It Is More Blessed To Give Than To Receive

The Benefits Of Giving

I have showed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of The LORD Jesus, how he said, it is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35).

According to the opening scripture above, Jesus said “It is more blessed to give than to receive,” meaning “It is of more benefit to you to give than to receive.” The promise of blessing is to the giver and not the receiver. As far as God is concerned, the one who gives is greater than the one who receives.

An important benefit of giving is that when you give something – be it money or other material possessions, you “Conquer” that thing that you gave, and I’ll explain what that means: Imagine you had to save and deny yourself many things so you could give God a hundred dollars. The moment you do that, you’ve exercised your faith and conquered that level, and immediately God promotes you to a higher level of giving! That means the “highest” amount you gave becomes your new “lowest” amount; it becomes your new starting points of giving. Thus your capacity to give has increased.

Another benefit of giving is the promise of abundant harvest predicted on your giving: “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom…..” (Luke 6:38).  The giver has a promise; he has a guarantee that he’ll only move upward and forward in life. He has an assurance that his prosperity will never run dry as long as he gives to God! But for the receiver, there is no promise, for receiving is a cul de sac. Therefore make up your mind be a giver.

Always be ready to give something; it may be a financial seed, or a seed of intercession or even a word of encouragement. As you learn to release, God will multiply your seeds sown and increase your ability, such that you’ll keep getting greater and greater! Amen!

Dear Heavenly Father! Thank You for granting me the grace and wisdom to be a consistent giver. Thank You for the assurance I have received from Your Word that my giving will continually take me higher. I declare that I’m a big – time giver and financier of the gospel! I thank You for always multiplying my seeds sown and increasing my ability to give, in Jesus Christ Name! Amen!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Men Ought Always To Pray And Not To Faint

Take Advantage Of Prayer Time!

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint (Luke 18:1)

Prayer is a privilege as well as a right given to us to approach Our Heavenly Father in faith and through His Word in The Bible, and by The Holy Spirit. Our Heavenly Father always wants us to take advantage of the opportunity and privilege of prayer. When Jesus said men ought always to pray and not to give up, He was looking at the connection that we have with our Heavenly Father! A connection that builds our faith through constant communication.

As we commune with The LORD in prayer, and He talks back to us, our faith is built strong, for faith comes by hearing from God – hearing His Word in your Spirit. Thus through fellowship, you hear the Word, for Our Father always speaks; He’s always in communication with your spirit, sharing His thoughts with you. So at times of prayer, your spirit is fine-tuned to hear and receive from The LORD.

Our spirituality depends so much on our communication with The LORD; when we take time off everything else and give Him our attention. This is why you must take advantage of prayer times! Take your personal times of prayer and the times of corporate prayer in your local Church very seriously. It’s so important that you do this. The Apostles in the early Church took this seriously. They had designated times of prayer; “Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour” (Acts 3:1)

It’s amazing what prayer has done for me over the years; it has changed my life immensely. That’s why I love to pray!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Submission To Godly Authority

Submission to Godly Authority
2 Corinthians 1:24 “Not that we have dominion [over you] and lord
it over your faith, but [rather that we work with you as] fellow
labourers [to promote] your joy, for in faith (in your
strong and welcome conviction or belief that Jesus is the
Messiah, through Whom we obtain eternal salvation in the kingdom
of God) you stand firm”

We all have specific skills and gifting in the body of Christ but
without direction of leadership we will all pull in separate
directions. God placed authorities in our lives for a good
reason. Through submission to your authorities will you be able
to be more effective in running your race. It’s not a one
man/woman thing but team effort.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen

Break Free From Self Rejection; The Chain Of Poverty

Break Free From Self Rejection; The Chain Of Poverty

Poverty and Shame shall be to him that refuses instruction (Proverbs 13:18)

Always, I tell people that poverty isn’t the necessarily the absence of required necessities but a mindset or mentality. It has nothing to do with material possession but a way of life. The poverty mentality is entrenched in the system of this world, and a man will remain bound by it as long as he operates under that system. Self-rejection is the chain that poverty (The devil) uses to bind people.

A poor man would say, “I’m nothing. I’m a no good. I’m just a beggar.” He talks that way because of the wrong mentality. So if he meets someone who is well dressed, he’s immediately intimidated. Always, he thinks people address him on the basis of his financial status. Though there’s no signboard on his head that reads, “I’m poor”, he carries the burden of the sign in his heart, and this is revealed in his words or actions. In other words, nobody thinks he’s poor until he says so, as it isn’t written on his head but on his heart.

Most of the time, poor people unwittingly reject themselves because of their financial conditions. You would have to reject yourself first before you feel the rejection of others or from others. Until you reject yourself you wouldn’t care that others reject you. It wouldn’t matter to you if you were turned down because you believe in yourself. For example, Jesus was rejected by His people, yet He didn’t lose His composure. He didn’t regret that He suffered; rather, He felt sympathy for the people, and prayed for them.

Never allow self-rejection take control of your life; rather, build the right mentality today. Let the Word of God wash your mind and build in you the consciousness of a champion (Romans 12:2). When the Word of God mantles you, you would think like a victor! Amen!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Behold, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers (3 John 1:2)

INVEST IN SPIRITUAL THINGS!

Even though much emphasis is sometimes placed on God’s concerns for our health, wealth and general wellbeing, God is more concerned about your spiritual growth and wellbeing than anything else. He’s more interested in the growth and development of your human spirit, for He knows that when your soul and spirit prosper, you’ll also prosper in your health, finances and other areas of your life.

It’s essential that your spirit grows unto maturity, for that’s the only way you’re guaranteed to live a successful life. Success is beyond buying a car or choice cars, owning a house or an estate, giving birth to a child, passing your exams, or landing a good job. True success is when you’re living in God’s perfect Will for your life. And only those who have grown spiritually through the Word of God are able to discern the perfect Will of God.

