of the church and the world. But many of   today’s quantum physicists and scientists are believers also and are looking   for answers as to why many in the church seem to be powerless, sick and   diseased.

We can   accept the words of Jesus “by faith” and believe that when we partake of the   elements of communion “by faith,” then we’re ingesting His flesh and His   blood into our bodies. I also believe it’s within our ability to comprehend   this and then understand because He is God’s Son, we become partakers of the   DNA of His Father who is also our Father!!!

WOW!!!

For that   reason, I am asking that our church family enter into a season of taking   communion daily. Believing that when we do this by faith, we are becoming   partakers of the very life of God. No sickness or disease can exist where the   life of God exists. It’s our opportunity to step into a new realm of   understanding knowing that God the Father is not afraid to share His very   life with all of His children.

I am so   thankful for the grace of God allowing me to partake of His supernatural   Kingdom today and effect the world around me in a powerful way for Jesus. My   prayer is that you will join me and we will build a unified church as we   truly become the Body of Christ.

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

The Secret Things Belong Unto The Lord Our God

The secret things belong unto the Lord Our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law (Deuteronomy 29:29)

One Bible character who had access to great revelations through the help of the Holy Spirit was Ezekiel.

The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, Ezekiel 37:1

The children of Israel at this point in time were groaning under Babylonian captivity. They saw themselves as withered away and having no hope (Ezekiel 37:11). It took Ezekiel’s being in the Spirit, and connecting with the Holy Spirit to discover what God had in store for them; to help them see that captivity was not their end but rather God was going to restore them back to the Promised Land (Ezekiel 37:12-14). Our God is the Custodian of secrets. However, there are some of His secret we need for our benefit as well as for the benefit of our loved ones, church members, etc. until we through our spirit man link up with the Holy Spirit, we may be denied such revelations. May you not be denied the secrets you need to enter your destiny in Jesus Christ Name! Amen! This explains why it is good to go into God’s presence on Sunday morning fasting. Also, it is very beneficial to pray in the spirit at least one or two hours daily. How often are you in spirit?

As a Christian, you choose either to walk in the spirit or in the flesh (carnal). The spiritual growth of a carnal Christian is pegged, except the fellow decide to deal with the flesh. As long as you allow or tolerate carnality in your life, you may not be able to access deep spiritual truths that can change your life and that of others. Galatians 5:17 says the flesh and the spirit are in opposition. To walk in the spirit, discipline the flesh. Your flesh craves for pleasure and loves to be indulged in things contrary to the spirit. Deny it! The extent of your spiritual ascent is determined by the degree to which you deny or subdue your flesh. To successfully keep your flesh under like Paul, you must be prepared to cooperate with The Holy Spirit. Screen what you see, read or watch. Destroy any lust breeding material such as in tapes, CDs, DVDs, printed materials, internet, etc. deliberately choose the television programmes you watch. Hear no evil, touch no evil and see no evil.

Every divine secret you need to know but you fail to get will cause you regrets. Ask God for the revelation of every secret you need to know now!

May Our God The Almighty prosper Nigeria and Israel and defend us from all our enemies in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Doing The Word Of God

Doing The Word Of God

And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses

Exodus 12:35

The key to getting the power is in this verse: doing according to the

Word. The Israelites had received the Word of the Lord, but the Word

they received from the Lord came through a man. Lightning has to strike

some people before they will do what they have to do. They will sit

down with the pastor and he will tell them, from the Word, what they

need to do, yet they won’t do it because they didn’t get spiritual

goosebumps. Then they ask, “Where’s the power, God?” Well, they didn’t

do what God said.

The Israelites had not talked to God personally. They just trusted that

God knew what He was doing when He put Moses over them. So when Moses

said that this was what God wanted them to do, they did it. They were

obedient. Obedience allows you to be God’s  magnet. The magnetic

field makes the object a magnet. Your magnetic field is the anointing

of the Almighty God. It is the blessing, grace, and God’s ability that

causes blessings to come your way.

God Values Life

God Values Life

He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death. He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in his sight.

Psalms 72:13-14

We have a tendency to think of ourselves as being more civil than those who have come before.

However, God measures a society by what it does to uphold the integrity, dignity and sanctity of life. God cries out against oppression. God does not believe anyone is disposable or expendable. He issues commands in the Bible to ensure that His people knew how precious life is: Leviticus 24:17 says, “If anyone takes the life of a human being, he must be put to death.”

The prophet Ezekiel speaks out against the people of Israel who have forgotten this truth. In Ezekiel 45:9 he says, “You have gone far enough, O princes of Israel! Give up your violence and oppression and do what is just and right!”

Because every life is precious to God, it must be precious to His people.

Our job as Christians is to take a stand against such atrocities and pray that God will turn this nation back to the values upon which it was founded.

Will You Let God? God is able!

Will You Let God? God is able!

If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the Lord your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your forefathers.

Deuteronomy 7:12

There are many believers today who have received answers to their prayers and don’t even know it. From the moment they prayed, the Lord sent the answer.

Yet when they were told what they needed to do they refused to listen. They had the attitude of Naaman, whose pride almost robbed him of his healing…or like Samson, they refused to give up their addictions and live a holy life.

God desires to heal His people in every instance. In fact, God desires that no sickness be among His people (Deuteronomy 7:15). Yet in many cases, people have illnesses because they fail to obey Him faithfully.

