Faith Pleases God

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Genesis 1:1

From the very first line of the Bible, God requires us to have faith. He doesn’t go into elaborate detail about who He is or how He created everything. God doesn’t lay out His case as a logical legal brief. He just states plainly, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”

Once you read these words you are compelled to either walk in faith and believe the Word of God or choose to dismiss it.

It’s clear that it takes faith to believe the Bible, because there are many unanswered questions. God wastes no time trying to talk us into believing His Word. The ability to believe God’s Word is a gift of faith from Him (Ephesians 2:8).

If you find yourself questioning the reality of God’s Word, then you need faith. How can you get faith? “Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17).

Read the Word of God, listen to the Word of God, repeat aloud the Word of God, meditate on the Word of God and sing God’s Word. This will allow faith to come-for without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).

Experiencing the goodness of God and His infinite wisdom

Proverbs 3:13, 16-18 “Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding……….Length of days is in her right hand, In her left hand riches and honor. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who retain her.”

The bible is referring to the power of Godly wisdom in your life. When you apply the Word of God, which is the wisdom of God to your life, you will find yourself on a path to fulfilling the destiny of God and experiencing the goodness of God like never before. Your life will be like tree planted by many waters, that never thirsts and never runs dry. Amen!

Let The Word Of God Dwell In You Richly. Keep Your Heart With All Diligence; For Out Of It Spring The Issues Of Life

LET THE WORD OF GOD DWELL IN YOU RICHLY.  KEEP YOUR HEART WITH ALL DILIGENCE; FOR OUT
OF IT SPRING THE ISSUES OF LIFE.

Keep thy heart with
all diligence; for out of it spring the issues of life. (Proverbs 4:23)

It’s vital that you keep the right kind of information in
your heart. Store the Word of God in you and throw away anything contrary to
it. The collection of things you store in your heart goes a long way in
influencing what type of person you’d become. The knowledge you have inside you
determines the kind of life you will live.

In Proverbs 4:23, the Word of God admonished us to guide our
heart (mind) with all diligence for out of it spring the issues of life.
Therefore, when you meditate on the Word of God alone, you’re guiding your
heart from all sorts of negative stuff.

Without the knowledge of God’s Word your heart can be dull.
Not having the ability to discern spiritual things. The Bible says such a
person is carnal. In Romans 8:7, the Word of God says, “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject
to the law of God, neither indeed can be.”

His mind has not been renewed and he then finds himself talking want,
lack and sickness. This kind of negative talk will only tend to death, for
God’s Word says, to be carnally minded is dead.

A man who loves to study must have a collection books, a man
who loves music must have a store of musical tapes and CD. Therefore, make
effort to have your own collection of good Christian materials and study God’s
Word voraciously. Store up in you the Word of God, because with it you will
become whatever the Word says. It is only through the Word of God that you can
keep your heart and mind; the Word that brings healing, peace and happiness.
The Word must dwell in you richly as the Bible exhorts, so that we can rightly
divide the Word of Truth.

PRAYER:

Lord, I thank You for
the Word. It is a light to my path and a lamp to my feet. The Word of God is
working in every fibre of my being. It is producing good results in me, in
Jesus Christ Name, Amen!

Faith Is Based On The Word Of God, Not “Optimism”

So then faith cometh by
hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

The faith that works and produces result is the one that’s
based on God’s Word. Someone may say, “I’m very hopeful and confident about the
future; I’m optimistic that the miracle I’m expecting will come to pass!” as
beautiful as that may sound, it’s not faith. You must have the Word of God as
the basis for your believing and confession, for faith is based on God’s Word;
it’s the response of the human spirit to the Word of God.

Faith is expressed when you act on the Word. The Apostle Paul
expounded in the Book of Romans how Abraham demonstrated strong faith on the
basis of what God told him in Genesis 17:5 “……for
a father of many nations have I made thee”
. hence the Bible says “He staggered
not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving
glory to God” (Romans 4:20). Abraham had God’s Word as evidence and spoke in
agreement with God; that was how his faith prevailed.

Another example is the story of the Syrophenician woman in
mark 7 ; a remarkable example of true faith. Her young daughter had an unclean spirit,
so she came and fell at the feet of the Master and beseeched Him to cast the
devil out her daughter (Mark 7:25-26). But in verse twenty seven, Jesus said to
her, “……let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the
children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.” Her response was “……yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table
eat of the children’s crumbs”
(Mark 7:28). Commending her faith, the Lord
Jesus said “…..For this saying goes thy
way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter. And when she was come to her house,
she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed”
(Mark
7:29-30). Observe that she acted on what Jesus said and went home; when she got
home she found her daughter healed. She didn’t act on mere optimism or impulse
of what she thought would happen, but on the Master’s infallible word.

Mere optimism is not a substitute for faith, for it doesn’t
have its foundation on God’s Word. It doesn’t matter how much you anticipate or
are hopeful for the best possible outcome in an endeavour, it still wouldn’t
work if your hope doesn’t translate to faith. True faith transcends the realms
of human theories, reasoning, impulses and optimism because faith is spiritual
and only come to you through the Word of God. So, for your faith to work and
produce results, it’s got to be based on God’s Word.

PRAYER

DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER, I
REJOICE TODAY AT YOUR WORD THAT’S BUILDING MY FAITH STRONG AND ENRICHING ME IN
ALL THINGS. YOUR WORD IS MY LIFE, AND THE LIGHT THAT SHOWS ME HOW TO WALK IN
THE PATHS OF VICTORY, PROSPERITY AND SUCCESS, FROM DAY TO DAY, IN JESUS CHRIST
NAME, AMEN!

Give your dreams positive interpretations.

In certain Christian circle, many believe that eating in your dream is ominous; they associate it with the activities of demons. But could there possibly be anything wrong with eating in your sleep? What’s the position of God’s Word on the subject?
Let’s begin by reviewing Isaiah 29:7-8: “And the multitude of all the nations that against Ariel…. Shall be as a dream of a night vision. It shall even be as when an hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite…” If a man eats in his dream and still wakes up hungry, it means he really didn’t eat anything. This, therefore show there’s nothing to eating in your dream; it’s just the imagination of your spirit.
Satan thrives on the fear and ignorance of people. If you had a dream for example, and then you’re uncertain about the meaning, satan could launch an attack against your mind by suggesting negative interpretations to that dream. Fear might then creep in, which ultimately could pave way for demons to have a field day. So the problem isn’t with the dream; it has a lot more to do with accepting the negative interpretation of the dream brought to you by satan.
So you ought to be smart to always subject your dreams to the Word of God. Don’t accept the lie from satan that eating in your dream is ominous; if anything, it means prosperity! Throughout the Bible, there’s no place satan gave people food to eat in a dream; only God fed people in their dream, example is Peter (Acts 10:9-15).
If you found yourself eating in your dream, don’t be afraid. Wake up and begin to prophesy: “I was eating in my dream; therefore I shall always have food. I shall always have plenty!” Don’t wake up crying that someone has bewitched you in your dream, for you’re a new creation in Christ Jesus, and every food you eat is sanctified by the Word of God and prayer. Besides, no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper, be it in your dream or in real life. Amen!

CONFESSION
I’ve learnt today to always cream my dreams. I refuse to base the outcome of my life on the lies and suggestions of the enemies. Rather, I see myself in the greater light of God’s Word as the true Victor that I am. Hallelujah! Amen!

Follow the Holy Spirit.