The quickest way to grow spiritually is by investing your time and resources in spiritual things. Like a wise farmer who plants his precious seeds in the ground in anticipation of a big harvest, you also must invest in the things of the spirit in order to reap a mighty harvest. Many haven’t learnt to do this, that’s why they’ve remained at the same level for a long time.

Learn to invest your time in the study of the Word of God, prayer, soul-winning and other spiritual activities like attending church services and other scheduled meetings regularly. Spend quality time in fellowship with the Holy Spirit every day. Invest your resources by constantly sowing seeds into the furtherance of the gospel. Before long, there’ll be a bountiful harvest, and you’ll experience tremendous growth in every area of your life, Amen!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Give More Time And Attention To Prayer

Christ in Gethsemane (Christus in Gethsemane),...

Give More Time And Attention To Prayer

Ephesians 6:18

Some people only pray when they’re compelled to do so by certain challenges they face in life, and that’s not right. As Christians we’re called into fellowship with our Heavenly Father. So for us, prayer is more than just an opportunity to get God to do something for us; it’s a fellowship, a time to commune with God and synchronise yourself with His purpose for your life daily. This is the reason you must give more time and attention to prayer.

The more time you spend in fellowship with the LORD through prayer, the more His character and personality are revealed in and through you; you’ll find yourself thinking His thoughts and functioning always in the centre of His Will. The man who prays lives with a pure heart towards all men, he doesn’t talk, reason, act or see like an ordinary man. He doesn’t criticize others as he sees only the good in them, but corrects them in love. He may be quiet but spiritual efficiency is reflected in his lifestyle, and people are drawn to him.

A prayerful Christian intercedes for others. He thinks the best of others and he’s ever willing to pray for their spiritual development and other concerns. He’s selfless, full of compassion and manifests the glory of God always because he sees the needs of others and reaches out to meet them. On the other hand, a Christian who doesn’t give time and attention to prayer is just the opposite. Criticism, complains, confusion together with lack of ideas are evident in his life.

Praying and praying the right way is an important activity in the life of every Christian. It makes a Christian’s life beautiful, vibrant and very exciting because of its attendant results I urge you today to take your personal time of prayer, devotions and meditation very seriously. Give ample time and create the opportunities in the course of your day to fellowship with the LORD through prayer. Choose your best time of the day to do this, and watch your life flourish from glory to glory, Amen!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

The Key To Effective Prayer

The Key To Effective Prayer

The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available (dynamic in its working) (James 5:16 AMP)

There’re Christians who wonder why they should pray at all since they don’t get results when they pray. For such folks, the reason their prayers are ineffective is that they are ignorant of God’s Word. If you’re a Christian, you ought to know you have the right to pray and expect answers.

Prayer doesn’t have to be lengthy or complicated; God’s response isn’t dependent on your “much speaking” (Matthew 6:7), or length of time you spent praying. 1 Corinthians 1:9 tells us, “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ Our LORD.” We were called into companionship and participation with Jesus Christ Our LORD. This means you can talk to Him as a friend and He’ll surely listen to you. You see, prayer is first and foremost a fellowship with your Heavenly Father. It’s not as difficult or mysterious as some have been made to believe.

Your prayer becomes effective when you walk in the knowledge of your righteousness in Christ Jesus. This is the beauty of prayer. James 5:16 says “…… The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Put differently, the prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working (James 5:16 AMP). This Scripture doesn’t say that every man’s prayer is effective but specifies whose prayer gets results. It’s the prayer of the Righteous Man! That prayer makes tremendous power available.

The life of righteousness is not attainable merely through good deeds but by faith in Christ Jesus. Faith, the Bible says, comes by hearing God’s Word. What you need to make your prayer more effective is the knowledge of God’s Word. The Word of God will instruct you in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). It will build in you the Right Consciousness – Righteousness – Consciousness.

CONFESSION

I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I approach the throne of grace with boldness without any sense of inferiority, guilt and condemnation. Therefore, my prayer is effective and makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working, Amen!

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Our LORD God Lives Here! In My Heart And In My Home

Our LORD God Lives Here! In My Heart And In My Home

O Lord, You have searched me and known me, . . . You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.

Psalm 139:2-3, NKJV

Once, as I prepared my house for a visit by my father, I began to clean and straighten my house. I even bought fresh flowers and plants to place around the rooms to make them seem more lovely. I wanted my home to look as inviting, comfortable, and pleasing to his eyes as I could make it. Then it struck me – if I felt this way about my earthly father’s brief visit, how much more care I should give my home every day since my heavenly Father lives here.

I am not a good housekeeper. But motivated by the thought that my house is His home also, I try hard to keep my house clean and neat. It is not professionally decorated with all the latest gadgets, but it is as pleasing to the eyes as my time, energy, and budget will allow. I want those who walk through my door to know that the Lord God lives here. And I hope the reality of His Presence is evident to all by the beauty of the outward appearance and the quality of the inner atmosphere of warmth and love they find here.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!

Joel 3. God will judge the nations. God Blesses His People

1 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, 2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land. 3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink. 4 Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompense? and if ye recompense me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompense upon your own head; 5 Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things: 6 The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border. 7 Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompense upon your own head: 8 And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it.

9 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: 10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. 11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD. 12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. 13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the vats overflow; for their wickedness is great. 14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. 15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. 16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. 17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.

18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim. 19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. 20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. 21 For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.

May GOD bless Nigeria, America and Israel and take care of us; May GOD make His face shine upon us, And be gracious to us; May the LORD lift up His countenance upon us, And give us peace, In Jesus Christ Name, we pray! Amen!