Obedience and faith are prerequisites to covenant fulfillment. Without them we cannot receive from God for He doesn’t reward rebellion nor can He operate in disbelief.

Is there something that you desire from God? Are you willing to walk in faith? Are you willing to obey no matter what?

If you are willing to let Him, God will do all that He has promised to do for you according to His Word.

God Bless,

When we set our eyes on our misfortunes, we soon forget to express gratitude

When we set our eyes on our misfortunes, we soon forget to express gratitude

Cultivating a godly perspective of our spiritual state and our physical circumstances does not happen naturally. To fight against overlooking God’s grace and loving kindness toward us instead of complaining about our losses takes a great deal of energy and persistence. We need to develop a mindset that looks for God’s graciousness at all times.

An attitude of thanksgiving should dominate the life of the believer. Ingratitude is the mark of the enemy. Satan whispers in our ears to make us think about what God has taken away from us. God wants us to look at what He has freely given to us. “He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:32). We have so much to be thankful for!

When the nation of Israel moved out of Egypt en masse into the wilderness of Sinai, the first thing they did was complain. They complained about the conditions, the lack of water and meat, and their vulnerability to the Egyptians. God had set them free from slavery, but already they had forgotten.

“Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called . . . Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy” (1 Timothy 6:11-12, 17).

Make an impact in your world today (Nation Building)

MAKE AN IMPACT IN YOUR WORLD TODAY (NATION BUILDING)

So David prevailed
over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine,
and slew him, but there was no sword in the hand of David. Therefore David ran,
and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the
sheath therefore, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And when the
Philistine saw their champion was dead, they fled (! Samuel 17:50-51).

Nation-building, national progress and infrastructural
development is not a task for the government alone, but our collective
responsibility. We all are to make our impact felt in our respective spheres of
contact. It may be in your community, place of work, city or nation at large;
look out for a need, and reach out to meet that need.

Imagine if David had joined the rest of his kinfolks to
merely lament and muse over the terror unleashed on the Israelites by Goliath.
Rather, he rose to the challenge. He saw a need and reached out to meet the
need. When his brothers tried to talk him down he asked them, “Is there not a cause?” (1 Samuel
17:29). David wasn’t in the army, yet he was moved by the plight of his people
and chose to make an impact. He recognized he could do something that could
change the destiny of his people.

Also, Moses became the deliverer of the children of Israel
from the severe oppression mounted by Pharaoh and his taskmasters. He didn’t
sit in an “arm chair” to merely criticize Pharaoh for his wickedness. Rather,
he was spurred to action by the desire to liberate the children of Israel from
the deplorable conditions under which they lived in Egypt. What about Esther? She
too changed the destiny of her people by rescuing the Jews from mass
annihilation plotted by Haman.

These ones stood up for the salvation of others and made
tremendous impact in the world of their time. Their individual victory brought
overall victory to the nation; it’s your turn to do the same. Take your civic
and social responsibilities towards the nation seriously. Look out for a human
need around you and reach out to meet that need.

Make an impact in your world today. Have a personal
commitment to serve, as several opportunities for service abound around us. Let
there be a strong motivation, an inner drive, and a powerful propensity to see
to it that the lives of those around you are improved through your actions. Be
challenged and motivated by the desire to impact your world and give back to
society.

PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father!
I thank You for opening doors of opportunities for me to be a blessing to my
world today. By Your Spirit, and through Your Wisdom, I identify and carry out
those things you’ve ordained me to do that’ll better my world and bring glory
to Your Name, in Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Touch Not God’s Anointed, And Do God’s Prophets No Harm (Psalm 105:15)

Jesus is considered by scholars such as Weber ...

Image via Wikipedia

God said to Abraham
“And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee….”

(Genesis 12:3). Isn’t that ironic! Because of Abraham the blessings of God will
come upon a man. On the other hand, the lot of another man because of Father
Abraham is curse. Anyone who comes against you has positioned himself under a
curse and as such he’ll live in misery the rest of his life. It makes no
difference if it’s one person, two, ten, twenty or more people; they are all
operating under a sealed fate.

This is why you
should be very careful about the things you say about any man of God. Sadly, some
Christians have constituted themselves to be critics of some kind in the house
of God; they are apt to criticize men whom God has anointed. These people would
only get themselves into trouble for God hasn’t given any man such
responsibility; that’s God’s sole responsibility. Miriam was a prophetess and
Moses’ sister. However, when she spoke against Moses the Lord rebuked her and
she became leprous (Numbers 12:1-10). If God could do that to a prophetess,
don’t you think even worse could happen to any other person!

Any man who harms His anointed ones has brought a curse upon
not only himself but also his household and many generations after him. God
Almighty said “…..Touch not my anointed,
and do my prophets no harm”
(1 Chronicles 16:22).

Remember, the same fire that gave light to the children of
Israel also placed great darkness upon the Egyptians. I urge you to keep away
from anything that may cause the Holy Spirit to turn against you.”

Don’t touch them with your pen or your publication.

PRAYER

Dear Father, help me
keep my tongue and lips from transgressing against you, through my comments
about men whom you’ve anointed. Let my words be full of grace that it may edify
all that hear me, and strengthen their faith in You and Your prophets, in Jesus
Christ Name, Amen!
